The two stepped onto the bridge, the Ambassador making his way over to Captain Zekr. the two had just arrived on the ship not long ago via shuttle, coming aboard over from the U.S.S. Surak, which would be independently overseeing their mission, and waiting for them to send word back of a successful test, once they were in the Delta Quadrant.
"Glad we could get this assignment together, Zekr." Kujarm greeted, smiling kindly at the Captain as they shook hands. "I'm more than happy to have one of my most trusted friends alongside me as the Federation makes history."
Establishing actual, diplomatic ties to the Delta Quadrant would be a ground-breaking moment in the Federation Diplomatic Corps, and in Federation history in general, alongside the equally ground-breaking significance of the successful testing of the Slip-Stream Drive. Starfleet couldn't have chosen two better men to lead both history-making moments, in Kujarm's own humble opinion.
