With his hand on Amy's face, Leo waited for a reply. It felt like hours had passed in silence, no reply from the woman that he loved. He was beginning to get worried, and was about to speak to her, something stopped him. A tremble in the ground, one that caused him to freeze. It wasn't right. Something terrible was about to happen, something he hadn't experienced in years. The trembling under the ground grew more and more violent, and soon, the entire room that the two of them were sitting in was shaking. The roar of the earthquake ripped through the school, and Leo pulled away from his girlfriend, the woman he had been holding tightly, screaming at her over the noise to stay there.
He had to go and push the panic button. Leo stumbled over the broken shards of his apartment, falling around as the room still shook; trying to make his way over to the other side of the room to the panic button by the phone. After stumbling over everything that had fallen into his path, Leo fell into the wall, his hand smacking into the wall against the button.
The wailing of a siren filled the air, almost being heard over the thunderous earthquake, warning everyone to get under cover as soon as possible.
