However, breakfast came first. He plodded into his kitchen, still in his pyjamas, poured milk and cereal into a bowl, and slumped down at his dining room table to eat it. He didn't bother cooking anything, as his cooking was notoriously awful enough to make someone feel sick even in a virtual world. He could make simple things like toast, but if he attempted to cook anything more complex he'd probably burn his house down.
As he munched away on his cereal he wondered what he'd do with the day. The tournament was being held in less than a month, and while it was an abhorrent orgy of violence and murder Silver Lyre could use its high profile to their advantage. If they could somehow throw a spanner in the works, it would no doubt invoke the ire of the game masters, and perhaps they could be tricked into exposing themselves. However, the more pressing concern was the duo that had recently made a name for itself in tag battles. Raijin was unsure of whether or not they were the game masters, but they were worth looking into. However, he doubted that the game masters would parade themselves in the public eye, but that was merely a simple doubt; what if the game masters wanted him to think that? He was over-thinking this; he just needed to get in done with and out of the way. He already had a plan for investigating them, and it might not even require the whole guild to execute. Nevertheless, he opened up his guild chat window and sent out a message that read: "Everyone meet in the guild @home. I have a plan for looking into the tag team I told you all about."
Once Raijin was dressed and armed he made his way towards the train station. Unfortunately, there was only a single train to Breg Epona every couple of hours, so if he missed the train he'd be very late, and as the guildmaster he had to set a good example. He used the game menu to check the time, and suddenly realised that he only had ten minutes to get to the station and on the train. Panicking slightly, he broke into a sprint and hurtled towards the station, giving a quick nod to anyone who greeted him as he ran.
Raijin managed to hurl himself onto the train just before the doors closed, and let out a sigh of relief. He found a seat by a window, slumped down in it, and waited for the train to reach its destination.
