Talideth raised an eyebrow at Seru's plead for help, unsure as to why she was looking at them specifically. Horik and Clorik happened to be walking by with some materials when a very firm hand grabbed Horik by the collar. Clorik paused as Horik was lifted and then placed beside Seru and in front of a crying Ash. Horik gave a panicked look to Clorik but the clone was already going into the same direction she had come from.

She adjusted her goggles and sighed internally. Dropping the pile of valuables, Horik placed a hand on the Captain's shoulder.

"There, there, Ash. Just let it all out. It's clear you've been holding this in for quite a while," Horik said softly. "There ain't much rhyme or reason to the worlds out here and there ain't no answer any of us could give you that would give you peace. That there peace comes within and you've been carrying this burden, clinging to it, quite some time."

Horik paused, memories tugging at her, but she pressed on, "Let that pot overflow cuz this world don't give you much time to rest. It's a callous thing, I know, but ain't no way of bringing the dead back. All we can do is make sure.. make sure, uh."

She mulled the words over and weakly finished, "Make sure there ain't more families torn apart."
