Sam applauded along with the rest of the crowd as the reactor sprang to life, a soft blue glow emitting from it as it hummed with power. It was then that chaos erupted around them. A group of men in highly advanced combat suits landed and began firing repulsar blasts into the crowd while a second unit headed straight for the reactor. The first to fall was the civilians. Unprotected and unable to flee they fell quickly to the sudden and savage attack. Sam gritted his teeth in anger but knew he stood no chance without his gear. Using the madness of the fleeing crowd Sam dissapeared and was around the corner and away from the scene in seconds. He put his finger to his ear and contacted the one man who'd been helping the protector of Gotham longer then anyone.

"Alfred! I need an immediate air drop on the roof of the Hershey building."

"Right away Master Colt. Is the unveiling ceremony not going well sir?"

Sam had to supress a chuckle at the sarcastic old butlers reply.

"Not as well as I'd liked. An entire fleet of what looks like Iron Men showed up and started firing into the crowd."

"How dreadfull! What madness would drive men to do such a thing?"

Alfred asked, his joking tone completely gone now. Sam paused as he leapt up the scaffolding of the Hershey building as he ascended to the roof.

"They're after the reactor. Looks like the rest of them are just a distraction."

Sam said as he reached the maintenance ladder and began to rapidly make his way up.

"Well unfortunately for them you decided to attend the unveiling after all. Has your package arrived sir?"

Sam clambered up the side of the building just as a batplane flew over head and dropped off a large capsule on the roof.

"Right on time. Thanks Al."

Sam said with a smirk as he approached the capsule and pressed his hand to the fingerprint scanner. The pad lit up bright blue as it scanned his finger and palm prints. The screen then flashed green and the capsule opened revealing Sam's suit and equipment. He was dressed in seconds, the last thing was to pull on his cowl. With that done Phoenix stepped to the edge of the building, his cape whipping around behind him in the wind. He watched as the armored attackers fired at the defensless civilians. They wouldn't be defensless for long. Phoenix leapt into the air and opened his cape allowing him to glide over Times Square, once over the chaos he let go of his cape and threw three shuriken simoultaenously. They found their marks in the chest peices of the Iron warriors.

"Your gunna have to do better than that bird boy."

ONe said with a laugh as he looked down at the metal object in his chest. Phoenix smirked as his hand reached to his belt for his staff.

"I did..."

WIth that the shuriken sprang to life, electricity arced around them disabling the suit and stunning the men inside. The iron men dropped and the others turned to engage the newcomer.

"Take him down!"

Phoenix sprang into action, his staff extending in his hand to full length and electricity bursting at the tips.
