The Emporium

      Title: The Emporium
      Genre: Original Fantasy
Inspired by: The Doctor's TARDIS, Howl's Moving Castle, xxxHolic, Syfy's House of Imagination commercial series and Mushishi
      Plot:
People who come to the Emporium are always looking for something.

It can be anything; a friend, an object, a memory, or even a place to stay for the night. Often, they don't even know they're looking; it's just a feeling in the back of their head that moves their feet without knowing it. The Emporium exists everywhere; every reality, every town. It doesn't always look the same, and you don't always notice it, but if you're lost and looking for something, chances are you'll wind up there. It can appear to be a bar, a restaurant, a cafe, a store... it can change at random. Sometimes it'll take the place of your favorite place, and when you go there the next day, it'll be gone, off in some other corner of a city or town. But it never stays hidden for long; eventually, someone will walk through its doors.

The first thing you notice about the Emporium is that it's bigger on the inside. It always has been, since the beginning of time when it first appeared out of the black. The next thing you notice is how odd it is inside, even for someone who isn't human. The things most people can't see become visible in the Emporium as worlds come together inside of its rooms and halls and storage areas. It is not a rare thing to see someone pass through a wall with ease, or for strange creatures that usually hover on the border of perception to come to full view. But with more time, and more awareness of your surroundings, you come to realize that there's something much more interesting about the Emporium than those who live and work in it.

        The Emporium is alive.

The Emporium, strangely enough, is a living creature (of some sort). No one knows exactly what it is, nor what it's goal is, but the Emporium is sentient. Rooms and corridors will appear and disappear as needed, and if you're trying to get somewhere inside the infinite halls, you find that it's extremely hard to get lost. The Emporium can see what a person needs and wants, whether they're vocalized requests or secrets kept locked away in the bottom your heart. Sometimes, memories long forgotten will suddenly be relived, or a lost loved one will happen across your path for a few fleeting moments.

Many come to the Emporium seeking something. Gods, demons, beings from other worlds all wander in and leave just as mysteriously, sometimes through the front door, sometimes through doors to other worlds. Travelers through the maze of realities often use the Emporium as a shortcut; an easy way to get to and from places. And others don't even know the Emporium exists, but nonetheless finds themselves at its doorstep.

So please, do come in. Whether you're just looking for a place to sit and some tea to drink while the rain lets up, or whether you're a god trying to find another world, the Emporium can help.
      OOC Info:
The Emporium is an open-ended RP that accepts any race of character, so don't hesitate to get creative with your characters!

This is super interesting and exactly like an RP I tried to do once but ended up dying. I'm pretty interested and going to be keeping my eye on this.

Eh,.. was said RP on Gaia Online?

Because if so, then you were a part of the original attempt at this RP, which I originally made for Gaia Online (tis me, The Mad Revolution~!). And it died, which was sad. o no SO NOW IT'S ON HERE. *stereotypical French laugh*

"Incessant wind sweeps the plain. It murmurs on across grey stone, carrying dust from far climes to nibble eternally at the memorial pillars. There are a few shadows out there still but they are the weak and the timid and the hopelessly lost.

It is immortality of a sort.

Memory is immortality of a sort.

In the night, when the wind dies and silence rules the place of glittering stone, I remember. And they all live again."

This looks like fun. I have an idea for a character, but I need to do a little research for that and think about it some more. If it works out I shall submit it soon!
