A group of scientists in Japan have discovered a chemical that can bring a people back to life. The first human test of this chemical was successful, bringing a man who had been dead for 3 hours back to life. Unfortunately this chemical used bodily fluids as a fuel, after mere seconds of new life, the man gained an uncontrollable lust to replace their blood, and upon biting and tearing at his first victims flesh, the chemical spread from his saliva, into his blood. And because of Japans dense population, the whole of Japan was infected within a week

Your job, as a marine is to invade the shores of Japan and establish a small base, in which we may safely deliver more troops and even some machinery, while at the same time killing as many infected as possible and searching for survivors.

So, I was sick of seeing all these zombie role plays that had survivors who magically knew how to use a gun and all that stuff, so I decided to make a slightly more realistic one. All the basic rules apply, save swearing, so this is a M 15+ RP so if this isn’t your kind of thread, you have been warned.
And I will get my character up when I get the time, I’m a little busy at the moment.

NAME: Corporal Adrian Cormack
AGE: 29
GENDER: Male
APPEARANCE: (NO PICS) 5'10", a slender build, wears a full dark urban camouflage uniform, along with reinforced kevlar vest. Wears several harnesses, laden with numerous explosives and hand grenades. His belt and pants are covered with several, small packs.
HAIR: Very short, light brown hair and an unshaved face.
EYES: Green eyes.
PERSONALITY: Adrian is a simple-minded, Arkansas country boy, not showing much aptitude or intelligence but still enthusiastic and skilled when working with a team. Adrian has Nosocomephobia (a fear of Hospitals).
WEAPONS: A 12 gauge pump action shotgun with top-folding stock, a bailsong knife, an arsenal of frag grenades, several M112 Demolition charges + detonators, a small cache of incendiary grenades. Also carries around gunpowder and miscellaneous compounds.
BIO: Adrian grew up in Camden, rural Arkansas, where he struggled to get through school, only showing much knowledge in Science based classes. His unexpected and unparalleled expertise in science earned him a scholarship at the University of Colorado where he majored in Chemistry and Physics. He joined the military upon leaving college as an easy means to earn money. His first combat experience was in Iraq where he earned the Bronze Star Medal for successfully assaulting an enemy communications base. He had no idea that his second combat experience would be located in zombie-riddled Japan.

AGE: 33
GENDER: Male
APPEARENCE: (NO PICS) 5'9", Jared has a strong muscular build that stayed with him from boot camp, Jared works out every day, staying in top physical condition. He wears the standard USMC uniform except for the helmet, which he replaced with a black, San Francisco Giants baseball cap. Jared's dog tag is underneath all his protection and he never takes it off.
HAIR: Short, rough, dark brown hair and stubble
EYES: Hazel eyes
PERSONALITY: Extremely loyal, confident, "take on anything" kind of attitude.
WEAPONS: M4A1 with a Rail Interface System, flip up rear sight of the Comp M2 red dot reflex sight, forward handgrip, flashlight attached to muzzle and four spare 5.54mm clips. A Dan Wesson Commander pistol with two spare clips and a combat knife in his right boot. Jared also had 3 frag grenades located about his person for explosive purposes.
BIO: Born in Los Angeles California, Jared was exposed to baseball at an early age, and because of that is now addicted to the game and everything to do with it and is always (even from a young age) seen always wearing a San Francisco Giants hat. His parents were both in the United States military and so always inspired loyalty in him. His parents encouraged him to join and were delighted when he signed up. Watching his progress eagerly as he climbed the ranks, his parents are awaiting breathlessly for the outcome of his latest mission. Going to Japan.

NAME: Gunnery Sergeant Theodore "Theo" Chase
AGE: 29
GENDER: Male
APPEARENCE: (NO PICS) From a young age it was obvious Theo wasn’t going to win the world championship boxing tournament anytime soon, but that was just fine with his parents. He stands at just over 5’7” not being the tallest around, but not the shortest either. He wears the standard military uniform, plus a pair of night vision goggles he has added upgrades to for a longer line of sight, and clearer picture.
HAIR: Short blonde hair cut in a military fashion.
EYES: Blue Eyes
PERSONALITY: Theo gets along well with others, always cracking jokes and making a fool of himself for others entertainment. What most people don’t realize though is that he does this more to help himself than others. Making jokes about violence and harsh situations protects him from the realistic, much drearier present.
WEAPONS: A black HK33A2 with an ACOG optical sight and 3 spare 5.56mm clips. He also carries a Colt Double Eagle pistol on his hip and 2 spare clips, but has no knife (preferring to leave the others to close quarters fighting).
BIO: Theo was born in St Petersburg, Florida and from a young age, loved computers. He used to take them apart just so he could figure out how to put them all back together again. When Theo was old enough he went to the Florida International University in Miami, to further study computers and their inner workings. Graduating with honours, Theo quickly found a job as a technician on low pay. But this was not for him, it was too boring. And so, hearing from a friend about the USMC, he joined up, quickly becoming recognised for his skills. He was chosen for this mission just for that, and he can’t wait to prove himself alongside the other soldiers.

AGE: 36
GENDER: Male
APPEARENCE: standing at about 6 foot, Dave is a tough man, his face hard with the wars of his past, he wears standard marine armour and his shaven face has a small mark on his cheek from wear a bullet just slid on his face and off.
HAIR: very short black hair
EYES: hazel
PERSONALITY: a natural born leader, feels in charge of everything and always likes to know who his commanding,
WEAPONS: L85A1 bull pup rifle, desert eagle,
BIO: Born in Danville Illinois, Dave has always been active and serious person, joining the military as soon as he left year 10, participating in the gulf war just 2 years later at 18 years old, and the Iraq war in 2003 at the age of 30, between then he was done many smaller missions for the military, as well as vigorous training exercises and became the perfect troop to lead this operation. And although he is now 36, he is no less skilled then he has ever been.
NAME: Corporal Fred “Krueger” Myles
AGE: 26
GENDER: Male
APPEARENCE: Fred appears as a very menacing figure, standing at 6 foot 5, his tan skin contains many “bumps and bruises” from past events, a lack of sleep has put red marks around his eyes that really pulls out the insane look in his eyes.
HAIR: unkept but still short brown hair, he does have facial hair as he rarely shaves
EYES: bright blue like a “pretty little butterfly”
PERSONALITY: Fred hasn’t always been the psycho all or nothing person that he is now, but he had seen things in the wars that broke him inside, he denied claims anything was wrong with him, and refused any help, everyone else had seen what he had seen. But rarely did it break someone like it broke him.
WEAPONS: modified M2A1-7 (flamethrower), Smith & Wesson 4046 Pistol, Remington 870
BIO: Fred grew up in Camden Arkansas and was never the violent one, but he did have a peculiar fascination for weapons, not so much firing them, or names, or what they do, but what they looked like as you took them apart and put them back together, it was this fascination that bought him into the world of war, of corse after certain events that he experienced in the Iraq war, he has become quiet, and has become almost a completely different person.

NAME: Dr. Danika zu Heltzer
AGE: 25
GENDER: Female
APPEARENCE: Her height is standard at 5'9", she has a very toned yet agile body from training as a Field Doctor at the U.S. Marine Corps, she constantly wears a white lab coat and glasses, but not even a lab coat and glasses can control the devious visage burning in the young doctors eyes.
HAIR: Dr. Heltzer has a wild yet beautiful purple fringe and medium length purple hair, she wears a black ribbon around her forhead and it neatly tied into a cross bow on the left side of her hair, she looks stunning yet there is an ominous tone on how she presents herself.
EYES: Danika has red eyes, she was born in a disease called Heterochromatesia which affects the eye colour in ones eyes, she has a sinister shade of black on the outside of her eyes.
PERSONALITY: Dr. Heltzer has a serious but yet funny personality, she tends to be abrupt and a bit cynical in serious moments but she can be cunning and stubborn which lead to her nickname " Iron Vixen ". Her friends would describe the Doctor as a very cunning yet strong young lady.
WEAPONS: Dr. Danika was brought up in a facility of U.S. Marine Corps, she learnt how to masterfully wield combat knives and she also carries around vials of poisons and neurotoxins that she used to kill her enemies, the Dr. is very agile and is able to move fast and has excellent co-ordination.
BIO: Danika grew up in central Germany and she studied Medicine, she was a prodigy as it; she graduated Medical school at the age of 23 with high masters and a degree in bio chemistry. She decided to join the U.S. Marine Corps as a Field Medic, from there she was trained in a variation of new medical skills and how to wield combat knives and hand to hand combat; she was also taught how to use chemicals and diseases to kill the enemy efficiently.

Alright cool, when will this be going up? Oh and it's glad to see that someone wants to be a medic, now we'll be able to actually get treated, instead of dying from an accidental shot in the foot (Ie. from blood loss).

ok, Garbo, your character sheet is well done, but I must say that where you say you use diseases to kill the enemy efficiently, it should be changed, as biochemical warfare is forbidden in the U.S military, so to use it to kill the ememy (keeping in mind there has been no previous zombie infection thing) I find unrealistic, and I'm not sure about regular chemical warfare, so you can keep that if you want, just get rid of diseases, and it will be accepted.

NAME: Warrant Officer Helena Ashford
AGE: 29
GENDER: Female (because I haven't yet played a female, and there are fewer female characters than male in this particular RP)
APPEARANCE: Helena is about average height, standing at 5' 7". She has Shoulder length dark brown hair that is fairly straight, but with a little body to it. She has a lighter skin tone though not quite pale. She has "junk in her trunk" I think is how you say it, being she is in no way scrawny and bony. She is quite fond of the older ideals of beauty, where women were "allowed" to have a little bit of fat on them, as opposed to having their skeletal structure all too visible under their skin. This of course does not mean she's really big either, since she is a marine and this in shape. Needless to say, she has some nice features.
EYES: Green
PERSONALITY: Helena is a marine and therefor does what she has to when she has to do it, the best that she can possibly do it. Though there is of course the other part of her that existed before the military and still survives beneath the surface. Helena enjoys herself whenever possible and can be very playful and is fond of as well as partakes to lewd remarks and gestures.
WEAPONS: Automatic rifle, shotgun, sidearm, knife, grenades.
BIO: The military was not her first choice. Far from it. The truth was, Helena had no idea what the hell she wanted to do with her life. She kind of just took things as they came and did her best to progress. This did not last long and she finally decided that the military would be good for her, since everything was taken care of for you and you just had to follow orders when necessary. And hell, she would be part of an organization that made a difference. Helena liked this and decided she'd do what she could to make something of herself. And so, she decided to go all out and picked to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. And so far, she's been damned good at what she's had to do. Though she was made efforts to and easily avoided being a hard ass all of the time. She reserved such a persona only for instances where it was really necessary.

GENDER: Male
APPEARANCE: Joshua stands at about 6'2" with dark brown hair. It is about half an inch long and is squared in the back to look professional. Joshua usually wears jeans with a button up tee shirt with a suit jacket. Some times though, he just goes out in jeans and a short sleeved shirt. Usually the short sleeved shirt says something witty like "Hello, my name is STUD" or "$o broke, I can't even afford to pay attention."
HAIR: Dark brown, short, kept clean.
EYES: Brown and piercing
PERSONALITY: Josh is the strong silent type who can take command when need be. He is a no bullshit kind of guy with a good attitude about life and everything. He generally gets along with everyone unless you give him a reason not to.
WEAPONS: A deer hunting knife with a bear etched into the side, given to him by his dad. Approximately six inches.
A .22 revolver he stole from his grandpa. Has six shots in it only and reloads really slow. Has three reloads with him. Takes .22 rounds.

An M16A2 slung on his back. It has two, full thirty round magazines. Takes 5.56mm rounds.
M1911A1 with three magazines. Takes .45 rounds.
BIO: Joshua was raised in an urban environment. His mother was 15 when he was born. His father was convicted of murder 2 years after he was born. This left Josh to be the man of the house. Soon after, his mother met another man who taught Joshua about weapons and right and wrong. Josh joined the Army at 17, then moved to the Marine Corp at 18 when he was able to. He was exceptional at his stealth and maneuverability testing and was made into a Spec Ops agent and this was his first mission... Unfortunately, he was dished out all the leftover gear. He was a master of improvisation however and said he could work with it.

not accepted for age, your not allowed to join the army before your 18 in real life, and you wouldn't be sent on a mission this big if you were only 1 year into the army. And your post, we don't know its a zombie infection, we have been sent on an emergency mission without an official briefing if you read my post. Revise your character sheet to match realism and wait for it to be accepted or declined before you post in the IC.

Hey, I'm just wondering. I think we're going the route that none of the characters know each other. That is all well and good, really. But I'm just wondering if maybe someone else or even a couple people would like to have a history of any kind with mine? Might make things even more interesting.

And for everyone else, if you want to maybe make some kind of bonds or something with others? Just trying to help out and make things fun.

Also, just something I though about. I think that we should try and keep this as real as we can, and since it's not hard to do we should do it. I'm talking about that in the field, if you're going to use another player's name, use their surname, since that's how it is done in the Military. Also, we'll have to do some kind of quick introductions or something so that everyone's character knows the other ones.

Also, Gaz, I'd say wait till you have more to post if two lines is all you got. Let's try for at least a couple paragraphs.

That profile sheet is completely based on me as a person. I am PVT Joshua Harp in the US Army. I joined at 17 on October 21st, 2008 and turned 18 September 9th, 2009. There is a program you can do to join. I edited my life a tiny bit to accommodate the fact that I have to be a Marine in the RP. Other than that, he is completely based on me, all down to the .22 and the blade. I would just like to point this out, but if you really feel so strongly about it, I can change it. I am just looking for a good zombie RP where I can play as myself in it.

Also, I made my post more user friendly. I have a habit of getting distracted easily and then miss things in the descriptions.

BIO : He was part of the 75th Ranger Regiment before being chosen for Delta Force. His first mission was in Iraq, before him and his team were called to Japan to deal with an epidemic that was making people bloodthirsty monsters.

NAME: Lance Corporal Jackson Swagger
AGE: 19
GENDER: Male
APPEARENCE: Very short at around 5'4", tanned from his time in the Alaskan Mountain Training program, along with the Mountain Marines training. Very compact and agile body.
HAIR: dark brown, only a couple shades darker than his skin tone.
EYES: Due to a birth defect, or general gene disorder (Not a biologist, doing my best), his right eye is dark blue while his left eye is light green. Normally keeps right eye closed unless shooting or in combat.
PERSONALITY: Unpredictable and lazy. Is easily offended by his hieght or insult of his eyes.
WEAPONS: M1911 silenced, four reloads. FAL with ACOG and micro shotgun attatchment (I have seen them, i swear), eight shots per clip in shotgun, two reloads, thirty round mags for the FAL, four reloads. Navy Seal combat knife given to him by his grandfather, about seven inches long with a compass in the handle.
BIO: Grew up in one of the harshest environments on Earth: the mountain regions of Alaska. Before he thought of the military, his favorite thing to do was run in the forest, using a special version of Free Running made for not so urban areas. Joined the Marines at eighteen and was immediately recomended for the Mountain Marine program. Obviously, Jackson passed with flying colors, and so was again recomended for the Japan invasion op.

Garizmu, you are not accepted for the following reasons. This is not the first mission kind of mission, your character needs experience, and also make your character description more descript, and I don’t want short 30 word posts, and lucky last, don’t think I didn’t notice you character controlling, I hate that.

Gooey monster, also need more description, until you do, your current IC posts don't count.
