((The OOC thread is here: Trapped ((OOC/Signups)) We could use a few humans if you're interested! =3))

Anthros had always been believed to be something made up for stories, games, and movies. For years it was just a story told to children to put them to sleep of a legend from another culture. Until the year 2856 when a strange planet almost exactly like earth was discovered. This planet had trees, plants, water, deserts, and even the same air as Earth. It was inhabitable by humans, even. The only difference was the layout of the land but that was to be expected.

On this 'second Earth', a new race was discovered. A race which was quickly named Anthro. The reason? Each individual was, indeed, like a walking, talking animal. They, too, wore clothes, spoke English, and even had hands. There were cats, dogs, rabbits, and every other earth animal imaginable! They were like humans in that their height varied between each individual but their average height was about the same as humans.

These anthros were welcoming and friendly, not hesitating to greet the humans and show them around. The humans, however, wanted to study this newly discovered race. A science lab was built on the planet and several were taken to be studied in every way possible, from breathing to exercise to eating habits. Every area that could possibly be studied was studied. Several were even taken back to Earth to be studied in Earth's environment.

------------------------------------

Wild blue hair was brushed out of the face of a light blue furred tiger Anthro. Tenka let out a small growl as he observed the white walls. He had been left in a boring, white room along with a few other Anthros. For now, the group was waiting for someone to come and continue studying them. It had become a daily routine for everyone. Wake up, do some morning tests, have breakfast, finish morning tests, have lunch, do more tests until supper, eat supper, do more tests, and go to sleep at nearly midnight. 11:00 if you were lucky.

Tenka wasn't bothered so much by some of the tests unless they insisted he remove the cloth attached to his waist. What bothered him the most about the lab was the way the humans addressed the Anthros. Each Anthro was called by their lab number. Tenka, who's number was thirteen, was always called and addressed as Number Thirteen. That alone nearly drove him insane.

Of course he was classified as 'dangerous'. And for good reasons. Tenka turned to face the wall and counted the nicks in the wall that he had made. Twenty-three, huh? Nice. Now, what haven't I tried yet? Twenty-three escape attempts total. Tenka was famous for coming up with weird plans to escape. He was getting so desperate to be free that he had done several that were dangerous or just plain stupid. Not that he could be blamed for it, of course. If one doesn't like people rubbing your coat of playing with your hair, you're bound to go insane when there's someone constantly doing something with you fur and hair.

Tenka's ears twitched when he heard the sound of a buzzer going off nearby. That sound can mean only one thing... It's six am. Time for morning tests, he mused. Today he was determined to escape and so he decided to go with one of his previous plans which had almost brought him freedom. Crouching on the ground, he waited for the door to open so he could launch himself into the air like a tiger attacking its prey. Hopefully that would make the scientist jump back and give him a chance at freedom.
FRIENDS: Will look at you like you're crazy when you tell them you're an alien from outerspace.
BEST FRIENDS: Will break you out of the loony bin and drive you to New Mexico to meet up with the mothership.

There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved through a suitable application of high explosives.

Viz watched the other Anthros quietly, somewhat used to the strangeness of the lab already. When he was first taken to this strange world of white walls, with Humans milling around in white coats that held an extraodinary amount of strange objects, and constant testing, he had been afraid. The first time one of the male doctors had gotten rough with him, he did what all male Komodo Dragons did, he slashed at the man, think that the heavy blow would only hurt the small creature. Instead the attack had crushed the man's sternum and effectively killed him. Then came the stinging electricity. Soon after that they gave him the number six hundred sixteen and moved him into a strange room made of what they called 'steel'. He soon found out that he was another of the 'dangerous' Anthros, and they had only become more wary after the discovery of Streptococcus pyogenes in his gums, a deadly flesh-eating virus. They did many tests on him after that.

He hadn't liked it for the first two weeks, hell, he didn't like it now, but then they gave him books. He liked books. Then he found what he convinced himself to be his only Human 'friend'. While most of the Humans tended to treat him like an object, this one made him feel a bit better. Her name was Terrance, though he usually called her Terra. She was nicer than the other Humans.

Ah, another day of tests. At least I might be getting that book I ordered last year... hopefully. thought the young reptilian as he stared into space. Looking around to find something to analyze, his eyes came to a rest on the crouching Number Thirteen. Another attempt? All the other times he had been caught, though. Maybe if I helped him a bit.. he thought, pondering on the consequences his actions might bring about

((Ooh, calling Terrance 'Terra' might be a problem seeing as I have a character named Terra too. Hehe. In any case, there should be enough differentiation to tell the difference... oh well. My mom's bugging me to get off, so it's a short post for now:))

Number Nineteen was promptly awakened out of her restless sleep by a jarring alarm bell. 6 am. Again. More testing. Again. Ohh, wonderful, Terra groaned to herself. Covered in a short, orange-red coat all over except for hanks of shoulder-length wavy red hair of the same color, the almost-feline yellow-green-eyed anthro rolled over and mentally begged for a break. Not only was she cranky from not enough hours of sleep, but she was in a general bad mood because of the time. Morning testing, ugh. Terra sat up and yawned, her dark-furred muzzle opening to reveal sharp teeth and a long tongue. She stretched, and the darker fur on the bottoms of her fox-pawed legs, shackles jiggling unhappily, showed as well as the dark fur on the tip of her tail, ears, and the part that acted like gloves on her all-too-human hands. Terra was dressed in the original clothes she had come to the planet with: a black, simple full-body leotard that was comfortable and easy to maneuver; she was glad of that, at least, because the scientists dare not take it off. While she could not currently high-kick, she could launch a pretty good slap or shin-kick or punch in the face. She looked across the room from anthro to anthro, most of which could be classified as dangerous in one way or another. So could she, in fact. The high-kicks she usually danced with, before the shackles, of course, were not appreciated among the scientists unless a particular scientist was hoping to lose a couple teeth.

Her gaze turned to Tenka, Number Thirteen, the tiger anthro who was so restless, was looking at his escape counts; twenty-three. Again? Even after the last ridiculous try? That boy is desperate.

Terra stood up, trying to ignore the clinking of shackles that told her for the millionth time that she was captive. Andy would be by later in a horrible white labcoat, she knew.

"Planning yet another feeble escape?" The red fox anthro asked, dancing as wildly as the shackles would let her over by Tenka and his escape count wall. She noticed he was tense; probably trying to escape by force this time.

As the morning buzzer sounded, Nathan pulled the earbuds from his ears and coiled them up neatly, before plugging his player into the charger and leaving it to charge. He never woke up this early back home, he usually woke up in the middle of the day to begin his lessons at the studio, ending usually around early evening, then going out with his buddies until near midnight, returning home to sleep and repeating the process the next day.

Him being a panther and all, he did have claws. He did work out every few days or so, and that classified him, to his peers, as a sort of jock. He did try to escape. Once. He thought that the humans were stronger than he was, and he tried that theory out on one of the guards. Apparently he was wrong. His claws ripped through the human's throat like so much wet rice paper, and the guard died almost instantly. He'd been labeled as 'dangerous' and stuck in a separate cell from the other anthros. Of course, this was a natural assumption. These humans had animals on their homeworld, and, although not like the anthros, the panther was called a 'predator'. From what he gathered, predators hunted and killed other animals for the sole purpose of eating them. Barbaric. No anthro would do that to a fellow anthro and not be charged with cannibalism and executed.

He sighed, watching as the blue-furred tiger, twenty-three, growled and perhaps thought of another escape plan. The tiger was always getting in trouble for trying to escape. Nathan didn't blame him. After finding out what the humans were doing to these test subjects made him want to escape as well, but what they needed was time. His ears twitched at the sound of the buzzer. One day, they would manage to escape. But what came after that, he didn't know. What he did know, was that the anthros that were held captive here needed to return to their homeworld and drive off the humans, to return life to the way it was before.

Dropped-from-the-Tree paced. She had been wearing the same clothes since she had been caught, and she was starting to smell. She was also starting to wear a rut in the floor. Her corner was all scuffed up from her pacing.
The humans called the other people in the room "dangerous." Tree had heard that word before. It meant "inflammable," "unsafe," or "easily angered," as far as Tree could tell. The people in this room were certainly inflammable. Tree had never spoken to any of them, but she had heard of number thirteen, a tiger; six one six, a lizard of some kind; and number four, a panther, whose name she recalled began with an "n." Nate, or Nick, or something, had killed a human with one swipe of his paw. Tree looked him over, and he didn't look like the type to do that. Although, she had been wrong about people before. And they were usually cats. Bears always have trouble with cats, Tree's mother used to tell her. They aren't bad people, she had said, just hard to understand.
The tiger, who now sat crouching at the door, was known for his escape attempts, which had been leaning toward the wild and crazy of late. Tree wasn't so sure about him. What would he do once he escaped? He would have to hide somewhere, and get humans on his side, if he wanted not to get caught. That is, unless he's willing/able to kill a lot of people.

Lost in the dream realm of everything good, like unicorns and rainbows which wasn't completely unheard of from the ditzy little human who was laying on her stomach on her regulation, cookie cutter bed with her mouth parted so her saliva could soak into the pillow and leave her cheek sticky. Groaning as she heard the constant, annoying beeping of her alarm clock, her hand moving up to fumble around on her nightstand and in the process of killing her clock she nocked over her glasses. Finally after a moment of frantic groping with her hand she finally turned the alarm off with a sigh, forcing her face in the pillow. She really didn't look forward to another day of this, it was so depressing at times and it wasn't her life's goal, she wanted to help animals, not test on these animistic beings, not that she didn't like them, she just didn't like using them as lab rats. However, work was work she told herself mentally as she pushed herself up and drug her feet on over the side of the bed before slowly pushing herself up which followed by a small crunching sound. Pausing as she looks down squinting though she already knew what had happened before she saw the blurry outline of her glasses which she had crushed just now. Oh great, this was starting out to be a wonderful day.

Shaking her head and rubbing her eyes to clear the sleep out of them before glancing down at her clock, blinking a few times and squinting. Gasping in terror when she noticed it was an hour later than what she normally woke up, cursing in a civil manner such as replacing the 'f' word with "friggin'", Terrance was never one to curse, she had been raised up right. Hurrying over to her bland drawers to pull out a silken onyx button up blouse, which she'd buttoned up wrong the first time in her rush. Then hopping into her matching dress pants while stumbling to the bathroom to brush her teeth and put on her make up hastily, it was all habit now, so mechanical most days but this day was more rushed. Fumbling with her knee high hoes before slipping her feet into her black tennis shoes that were dressy but easy to work in, partially falling out of her room into a hall way as she pulls one arm through her white labcoat. Running down the hall which housed the scientists like a hotel, scanning her I.D. card through the slide before the door would let her open, luckily this day it didn't give her problems like she would've suspected. Moving to the lobby to the desk as the secretary was busy speaking and laughing on the phone, clearing her throat shyly as the secretary gave her a glare which made her shrink a bit. The woman handed her a stack off manilla envelopes, books, and various papers, gaping at the stack before urging it into both her arms which slowed her down.

Moving through more of the security doors, thankfully some of the gaurds helped her open the door for her arms were full, not to mention everything was pretty blurry without her glasses. Finally she managed to get toward the holding quarters for the Anthros, letting out a releaved sigh as she moved toward the first door, casting a look over her shoulder at the two guards who didn't seem all to ready to help her open the door to the 'crazy room' as it was nicknamed by the people who worked here and didn't have any common curtiosy. With a indiginant huff which she made sure was silent least the guards actually heard her, she leaned against the door to lift up one leg to hold up her files, books, and paperwork while fumbling once more with her I.D. card which she sliced through the slider. Then it all went down hill, the door hissed open, leaving Terrance unbalanced on one leg but not for long as she fell down onto the ground, spilling her files and papers and books across the room. Her cheeks blushing a cherry red from her folly as she turned her emerald eyes up to the group residing in the room, a stray fiery orange strand of her hair had fell free from its tight bun.

"Oh... um... hi."
Praise to my father,
Blessed by the water,
Black night, dark sky,
The devil's cry!

The door opened and Tenka let out a loud, triumphant roar. He had definitely not expected Terrance to fall over, however, as he sailed right over her. His triumphant roar quickly changed to a panicked scream which was soon cut off by a loud thud as he sailed head first into the opposite wall.

He landed on the floor in a very not-so-graceful way. His back was curved almost double, half on the floor and half against the wall. His arms were spread out on either side of him and his eyes had a dazed look. His right root was barely an inch away from the floor while his left was held just a bit higher. His tail had collapsed over his face giving him a stunned appearance. The only sign that he was even still conscious was the fact that his ears had just twitched before going completely still.

Tenka didn't have time to react before the two guards grabbed him and shoved him back in the room before returning to their posts. Picking himself up from the floor, Tenka let out a low growl before slinking over to his corner, his chest and belly dragging against the ground. Another nick was added to the wall before he resumed counting and staring at the wall, his ears folded back against his head so they disappeared amongst his hair. He wasn't pleased about his failed attempt and the fact that he had been openly humiliated by it only worsened his mood.

Nathan sighed as he watched twenty-three's failed attempt at escape. Again. As the tiger was thrown bodily back into the cell, he ran a paw through his jet-black hair and sighed again, watching the human woman, who had also fallen, make a lame excuse to hide her embarrassment. He shook his head, growling low in his throat, before settling his back on the wall behind him. He never knew what was it with these humans, and their interest in his kind. The only thing difference between them and humans was the simple fact that they were half animal, such a simple difference, and yet the humans wanted to find out how different they were, physically and mentally.

He let his eyes close slowly, ignoring the humans and other furs, instead sinking into his memory's bank of songs that he'd listened to and memorised, plucking a random song and listening to it in his head, mentally drowning out everything else but the song.

Nuuzuumuz's wings did not work like a bee on Earth's would. They did not beat as rapidly, because she was much larger than an Earth bee. She could generate enough power to carry herself through the air with a few flaps. However, carrying herself and her sibling was trickier.
"You are very heavy," she said to it.
"Ubgugh," it said.
It wasn't good for these two to be away from a hive for so long. Nuuzuumuz knew her body would notice her odd behaviors (basically doing anything that wasn't bringing honey to the hive or tending to children) and pronounce her Queen of her nonexistent hive. There were no drones around to impregnate her, but Nuuzuumuz knew there would be problems anyway. She was lucky to have Uuzm on her to give her body some evidence that she was still, indeed, a worker.
The other problem was that she needed the royal Gift, a food which the Queen gave the workers to keep them from going insane.* Her need for the Gift was not bothersome, but she feared for her sibling, who, without ever having tasted it, might never properly understand the workings of a hive and the feelings of cohesiveness that all bees should have.
"Stop right there," a guard said. Nuuzuumuz paused, then landed. She put Uuzm on her back and charged at the guard. She was only slightly smaller than he was, but he backed away, looking afraid and worried.
This is weird, thought Nuuzuumuz. They seem less afraid of giant cats and bears. I'm only a bee.
The guard pulled out his walkie-talkie and radioed for backup. A couple more guards showed up, and one yelled in fright. He had never seen an insect Anthro before, although Nuuzuumuz didn't know it. She decided to take advantage of how intimidating she seemed to be, and charged. One guard fled, and the one who had yelled pulled out his gun. He fired one bad shot which ricocheted off Nuuzuumuz's exoskeleton, but the second shot pierced her thorax. Fearing for Uuzm, who had no exoskeleton, Nuuzuumuz stopped and landed. She cradled her sibling in her arms while she allowed herself to be brought to a cell by more guards.
"You think this one's dangerous?" one guard asked another.
"Oh yeah," he replied. "You ever been stung by a little bee? Think what this one could do."
"Good point."
They led Nuuzuumuz to a door where a human with red hair was standing.
"Doct--" one of the guards started, but he was cut off by a wild roar as a striped feline Anthro sailed through the door and hit the opposite wall. The guards released Nuuzuumuz, who, injured, could not fly well enough to escape, so she decided against it. The guards threw the cat back through the door and returned to Nuuzuumuz.
"Doctor McTallahan, are you all right?" one of them said to the human now lying on the ground, with papers and other things all around her. At least, Nuuzuumuz thought she was female. They were usually the ones with long hair. It was hard to pick out female humans among so many males.
"The men do the work, Uuzm," she said to her sibling. "Isn't that odd?"
The maggot gave an affirmative sort of squelch.
"This cell's awfully full," one guard said. "We'd better put these two in the next one."

[[*Just so you know, I'm not making this up, so don't call me cliche. Actual bees do this.]]

[[I really feel like putting lots of inappropriate references in my posts just to get a higher grade level rating. But...I won't.]]

Oh, shit...
Alex opened the door he thought had been to the room containing his tank, but it was a storage closet. He did a double take and backtracked until he found a landmark; an elevator with a small array of circles on the front. They were marks from a scuffle he had had with some guards a while back, and he remembered making the same mistake then as now, going the wrong way and finding the closet.
I swear, he thought, this place changes. Now, which way was it? Right? No, that's to the guards office, I can't go that way...not left, that's the closet. Oh, I know. He turned around and went toward the closet again. After counting three doors down, he found a locked door. He pushed a tentacle between the door and the wall to unlock it from the other side, opened it, and glided through. A few doors down he found a hallway identical to the one he had just come from, except that this time the closet was his room. After sneaking inside, he hoisted himself into his tank, which was about the size of a small swimming pool.
As ever, Alex found his timing to be impeccable. Within the minute, two guards came in, dragging a creature Alex didn't recognize. Its body was divided into sections, which were each covered in short, coarse hair. It had many sectional legs and huge, black eyes. In its forearms was a large white mass.
