"Thank you for your honesty. Besides you couldn't handle another one," she said as she smiled at him and left two kisses lingering on his cheeks. As she seemed to be doing a lot lately, Trinity left Theo stunned in place for a moment or two. He was not exactly sure what to think. Clearly, they had just had a moment, but what information could he actually get from that moment. For all of his supernatural sensibilities, he had always wished he could read minds on top of it all. Theo felt that now more than ever.
Trinity guided him to the side, snapping him back to reality, and clearing her way to shoot at the target once again. She took her breath, set her form, and sent an arrow slicing through the air straight to the bullseye. Theo smiled as he could see the smug look take over her face. She turned to him, and he quickly put his hands on his hips, trying not to give too approving of a look. "Wow, so she really does listen..." Theo let his voice drip with sarcasm and false surprise before trying to speak through a slight chuckle, "I'm mildly impressed."
Theo was shocked with how fast the mood had gone from serious to playful, even further reinforced as they continued to mess with one another. Trinity set down her bow, speaking in a half flirting, half kidding manner, “You know, I have to give credit to Alex, you are pretty firm. Such nice guns, Theo." Trinity stepped back, allowing Theo to step in and pick up the bow and a sling a quiver over his shoulder. "Floor's yours."
Theo took his eye off Trinity focusing on the target silently. He loaded one arrow and let it fly... bullseye. He quickly loaded another... release. Theo cracked a confident smile as the second arrow split the first arrow right down the middle. He was definitely showing off now. He wanted to be as impressive as possible. "You really wanna see me show off?" Theo glanced at Trinity over his shoulder as he strode over to pull a lever nearby, "Watch this." He pulled the lever, and stepping back into position, he took a deep breath as he awaited what came next. All at once, three targets launched into the air, one in front of him, one to the right, one to the left. He quickly plucked them out of the air, piercing each down the middle with an arrow. The machine launched two on the right, and two more on the left. Theo took all four targets out of the sky just as quickly as they had appeared. Finally, as the machine launched its final target right in front of him, Theo turned his head to Trinity, winking at her as he sent his last arrow spiraling toward the red circle in the middle of the target. He tilted his head at her as he heard the unmistakable sound of a target being hit in the center and dropping to the ground.
Theo held the bow out to Trinity, raising an eyebrow her way, "You do half as good as that, and I'll go full wolf for you."
