Narcia shook her head at Shiro's ridiculous proposition. Being pregnant? There was no way that would ever happen, not to herself or Shiro. It was insane to even entertain the thought. "You're mine. I'm not letting a man's sperm into your body, Shi. Only I'm allowed to touch you." She said, her possessiveness coming out, but then the ice queen blushed slightly and avoided Nani's piercing gaze. She wasn't acting how a Queen should at all. It was hard to keep her ice up around Shiro, Shiro was just way too radiant and warm for her ice to survive that puppy-like smile. No, ruling by birth would be abolished once Nee could think of a different system, a more reliable system of governance. Blood alone didn't guarantee the ability to rule, after all. Just because she wanted to be a good ruler didn't mean her child was going to do the job well. Rulership should be based on ability, rather than blood.

Two rulers in love rather than a ruse. That definitely struck a chord. There was no love in Azel and Narina's affair, after all. Narina only married him because he was, at the time, the highest ranking military official and a son of a prestigious noble house. Marrying him was a good political move, since it tied the Knights closer and closer to the political side of Ashia in the first place, rather than just a self defense and police force. Conversely, Azel was in love with his childhood friend and servant, Galizur, but since same sex marriage was banned, the couldn't have their love recognized. Azel was chosen to marry Narina, and in exchange Galizur was lifted from servitude and Narina turned a blind eye to the two men's love.

Once Nani left to return to her school, Nee and Cress had their talk, with Shiro taking them back to the palace, one step at a time. Cress's speech was powerful, and there was weight behind her words. "She caused a mess and now we're the only ones left to clean it up." Nee muttered, her voice coming through like a low pained hiss. With the Eastern Continent now under Ashia's banner, there was a lot of work to do, and a lot of disparate people who would need help and guidance. Still, Nee didn't know why she wasn't at the very least relieved that her mother was dead. No, she wasn't happy at all that her mother was gone, even though logically, she knew her mother was scum.

Cress said that she couldn't come home yet, said that there was a lot more work to do, and many bereaved people that she had to help. It made sense, though Nee sorely missed her sister. This entire war was senseless, and now most of the royals were gone as well. "Do your best." Nee said, knowing she wasn't going to be much help in that regard. What was said next was like a lightning bolt to the chest, though. Kora. Was she going to have to tell the truth? Nee wanted to avoid this for as long as she could... but Kora's signs weren't improving, and she could very well die for real. "Sister. Call Itward, he'll tell you what you need to know about transferring Kora to Gehenna" Narcia's voice quivered and she added in a hushed whisper so Shiro wouldn't hear. "Please don't hate me." With that she ended the call.

What was going to happen next? There were a lot of variables, that's for sure. Too many unknowns to really say for sure, but an educated guess wouldn't hurt. "A lot of chaos." Narcia explained, her voice cold and chilly, not that she intended it. "Other than us, all the royals are gone. Now, instead of caring for Ashians, we also have to worry about Frelians, Etrurians, Tartarians, Coriandrumians. All of which have their own culture, their own laws, their own customs, and it's our job to put it all together into one cohesive nation." Narcia grit her teeth. "And that's just the tip of the iceberg."

After Princess Nui's speech, Thyella returned to Jezebeth's lair. There was something left here that didn't deserve to be forgotten. She wouldn't allow for that, it was too sad like that. Allowing Orthrus to tend to Princess Una for the time being, Thyella went to Jezebeth's hideout, scouring until she found what she was looking for. The executed corpse of the young Prince Kail. Thyella held the too-small body in her arms, carrying him out. He looked to be asleep, peaceful. Poison was used, a merciful death at least. "I'll send you to be buried with your sister, in your homeland." The maid whispered, making the arrangements for the transfer. "Siblings should be together."

Once that was done, Thyella's holo received a call from Orthrus, her fellow servant under Una. His voice was lacking his usual snark, and that always set Thyella on alarm mode, her hands tightened on the knives hidden in her sleeves. Princess Una vanished, according to Orthrus. "She went back to sleep. She disconnected from the holo disc." The butler didn't sound pleased at all, but it made sense. "Una lost too much." The maid muttered as she exited the lair, Etrurian Prince in hand. "Her whole family, gone, and even Riana, her surrogate mother. Let her sleep."

So after sending Kail off to be with Cumin, Thyella and Orthrus regrouped with Princess Nui, who was hard at work making a memorial garden with her knight's procession. The maid and butler both went to their knees in front of their new Princess, not as Tartarian servants, but as Ashians. There were things that needed to be discussed, after all. "Princess Nui." Orthrus said, and they both honored the fiery princess. "As you know, Princess - I apologize - Una Malachite's real body is being sent to Ashia Palace." Orthrus explained. It hurt, Una was no longer a princess, just another girl now.

"Una's in a lot of pain." Orthrus continued, because Thyella couldn't bring herself to speak. "Emotionally. We failed as her servants, so both Thyella and I have decided to give jurisdiction of her life to you, Princess Nui." Thyella added her own words then. "...You can keep trying to cure her, or you can let her go to sleep and go to the rest of her family. The choice is yours." Another topic to discuss, and perhaps of less importance, was brought up to the table. "Now that we no longer have a master, us servants are also purposeless." Thyella shrugged helplessly. "Where do we go now?" She asked, sounding more like a lost child than anything else. Where did they belong now? Was there a place for them in this world?
