"I WAS," she said with a little shiver in her voice.
She rose from the waters, the cool air prickling her skin and droplets following her curves as they trailed down her body. Justice flipped back her hair, the blue straightened and untangled in that one swift movement. She tilted her head and gave an ear a good pat, trying to encourage the last bits of water out.
As Kinera sunk and spluttered, Justice stood as proud as a lion but as bare as a Sphynx. "It's not her fault, it's HER fault." Her eyes rolled in the direction of the growing pipsqueak. "We came here to relax. RELAX. Could you NOT choose a more opportune time to be a FREAK?" She yelled then pulled the skin under her eyes down. "Everyone's testing me." She piped, releasing her face to snap back into shape.
"Are you okay, Ishara?" Justice tossed back the question, poking the girl's scratched-up cheek. "You have a pale complexion like me..." Her hand fell to rest in the crook of her hip. "Don't ruin it. You know how many people wish they looked like me?" A grin spread across her face as she pointed at herself.
Motioning Ishara to come closer, she whispered in her ear. "My neighbor Elise spent a fortune and it didn't come c l o s e! Think she did it for a boy... Just saaad." Justice giggled and continued to giggle as she reeled back. That story always got her good but her parents said she shouldn't tell.
Justice almost forgot about the frog but she couldn't... Where one princess was, the other princess would follow closely behind. Annoyingly inseparable. "Oh, yeah, what's her problem?" Justice jabbed a thumb where the croaks sounded from.
His head popped through the leaves and twigs to find Princess Reese, as she'd like to be called, and Nut hanging out her pocket.
"Nut." He called out but as quiet as a mouse. "The princesses might catch a cold. I could really use your help." He explained, her magic more apt for the water. Tovenaar carved out a decent archway in the bush with his arm for her to fly through.
