The Golden Lights

Sparrow Dearest, take my hand
Bring me to the forgotten lands.
Where flowers bloom without the light,
and fields of green sparkle in the wind.
A place with copper older than your bones,
and marble columns standing high.
There the scent of lavenders drapes you,
and blissful silence fills your ears.

Where you will linger for an eternity or more,
and there only peace and bliss will greet you.
A place that quietly calls to it all life,
and strokes the sky to sleep.
There the great things may come to rest
and even the spring never ends.

Where the red sun shines through window panes,
and your memories can be kept in jars.
A place where the word anger doesn't exist,
and time does whatever you want it to do.
There your sorrows will fade away to black,
and teeth like white jewels will smile at you.

Sparrow dearest take my hand
and lead me to this place
where greetings don't sound,
and the breeze is as soft as silk.
A place where blue is a taste,
and running and walking are exactly the same.
This place is neither heaven, and nor is it hell,
But something in between.

I urge you, Sparrow,
to take hold of my hand,
and lead me to the no-named lands.
Somewhere that water glistens like glass,
and where we can dance with fire and win.
Where even the rain isn't gloom-filled,
and no matter how hard you look you won't find the strings.

Oh Sparrow dearest, please guide my hand.
Take me to Spring.
