Half a second later, the Slip-Stream Drive was activated, and the ship surged forward. A bright blue tunnel enclosed around the ship, and after a slight rumble across the deck, the Nobunaga flew down the corridor created by the drive, going faster than any current Warp technology could ever take a starship.
Most of the crew on the bridge broke out into cheers at the successful launch, quite pleased to see things going so smoothly.
"Looks like she's working great, Zekr." Kujarm noted, giving the Bajoran a charming smile. "Your engineers did a great job with this one. Slip-Stream Drive...never thought I'd see something like this, in all my lives."
