Matthew looked back at Jonathan, then back at Alex. He had this strange feeling for a moment, but it passed. He had seen only a bit of the diary when she grabbed it back. He then noted "Well, it really depends on the person.....", however then found himself interrupted when he heard commotion from the street about the armed men. Matthew's mind was starting to drift back on what has happened when she noted his brother took the oreos. He then noted "So you admit to taking the $5 then....". However, he had realized something. They could try and make small talk and avoid it for now, but he knew that this couldn't last forever. City seems to be occupied, people with suits, people with uniforms, and then there was him. The man from the subways.

And frankly, Matthew wants answers more then anything. Perhaps a bit of rage still survived in that need. At the school, they tried to take him alive, shooting witnesses instead. At the subway, the man tried to kill him. The one thing that didn't fit was the death of his parents. He knew this. The men in the suits also decided not to use lethal force.

He knew this would probably get him no answers, but he decided to ask anyways. "Why do you think our parents were killed and our house blown up. Its the one thing in this that doesn't make sense. Excluding the serial killer from the subway, everyone has tried to take us alive. Or me anyways And if it was the killer, why them anyways. And why explosives. It doesn't make sense....Any ideas?"
