|| Dearly Beloved || Utada Hikaru ||
Jace shook her head, "I won't tell anyone." Lita looked like a scared child, clinging to Jace's hand, begging her not to tell. "Of course I won't," Jace's shoulders sagged and Lita sighed with relief. "Thank you Jace," the gray haired android shook her head. Lita was relieved, she wasn't sure what Doctor Grover would do if she found out that Lita had a little voice in her head sometimes, speaking to her. "I won't tell a soul, android or not." Lita smiled in response, "I knew I could trust you." Jace grabbed her, pulling her close. "I don't know what I would do if I lost you." Lita giggled, "Jace, you're acting strange." Something beeped, Jace looked down with a frown, she had just gotten a message from Black Jack.
"The train station?" Lita asked, having received the same query. "It says that Fina's there, so he wants me to help with Minnie watch." Jace rolled her eyes, "I have no obligation to them," Lita rocked back and forth on her heels. "But... we can still go say hello?" Lita suggested, it had been a few days since she had heard from Minnie Reiss, she hoped that the child was alright. Her combat unit sighed, seeing right through her. "I suppose, come on, let me just get a pudding cup." The two of them headed to the elevator, they could walk from here to Minnie Reiss's home, it was just a hop, skip and a jump away after all. "I wonder where Fina went, it's not like her to just up and disappear?" She was a stealth unit though, that was her job description.
It must be Io, she had a bad habit of leaving when someone needed her most. Lita nodded, but didn't respond because she didn't want Jace to freak out at her talking to no one. The fall air was nice on her cooling systems, she felt refreshed. "I haven't left that building in days!" Lita smiled as she skipped along, happy as a duck in a pond. "Don't draw too much attention to yourself, the last thing we need is you getting kidnapped." The gray haired android said, poking Lita in the forehead. The pink haired android circled her arms, nearly falling over from the force of it. Jace caught her, steadying Lita and the two continued on their way. "I always forget how fragile you are," her eyes glinted, catching the light as the wind rustled between them. "Well, you know how it goes. Light weight means more speed," that was certainly true.
"Oh look, the train!" Lita pointed to the hovertrain that zoomed across the sky on air tracks, another wind rustling up her skirt. A face in the window caught her attention, his features chiseled, it was just a glimpse, but Lita couldn't help but find him familiar. Metis. Callisto recognized him instantly, why is he back? He should be serving in the military.
