James looked and followed the three close behind until he saw the black flares. "Damn it! If we had Jaeger with us we would have a good chance.." James muttered to himself. He looked behind him and saw another group coming for them. "You gotta be kidding me! Levi, don't you have one of those shells that emits noises on you?" The stare given to him had all but confirmed that the answer to his questions were ultimately, no.
"Well, if only we could chop those trees maybe we can slow 'em down until we can get to the cache and then move in for a counter attack." James suggested trying his hardest not to sound like he was itching to fight them and letting the others head for the cache, leaving him space and privacy to change and engage the Titans on their level.
