Maren leapt from building to building, his high speed showing just how late he was for his first day in a squad.
{Ugh... Today of all days... NOT cool, brain...} Maren thought, causing his brain to question why he was blaming himself. He directed his chakra into his legs, and rocketed off of the pole he'd landed on as he headed to the academy. A few seconds later, he was picking himself out of the tree he'd landed in, falling onto the swing underneath and cushioning the blow with his head.
"Ten foot drop, yup, that's the Academy swing." he said to no one in particular as he rolled himself upright. He stood up and looked around for his team, barely remembering who he was going to be teamed up with. He also sent a quick prayer off, hoping that he wasn't too late.
