Theme Songs
Misery
So scared of breaking it
That you won't let it bend
And I wrote two hundred letters
I will never send
Sometimes these cuts are so much deeper than they seem
You'd rather cover up
I'd rather let them bleed
Rock N Roll
Don't know how to keep my mouth shut
You say so what (what)
I don' t care if I'm misfit
I like it better than the hipster of all shit
I am the mother fucking princess
You still love me

Kennedy Callaway

Kennedy’s eyes were heavy with sleep although she’d been passed out for the past twelve hours. The morning sun beamed through the make shift, sheet curtain that hung over her window. She breathed in slowly, the smell of the salty air never got old to her, she’d lived by the ocean her entire life, yet the smell of salty ocean air was something she never got used to and hoped she never would.

She shifted in the bed, moving from her side to her back, feeling someone else in bed next to her and she finally willed her eyes open, Austen was asleep next to her, naked, though the sheets covered from his hips down. Kenna rolled her eyes him being next to her in bed, naked, meant two things. They’d had sex and they were on again. Her eyes traced over his perfectly etched body and she smirked. At least he was good for one thing she thought.

She sat up dressed in nothing more than Austen’s black t-shirt and a pair of lacy black boy short, under ware. She grabbed her pack of cigarettes, lighting one and taking a long drag, underneath her cloths her heart aced like it always did, but she ignored it, she’d grown use to the pain and hardly noticing it these days, but everyone in a while it flared up more than normal reminding her.

She quietly crossed over Austen, stepping of the bed, if you could call two mattresses stacked on top each other a bed. She grabbed the half empty bottle of whisky that loosely hung from his hand. He was a heavy sleeper, so she wasn’t all that worried about waking him. She took a swig from the whisky bottle not even flinching as it burned down her throat. She stepped over empty bottles, dirty cloths, acoustic guitars, and other unidentifiable objects scattered on the floor, like she knew what steps to take by heart.

Finally reaching the door, not bothering to put pants on simply staying in her post sex cloths. She made her way into the kitchen, where Jack, Brandy, Tristan, and several others, were still passed out from last night’s party. As per usual she was the first awake. She stepped over unconscious bodies until she reached the expensive stereo system, they had somehow acquired, it was wired through the entire house inside and out, it came in handy for their almost nightly parties. She slipped in a blank CD with the words “Morning Mix” written in hot pink.

The soft melody of the song drifted through the house loudly, not annoyingly loud. It was Kennedy’s ritualistic wake up call, meaning everyone needed to get the fuck up and if they didn’t live there, they needed to get the fuck out.

She stepped back over the bodies that started to shift and moan, more than likely a little hung over. She pushed the screen door open stepping out onto the porch and taking a deep breath, closing her eyes as she listened to the music.

“Mouse?” Her eyes shot open at the voice and the nickname, her eyes falling on her older brother and she suddenly become aware of how trashy she looked. Cigarette in one hand, half full whisky bottle in the other, scantily dressed.

But she could careless, she hadn’t seen her brother in over a year and he was well aware of who she was and he loved her anyways, an uncontrollable smirk lit her lips.

Keegan’s knee bounced up and down as he sat in his mother’s kitchen, clearly uncomfortable and wanting to leave. His morning had been hell, first the airline had misplaced his luggage, then he’d nearly got arrested for starting a fight with some arrogant teenager, he’d left his cell phone back in California, and now he was having to go to his mother to try and find out where Kennedy was. He’d saved her address in his cellphone, which also happen to have cellphone number.

“I don’t know where that trap is, I haven’t seen her in over four months.” His mother hissed, it was clear she didn’t care about any of her children. “It’s nice of you to show up after four years.” She said coldly.

She’d aged tremendously since the last time Keegan had seen her, he figured that was more or less due to the fact she had lung cancer, but he honestly didn’t give a shit.

“You looking for Kenna?” A soft voice came from behind him and he smirked, already knowing who it was. Charlotte smiled to her older brother, wrapping her arms around him tightly as he stood up.

“Hey Charlie.” He said kissing the top of her head “Yeah, you know where she is.” He said pulling back so he could look at her.

“Yeah, but…” Charlotte glanced to her mother, the women rolled her eyes leaving the room not bothering to try and find out where her daughter was. “She’s live out on South Haven Beach.” She said writing the address down on a piece of paper and Keegan silently wondered how she’d turned out so sweet being raised with such a terrible person. She handed him the piece of paper, giving him another quick hug.

“I’ll be back in a few days to see you okay kido.” He said giving her a small smile before leaving without eve so much as a goodbye to his mother.

It was only an hour by bus to get to South Haven, but the walk to his sister’s actual house would take another twenty minutes. The bus left him off and he was glad to finally be off the thing. He pulled the strap of his warn backpack that held everything that held any importance to him, over his shoulder better securing it as he walked down the narrow asphalt path, that he knew would lead to the house.

He smoked a couple joints, enjoying the quite, serene surroundings. The weed doing nothing other than relax him, having smoked so often it rarely had an effect on him anymore. He heard music and smirked knowing he was getting close, it sounded like something his sister would listen to.

Finally a yellow house came into view and he walked up the small stone path, before pausing seeing his sister come out of the small old house. Dressed in nothing but a t-shirt and under ware, bottle in one hand smoke in the other, he let out a silent laugh, shaking his head.

“Mouse?” he said making himself present, she glanced to him surprised, smirking.

Finally decided to come home?” her snarky tone, not having any effect on him “Welcome back loser.” she smirked taking a swig of the whisky.

She made his way up the stairs grabbing the bottle from her and downing most of what was left, before stealing her cigarette.

“Thanks chief, missed you too.” He winked leaning against the banister enjoying her cigarette.

All Dahlia wanted to do was sleep forever, but the sun clearly had other things in mind, for it's rays shone down harshly on her face, and she was forced awake by it's unforgiving light. She blinked her eyes open slowly, holding a hand up to shade her eyes from the glaring light of the sun as she moaned, wanting nothing more than to roll over and go back to sleep. It was safe to say that Dahlia was not a morning person. She was a night owl. Active by night, dead, and practically useless, by day.

However, the glaring sun simply would not let her get back to sleep, so she sat up slowly, every inch of her body protesting sorely against movement. She could hear the soft shush of waves, and taste the salt on the air as she sat up, allowing her blurry vision to focus enough for her to see that she was on the beach.

Movement next to her made her glance over to see that she was not alone on the beach. There was a guy there, laying on his stomach, completely naked, and she realized she was wearing nothing but an oversized shirt, she definitely did not own. "Well you must not have been that much fun." She spoke sleepily to him as he slept. "Can't even remember you." She glanced down at the shirt, seeing that it was a Pearl Jam t-shirt, a band she liked. "Thanks for the shirt though."

Behind her, the soft sound of music drifted through the trees, and she recognized it as her and Kennedy's morning mix, meaning her friend was up as well.

Dahl looked around the beach, seeing that there were various other people passed out on it too, meaning they'd had a party the night before. She glanced at the guy next to her. Was he one of her brother's loser friends? Had her brother made some money last night? She was always overly suspicous of Jack when she couldn't remember a thing because yeah, she got shitfaced, but she liked to have stories to tell, so she tended to keep herself just sober enough that she could remember. When Jack was looking to make profit on her, he slipped her so much she completely blacked out.

Dahli sighed deeply and stood, stretching herself out before finding her bikini bottoms and slipping them on, not really bothering to look for the top, seeing as she wasn't extremely busty, so the t-shirt hid her well enough.

She walked down the beach, kicking people awake and telling them they had to leave, her usual morning duty was clearing out the beach bums that lagged behind the morning after a party.

Once they were all gone, Dahli sighed deeply and slipped off the t-shirt, tossing it in the sand, leaving her in nothing but her bottoms and walking into the waves. The waves were as familiar to her as her own reflection, despite the fact that she'd only been living in Hawaii for a couple of years, but for the majority of her life, she'd been living on the east coast, so she knew the ocean well.

Only the warmer, calmer waters of the Pacific felt much more like home than the frigid Atlantic. She might as well have been born there. And, as far as she was concerned, she had been. To her, life hadn't started until the day she'd hopped the plane and arrived in Hawaii.

"I like the view." A voice came from behind her. She was waist-deep in the waters, letting the soft waves rock her gently back and forth. She glanced over her shoulder, without turning, to see that Tristin was standing behind her.

"Yeah, the ocean's nice in the morning." She smirked, knowing he had been referring to her standing in the waves topless.

"Not what I meant." He said, making her chuckle.

Dahli rolled her eyes. "Sarcasm Trist." She said, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath of the salty sea air before turning, walking back up to the beach where she grabbed the shirt and slid it back over her head. She pulled her white-blond hair out of the neck of the shirt and looked at Tristin. He was holding a cigarette in one hand, and a beer in the other.

She smirked, taking them both from him, taking a drag from the cigarette and a swig from the beer. "You know the way home." She said as she pushed past him and skipped lightly up onto the wooden path that lead into the palm forest that edged the beach one way, and out over the ocean the other, following it into the trees.

Dahli followed the familiar path through the forest, the wood under her bare feet eventually ending for dirt, as she made her way back up to the house. The music was playing, and she smiled and swung open the screen door, taking another drag off Tristin's cigarette before heading in.

Inside, she found several people waking up and it was obvious Kennedy had already done her job, covering the people in the house. Some of the people were recognizable, like Brandy and Jack, and Jack's new best-buddy Nathan who'd come around more than once, but that was about it.

A few people hello-ed her, but she ignored them, making a path through the waking bodies to the front door, wanting to see Kennedy, and knowing she was either on the porch or in her room.

She stepped outside, so find Kennedy standing on the porch with someone she'd never seen. Dahlia smirked and didn't exactly hide the way she let her eyes trail slowly over him from head to toe before returning to his face. She slung an arm around Kennedy's shoulders lazily and leaned on her a little, taking a drag off her cigarette and puffing it out in the guy's face. "Well A-lo-ha." She smirked, enunciating each syllable of the word. "Kennedy?" She said sweetly, kissing her friend on the cheek. "Who's your friend?" She whispered in her ear playfully, though it was clearly loud enough for him to hear.

She knew what she probably looked like, sand covering her body, coating her wild blond hair, walking around in nothing but a t-shirt, cigarette hanging from her lips, wet from the waist down with salty-smelling ocean water, but she didn't really care. It was early in the morning, or, early for her at least. If they wanted her to be well-groomed, they could keep dreaming.

Nathan woke with a start as someone nudged him in the ribs and he groaned. He rolled over onto his back and ran his hands over his face slowly, trying to wake himself up before dropping his hand on his stomach with a sleepy sigh and opening his eyes suddenly.

Big mistake. Light pierced his eyes, making him groan again and squint as a pounding headache set in, a sheer sign that he'd drank too much the night before. He rolled his head to the side, moving his eyes from the ceiling to the room.

He was laying on his back on the sofa in the middle of the room. There was a girl sharing it with him that he could vaguely remember as being named Brandy, and that was a big plus for him. Usually he didn't even know their names. He glanced down, relieved to find that he had his jeans on, though his shirt was missing.

Slowly, Nathan sat up, waking Brandy. She moaned and sat up next to him, shooting him a sleepy smile. He smiled back before propping his elbows on his knees and dropping his face into his hands, rubbing them down the length of his face to wake himself up before dropping his hands loosely, shaking his head viciously, and looking around again.

Around him, people were waking up, and he glanced up to see that Kennedy, one of the residents of the house he was in, slipped out the door, and he couldn't help but notice that she was in nothing but a t-shirt, and a pair of lacey black underwear that peeked out from the bottom of her shirt.

"Some fucking party, huh?" Someone asked, throwing themselves down on the couch between him and the girl, slapping a hand on his back and laughing. Nathan laughed at Jack and nodded.

Jack was his "friend", and he lived with his sister and her friend who liked to throw outrageous parties and had a thing for taking in people who had no home, like Jack. Only Jack wasn't some sob-story who was just down on his luck. He was a no-good mooch, and an asshole, Nathan knew that. But he was good for free drugs, crazy parties, and, seeing as he didn't have a home yet on the island, an occasional place to stay, so Nate called him friend, and Jack considered him his "main man" since he'd arrived a year ago.

Probably because Jack didn't have any real friends, so it was either Nathan be his main man or no one.

Nathan smirked. "Yeah." He said, voice thick with sleep as his head pounded. "They always are Jack." He smirked and rolled his eyes, standing, like he was going to leave with the rest of the party-goers who'd passed out.

"Where ya goin'?" Jack asked, looking up from him on the couch.

He shook his head. "You know what Kennedy says," he said with a sigh. "I don't live here, so I'm leaving. Party's over."

Jack rolled his eyes and shook his head, forcing him to sit back down with a smirk. "I live here, so I say you can stay." He said, placing a joint in his hand with a smile.

Nathan sighed, but didn't argue as he light the joint and raised it to his lips, inhaling the smoke into his lungs and allowing the weed to calm his headache, and relax him some.

Kennedy Callaway
Image

Kennedy raised her brow to her brother as if giving him a next time you take my cigarette, I won’t be so forgiving kind of look. To which he simply smirked. It wasn’t hard to tell they were brother and sister, once they opened their mouths of course they practically had the same attitude.

“Nice place sis.” He said casually.

Kennedy shrugged as she grabbed the pack of cigarettes from the small table on the porch lighting another and taking a drag of it, she walked back over to stand near her brother. I’d been so long since she’d seen him, if they’d have been alone she’d have easily turned into a little girl and hugged him, but she was in front of her peers, most of them didn’t even know any of her family was still living.

“You know that’s not good for you.” he said the words hating the way they’d come out as he sat there smoking just like her.

She rolled her eyes, taking a long drag on purpose “I’m letting you stay here for free Ty.” She said plainly “Your my brother, not mom…not dad. If you want to live her you play by my rules simple as that.” She said, though she knew he meant well. “People don’t know there anything wrong with me, I plan to keep it that way.” She said informing him and he nodded in understanding.

His softer side disappearing almost immediately as he’d let it show through. “Well, I got you a house warming gift, Lilo’s bringing it by later today.” He smirked and Kennedy gave him a confused look.

“You still talk to that skank?” she rolled her eyes.

“You still talk to that skank?” Kennedy asked and Keegan rolled his eyes as he put out the cigarette.

He opened his mouth to answer but his attention was pulled from his sister, to the girl who joined them on the porch. She was dressed like his sister and she still looked like she was coming off of some kind of high, he smirked as she looked him over, not at all trying to hide it.

"Well A-lo-ha." she said drawing out the word and he sighed as he finished off what was left of the whisky bottle. “Kennedy? Who's your friend?” she whispered to his sister, making it loud enough for him to hear.

He liked this girl already, she was bold and fearless, something in her body language told him she was just the type of girl he loved to pick apart, the type of girl that could challenge him.

He smirked “Babe, if you want to get to know me, ask me yourself.” He said confidently, it wasn’t common for his forward gestures to win a girl over, though something told him that wouldn’t work with her and he hated himself for reading her like an open book, but he couldn’t help it, he did it to everyone.

“Cool it.” Kennedy said giving her brother small look “She’s not a science project.” Kennedy spat already able to see the wheels in her brothers head turning.

“I’m Keegan.” He said crossing his arms in front of him coolly “Kennedy’s brother.” he said respecting his sisters wishes. “And you are? Let me guess…Dahlia.” He smirked “Kenna’s told me a lot about you, except for how stunningly beautiful you are.” He gave a sideways smirk.

Kennedy sighed ”Keegan, you’re a fucking idiot.” She rolled her eyes, no longer wanting to be around him, he could tell he’d pissed her off and he mentally kick himself as he watched her disappear into the house.

“Babe, if you want to get to know me, ask me yourself.” The guy said confidently, making Dahlia's eyes narrow a little as she looked him over again, about to say something sarcastically about his eavesdropping getting him in trouble, when Kennedy spoke up instead.

"Cool it." Her friend said, and Dahl didn't miss the look she shot him, obviously irritated with the way he was looking at her."She's not a science project." Dahlia smirked and kissed Kennedy on the cheek again, as though thanking her for warding him off, even though it was clear she could handle him herself.

“I’m Keegan.” He said as he crossed his arms in front of him, and Dahl tried to remember if she'd ever heard the name before. She thought she'd heard Kenna say it a few times, but she'd probably been too busy rolling herself a joint to pay attention. “Kennedy’s brother.” he said and suddenly, she remembered K saying something about her brother coming to stay with them. “And you are? Let me guess…Dahlia.” He smirked and she shrugged. “Kenna’s told me a lot about you, except for how stunningly beautiful you are.”

Dahlia scoffed and rolled her eyes, laughing as her friend called him an idiot as she shrugged D's arm from her shoulder and went inside.

"Great." Dahlia smirked, gesturing towards where Kenna had disappeared. "I'm going to have to cool her off." She said teasingly.
"Yeah I'm Dahlia." She shrugged with a smirk as she turned back towards the house. "But you can keep your lame compliments and pick up lines to yourself." She said as she opened the door. "Oh, and don't call me babe again." She shrugged and glanced at him over her shoulder. "Remember that, and you're welcome to come in." She winked before disappearing into the house after her friend.

Jack was sitting on the couch with his friend and Brandy who stood and slipped past her and out the door as she entered. "'Sup sis? Have fun with Jimmy?" Jack asked, nodding his head to her like a retard and she rolled her eyes, making a disgusted face.

Dahlia stopped, her fists clenching tightly, wanting to say something back to him, but not wanting to make a scene and let everyone in the room know, one, that she was afraid of her brother, and two, why.

Jack smirked at her and reached into his pocket, pulling out a handful of cash and holding it up so she could see before putting it away and patting his pocket as if it was precious. To anyone else, it would be confusing and make no sense, but D understood what it meant, and it made her stomach twist.

Dahlia rolled her eyes. "You're disgusting." She spat, fists clenching tightly, wanting to jump him. He was an asshole, and a loser, and a mooch, but very dangerous. He was the very reason Dahlia had a lock on her door, carried around a knife, and slept with a gun under her pillow.

However, she forced herself to relax, ripping the joint Nathan was smoking from his hand and walking past them as she inhaled it, slipping into the kitchen that was attached to the living room. Their apartment wasn't huge, but Dahlia and Kennedy loved it and had taken great care in making the space their own. They'd filled it with color and cluttered it with useless stuff that, to the average person, would be stupid, or make no sense, but the them was interesting or cool. The house itself was painted a bright yellow, with a screen inner door and an aqua outer one, while each room was painted some obnoxiously bright color.

In the kitchen, Dahl leaned on the counter and forced herself to breath, forced herself to forget Jack and his idiocy and the way he terrorized her. She was stronger then that.

Once she'd composed herself, she sighed and opened the fridge, taking another long drag off the joint before closing it again and standing in the archway between the living room and kitchen. "Anyone want pancakes?" Dahlia asked with a smirk, as she took another hit off the joint before flicking it away, knowing at least one of them would jump at it, seeing as Dahlia was more than just a good cook.

Nathan sat and listened as Jack went on and on about how sweet the party had been, though not really paying attention. He'd been there. He knew it'd been fun.

The door opened suddenly, and Kennedy came in. He nodded to her and took a hit off the joint. He had to admit, she was the type of girl he liked to mess with. She was tough and wild, yet not as nuts as her friend Dahlia. He liked Dahl, but she was too crazy for him. Kenna, though, was perfect.

The perfect balance between wild and tame. Not to mention a killer body. His kind of girl.

Nathan was yanked from his thoughts when Jack nudged him roughly. "Are you even listening man?" He asked.

Nathan smirked and shook his head. "Nope." He said, honestly, and he could tell that it made Jack a little pissed, but before he could say anything, Dahlia had come inside too.

Nathan watched as they interacted, briefly, but tensely, and he couldn't help but wonder what went on between them as Dahlia disappeared into the kitchen, swiping his joint from his fingers as she passed him.

Nathan rolled his eyes, about to jump up and chase her down to get it back, irritated, but Jack just handed him another and shook his head. "She's a bitch." Jack said with a shrug, and Nathan rolled his eyes, but didn't argue. Dahlia wasn't a bitch, but he was upset that she'd stolen his joint.

He took a drag off the new one, and was about to ask Jack what had been up with the weird interaction, when Dahlia reappeared, asking who wanted pancakes, and suddenly, Nate considered her forgiven. Dahlia's cooking was heavenly. More than heavenly, and suddenly, he realized he would probably kill someone for a plate of pancakes.

Nate smirked and raised his hand briefly. "Make me about twenty." He said, dropping his hand again and looking at Kennedy. She seemed irritated.

"What's up with you?" He asked, nodding towards her.

Kennedy Callaway

Kennedy was normally extremely patient with her brother, they were the only ones who understood where the other was coming from and from a split second she’d wondered why she’d been so short with him, until her skin started to crawl and she was absentmindedly itching the inside of her elbow. She realized she hadn’t had a hit in a few days and it was really starting to affect her mood, she hated being addicted, but it wasn’t like it was easy to stop or she could quit cold turkey.

She sat at the small two person table that sat outside the kitchen in their make shift dining room. But, it was all one room the living room, the dining room and the kitchen were all open to each other and she pretend not to see the exchange between Jack and Dahlia. She really wanted to deck him in the face, she didn’t know what went on between them, but she knew he held something over her and she hated that. Her mind was all over and she couldn’t focus on one particular thing, so she pretended to read over some old bills.

”She’s a bitch” she heard jack sat to Nathan, her fists clenched almost instinctively.

"Anyone want pancakes?" Dahlia asked and she heard Nathan say something, but she wasn’t really paying much attention to him.

"What's up with you?" She knew he was talking to her, she glanced to him with s wicked smirk.

“I’m sorry…do I know you?” she asked playing dumb “Oh right, you’re the ass hole who hangs out with the worthless piece of shit.” She said spat harshly, keeping her eyes on him.

Her attention was taken as she glanced to the front door seeing her brother come through the door. Already knowing him and Jack would be at each others throats, once Keegan saw how he treated Dahlia.

“I’ll take some babe.” He smirked and Kennedy rolled her eyes. She could already tell, Dahlia was her brother’s next challenge and there was nothing she could do to stop it.

“Hey ass hole.” She said glancing back to Nathan “I need a favor.” She started as Keegan made his way into the kitchen, sitting across from Kennedy at the table.

Kennedy stood up crossing the room, stopping in front of where Nathan sat an just like Dahlia had she took his joint, taking a drag from it. She need to keep her mind off getting a fix one because she had no one to shoot up with this early in the morning and she hated doing it alone and two she was bored and she had never really talked to him before, other then a few words here and there

“I need you to kick my boyfriend out.” She smirked wickedly.

"Great. I’m going to have to cool her off." She teased as she continued "Yeah I'm Dahlia." he smirked, proud of himself for being right "But you can keep your lame compliments and pick up lines to yourself. Oh, and don't call me babe again. Remember that, and you're welcome to come in." she said and he was instantly hooked.

Telling him not to do something or that he couldn’t, meant he was going to do it whether or not you liked it. He didn’t follow her in immediately though, he stayed leaned against the banister. Life here was different, it was calmer. They did what they wanted with little to no repercussions and he loved that. He was happy to be back home, he just didn’t know how he’d fit in.

Finally coming inside his sister seemed to be more agitated and he knew now it wasn’t him who’d said something, she was having a withdrawal from something.

“I’ll take some babe.” He smirked making himself present but speaking only to Dahlia, purposely calling her Babe.

He made his way across the room sitting across from Kennedy, though she got up almost as soon as he’d sat down. He wasn’t paying attention to his sister, instead his attention was on Dahlia.

“It’s a good thing one of you can cook.” He smirked “Kenna can’t cook worth shit.” He laughed.

Keegan could feel eyes on him, most of which were from the remaining stragglers who had yet to leave the small apartment. He was intimidating, the way he carried himself and the way he looked, screamed fresh out of prison, though he’d never actually been to prison. Only jail a few times, he knew glanced around the room to where his sister was holding a conversation with a guy, which made his eyes narrow, but he managed to pull his eyes away as he scanned the room, sure enough a few guys had been staring at him and quickly turned when he’d spotted them.

"Make me about twenty." Nathan said, raising his hand, and Dahl nodded at him. She would make some for Kenna too, though she didn't know if she wanted some, and some for herself of course, she was starving.

“I’ll take some babe.” She heard and glanced up to see that Kenna's brother had come in.

"Yeah, how 'bout you make me some too?" Jack asked with a smirk from the couch, nudging Nathan next to him with a laugh. "At least she's good for something huh?" He laughed and Dahl flipped him off before heading back into the kitchen.

“It’s a good thing one of you can cook.” Keegan said from the table which was just behind the stove, so she could see him, and shrugged. “Kenna can’t cook worth shit.” Dahl chuckled.

"Yeah, we figured that out pretty early." She laughed lightly before heading to the fridge and gathering her materials. She glanced at what she had, then the room. "God, Damn." She smirked teasingly. "I'm not sure I have enough to feed a room of hungry potheads." She said as she got to work.

First, she made eight, piling four on two plates before carrying them over to Jack and Nathan. She handed Nathan his, but pulled back Jack's just before he could grab them. "I should make you drag your ass to the nearest soup kitchen for breakfast, you dick." She spat and rolled her eyes before finally shoving the plate at him. "Fortunately, I'm better then that."

Then she made a plate for Kennedy and set it at the table. "There's some on the table for ya K." D called before making Keegan's plate.

She walked up behind him at the table and smirked, leaning down so that her lips were right next to his ear as she reached around him and held a plate before him. On it, was a single, tiny pancake, no bigger than the palm of her hand. She turned her head so that she was facing the side of his face, and smiled. "Eat up," she whispered as she roughly dropped the plate with a loud clang. "babe." Dahl smirked and stood again, sliding a finger along his shoulder as she passed him and went back to the kitchen.

Finally, she made herself a plate of pancakes, and stacked a plate of extras next to the stove for anyone who wanted seconds, and she had a feeling Keegan would, seeing as what she'd given him barely qualified as a pancake. She went over to the fridge and grabbed the butter before grabbing the syrup and walking around to the makeshift dining room, and sitting in the seat across from Keegan, kicking her feet up on the empty seat next to her.

"Alright, now that I've served everyone, I'm finally sitting down." She announced. "So if any of you fuckers need someone to help you butter your pancakes, Jack," she smirked. "Don't bother me with your problems."

She laughed lightly and set to work eating, starving.

“I’m sorry…do I know you?” Kennedy asked and he smirked. “Oh right, you’re the ass hole who hangs out with the worthless piece of shit.” She said spat and he shrugged, taking a hit off the joint. It wasn't like she was lying. He was and asshole, and Jack was more than just a worthless piece of shit.

Then, a man came in that he'd never seen and asked Dahlia for pancakes as well before sitting at the table with Kenna. Jack asked for some pancakes too and nudged him, saying something unintelligent that he really didn't care about.

“Hey ass hole.” Kennedy said, and he glanced up. “I need a favor.”

She stood and walked over to him, swiping his joint, just as Dahlia had done, and he rolled his eyes, watching as she itched her elbow, and Nate smirked. He knew an addict when he saw one, and Kenna was jonesing for something.

“I need you to kick my boyfriend out.” She said, and he raised his eyebrows just as Dahl came over with a plate of pancakes. He laughed and set the plate on the side table before standing, suddenly really close to Kenna, and taking his joint back.

"Why not?" He shrugged, taking a hit and puffing she smoke in her face. "But you'll owe me dollface." He smirked and walked away from her, heading to the door he knew was her bedroom and pushing it open.

In the bed was a guy he knew Kennedy was off and on with and he picked up the guys jeans, throwing them on his face harshly before nudging him awake roughly. "Up and out." He said with a smirk. "Princess wants you gone."

"There's some on the table for ya K." she heard her friend say and she glanced over her shoulder giving her a smile.

“Thanks hun.” She said before turning back to Nathan.

He stood up, he was suddenly close to her and she had to admit there was an energy between them, that she wonder if he felt or maybe that was just the sex addict in her taking over. Whatever it was she pushed it far from her thoughts. He wasn't the type of guy she'd ever want to get involved with.

"Why not?" she smirked as he took his joint back "But you'll owe me dollface." she wasn’t entirely sure what he meant by that, but whatever he had in mind she’d more than likely do and if she didn’t want to she just wouldn’t.

She followed behind him already knowing Austen would try and start something. He wasn’t some pansy ass and he hated when people ordered him around. She lend on the wall across from her bedroom door as Nathan went in and threw his pants on his face, before nudging him to wake up. Kennedy could have easily done it herself, hell she could have had Keegan do it and he’d been happy to do it. But, Kennedy got these ideas in her head and once she did it was almost impossible to get them out of her head and the idea of another guy, Nathan in particular waking up her on again off again boyfriend, who claimed he was in love with her, after they’d just had sex, seemed amusing to her.

"Up and out. Princess wants you gone." she could help but let out a silent laugh at the use of princess. Princess of being wasted, strung out, and having a one track mind for sex and surfing maybe.

Austen sat up, giving Nathan a Death glare before glancing behind him to where Kennedy stood lend on the wall, casually. Kenna ran her hands through her hair pretending not to see the way he looked her over, like she was a charity case. She could never understand why he chased after her, but claimed to hate D. They were initially the same type of girl, that he liked to classify as trashy.

“Last time I checked you don’t live here.” He said harshly slipping his pants on, already having boxers on.

“Yeah and neither do you.” Kenna cut in.

He walked past Nathan to where Kennedy stood, he could tell by just looking at her she was having withdrawals. She yawned like she was bored of him, waiting for him to lecture her like he always did or tell her how she’d regret this and that.

“Good luck dealing with her, I’d get out of the house while you can, the devils going to come out in her.” He said speaking to Nathan though keeping his eyes on Kennedy “I got somewhere to be anyways.” He said kissing her roughly on the lips.

She didn’t bother kissing back or pushing him away, she was focused more on the Lorde song that started to drift through the speakers, she smirk as he pulled away.

“Bye Austen.” She said simply, he rolled his eyes storming out of the house.

She walked into the room not bothering to thank Nathan or even acknowledge that he was still standing there. She bent over the bed, purposely knowing her ass was hanging out of her lacy panties, grabbing her stash of joints from the window seal, lighting one and taking a long drag. Kennedy had almost perfected the art of seduction, down to the way she moved or even smoked. She knew what guys liked and she knew just how to keep them guessing and wanting more.

She lend against the wall sitting on her bed as she looked up at Nathan, smirking. “So I hear you can surf…pretty damn good.” She started “You good with your hands too?” she said bluntly, more teasing as she took another drag from the joint. They’d never had a real conversation, since he started hanging around, mostly because she figured he’d be gone and there was no reason to pretend to get to know him. But, she’d be lying to herself if she said she hadn’t at least been curious or thought of what he’d be like in bed on occasion.

Keegan watched as Dahlia catered to everyone’s needs, handing them plates of food and he watched the way everyone interacted. Oddly enough it was like a family, extremely fucked up and broken, but it felt like more like home, than his actual home had. He was proud of Kennedy she had managed to find someone just as crazy, yet completely good hearted as her and they’d started their own really dysfunctional family.

He felt someone behind him and the smell of pot, alcohol, and ocean water was familiar to him. Her lips next to his ears caused him to shiver inside, but he was completely composed on the outside. "Eat up, babe." she said dropping the plate in front of him.

He shook his head giving a small laugh as he looked at the small palm sized pancake on his plate and the way she’d purposely called him babe and he mentally applauded her. Most girls would have already been batting their eyelashes or offered him a night he’d never forget.

A few moments later she sat down across from him "Alright, now that I've served everyone, I'm finally sitting down. So if any of you fuckers need someone to help you butter your pancakes, Jack," he followed her eyes to the homeless looking guy, that seemed to always be making some kind of rude comment about her "Don't bother me with your problems." she finished and he brought his eyes back to her.

He glanced to the plate Dahl had dubbed as Kennedy’s plate quickly making a switch with his own plate. He used the side of his fork to start cutting into the pancakes and taking a bite, not bothering to put butter or syrup on them. It was good…better than good. She could defiantly cook. Keegan glanced up seeing yet another person leave, who looked a little more than upset and he watched as another girl came inside. He glanced to Dahlia.

“So how often do you guys have parties?” he asked casually.

“Nightly.” Brandy cut in all though he was obviously asking D and not her. “Your more than welcome to join us tonight.” She smirk looking him over “Brandy.” She introduced herself pretending that Dahlia wasn’t even there.

“You live here to?” he asked seeming annoyed by her not bothering to introduce himself.

Dahlia watched as he swapped his plate for Kennedy's, but she didn't protest. K probably wouldn't eat anyway, and if she did, there was a plate of extra pancakes in the kitchen for whoever wanted seconds or whatever.

She watched as he took a bite and smirked at the look of satisfaction on his face, making it clear that he thought they were good, before going back to eating her own food. "So how often do you guys have parties?" Keegan asked from across the table, and she shrugged, about to answer, when someone cut in from behind her, and Dahl looked up to see that Brandy had come back.

"Nightly." She said, her eyes on Keegan, completely ignoring Dahlia's existence, making her roll her eyes and go back to her pancakes. "You're more than welcome to join us tonight." Brandy said before introducing herself, and Dahlia smirked. It was clear Brandy was interested in Keegan, though it wasn't like D could blame her. He was pretty hot.

Austen came out of Kennedy's room then and Dahlia raised her middle finger to him as he walked out, knowing he already thought of her as trashy, but not really caring. She hated the guy. He was always trying to dictate who Kennedy could talk to, and, unfortunately, that meant he was always trying to get rid of Dahlia. He seemed to think Dahl was a bad influence. So he also had a bad habit of keeping Tristin from her, despite the fact that she'd known Tristin before she'd ever even known Kennedy. He'd been a friend of hers from New York.

As if reading her mind, Tristin walked in the back door, and she rolled her eyes. He must have been hanging down at the beach the whole time instead of going home like she'd told him to. He walked over to the table, lifting her legs from the seat next to her, before sitting down and placing her legs back down on his lap.

"You live here too?" Keegan asked Brandy, and Dahlia scoffed. Brandy was their friend, but she could be a real bitch at times. If Brandy lived with them, D would move out.

"No." Dahlia said with a smirk before Brandy could answer, and she looked at Keegan before around at the room. "Sorry," she said, voice sarcastic. "I'm being rude. How about I introduce you to everyone?" She said, though it was clear from her tone that she wasn't really sorry, and she didn't really care about being rude.

In truth, she just wanted to introduce everyone so Tristin wouldn't speak up and say something stupid like she knew he was bound to. Dahlia gestured to the door. "The guy you saw walk out?" She said, watching Keegan. "That's Austen. K's on-again-off-again prick of a boyfriend." She said, rolling her eyes to get her message across before pulling her legs from Tristin's lap and standing, wrapping an arm lazily around Brandy's shoulders. "You just met Brandy, a friend of mine and K's, though an admitted whore." She smirked, kissing Brandy on the cheek playfully before pulling off her.

She moved to stand behind Tristin, placing her hands on his shoulders. "This is Tristin." She said with a smile, eyes on Keegan. "My..." She hesitated, not sure what to call him. "Friend." She said, only that didn't seem to quite cover it. "With benefits I guess." She laughed.

"You forgettin' someone Dahli?" Jack called from the couch, making her jaw clench a little at his use of the nickname. She didn't mind the nickname, but hated it on his lips. However, she forced herself to smirk, and gestured to her brother.

"That's Jack, my incredibly charming brother." She said, rolling her eyes bitterly before gesturing to the space next to him where Nathan had been. "And that was Nathan. Jack's best friend. They've been hanging together for about a year I think." She shrugged. "Jack, me, and Kenna live here. Nathan stays here sometimes, and Brandy does on occasion." She smirked.

"And this is Keegan, Kenna's brother." She announced to everyone before Tristin took one of her hands from his shoulder and pulled her around to sit on his lap, clearly possessive with Keegan around.

"Nice to meet ya Keegan." Tristin said, though it was clear from his tone that he was suspicious of him, making Dahlia roll her eyes as he wrapped his arms around her. "What do you say we go hang out in that hippie-shack of a room you've got? Maybe explore those 'benefits' you mentioned?" Tristin said, and Dahlia rolled her eyes and pulled herself from his grip.

She sat back in the seat she'd been in before and laughed. "Geez Tristin." She rolled her eyes and smirked. "You don't have to get all territorial because there's another man in the room." She chuckled. "Down boy."

Dahlia looked at Keegan with a smirk. "But, with this many people in and out of here all the time, it's kind of impossible not to have a party almost every night." She laughed, and it was true. When it was just the people she'd named, as it was almost every day and night, it was a party. And sometimes they invited other people, and those other people invited more people, and it quickly escalated until half the island was drunk and partying on their beach and in their house.

Dahl glanced around the house briefly, something occurring to her for the first time. "Hope you like the floor." Dahli said with a laugh. "My brother's got the couch and we don't have another bedroom."

“Last time I checked you don’t live here.” Kenna's boyfriend spat at him as he woke and slipped his pants on and Nate just shrugged and leaned back.

“Yeah and neither do you.” Kenna responded and Nathan smirked. She had a point.

Nathan watched as he walked close to Kennedy, looking her over before speaking to him while keeping his eyes on her. “Good luck dealing with her, I’d get out of the house while you can, the devils going to come out in her.” He said reffering to the obvious withdrawls Nate had already noticed before saying he had somewhere to be and kissing her, slipping out the door.

Nathan watched as she joined him in the room and bent purposefully over the bed, causing her t-shirt to slide up and reveal her panties, making him smirk as he leaned against the wall and smoked off his own joint while she lit one for herself.

His eyes were on her, but he didn't speak until she did again. “So I hear you can surf…pretty damn good.” She started and he smiled and shrugged. It was true. He was a pretty talented surfer. His mother used to do it competitively, so she'd taught him. However, he wasn't about to tell her that. As far as everyone in the house knew, his life was a mystery and he liked to keep it that way, he let people know he'd traveled a lot, but that was about it. “You good with your hands too?”

Nathan laughed lightly as he exhaled a puff of smoke. "Yeah." He said simply, knowing the question had multiple meanings. "Why?" He asked with a smirk. "You want to find out?" He raised his eyebrows at her, as though she was suggesting something sexual, though for all he knew, she wanted him to build, move, or fix something for her.

"Yeah." She smirked at his answer "Why? You want to find out?" He asked, though her face appeared emotionless as she shrugged at his question.

She took a drag of her joint looking away from him for a second, thinking of what she wanted to say to him, but the moment was quick as she glanced back to him with a smirk.

“Maybe I do” She said in a more serious tone, not bothering to hide the smirk on her face “But, then again…” she started as she stood up grabbing her bikini top from the floor turning her back to him as she took off the shirt, not bothered by the fact that he was right there, her bare back facing him as she slipped her bikini top on, tying it. “You seem like you’d get attached.” She teased having seen his interactions with random girls over the past year, having seen how detached he actually was.

She wrapped a towel around her waist, swapping her underwear for her swimsuit bottoms. Before dropping the towel, the swim suit hugging her body and complementing it perfectly.

“And I just don’t do commitment.” She winked. Letting him know she was kidding. The room was quite for a second as she collected her things for a long day out surfing.

When she finished she walked close enough to him there was only a sliver of space between them, she stole what was left of his joint taking a drag off of it, trying her best to ignore the energy the was obvious between them.

“Instead of wasting your time on all those inexperienced girl tonight, why don’t you let me show you a good time.” She whisper with a smirk.

Keegan watched her introducing everyone, like his sister had failed to do. He made assumptions of each of them. He really didn’t like any of them to be honest, he’d picked apart all of them and read their body language. Jack and Tristan were his biggest issues, but he held his tongue, when really he just wanted to tell them off, bat the shit out of them.

He watched Tristan and how territorial he was over D, he rolled his eyes. "But, with this many people in and out of here all the time, it's kind of impossible not to have a party almost every night." her voice brought him from his thoughts and he nodded his head in agreement with her. "Hope you like the floor. My brother's got the couch and we don't have another bedroom." Dahlia said as if she’d just realized there wasn’t enough room.

He let out a small chuckle shrugging “As appealing as the floor sounds, I’ve got a hamak.” She said finishing his pancakes. “I’d rather be outside under the stars, falling asleep to the sound of the waves.” He smirked.

Brandy looked at him “Are you gay?” she asked disappointment in her voice.

Keegan gave her a look, like she’d just asked the dumbest question he’d ever heard. He took a moment before answering letting out a sigh as if he was about to admit that her was actually Gay. He didn’t like this girl and he could tell she wasn’t very smart.

“Yeah, probably the gayest person you’ll ever meet.” He said in a false sad voice. She looked at him almost disgusted and he smirked. “I mean I’m surprised your gaydar didn’t break when I walked in the room.” He said sarcastically glancing to Dahlia and Tristan, it was obvious everyone knew he was kidding but Brandy.

“As appealing as the floor sounds, I’ve got a hamak.” He said as he took a final bite of his pancakes, and Dahlia smirked and shrugged. She'd half been hoping he'd kick Jack off the couch and Jack would be fed up enough to leave, but she knew that wouldn't happen. Jack was too dead-set on pissing Dahlia off to ever leave. He'd probably sleep out on the beach before he left. “I’d rather be outside under the stars, falling asleep to the sound of the waves.” He smirked and she laughed and raised her eyebrows.

"How poetic." She smirked as she leaned back and looked him over.

“Are you gay?” Brandy asked from behind her, disappointment clear in her voice, and Dahlia let out a short, loud laugh.

“Yeah, probably the gayest person you’ll ever meet.” He said, though his voice was fake, and Dahlia already knew there was no way he was gay based on the way he'd been flirting with her sense he'd showed up. Dahlia glanced up at Brandy, seeing the disgusted, and disappointed, look on her face. “I mean I’m surprised your gaydar didn’t break when I walked in the room.”

Dahlia chuckled lightly and rolled her eyes. "Don't worry Brandy, baby, there are plenty more men on the island that you can throw yourself at." She chuckled. "You're not desperate enough to try and change gays. At least not yet. Keep going at the rate you're going though, and you'll be out of guys by the end of the week."

Dahl glanced at Brandy. She looked pissed. "Calm down Bee." D said, standing and patting her shoulder as she collected dirty plates and went into the kitchen, tossing them in the sink. "We're joking. He's not gay." She glanced at Keegan with a smirk as she came back to stand next to the table. "His eyes have been following me around too much for that." She said confidently as she turned and went towards her room to change, leaving them standing there.

Dahlia's room was exactly as Tristin had described it. A hippie shack. As if you couldn't tell from just the outside. There were multicolored beads hanging in her doorway, and her door had a large poster of a snarling tiger on it. Inside, three of her four walls were a bright aqua color and were decorated from ceiling to floor with black henna patterns she'd painted herself. The third wall was one giant, brightly colored, tie-dye spiral. All four of the walls were covered in colorful posters and tapestries, and her ceiling was strung with hanging Christmas lights all the way across. Her bed was a waterbed with a thick white comforter, white pillows, a sheer white canopy, and a thinner Indian tapestry over the comforter.

She'd ripped off the doors to her small walk-in closet, and replaced them with curtains. Along the walls, on the floor, were multiple different guitars, of all kinds, most of them decorated the same way her walls were, with intricate hippie designs she'd painted herself.

Dahlia went into her closet and picked a loose, low-backed, aqua tank top she was always having to readjust because the strap never stayed on her small shoulder, and a pair of destroyed shorts before grabbing an aqua bikini top and black bikini bottoms and slipping out of the room, back into the living room briefly, disappearing into the bathroom.

Dahl showered quickly and dressed, her bikini under her clothes, as always. Living on Hawaii with her own private beach, she'd gotten used to not needing to wear a bra and underwear much. She was always wearing a bathing suit under her clothes.

She shook out her wet hair before heading back into the living room and plopping down on the couch next to Jack. "I think that's more clothes than I've seen you wear all your life." Jack smirked next to her, and she rolled her eyes and stood, not feeling like dealing with his shit.

"What can I say?" She said, shrugging and glancing at Keegan. "I felt the need to dress up for our guest." She teased as she went over to the stero and flipped off the morning mix, popping in one of her own mixes and going to sit on one of the chairs as the familiar Red Hot Chili Peppers song played.

“Maybe I do.” Kennedy said, and Nathan matched her smirk with his own. “But, then again…” She said as she stood and turned, slipping off her shirt, bare back to him. He kept his face passive, but his eyes on her. “You seem like you’d get attached.” She teased and he rolled his eyes.

Nathan was the last person to get attached. He had a strict love-em and leave-em policy that he lived by. He never even committed to one town for very long, let alone a person. He'd been in Hawaii for a year. The longest he'd stayed in one place since his father had gone to jail, and no one knew that the real reason he'd been around for so long was not because he liked the place. It was because of Krista. His sister. He had to figure out what he was going to do about getting her away from his father without getting her hurt and without having to adopt her.

He loved Krista, but he was hardly able to be responsible for himself, let alone a fourteen year-old girl. She wouldn't fit into his lifestyle. It was too dangerous for her, and he didn't want her slipping into the things he was into. So no, taking custody of her was not an option, but maybe he could find someone who could take care of her.

She wrapped a towel around her waist, swapping her underwear for her swimsuit bottoms. Before dropping the towel, the swim suit hugging her body and complementing it perfectly.

“And I just don’t do commitment.” Kennedy said, drawing his attention from his thoughts of Krista and back to her, watching silently as she collected her things for surfing before coming over to him, a sliver of space between them. It took all he had not to shiver and keep his face cool, and he did his best to hide the clear heat that passed between them.

“Instead of wasting your time on all those inexperienced girl tonight, why don’t you let me show you a good time?” She smirked as she took the last of his joint from him, and Nathan smirked back at her and shrugged lightly.

"Normally I like a girl I have to chase a little." He said, as he looked her up and down, letting his eyes linger before coming back to her face. "But in your case, I think I can make an exception." He chuckled. "Sounds like a plan." He said with a wicked smile before gesturing to the door. "Don't let me keep you from the waves."

"Normally I like a girl I have to chase a little." he started as his eye wondered over her body causing her to smirk "But in your case, I think I can make an exception." she raised a brow. "Sounds like a plan. Don't let me keep you from the waves." she rolled her eyes.

She took a step back sighing “What makes you think you’re not going to have to chase me?” she asked keeping her eyes on him “I may be trashy Nate, but that doesn’t make me easy.” She said honestly, before heading towards the door, she stopped turning back to face him. “By the way, don’t flatter yourself…” she said with a smirk “You not important enough to keep me from the waves.” She said blowing him a kiss before disappearing from the room completely.

She made her way down the hallway, seeing everyone still in the living room. She rolled her eyes at the way Brandy was sitting so close to her brother, Brandy was her friends sure, but she didn’t exactly like the girl, she put up with her because she’d known her since high school and as far as she knew Dahli and her got along fairly well. She walked into the kitchen, feeling up her water bottle, she ruffled Keegan’s hair as she walked by. No one ever asked where Kenna was going, they knew it wasn’t unusual for her to spend several hours surfing, sometimes not coming in until two or three in the morning.

She headed out the front door, grabbing her surfboard from the side of the house. She’d spent thousands of dollars from the money she had inherited from her father, to have a board custom designed and made to fit her body. She followed the path to the beach, it was a perfect day to surf, the waves were just right.

She waxed her surfboard, leaving her things on the beach as she head out to the ocean, that honestly felt more like home to her than anywhere else. She secured the Velcro strap around her ankle before feeling someone grab her wrist rough enough, she knew it’d bruise, not that it was all that hard to bruise her. She turned to see Austen standing their obviously angry with her, she simply smirked making an attempt to pull away, but it was no use.

“What the fuck was that this morning Kenna?” he said in a low angry tone, she shrugged as if she had no idea what he was talking about. “You’re not pushing me away this time.” He said roughly.

“Watch me.” She taunted, she felt him loosen her girp causing her to pull away instinctively, quickly heading out into the ocean .

“Kennedy!” he called after her but his voice was lost in the waves.

“We're joking. He's not gay." He smirked, hiding his irritation with the girl "His eyes have been following me around too much for that." Keegan laughed and shrugged.

“Can’t help it.” He said simply “I like the view.” He said watching her head from the room before getting up from his seat and taking his plate to the kitchen.

He sighed as he sat down on the couch, keeping his eyes on his phone as he text Lilo a few messages giving her the address. He hadn’t seen her besides their occasional conversation on Skype, in about five years. He felt someone ruffle his hair causing him to look up just in time to see Kennedy slip out the door, the same time Dahlia walked back into the room dressed and fresh out of the shower.

"I think that's more clothes than I've seen you wear all your life." he heard Jack say but he looked back down to his phone as if he wasn’t interested in the conversation.

"What can I say? I felt the need to dress up for our guest." he smirked when she said that, but he still kept his eyes on his phone.

“No need to dress up for me. I’d prefer to see you out of your cloths in all honesty.” He said finally glancing up at her, ignoring the presence of her brother who sat right next to her.

Keegan was always forward he didn’t feel the need to dance around obvious things. He stood up, shoving his phone into his pocket. He could feel himself coming down from his high and as much as he wanted to stick around and talk D out of her cloths, he knew his temper would flare up until he took a hit of something, especially with the fact he didn’t really care for Jack.

“I’d love to stay and lounge around like your lazy ass.” He glanced to Jack with a smirk, but I have a bedroom to set up outside.” He said as he headed towards the door, grabbing his backpack.

“Need any help?” Brandy asked hopeful standing up like she already knew what his answer would be.

“No thanks, wouldn’t want you to break a nail.” He said sternly, though still light enough to pass for playful sarcasm.

He pushed the screen door open as he headed outside taking the porch steps two at a time, glancing around, figuring out where to set up his hamak. He walked around the side of the house, spotting two palm trees. He walked over setting his bag down pulling the hamak from it as he tied it between the trees. He grabbed a bottle of pills from his bag pooping a few before hopping up into the hamak, making himself comfortable.

“No need to dress up for me. I’d prefer to see you out of your cloths in all honesty.” Keegan said, glancing at her, and Dahlia smirked at his boldness, flicking her eyes to Tristin, who seemed to be prickling. It was obvious Tristin was going to have serious issues with Keegan, and already, Dahlia liked that. There was no game more fun to play than pitting two guys against each other.

“I’d love to stay and lounge around like your lazy ass.” Keegan said as he stood, making her laugh. Anyone who verbally abused Jack was someone she liked. "But I have a bedroom to set up outside.” Dahlia watched him move towards the door, a smirk on her lips.

“Need any help?” Brandy asked, jumping up like toast from a toaster, and Dahlia rolled her eyes. It was a wonder Brandy even got anyone at all. Kennedy and D were trashy, and they slept around a lot, but Brandy was a whole other level of trashy. She practically threw herself at men, and somehow, it worked.

“No thanks, wouldn’t want you to break a nail.” Keegan responded, and she had to swallow a laugh at the hurt look on Brandy's face.

"Cheer up doll." Dahlia said to her as Keegan slipped from the room. "You can try again tonight at the party."

Brandy just shrugged and sat back down, picking at her nails. Next to her, Jack was laying bills out in piles on the coffee table, and she winced, thinking about the way he'd probably earned them, standing abruptly. Tristin looked at her, confused and she gestured to her room. "I'm just.." She stuttered before turning to slip into her room.

However, Tristin had crossed the room and grabbed her wrist before she could, turning her to face him. "What's up?" He asked, looking concerned, like he could tell something was wrong with her, and she yanked her wrist roughly from his hand. She wasn't about to tell him why she was upset, and there was no way in hell she was doing it in front of a roomful of people, so she rolled her eyes and glanced at Jack, who grinned up at her wickedly.

"Nothing, I'm just going to do some playing." She said with a shrug, flipping off the stero and slipping into her room, slamming the door behind her, rattling the beads.

Inside, she let out a deep breath and glanced around the room briefly before going to the window, throwing it open. Keegan was out there, a little ways from the house, lounging in his hamak, and Dahlia smirked and leaned on her window sill, watching him for a second. "Looks like we're neighbors." She laughed lightly before disappearing in her room and grabbing one of her guitars, sitting on her bed, crossing her legs.

She waited briefly for it to settle before settling in, playing a familiar song on the strings, singing the words, her voice deep and throaty, but yet still light and feminine, able to hit both the high notes, and the low ones with ease.

“What makes you think you’re not going to have to chase me?” She asked, making him smile. “I may be trashy Nate, but that doesn’t make me easy.” She said and he shrugged lightly as she pulled away and went for the door, turning back to look at him. “By the way, don’t flatter yourself…” She said with a smirk. “You're not important enough to keep me from the waves.”

Nathan laughed lightly and shrugged casually as she slipped out the door. He stood there for a second before leaving the room after her, just in time to catch her slipping out the door. He sighed as he watched her go, thinking of the heat he'd felt when she'd stood so close to him and rolling his eyes.

Dahlia stood then, suddenly and went towards her room, and Nathan took the oppertunity to reclaim his seat next to Jack on the couch. "Looks like you've got eyes for K." Jack smirked, and Nathan rolled his eyes and shrugged.

"She's hot." He said with a chuckled, but Jack shook his head.

"Nah, it's more than that. I can tell man."

Nate nudged him roughly with his elbow, telling him to shut up, yet keeping it from being too painful. However, he was right. He could tell just by whatever had passed between them in the room that he was going to have to be careful. That Kenna would trap him if he wasn't.

However, Nate wasn't worried. He was an expert at leaving girls, and Kenna would be no different. Nathan sighed and took out a cigarette, inhaling the smoke before exhaling it with another deep sigh. He should really slip out and call his sister, so he stood and left the house, heading out the back door.

Outside, he slipped quickly into the trees and headed down the path that lead to the beach. There'd be no one out there to hear him but Kennedy, but she'd be in the water so he could sit and watch her surf as he talked to Krista.

However, when he got out there he found that Kennedy was in the water, but there was also a guy standing on the beach. The one he'd kicked out earlier.

Nathan rolled his eyes, irritated, but kept walking, right past the guy, until he was on the small dock, out over the water. He walked to the end and sat down, hanging his legs over the edge as he pulled out his phone and called his father's number, praying that his dad wouldn't pick up.

Kennedy was pissed beyond belief at the way Austen acted like he owned her, like they were actually together. She always surfed better when she had a lot on her mind, it was the only way she could sort out her thoughts without taking them out on someone else and seriously hurting them. She paddled out taking her first wave with perfect posture, riding it all the way back in to the shore and quickly paddling back out before Austen could protest.

She rode wave after wave like a pro, her posture perfect as if every wave she caught was for a score and she was competing and if she was, she’d win no question about it. She glanced to the doc seeing Nathan, wondering why he’d followed her out there, then again, she was almost positive he hadn’t come out there for her, then she noticed he’d been on the phone and she suddenly felt her stomach twist.

She was supposed to call Charlie, how could she have been so selfish. She cursed under hear breath as she rode the next wave in. She was always selfish, until it came to her little sister, then she was another person entirely. She picked up her surfboard and threw it down next to her stuff digging through her small beach bag grabbing her phone, dialing her sister’s number, no answer meant she was mad at Kennedy and she had every right to be.

“Fuck.” She breathed, sighing as she threw her phone back into her bag. Kennedy was the only person that really took care of Charlie, she always had and when she didn’t call her, Charlie knew it was because Kennedy was drunk or high. Kennedy sat down beside her surfboard, the sand sticking to her wet body like a magnet.

“Finally decide to talk?” Austen’s said sitting next to her.

She felt her anger rise “Austen, seriously not in the mood for your shit…fuck off.” She said raising her voice, knowing no one other than Nathan was out there and she could care less if he heard.

“Your never in the mood Kenna.” Austen said irritated “Get your act together or you’re never going to get your sister out of there.” He said standing up and walking away before Kennedy had the chance to punch him, like she would have if he hadn’t left. Normally she would have chased after him and beat the shit out of him for a comment like that, but she was too pissed at herself to try and be mad at someone else.

She glanced up to were Nathan was hoping he hadn’t heard there conversation, she doubted he had seeing he was at the end of the doc. She didn’t like people knowing about her situation with trying to adopt her sister, Austen had only found out because he’d been snooping on Kennedy’s phone when they were actually together and she absolutely hated that he knew. She also wondered who Nate was talking to, not that it really mattered to her.

Keegan let the pills he’d taken relax his body, they weren’t anything strong, they were just meant to relax him and keep him from killing Jack or hurting Brandy. Something to keep his mind off of the fact that he didn’t have any drugs at the moment, but he knew that would change when Lilo came, she was bringing him what he need to turn him to what had become his normal self.

"Looks like we're neighbors." he heard her voice causing him to smirk. He glanced up seeing her in the window watching him, although to her it would appear he hadn’t moved.

He watched as she disappeared back into the room and he closed his eyes continuing to enjoy the fact that he was back home, Kennedy was safe, and Dahlia was his new challenge. He let out a sighed, glancing to see Nathan walking the same path he’d watched Kennedy disappear into. He wasn’t exactly okay with that idea, he wondered briefly if they had something going on, then he remembered D saying something about Kennedy’s on again off again boyfriend and it wasn’t him, it had been someone else.

He was brought from his thoughts when he heard a voice coming from Dahlia’s room and for a moment he thought it was the radio, her voice was beautiful. He hopped out of the hamak and made his way curiously to the window, leaning against it, sticking his head in and smirking when he saw the voice was coming from her.

“You going to sing me to sleep at night.” he flirted “I mean after all it would be the neighborly thing to do.” He laughed lightly.

He effortlessly lifted himself off the ground, until he was sitting with his back lend in the window, on leg hanging out the other side, the other pulled to his chest. He lit a cigarette and took a drag off it watching her for a moment, hoping she wouldn’t stop because of his interruption.

“You going to sing me to sleep at night?” Dahlia glanced up to see that Keegan was at her window, however, she just smirked at him and kept playing. “I mean after all it would be the neighborly thing to do.”

She watched him lift himself to sit in her window sill, smoking a cigarette and listening. She smiled at him. "This is one of my favorites." She said, though she didn't stop, just glided easily into the next song, her voice shifting from high and whispy to lower and a little more raspy. She wasn't afraid to share her singing. There were times when she was emotional, and she just wanted to play by herself and be alone, but if she'd wanted that, she wouldn't have thrown her window open. She didn't have stage fright, or was afraid he wouldn't like her voice. She knew she was good, and performed often. Dahlia's playing was how her and Kenna got most of their money.

Dahlia smiled at Keegan briefly as she sang. It was obvious she was different with a guitar on her lap. She may not be sitting there, telling Keegan her life story, but there was emotion and honesty in her voice, and she wasn't afraid to share songs that meant something to her.

When the song ended, she sighed softly, sitting there for a second before swinging the guitar off her lap and onto the floor. She pulled her legs up onto the bed, crossing them, as she leaned back on her hands and looked him over. "So." She said casually. "If you don't mind me asking..." She started. "What's your story?" She smirked. "Where've you been, and what brought you home?"

Dahlia said the words with a smirk, but the tone of her voice made it clear she understood if he didn't want to talk about it. She herself didn't like to share her past with people. Even Kennedy didn't know everything. She knew more than most, but she didn't know all the dark details. So, she was curious, but she wasn't going to make someone tell her their story if they didn't want to.

She glanced at Keegan, looking him over. "How old are you?" She asked, wondering. He didn't seem too much older than Kennedy, and he wondered if he'd be surprised to find out she was a minor. People she met in town were always thinking she was younger than she really was because of her petite form and wide eyes, but people who'd been to her parties were always shocked to find out that she wasn't even eighteen. She wondered if the same went for him. If he looked younger than he really was.

"Hello?" Nathan winced at the sound of his father's voice. He sounded drunk, and Nate rolled his eyes. He was drunk already? It was way too early to be drunk.

"Hi, is Krista there?" He asked, conveniently leaving out who he was. His father hated him, and he knew if his father found out he was calling to talk to Krista, his father would easily figure out that he still cared about his little sister, and that would give his father power over him. He didn't want his father to hurt Krista because of him.

"You want Krista?" He slurred. "Who is this?"

In the background, Nathan could hear Krista. "It's for me?" He heard her voice, and then there was a scuffling noise, and a slapping sound, then finally, footsteps before she spoke again. "Hi Nate! It's me!" She said, sounding out of breath and excited.

"You didn't fight him for the phone did you?" Nathan groaned and rolled his eyes. Krista was so much like their mother. Not afraid of their father, even though she should be.

"Yeah, I grabbed it from him, and he slapped me, so I ran away." She said nonchalantly, as if it was an everyday thing, and Nate winced. He really had to get her out of there. "I'm okay now though." She said, reassuringly, as though she knew he'd be worried about her. "I'm in my room. I bought a lock last week and I have the only key, so he can't get in." Nathan breathed a sigh of relief, happy that she had put a lock on her door.

"I'm sorry I haven't come and seen you in a while." He sighed, glancing at the waves, watching as Kennedy rode them effortlessly. "I've been busy." He lied. "Trying to get us a place before I get you out of there." He lied, again. She thought he was going to try and take custody of her and she would live with him, and he didn't have the heart to tell her otherwise. He hadn't been to see her in a while because he couldn't figure out a way to go see her without their father catching him.

He kept her in the house almost all the time, and now that it was summer, he couldn't pick her up from school or anything like that. He would have to go to the house to see her. "It's okay, I understand." She said honestly and he sighed with relief. "But I do miss you Nate!"

Behind him, on the beach, he could hear yelling, and he glanced back to see Kenna on the beach with the guys she'd called her boyfriend. "Look, honey." He said into the phone. "I just called to check up on you and make sure things are okay. I have to go now. I'll call you again tonight though, I promise."

"Alright! Love you Nate!" She said, sounding disappointed, but happy that he'd call her later.

"Alright, love you too Krissy. Stay by the phone if you can, and don't confront dad like that again." He said gently before hanging up and letting out a deep sigh, walking back up the dock to Kennedy on the beach. He gestured to the place her boyfriend had stalked off.

"Trouble in paradise?" He asked with a smirk, looking down at her.

Kennedy knew Austen was right, but she’d never admit that. She wouldn’t do her sister an good to get her out of one dysfunctional house and bring her to another, the only difference is, her sister would be taken care of and loved, not neglected and controlled. Then again, having to take care of her sister might actually make her grow up and she had to admit she didn’t know if she was ready for that.

"Trouble in paradise?" she didn’t have to look up to know who it was.

She scoffed at his comment, sure they lived in what everyone referred to as paradise but her relationship with Austen or anyone for that matter was the opposite of paradise.

“Listen pretty boy, I don’t need your input to alright.” She said harshly, not caring that it had come out harsher than she meant it to. “Don’t you have somewhere else to be?” she said finally looking up at him. “Like a girlfriend or something.” She said gesturing to his phone that was still in his hand. “Boyfriend maybe?” she smirked.

She stood up dusting the sand off of her, trying to look busy hoping maybe he’d go away. Although in all honesty, she kind of liked having him there, the energy she felt between them she kind of liked feeling it even though she was convinced by now it was nothing more than sexual tension. She glanced back to him seeing he still hadn’t left and she smirked.

“Need a fix?” she asked casually “I could use some company at the least.” She shrugged, highly doubting he’d join her, simply because he always seemed to be attached to Jacks hip.

Then again she almost hoped he’d say no, she didn’t know what it was about him, but she knew it was bad in the best kind of way. He was different than other guys, he didn’t get attached, he was clear what his intentions were and she was exactly the same way. She knew both of them together could be a recipe for disaster, she knew that she’d get attached him, there was just something about him that she couldn’t explain.

"This is one of my favorites." he smirked glad she hadn’t stopped playing just cause he’d decided to impose and make himself comfortable.

He knew the song well, although the way she sang it, it was like hearing it for the first time. Her voice was amazing. He caught himself watching her, she was absolutely beautiful. He quickly shook the growing feelings, he pushed them far from his thoughts. He’d just hurt her if anything became of them and she didn’t deserve that, he wouldn’t just hurt her, he’d crush her and leave her to pick up the pieces like he’d done with every other girl he’d ever been with.

"So." his thoughts were interrupted and he hadn’t realized she’d stopped singing until she spoke to him "If you don't mind me asking... What's your story?" he took a drag off his cigarette, not bothered by the question, he couldn’t count the number of times he’d been asked that very question "Where've you been, and what brought you home?" she asked. He opened his mouth to speak but paused when she asked yet another question "How old are you?" he smirked.

“You’re more straight forward then my last interrogation.” He laughed all though the stamen held truth “You mean to tell me Kennedy has already spilled everything?” he said with a smirk.

He figured if Kennedy hadn’t told her about their past or she didn’t already know, she hadn’t lived here her whole life, because there family was pretty famous, due to their mothers four year murder case, that eventually ended in her getting off on claim of self-defense. He sighed as she flicked the bud of his cigarette out the widow before glancing back to her.

“Dad died, mom turned into a massive whore…Kennedy raised out little sister, I went to college, got into some trouble in California, came home to find Kennedy living with a beautiful roommate.” He said shrugging like it was no big deal “I mean if you want the long story, I could bore you for hours, but I'm not sure Kennedy would be too happy with me airing our dirty laundry.” he glanced out the window for a moment in the direction his sister had gone “And I’m twenty two…why do I look old or something?” he said glancing back to her.

"What about you?" he asked casually "How'd you end up here? with that ass of a brother." he said not trying to hide the fact he didn't like him.

“You’re more straight forward then my last interrogation.” He laughed and she shrugged. It was true. She was always getting herself into trouble by shooting her mouth off and asking questions people generally didn't like answering. “You mean to tell me Kennedy has already spilled everything?” he said with a smirk. Again she shrugged. Kenna had told her parts of her life, and Dahl had lived with her for a little while before they'd moved out, so she knew her horror show of a mother, but she was interested to hear his side of the story.

She watched as he flicked his cigarette away before turning to her. “Dad died, mom turned into a massive whore…Kennedy raised out little sister, I went to college, got into some trouble in California, came home to find Kennedy living with a beautiful roommate.” He said with a casual shrug. “I mean if you want the long story, I could bore you for hours, but I'm not sure Kennedy would be too happy with me airing our dirty laundry.” He glanced at the path that lead to the beach before looking at her again. “And I’m twenty two…why do I look old or something?” he said, answering her second question.

"What about you?" He asked casually. "How'd you end up here? With that ass of a brother."

Dahlia smirked at his remark about Jack, but sighed at his other question, running her fingers through her hair, thinking of the best way to answer it. She didn't want to answer, but he had answered her, no matter how generic his answer had been so she just shrugged.

"No, you don't look old." She laughed lightly. "Where I've been doesn't matter, but sense you answered me..." She started, looking down at her hands before leaning back on them again and looking up at him. "I didn't grow up here, though I'm sure you've already guessed that." She shrugged. "I grew up in New York." She smirked. "If the Big Apple doesn't make you tough, I don't know what will." She chuckled. "Anyway, the short version is that I killed my dad, and my stupid mom was only holding me down, so I emancipated myself at fifteen." She shrugged like it was normal, though she knew it wasn't. "I moved out here then and moved in with Kenna for a bit, sorry about your mom by the way." She said. "Then we moved out. Tristin followed me from New York, and so did Jack." She shrugged like she'd just tole him the sky was blue.

Nathan chuckled at her scoff. Clearly, despite the fact that he was her boyfriend, she didn't think what they had was worthy of being called "paradise", and he tried not to be too happy about that. “Listen pretty boy, I don’t need your input too alright.” She spat, and he held up his hands in defense, about to make some wise ass comment about her thinking he was "pretty" when she spoke again. “Don’t you have somewhere else to be?” She said, and he knit his brows. He never had anywhere to be. “Like a girlfriend or something?” She gestured to his phone, and he laughed, amused that she thought he'd been talking to a girlfriend on the phone. “Boyfriend maybe?”

He watched as she stood to gather her things, clearly trying to look busy so he would go away, but he just stood there, watching her. “Need a fix?” she asked casually “I could use some company at the least.”

Nathan laughed lightly. "I knew you'd come around. Yeah, that sounds fun." He said with a smirk. "I don't have a girlfriend by the way." He said as he slipped away his phone. "Not that it's really your business. Just thought I'd keep you from getting too jealous."

"I knew you'd come around. Yeah, that sounds fun." she scoffed, rolling her eyes as she walked towards, keep her eyes straight ahead, not bothering to look back to see if he was following "I don't have a girlfriend by the way." she pretended like she didn’t care, but she was actually kind of happy that he’d made a point to say he didn’t have a girlfriend "Not that it's really your business. Just thought I'd keep you from getting too jealous." she laughed at his comment about her being jealous although it was more of a mocking laugh.

“Even if you had a girlfriend…if I really wanted to fuck you I would.” She said simply “But don’t get excited…I said if I wanted to, not that I do want to.” She said making herself perfectly clear as she followed the path back towards the house.

She saw her brother had already made himself comfortable in her friends window and she rolled her eyes, she already knew that was coming. Dahlia was really pretty and she knew her brother well enough to know that her rough, bad girl attitude was exactly his type and eventually they’d end up at the least having sex.

She made her way into the house, pushing the screen door open, seeing Austen at the table, she rolled her eyes shooting him a look that said, come near me, I’ll murder you. But the look he’d returned her, he caught he drift and stayed sitting next to Jack, though he glared at Nathan as he followed behind her.

“Kennedy, what the fuck.” He yelled after her.

She grabbed Nathan’s arm pulling him in front of her, before roughly shoving him into her room with a smirk. Shutting the door behind her and locking it. Her room was the opposite of Dahlia’s in decoration; it was less hippy and more Rastafarian. Like Dahlia she’d ripped off her closet doors only she’d replaced them with beads. Her walls were all painted different colors to match the Rastafarian flag, the wall her beds side was pushed up against red, the wall her door was on green, and the two walls across from each other yellow. The red wall leading out of her room covered with posters and original vinyl records of classic bands, most of wich were from her father. The yellow wall opposite, the yellow closet wall having a large sugar skull painting Dahlia had done for her when they first moved in.

Kennedy dropped her stuff in her closet, grabbing a black ripped up Guns and Roses shirt slipping it over her bikini top, it being a little longer on her coving her bottoms, making it look like all she had on was the shirt. She popped a CD in her personal stereo, wanting to drown out everything outside her bedroom, like she normally did when she got high. The familiar harmonica in the song floating through the room loudly as the song started to play.

“I don’t do any of that pussy shit…like Jack.” She smirked wickedly as she rummaged through the drawer of her nightstand grabbing a few needles and the drug. “Hope you can handle it.” She said sitting down as she started to get the needles ready. “By the way.” She glanced up to him with a smirk “By the way, if my brother catches you in here with me...doing anything…your done for.” She winked.

He listened as she explained her situation, he respected her, because although they didn’t have a lot in common, they were from similar and tragic backgrounds. He shrugged as she mentioned his mother, because in all honesty he’d become numb to his past years ago, he’d let go of it, for the most part, but maybe that was because he’d never actually talked about it.

“So you killed your dad.” He smirked “That’s sexy…I’m sure he deserved it.” He said matching her normalness, he had quite a sinister mind and his thoughts were always darker than he’d liked them to be, but it was something he couldn’t help. “No offense or anything, but that brother of yours is a real piece of work.” He sighed.

He was abusive when it came to women and he was a smartass, but for some reason, guys like Jack had more of an agenda then simply abusing a girl, not that he was any better. There was just something about him, that was really off putting about him.

“So that party tonight…you got a date.” He smirked “I need some pretty arm candy to show me around.” He teased.

He really didn't want to be stuck with Brandy trying to throw herself at him, he was scared he might actually hurt her. But, if Dahlia did say no, not that it'd really be a date. But, he could always settle for going with Lilo and more than likely hooking up with her, even though the thought of hooking up with D, seemed a little more exciting.

“So you killed your dad.” He smirked and she kept her face passive, though she really wanted to flinch at the memory. “That’s sexy…I’m sure he deserved it.” He said and she smirked. Her father had more than deserved it, and she had to say she liked the way Keegan thought. It was dark, but she'd never really been one for guys who always thought, said, and did the right things. “No offense or anything, but that brother of yours is a real piece of work.” He sighed and she shrugged. It was true, Jack was an asshole and almost no one liked him. She was shocked Nathan could stand hanging around him like he did.

“So that party tonight… You got a date?” He smirked and she laughed. “I need some pretty arm candy to show me around.”

Dahlia chuckled and rolled her eyes. "First of all, I'm no one's arm candy, but hanging out with you sounds better than hanging out with Tristin." She smirked. "Second of all, make all the comments about Jack you want. I hate him." She said. Jack was the reason she had a lock on her door, a knife sitting on her nightstand, and a gun not three feet from her under her pillow.

Kennedy's room shared a wall with hers, so when her friend flipped on her music loudly, Dahlia could hear it, and she recognized it instantly as her drug music. She glanced at Keegan briefly before standing and slipping into her closet. In the back, on the wall, was a large bookcase with rows and rows of records, cds, and mixes. She pulled one of the records down and went back into the room.

Dahlia held it up and jerked her head towards the wall her room shared with Kennedy's. "We can hang out here and drown out her music with some of my own..." She said, grabbing a bottle of pills and a bottle of vodka from the nightstand. "Or we can head down to the beach, or explore the palm forest some." She said with a smirk, instantly thinking of various paths through the trees she'd explored in the past. "It's up to you, but there's vodka and drugs involved any way we go."

“Even if you had a girlfriend…if I really wanted to fuck you I would.” She said simply and Nate smirked. “But don’t get excited…I said if I wanted to, not that I do want to.” She said as she turned and went back up the path towards the house and he fell into step behind her, following her.

They passed her brother propped in the window, and Austen in the kitchen, who shouted after her before she grabbed him roughly and pushed him into her room and closed the door. He smirked and sat on the edge of her bed, watching as she slipped a shirt on over her swimsuit and flipped on music. He had to say. She had a good taste in music.

“I don’t do any of that pussy shit…like Jack.” She said with a wicked smirk, and he laughed lightly, watching her get the drug ready. “Hope you can handle it.” She said, sitting next to him and he rolled his eyes. Whatever she had, he'd probably done worse. He' been in the hospital for O.D's three times in the last year alone. “By the way.” She said with a smirk. “If my brother catches you in here with me...doing anything…you're done for.”

Nathan laughed. "Don't worry baby." He said with a smirk. "I'm not afraid." He shrugged, leaning back a little on the bed. "Of your drugs or your brother." He laughed lightly. "Besides, from what I could tell, he was pretty preoccupied with your friend."

"Don't worry baby. I'm not afraid." she glanced to him raising a brow "Of your drugs or your brother." she smirked as he continued "Besides, from what I could tell, he was pretty preoccupied with your friend." she rolled her eyes knowing he was right.

“You should be afraid…but not of my brother or my drugs.” She smirked moving closer to him as she grabbed his arm, wrapping a tourniquet around his bicep.

Her drugs were always laced, she was the one who did it, she’d learned to lace her drugs a few years a back and she’d been doing it ever since. Her drugs were ten times stronger than they should be and felt a hundred times better than they did without being laced. She ran her fingers over the inside of his elbow where she’d be sticking the needle. She felt sparks of electricity when her skin touched his, but she showed no sign of it, although she could clearly feel it.

“You should be scared of me.” She whispered as she stuck the needle into his skin, injecting the liquid.

She took the second needle grabbing the tourniquet from his arm and tying it around her own, before injecting the drug into her own body. It was like liquid fire running through her veins, it felt almost as good as her skin had felt against his. Her breathing started to slow and everything seemed more clear, yet everything started to slow down, even the beat of the new song that was playing seemed to slow, making it seem even darker and creepier. She reached up pulling the dark sheet over her window causing it to become extremely dark in the room, the soft lighting of the candles she kept lit almost 24/7.

She lend in dangerously close to him once again feeling the heat and energy between them. The darkness of her room allowing her to see a little more than a silhouette. She raised her index finger to his lips as if to tell him, don’t talk and ruin the moment. She lend in kissing his lips, immediately feeling electricity between them and the heat that rose from her neck to her cheeks, it was something she’d never felt with any other guy she’d been with not even Austen. She pulled away as if knowing there was no turning back.

"First of all, I'm no one's arm candy, but hanging out with you sounds better than hanging out with Tristin." he nodded understanding her "Second of all, make all the comments about Jack you want. I hate him." he laughed

“Glad I have your blessing to insult him.” he smirked before hearing the loud music next door and feeling the vibration of the music against his back.

Dahlia didn’t seemed to mind Kenna’s loud music and he didn’t mind it either. "We can hang out here and drown out her music with some of my own..." he watched as she grabbed a bottle of pills and a vodka bottle "Or we can head down to the beach, or explore the palm forest some." She offered different spots for them to go but in all honesty he liked the idea of being in her room with her. "It's up to you, but there's vodka and drugs involved any way we go." she finally finished.

He smirked “I think drowning out her music takes the cake.” He said hopping out of the widow “Wait here, let me grab my contribution.”[/b] he said disappearing as he jogged over to his bag gabbing a few of his pill bottles he still had from California, before jogging back.

With one arm he effortlessly vaulted through her window, dropping the pills on her bed, before glancing up to her.

“Shall we play a game of skittles.” He said darkly as if challenging her. Skittles was a popular game he use to play with his friends, mixing pills together and taking them, hoping they didn’t die, it was almost a Russian Roulette, with the pills Keegan supplied. He glanced to the bottle of Vodka “Straight Vodka and Skittles…hope you don’t have any last wishes.” He smirked.

He heard the familiar beat of a darker song coming from his sisters room and he knit his eyebrows in confusions.

“Mouse listens to Manson?” he asked almost not able to believe it, though realizing he’d called Kennedy by a nickname no one here had probably ever heard. He shrugged not really expecting an answer “We gonna get this thing started or what? What’d do you got to drown her stuff out?”

“I think drowning out her music takes the cake.” He said and she laughed as he hopped down from the window. “Wait here, let me grab my contribution.” He said and she watched him jog off before returning and slipping back in her window. Silently, she wondered if him slipping in her window to do drugs and drink with her was going to be a common occurrence.

She tossed his pills on her bed and she glanced down at them before back up at him, an impressed smirk on her lips as she tossed her own bottle down, adding them to the mix. “Shall we play a game of skittles?” He asked and she looked down at the pile of pills, raising her eyebrows. “Straight Vodka and Skittles…hope you don’t have any last wishes.” He smirked.

It was dangerous, but Dahlia had never been one to shy away from danger. She was actually the one throwing herself head first into danger all the time, and Kenna was usually the one who had to pull her back.

“Mouse listens to Manson?” Keegan asked, pulling her from her thoughts, and she looked at him, confused about who he was talking about before she noticed the music coming from K's room and realized that "Mouse" must be his nickname for her. “We gonna get this thing started or what? What’d do you got to drown her stuff out?”

"Don't worry, I'm not afraid." Dahlia smirked and tossed the vodka on the bed before slipping into her closet again, going through her records, cds, and mixes. She bit her lip and tilted her head. Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Bush... She ran her finger along the spines before grabbing one of her mixes that had a little bit of everything.

She popped it in and turned it up loud enough to cover Kennedy's dark song with her own music. She turned back to Keegan with a smirk, sitting on the bed and opening the bottle, taking a long drink. "If you don't like it, you can either keep it to yourself, or get out." She said with a soft laugh as she took another drink.

They were getting the party going a little early, but it didn't really matter. There was rarely a second of the day that Dahl wasn't high or strung out or drunk.

“You should be afraid…but not of my brother or my drugs.” Kennedy smirked as she wrapped a tourniquet around his arm to make his vein more noticeable. He smirked back and watched her as she ran her fingers lightly along his arm, causing his skin to tingle in a way he'd never felt before and he had to check to make sure she hadn't put in the drugs yet.

“You should be scared of me.” She whispered in a way that made him want to shiver, though he held it back and kept his face cool as she injected him with her drugs. Nate could tell right away that her stuff was laced simply by the way it felt flowing through his veins, but he didn't mind.

It ran through his body like fire, making him sigh and lean back, watching her as she injected herself as well. She leaned into him so close he could feel her heat and it took all he had not to reach out and touch her, just so he could feel that skin-on-skin tingling sensation he'd felt before.

Then she leaned in a little more as her music turned dark and he smiled softly as she pressed her lips against his. It was insane, the effect she had on him, her kiss feeling better than the drugs in his veins, something he'd never thought could be possible, not in a million years.

Her lips sent a tingling electricity through him that he knew was dangerous and could possibly get him hooked, but the drugs in his system kept him from caring, it felt so good.

She pulled away, making him frown a little, but he instantly grabbed the back of her neck and brought her back to him, a little roughly, kissing her again, not wanting her to pull away as his lips trailed her skin, down her neck.

The rough way he grabbed her and pulled her lips back his is excited her, it took the breath out of her. His lips moved down her neck, giving her time to finally catch her breath, though his lips against her skin caused her to moan, though it was lost in the music.

He was forceful and rough, something she wasn’t exactly use to or maybe it was just the way he went about it. She grabbed his shirt pulling him over her as she laid back, she kissed his lips deeply as she let her hands wonder freely down his chest. Her hand resting on his cheek, ready to pull him back if her started to pull away. For once she didn’t feel the familiar pain in her chest, that she normally felt when she took the drugs, whatever high she was getting from their kiss was stronger than any high she could get from a drug. Strong enough to reduce the pain her heart caused her most of the time.

“Kennedy, open the fucking door!” Austen’s voice was louder than the music, but she chose to ignore it. She knew he was pissed and that just made everything better.

She kissed Nathan harder smirking against his lips, there was nothing pulling her away from him, not even her psycho ex-boyfriend threatening to break down the door.

"Don't worry, I'm not afraid." she said making him smirk.

He watched her walk to her closet as she tried to decided what CD to put in. Finally she decided and a familiar Red Hot Chili Peppers song drowned out his sister’s music. "If you don't like it, you can either keep it to yourself, or get out." she said with a light laugh.

He smirked “Red Hot Chili Peppers, couldn’t have picked a better band to get high to.” he shrugged.

He started dumping the pills in the center of the bed, mixing them together, it wasn’t long before you could no longer tell which pills were which, it made Keegan smirked. Risk taking was what he did best and he was usually pretty good when it came to stupid things like this, only he didn’t know what kind of pills Dahlia had. He grabbed a generous handful, enough pills to keep him intoxicated for hours.

He stood up casually walking over to her door and locking it before tossing the pills into his mouth, he grabbed the Vodka from her with one swift motion washing the pills down. Before giving a bow, smirking to her.

“Your turn Juliet.” He teased, like the two of them together had made a suicide pact.

He took another large swig of the liquor, before passing it back off to her so she could wash down her own handful. He didn’t feel anything right away, but that wasn’t unusual in his case, drugs normally took longer to take effect on him. He just hopped he hadn’t gotten anything like speed or cocaine. Knowing that could be bad for her, he only took those kinds of drugs before a fight, because they made him mean. He sat back down across from her on the bed listening to the music, finally starting to feel a little buzz from the cocktail of mixed medications.

“Red Hot Chili Peppers, couldn’t have picked a better band to get high to.” He said and she smirked, glad that he had a decent taste in music. She watched as Keegan dumped all the pill bottles out in the center of the bed and mixed them together until they were unrecognizable.

She kept her eyes on him as he grabbed a pretty large handful of the drugs and went and locked her door, making her smirk, wondering exactly what he thought they'd be doing that he had to make sure no one barged in. He took the pills before taking the vodka from her and chasing them down with a drink.

“Your turn Juliet.” He teased, as he took another drink before handing the bottle back to her and sitting across from her on the bed.

She glanced at the pile of pills. It was reckless and stupid, but him taking his so fearlessly was like a challenge she had to meet, and she never turned down a challenge. So, without hesitating, she grabbed a rather large handful of pills and swallowed them, chasing them down with a huge swig of the vodka.

Dahlia smirked at him and leaned back as the effects of the pills started to spread throughout her body. She was buzzed, her head starting to swim, and yet her heart was pounding wildly in her chest, making her feel an intoxicating mix of relaxed and excited at the same time. Whatever she took though, she just hoped the pills didn't mix dangerously and she hasn't taken too much. But Dahl could already feel her worry starting to slip away with the drugs as she took another deep drink if the liquor.

Nathan felt, more than heard her moan because the sound was lost in the vibrating of the music around them. He smiled against her lips as she grabbed his shirt and layed on her back, pulling him over her.

Nathan was shocked by the way her kiss made him feel. He hadnt even needed the drugs. All he needed was to kiss her. It was unlike anything he'd ever felt. He never thought it's be possible that a girl would be better then drugs. However, he knew that was dangerous and so, even as he kissed her, he was already preparing to leave her.

Her hands roamed his chest and he smirked against her lips. “Kennedy, open the fucking door!” He heard, and Austen's sudden shouts made him jump a little, not from fear, but from surprise. He'd been so focused on Kennedy that the fact that something else existed shocked him.

However, she only kissed him harder and he felt her smirking against his lips. Nathan pulled back and smirked down at her. "As much as I love this..." He said, his fingers sliding up her thigh before going back to the bed beside her. "You're not going to use me to make your boyfriend jealous." He said with a smirk.

"As much as I love this..." he said as he pulled away, his and ran up her thigh before he dropped it back down to the bed next to her, she used the break between their kissing to catch her breath. "You're not going to use me to make your boyfriend jealous." she rolled her eyes.

“Out of all things in this damn world you don’t want me using you to make my boyfriend jealous?” she looked at him confused, before pushing him off of her more than a little irritated.

She pulled the sheet that covered her window back again making it suddenly bright again, she stepped off her bed rolling her eyes as he banged on the door again, she flipped off the music only to hear Dahlia’s music next door, blaring through the walls, though it had a bit of a muffled sound, not that she minded at all. She made her way to the door, wanting nothing more than to beat the shit out of Austen for his interruption.

“Just for the record…he’s not my boyfriend.” She smirked purposely letting him know. She opened the door to Austen, arms crossed in front of his chest like they were officially dating and she was the worst girlfriend in the world.

“Am I interrupting something?” he said harshly glancing to see Nathan on the bed.

Kennedy took a breath as she lend against the door frame, the heroine that ran through her veins making her body heavy and tired.

“Yeah actually you are.” Kenna shrugged, glancing back to Nathan for a moment before looking back to Austen.

“Hey buddy, mind getting your ass out of my girlfriends bed.” He said harshly.

Keegan smirked as he watched her lean back, the pills obviously having their effect on her as she took another drink. The effect on him was slower, but he started to fill it and he was thankful that whatever he’d taken in his handful, were making him calmer and not hype up. He lend back against the wall feeling his libs start to grow heavy. He took the bottle of liquor from her with a smirk, taking a drink letting it burn down his throat.

He glanced to her, lazily. It was early in the day, but it wasn’t like any of them had anywhere important to be, in all honesty they barely had responsibilities. They were living the life people dreamed about. No responsibility, No one to answer to, all the sex and drugs you could ask for, not to mention they lived in one in one of the most beautiful places on earth. Keegan almost had to wonder why he’d ever left.

“So…” he started in a whisper and even though the music was loud he was close enough she could hear him. “You think your boyfriend would get mad if I kissed you right now?” although he’d state it as a question about her boyfriend, he was more asking if she’d mind.

Because the truth was, he could care less if her friend with benefits got mad, in fact he’d love for him to start something, he hadn’t been in a good fight since he’d come back home and fighting was just bred into him.

Dahlia looked up as Keegan swiped the bottle from her again and looked at her as he took a drink. She smirked at him, and rolled her eyes, leaning her head way back until she was looking up at the ceiling, watching as bright pin points of the Christmas lights grew fuzzy and blurred together, unfocusing and refocusing over and over again.

“So…” He said in a whisper that normally would have gotten lost in her music, but he was sitting close enough that she could still hear him. “You think your boyfriend would get mad if I kissed you right now?”

Dahlia laughed. "That's all you want?" She teased with a smirk. "A kiss?" She laughed at the thought of Tristin getting angry, knowing he would. She could practically see the hair raised on the back of his neck earlier and all they'd been doing was sitting in the same room.

"He's not my boyfriend." She said with a smirk, looking him over. She wanted to kiss him, but she wasn't sure. Maybe she wanted to keep him hanging for a bit longer. Dahlia bit her lip playfully. "Yeah, he'll get mad." She shrugged as she stood up on her knees and moved over to him.

She pulled herself so close there was nothing but a sliver of air between them. "But for future reference." She whispered as she leaned in, lips next to his ear. "I like a man who takes what he wants. Without asking." She chuckled breathily and pulled away so she could see his eyes, leaning in like she was going to kiss him on the lips, but instead she pressed her lips to his cheek briefly before laughing and pulling away fully, standing up off the bed and walking over to the stereo to turn it up even more as the song changed.

“Out of all things in this damn world you don’t want me using you to make my boyfriend jealous?” She said, looking confused as she pushed him off her, but he just shrugged. He used girls. Not the other way around. He watched as she moved about the room, uncovering her window and flipping off the music.

On the outside, his face seemed to be unfazed, and maybe a little amused by the fact that she was irritated and had pushed him away, but on the inside, all he wanted was to pull her back into his lap and kiss her again. To touch her, and feel her skin on his, because that had been better than anything he'd ever taken.

But for now, he had to settle for the heroin in his veins as he leaned back against the wall her bed was pushed up against and watched her. “Just for the record…he’s not my boyfriend.” She smirked and he rolled his eyes.

"If you don't want me to mistake him for your boyfriend, don't call him that." He said with a smirk as she whipped the door open, revealing a very pissed Austen.

“Am I interrupting something?” The guy spat bitterly, looking between the two of them, and Nathan just shrugged and laughed as he lit himself a cigarette and raised it to his lips lazily with a wicked grin. He liked seeing Austen pissed and jealous, and was even a little excited at the thought of fighting him, knowing he could more than take the guy.

“Yeah actually you are.” Kenna said and Nate chuckled at her boldness, not even trying to hide the fact that they'd just been making out.

“Hey buddy, mind getting your ass out of my girlfriends bed?” Austen spat, his words directed at him and Nathan rolled his eyes.

He puffed out a breath of smoke and glanced at him ignorantly, not answering right away, as if he had all the time in the world, knowing it would piss him off more. "No, buddy," he sneered. "I don't think I will. I'm pretty comfortable." He smirked. "Your 'girlfriend's' a good kisser by the way." He said, gesturing to Kenna with a laugh. "But you might want to notify her that you're together. She just told me you're not her boyfriend."

Kenna winced at the way Austen had referred to her as his girlfriend, she hated it, she wasn’t anyone’s girlfriend or property for that matter and she thought Austen would know that by now. Austen glared at Nathan from the door way hating the way he took his time and the way he sat there not bothering to move. Kennedy rolled her eyes when his fists clenched, like he wanted to beat the shit out of Nathan.

"No, buddy, I don't think I will. I'm pretty comfortable." Kenna smirk at the way he’d mocked Austen "Your 'girlfriend's' a good kisser by the way." Kennedy laughed, shrugging when Austen glanced to her "But you might want to notify her that you're together. She just told me you're not her boyfriend." Austen moved quickly and Kenna pushed him back harshly not afraid of him.

“Take one more step forward, I’ll fuck your pretty face up.” She threatened completely serious and anyone who knew Kennedy, knew when she threatened she followed through “Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it was you who told him just this morning…good luck dealing with her…” she smirked “So that’s exactly what he’s doing…dealing with me.” She raised a brow smirking wickedly.

Austen shook his head as if he couldn’t believe she’d twisted his words and thrown them back in his face.

“Now if you don’t mind I’d like to get back to fucking the gentlemen on my bed and if you interrupt one more time, I’ll let my brother and Nathan kick the shit out of you.” She said before slamming the door in his face and locking it again.

She walked back over to the stereo, switching the CD, turning it up loud enough to drown out Dahlia’s music, which was probably louder than necessary, but she knew it wasn’t loud enough for D to hear. The song started and she lend against the wall not bothering to go sit back on the bed with him, if he wanted her bad enough, he’d have to come to her this time. She grabbed a joint from her stash next to her stereo, lighting it and taking a long hit from it. Letting the drugs in her system, the weed, and the music relax her, she let her head roll back and rest against the wall as she closed her eyes, focusing her attention on the beat of the music.

"That's all you want? A kiss?" he shrugged at her question. "He's not my boyfriend." Keegan had known that, but boyfriend seemed like a better choice of words then friend with benefits. "Yeah, he'll get mad." He smirked at that, he watched her as she sat up on her knees moving closer to him.

There was little space between them and it took everything in him to keep from pulling her to his lips. He smirked up at her, almost tauntingly "But for future reference." her lips next to his ear made it hard for him to concentrate "I like a man who takes what he wants. Without asking." but, he’d trained himself and he concentrated on every word he said.

Her lips on his skin caused a spark he couldn’t explain and he wasn’t sure if it was the alcohol, the pills, or a mix of both, but whatever it was made him want to touch her, he wanted the sliver of air between them to be nonexistent. On the outside, he remained calm as if he wasn’t fazed by her seductive attempt. He watched her walk to the stereo.

He quietly got off the bed, he knew she wouldn’t hear him, the music was way too loud for either of them to hear, if the other had tried to talk. He walked up behind her feeling the heat between them as he closed the space between them. He moved her hair to one side, placing his lips on her neck, it was feeling he couldn’t explain, all he knew is it made him want more. He placed a hand on either hip, pulling her close, so her back was against his chest. He continued kissing up her neck slowly almost playing with her until he reached her ear.

“I normally never ask.” He whispered darkly, his breath right next to her ear “Guess I wanted to make a good impression, before you found out what I’m really like.” He spun her around quickly so that she was facing him now, he still held her tightly a wicked smirk on his lips as he pushed her against the wall roughly, not enough to really hurt her though. He closed the space between them leaving absolutely no breathing room his forehead rested against hers.

“Trust me babe, if I want something…I take it.” He smirked dangerously.

He forced her tighter against the wall, he placed his lips to hers roughly letting her know he was serious. The kiss was like straight electricity, he knew almost immediately, but the way it felt kissing her, he wouldn’t be able to let her go easily and that she would be more than just another fling. He pinned her arms against the wall so she couldn’t move as he kissed her deeper and rougher.
