Leo heard Snow's voice in his head after she trampled off. He sighed and stood up. Suddenly he heard her howl. "Well..." His ears registered the howl, then Snow's worried/joking voice in his head. Something wasn't right. He shifted immediately. We will converse in our minds. He said to the Beta and Delta. The higher ranks had their own private line they could communicate without the lesser ranks hearing the pack issues.
He picked up Snow's scent and ran to it, seeing her he frowned, she was injured.
What happened? He asked concern on his wolf face. He saw the broken tree and it seemed singed from a flame that had been extinguished.
He lowered his body.
Get on...you're going back to the den. He looked at her his eyes full of concern and worry. She was hurt...he wanted the others to look at her before bringing her into town.
