*Please note: When the character signs their soul over, they must have a good reason to. Why did they decide to sell their soul for immortality and live for eternity in the circus? Also keep in mind that the brothers have to see something useful in the person they are ‘hiring’

**P.S: Also, all the characters will appear from the ages of 12-19. No younger, no older. The brothers are the only ones who appear 22-27. I do want a bit of variety in the ages, so don't all chose the generic roleplay ages of 16, 17, 18 and 19. I'd appreciate if a few of you went younger! There are 16 roles with that age restriction and there are 8 ages. So there will be 2 characters with the same age but opposite gender. Once the age is filled by 2 characters, no one else is allowed to be that age! Keep in mind that age 17 has already been used twice!

Oh! Before I forget. In your character History, please add how you came to Cirque du Mystique. Like the year, place (city, country, etc), and around what season. Some characters were admitted into the circus after 1886, 15 years post-tragic fire and 17 years prior to the reopening. Others may have been admitted sometime in the 19th century or 20th century. Remember! I want variety!

Also, in the character sheet, the spot that says "Reason for Selling Soul" I want a better detailed reason, then the short one you gave me when you reserved your character!

Finally, for the Occupation, please put a rough schedule of acts your character will do throughout the week! Sundays are set-up days and Saturdays are pack-up days. So performances will be Mondays-Fridays. And the circus takes a week to get to their next stop. So one week their performing, the next week their traveling to a new location.

Here's another thing I forgot. There are other performers in the circus, not just the ones on the list of Roles. They are all NPCs though. So, for practically everyone, when you do a performance that requires other people, you'll just have to add in other performer NPCs. That way your act will work.

I'd like to reserve a role but its not a listed performer and not exactly in the age range...but I can't shake the idea, I love it. Fc Nelsan Ellis who sold his sole as a runaway slave back in the day for protection/asylum. Instead of a stage performer, he'd operate a little more low key. You know when you go to freak shows and circus' how they almost always have a palm reader\gypsy? Well I'd like him to work like that as a fortune teller/communer with the dead. The voodoo king.

I have added that to the roles list and reserved you're character. However, the highest age I'll go for you will be 20. So to have that work out, it'll be: one 20-year-old (your character) and one 19-year-old. You'll just need to find some young looking photos of your FC. If you're not satisfied, then please pick another FC.

As for you Voodoo King "Act", what we could do is have people coming in to his gypsy tent (which will be located like next to the circus tent) throughout the circus show and he could do like what you said: fortune telling, communication with the dead, palm readings. But also: tarot card reading, crystal ball fortune, and anything else along those lines. It's just so you can have a variety of things to do.

Do you guys think I should lower the amount of roles? Like combine some together. What I'm thinking of will take away 6 roles. That way we only have 10 roles and 5 ages (being 15-19/20).

Hmm.... I think it's definitely a good idea to cut back for the sake of the roleplaying getting a bit too outta control. We still have a good amount of roles open of both genders so I doubt that anyone will really get left out in terms of joining. I really do think that 20 people in a roleplay is a lot though... lol, I don't think I'd be able to keep up with 20. XD I could understand why you'd want to cut back if that is the case.

Looks like bubblecrap, who was our Fire performer, has disappeared on us. Being inactive on the site since Aug, 3rd. So I have opened up his spot....Well, this kind of sucks. Two people have already dropped out and we just barely started...I hate to do this, but if you know any fellow roleplayers who may be interested in joining as one of the 3 male characters we have opened, could you ask them and see if they'd like to be admitted into our Cirque du Mystiqu family?
