|| Fight Song|| Rachel Platten ||
Alice shook her head, Ophie did not look like a clown, or at least, she did not believe so. Zinnia was crying, Blithe was too, Alice did not understand why, but then again, she hardly understood anything. She was dumn, she knew, her head was empty. She watched everyone around her, wondering what she was missing. She was starting to understand more, of course, but she was still slow to figure things out. Ophie brought her over to Echo, who was stirring, waking up once more. "I remember you," Echo replied, rubbing her eyes, trying to get the sleep out of them. "I remember you lurking behind Celeste a lot..." Echo trailed off, looking up at the ceiling. "How is she? Probably not good. She was never... stable up here," Echo tapped her forehead. Alice mimicked the motion, wondering what it could mean.
"My head's fine," Echo grumbled. "After she... nevermind. The Doctor that Baron Pierce hired said everything looked alright up there, he wasn't immediately worried." Echo yawned, she didn't want to go back to sleep so quickly, but it was hard to fight the fatigue. Zinnia looked between them, "I would need to know the problem before I could help," she offered. "But if Messiah finds out who it's for, he might demand me to take him to you. In which case, you would need a plan of escape and a way to make certain no blame falls on Baron PIerce's shoulders." After all, Baron Pierce was kind, she wouldn't want him to get in trouble for hosting them. Zinnia turned towards Sonata as Alice ran over, waving her sticker sheet. Echo had been decorated in scratch and sniff stickers.
"Here you go," Zinnia waved her hand over the sheet, summoning more stickers. Alice went immediately to Blithe, "No!" Blithe yelped, jumping out of the way. "Those things will cling right to my fur!" Alice looked at her, wondering what she meant. She placed the sticker on Blithe's pants, looking up at her. "Alice just wants to share," Sonata said apologetically, pulling her away. Alice placed a sticker on Sonata's cheek. She had just been saying how silly Ophie looked with the stickers on her face. She drew Alice onto her lap, the little human squirming until Sonata released her and she was free to run back towards Echo, who was staring out the window while Blithe tried to feed her and Zinnia attempted to evaluate her.
They were all so busy, Alice thought. They weren't paying attention to her, this was her chance. She placed Dog and her stickers down carefully, running to the bookshelf. No one was watching her, she clambered to reach the first shelf, from there it was easy to get to the top. The bookshelf did not so much as sway, not a book fell from place. Alice happily sat herself down on top, swinging her legs as she watched everyone.
