Background/History: Silas Bannister is the father of CKSD operative Teagan Bannister. He was a scientist specializing in the fields of cybernetics, biology, and physiology. For many years he worked freelance though courted by some of the bigger corporations, he still preferred to simply sell his prototypes to the highest bidder. He experimented heavily with his own designs and he frequently had his technicians install his newest innovations into his own body. This was for many reasons. One, he wanted to make sure it worked according to design. Two, he wished to field test it before selling it and three, he knew that his life of freelance work could come to a sudden and abrupt halt. If one of the major corporations got tired of his constant wheeling and dealing then they would most likely put a contract on him and he wanted to be able to handle himself.
His wife, Lilah Svrilen-Bannister, died shortly after his daughter's birth and the loss of the love of his life drove him deeper into his work. He left his newborn in the care of a nanny and began making cybernetic enhancements that skirted/pushed the boundaries of ethics. At the age of 37, his inventions caught up with him; cybernetics overwhelmed his biology and he became a textbook case of cybernetic psychosis. Using interskeletal blades and a submachine gun built in to his left forearm, he managed to massacre many civilians before police finally brought him down. His will left his estate including his laboratory and all of his wealth in a trust for his pre-teen daughter though the government seized most of it for reparations to the victims' families.
