Academically speaking, Ren is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, failing most of the school's tests if she didn't prepare herself ahead of time. Memorization isn't her forte and neither is logic like math. Her best trait would be how she handles other people and her street-smart, but neither are things that they grade in school, much to her chagrin. Fortunately enough, she can use that either skill to make it seem like she's smarter than she actually is, in turn improving other's image of her.

Despite her "extra-curricular" activities, the violet-haired woman studies hard. If one were to check her notes, you'd see them what appears to be an organized version of the lecture, color-coded and dog-eared with the number of times she's run her fingers through the pages. While she's come to accept that her natural intelligence coupled with her hard work isn't enough to pass, it would be strange if she suddenly stopped working hard altogether to others. Plus, she didn't want to pass on an empty brain; if she got fired because she couldn't keep up, then that would ruin the point of passing the exam.

Her obsession with passing coupled with her now-questionable morals have turned the once normal girl to someone you'd rather not cross. While on the surface she's not someone who appears to be involved in unsavory activities, that's exactly what makes her such a threat. Being nice and honest is only beneficial once you're ahead; you need to lie and cheat to get to that point and as of this moment, she's perfectly willing to do either to reach her goal.

Ren has her own reasons for wanting to pass, and she's not really inclined to sharing them. All that matters is that it's reason enough for her to resort to dirtier tactics to get the job done. In general though, she's always been somewhat of a stubborn mule; once she's set her sights on something, she'll bullheadedly force her way to it despite how impossible it may seem. The finals exam is such an example.

First impressions can be misleading, and the same could be said about Ren's outer shell. To most, she is nothing more than your average hard-working student and it's difficult to deny that it's true. One only needs to see her notebooks filled with lessons and textbooks highlighted with important information to acknowledge that she truly does put her effort into studying. But her true persona is no longer something as simple as that. It's a ruse meant to mislead and distract; a red herring, so to speak.
While not the smartest person in the school, she's not an idiot. Ren knows how to use her skills and attributes to her advantage. She's pleasant to talk to, making friends as easily as 1, 2, 3. It's easy to confide and place your trust in someone who knows exactly what to say to make you feel better. This often makes her privvy to information you'd probably not have leaked... which brings us to what exactly makes Ren such a dangerous enemy.
Whatever weakness you have, she will use to her advantage. At first, she'll simply subtly hint at letting the truth get out. Just when you think that's all she'll do, she suddenly goes on the offensive and you're already caught in her trap. And it's not just truths that she'll use; she'll use flatout lies to gain the upperhand. Case in point, she once snuck a lolicon pornography book into a teacher's belongings and then pretended to have discovered it. While she hasn't resorted to using her body, Ren's hinted a number of times towards that direction.
Ren is not without conscience though, and always has to mentally steel herself to do something she finds morally wrong. Oftentimes her reasoning involves "I'm only trying to make up for what I lack" or "it's not fair that they can get by with just that". She often makes her struggles seem harder than they actually are just to justify that she should do it. After all, she was always wired to be the good girl; it takes a special kind of dedication to keep herself from feeling guilty. She already went down that path, might as well maximize the rewards.
