For two best friends, summer is always paradise considering they were born and raised in Hawaii. To most it’s simply a vacation spot, but to them it’s home and they know how lucky they are to live in such a beautiful place. The girls have been best friends since birth and always vowed that nothing would come between them. But, this summer things are about to change for both of them and their friendships will be tested.

Will their friendship fall apart over some new romances and dark secrets?

Or

Will they work through it and hold true to their word of being friends forever?

Theme Songs
Misery
So scared of breaking it
That you won't let it bend
And I wrote two hundred letters
I will never send
Sometimes these cuts are so much deeper than they seem
You'd rather cover up
I'd rather let them bleed
Rock N Roll
Don't know how to keep my mouth shut
You say so what (what)
I don' t care if I'm misfit
I like it better than the hipster of all shit
I am the mother fucking princess
You still love me

Dahlia watched as Keegan handed over the drugs and then stood and pulled her close, promising to have her back on ten minutes before lacing their fingers and dragging her through the party, outside, and around to the side of the house where they were alone.

When they finally stopped, she wanted to push him away and tell him he was a dumbass, but before she could do anything, he pushed her up against the side of the house and kissed her. She wanted to fight him, but she couldn't. It felt too good to kiss him and, the moment his lips touched hers, the drugs in her system took away everything in her mind but the kiss. He leaned into her and she kissed him back, moaning as he used a hand at the back of her neck to press her tighter against his lips.

She was glad when he pulled away because she sure as hell wouldn't have been able to. She held his eyes as he pressed his forehead against hers and felt him placing pills in her hand.

"Slip these in their drinks, it will look like they just fell asleep and they won't remember a thing." He whispered and she closed her eyes and closed her hand around the pills. "I love you D." He said and she nodded softly.

"I love you too Keegan." She whispered before shaking her head and pushing him off her. "But you can't help me tonight. Not without getting yourself killed." She glanced around briefly before opening her hand and looking at the pills. "There are a million and one people in there who know Jack and Kai personally. You don't think someone saw you take me out here? You don't think it's going to get back to Jack?" She shook her head and held the pills out to him, wanting him to take them back. "Don't you think it'll look a little suspicious if every guy I'm supposed to be fucking falls asleep on me?" She asked, raising her eyebrows. "We can't do this tonight. It's too dangerous." She whispered with a sigh.

Nathan was having no luck finding Jack. Apparently, no one had seen him, and he couldn't find him anywhere. He spotted Keegan dragging Dahlia to the door and he mentally wished them luck, but other than that, he really saw no one he knew well. He knew Jack and Kai's associates but that's all they were to him and he wasn't really in the mood to chat with any of them.

What he wanted, was to get out of there, but that sure as fuck wasn't going to happen. So he continued to push through people. "Nathan." Nate heard Kenna's voice and it caused him to stop.

He wanted to keep going and ignore her. Like he was supposed to. So she'd go back to pretending to love Kai like she was supposed to. And then no one would be in danger. But he couldn't walk away from her. Not when her voice sounded the way it just had. There was something wrong. So he pushed his own hurt and irritation at thinking about her and Kai away and turned, heading over to her.

She was standing just outside the bathroom. He sighed and glanced around before quickly ducking in the bathroom with her and closing the door behind them, turning to her, leaning on the door as he watched her. "What's wrong Kenna?" He asked, looking her over, suddenly concerned because she looked distraught.

She watched Nate and for a minute, even though he’d stopped she thought he was just going to keep walking and if he had she would have completely fallen apart, she wasn’t exactly sure how she was still holding herself together. Finally he turned and started making his way back towards her and she allowed herself to breath.

He ducked into the bathroom and she followed after him, he closed the door behind them and she lend against the wall across from him, keeping her eyes on the floor, because she didn’t want to look at him. She couldn’t he was going to be good to her, he’d tell her he loved her. god please don’t tell me you love me she thought to herself because she didn’t deserve any of that.

"What's wrong Kenna?" he asked and she could tell by the tone of his voice he was concerned and she silently cursed herself for not being able to act this time, for not being able to try and cover her misery with a forced smile like she always did.

“I’m fine…my heart…it’s just acting up.” She lied surprisingly well, because it was a lie Nate would buy after what had happened last time. “Nathan.” She breathed finally after a long moment of silence forcing herself to look at him. She had him alone and as much as she wanted to tell him to leave the party or say something that would hurt him enough to make him leave, she couldn’t because then Kai would know she was protecting him, so she had to do it now or she’d loose her chance. “I need you to do me a favor.” She said pulling herself together. “Keegan says there’s this guy, named Justin Moore, he’s got something to knock Kai out for the night…some kind of drug.” She said taking a few steps closer closing the distance.

She pressed her lips to his, like it was the last time she’d see him, because she knew it was, but he didn’t. After a moment she pulled away and placed a stack of hundred dollar bills in his hand.

“I need you to buy whatever he has for me.” She said holding his eyes hoping he wouldn’t ask questions. She wanted to take her words and the money back, she felt sick, like she wanted to throw up again.

He was glad when she didn’t pull away or push him away like he thought she would. He knew it was stupid, Keegan wasn’t exactly one for doing smart things, despite how smart he actually was. Especially when someone like Dahlia was why he was being stupid, it didn’t matter to him as long as he got to see her.

"I love you too Keegan."She whispered and then as if everything had come flooding back she pushed him away and he sighed. "But you can't help me tonight. Not without getting yourself killed." she lectured him and he rolled his eyes "There are a million and one people in there who know Jack and Kai personally. You don't think someone saw you take me out here? You don't think it's going to get back to Jack?" he opened his mouth to speak and but she cut him off. "Don't you think it'll look a little suspicious if every guy I'm supposed to be fucking falls asleep on me?"

He should have expected that much from her. He was just trying to help, but apparently all he’d done is put both of them at danger and he was frustrated. He just wanted to protect her and Kenna and he couldn’t protect either of them, because they wouldn’t let him.

"We can't do this tonight. It's too dangerous." she finally said and that was all he needed to hear, that had pushed him over the edge.

“Fine D. I don’t what your or Kennedy fucking expect me to do when you won’t even let me help.” He said feeling his anger rise and he walked a few steps away from her, his fist colliding with the side of the house, his knuckles throbbed, but he ignored the pain. He walked back towards her only he didn’t stop “Have fun fucking all your brothers friends, but I can’t stay here and watch.” He spat bitterly as he passed her and disappeared around the corner and into the house.

“Fine D. I don’t know what you or Kennedy fucking expect me to do when you won’t even let me help.” Keegan said and she winced and looked away, feeling like shit. She knew he was frustrated and to was hard for him to take it slow and figure their shit out instead of just rushing in and getting himself killed, but, while she wasn't willing to let go of him just yet now that she'd gotten him back, she wasn't willing to let him get himself killed trying to protect her either.

She watched as he took a few steps away from her and punched the side of the house suddenly, making her jump, knowing he was angry and dangerous when he was and hoping he hadn't taken anything yet or he might turn his attention on her.

“Have fun fucking all your brother's friends, but I can’t stay here and watch.” He spat bitterly as he walked back past her and disappeared around the corner and into the house.

His words stung like a slap in the face and she had to take a step back and lean against the side of the house, staying still for a minute and taking a few deep breaths, hoping she wouldn't throw up. Or worse. Cry. She wanted to chase Keegan down and tell him to stop being such an ass, but she couldn't. She had to get back inside before someone realized she was missing.

So she quickly pulled herself together and wrapped back around the side of the house and inside, making her way back across the room towards where she'd left Mike, but, before she got there, a hand wrapped around her upper arm and whirled her around. "You're playing a dangerous game Dahl." Jack spat in her face and she glanced around to see they were in a circle of guys he had been talking to and he was calling her out in front of them. She yanked her arm away from him, refusing to let him humiliate her any more than he already had that night, treating her like an object.

"Fuck off, Mike started to take me upstairs, but I got lost." She lied quickly. "I was just trying to get back to him."

He rolled her eyes and she knew he wasn't buying it. "Right. That's why I just spoke to him." He gestured to the couch where she'd left Mike. "He's high off his ass and, when I asked where you were, he said some guy gave him drugs in exchange for a few minutes with you. I asked what drugs. It's Keegan's new shit." Jack smirked like he'd won something. "I'm not stupid D."

Dahlia was getting increasingly irritated with him. Usually, she just did what he said, but this time, she was still hurt over Keegan's words and, not only was he degrading her, scolding her like he owned her, but he was doing it in front of a group of his friends and it pissed her off. "You sure?" She asked, raising a brow.

He looked shocked for a second, like he couldn't believe she'd so blatantly insult him. Like he as shocked she wasn't just nodding and promising that it wouldn't happen again. But shock was quickly replaced with anger as he recovered and slapped her hard across the face, causing her head to whip to the side. He grabbed her hair and turned her head to face him, pulling on it painfully so she had to look at him. He smirked and wiped her nose with his sleeve, getting the blood that was now running there before laughing.

"Well, since Mike's currently too fucked up to remember his own name," he shoved her hard into his circle of friends, causing her to trip and collide hard with one of them. He caught her and righted her, but didn't release her, holding both wrists in one hand. "We'll have to get back to him later." Jack continued, "for now, have fun with Chris." Wit that, he gestured to two of his guys. "I want one of you outside, watching the window, the other standing outside the door to make sure she doesn't try to make a run for it when they're done. She doesn't get out until I come for her." He ordered them before the man that was holding her wrists smirked and wrapped an arm around her waist.

"Don't worry, we'll have fun." He whispered, leaning in close, breath tickling her neck. He hovered there for a second before placing his lips against her skin, making her whole body tense. He felt it and laughed before leading her away from the group, upstairs, towards the bedrooms. The fight went out of her because there was no point. So she went willingly.

“I’m fine…my heart…it’s just acting up.” Kenna responded and he wasn't sure, but nodded anyway. “Nathan.” She breathed finally after a long moment of silence and he knew something was wrong. Something she wasn't telling him.

But this was Kenna. If she wanted something hidden it stayed that way so he knew forcing her to tell him would be useless. “I need you to do me a favor.” She said and he nodded. “Keegan says there’s this guy, named Justin Moore, he’s got something to knock Kai out for the night…some kind of drug.” She said, coming close and he smirked down at her and wrapped an arm around her.

She pressed her lips to his, and there was something in her kiss he couldn't figure out. It had to have something to do with whatever was wrong with her, but, before he could figure it out, she pulled away and placed a roll of bills in his hand.

“I need you to buy whatever he has for me.” She said and he sighed and pocketed the money with a sigh.

"Right." He said with a smirk and a roll of his eyes. "Where is he?" He had a bad feeling, but he ignored it, telling himself he trusted her.

"Right." He said with a smirk and she hated the fact that he trusted her so much, he’d never trust her again after tonight and she couldn’t blame him. "Where is he?"

“I don’t know.” She whispered “But, I have to get out of here before Kai figures out I’m missing.” She said holding his eyes for a long moment of silence, before leaning up and kissing him, to distract him as she used her other hand to open the bathroom door she slipped out of the door.

She couldn’t be in there with him any longer or else she wouldn’t be able to go through with it. It was either him or Charlie and Krista and she knew full well if he was in the same position it would have done the same thing or at least she hoped he would.

She slipped into the crowed quickly, if he stopped her or if she had to face him again she’d break down. Instead of going back into the party she headed up stairs stopping halfway up when she saw her brother walk in with Kai in tow and her stomach nodded instantly. She wanted to yell at him and tell him to turn around, but she couldn’t. Kai glanced up and her smirking wickedly.

She continued up stairs, heading straight into Kai’s room and into the bathroom. She started the bathtub peeling off her clothes. While she waited for the water to fill up the bathtub, she shot up moaning as it hit her veins. She hoped by some chance she’d over dose, but then that would be the easy way out and nothing had ever been easy for Kennedy.

She turned on the radio as loud as it would go to drown out the music from the party, with her own. The water was scolding hot, but she didn’t care any pain was better than the mental torture she was going through.

Keegan knew he’d jumped the gun and was just pissed off at Jack, not D, but lately it felt like neither Kenna nor Dahlia really wanted to be saved. It was like they both like misery and pain. Both Nate and him could easily figure out a way to get them out of the situation they were in, but they weren’t going to do it if they didn’t want to be saved and it was honestly killing him to watch both girls act like they were okay with their situations.

Keegan was to distracted by his thoughts to pay attention to what was going on around him and he headed straight to his car before feeling a hand on his shoulder and he sighed he should have known he wasn’t going to get out of there that easily.

“Keegan, we made a deal.” Kai’s voice made him sigh and he turned to face the man as Kai dropped his arm back at his side. Keegan nodded as he pulled the drugs out of his pocket and Kai gestured for him to head back to the house first and he heard Kai’s foot steps behind him and they went back into the party

Dahlia glanced up as Jack's friend pulled her through the crowd to see Keegan come inside with Kai just behind him, and quickly slipped up the stairs with Chris, not wanting him to see her and not wanting to look at him much longer, afraid she might break down. She hated herself for complying with Jack, but it was hard not to. First of all, if she defied him, she was playing with, not only her life, but Kenna's and Keegan's as well, but, take away the threats and the beatings she'd get, it was just hard not to do something she'd been doing for years.

She was used to it. When she was young, she'd look to Jack for help because he was the closest thing she'd ever had to an authority figure in her life, seeing as both her parents were such deadbeats and when she got older and he started to turn into an ass, she didn't like it. She tried to get away from him. But he was still the only person she'd ever respected or listened to. It was hard not to let him have an influence on her when he'd been having one for so many years now. Her fear of him was like part of her and she just couldn't seem to shake it.

So, even though she'd resisted, in the end, she usually always did what Jack said, because, no matter how hard she resisted, he always won. If he wanted something, he got it. It was that simple, and trying to refuse him made things hard and complicated. So letting him walk all over her was the easier choice. It kept anyone from getting her but herself, and she was more than used to personal pain. She could handle it.

Chris pulled her into a room upstairs and closed the door before pushing her against the wall. She dropped the pills Keegan had given her, and he glanced down, seeing them spill all over the floor before raising his eyes back to hers, lifting an eyebrow and laughing. "Good choice." He said with a smirk before releasing her and bending to pick one of them up, holding it between them as he looked it over. "Keegan give you these?" She asked, and Dahlia knit her brows, confused at how he knew who Keegan was, let alone the fact that he'd want to protect her by giving her pills to drug him with. He looked past the pill, to her, and smirked when he saw her confusion. "I'm pretty close to Jack. Tells me a lot of shit." He shrugged. "Also owes me a lot." He chuckled. "I think you'll start seeing a lot more of me." He said, dropping the pill and reaching out, grabbing her hips and pulling her body tightly against his.

"Don't worry Dahlia I promise, you'll like it." His words were a whisper against her neck, making her shiver and she felt his lips smirk as he squeezed her tighter and ran the fingertips of one hand down from the back of her neck, grazing her skin ever so slightly, following the dip in her backless dress all the way down her spine to the small of her back where he pressed his hand out flat and used it to pull her closer. Dahlia shivered again and he laughed. "Are you afraid?" He asked softly as he used his other hand to move the hair away from her neck and kiss it, almost tenderly, which surprised her. Usually Jack's friends were drunk and high off their asses and a quick, senseless fuck. This was different. He was taunting her, and seemed fairly sober. She wasn't quite sure what to think, but something did scare her about him so she nodded softly.

He laughed lightly and kissed up her neck to her ear, where he stopped and hovered there, breath icy on her skin. "Don't be." He chuckled before pulling away just enough to pop a pill into his mouth before pressing his lips against hers, slipping his tongue into her mouth with the pill, forcing it on her, and she took it willingly, glad that she wasn't going to have to sleep with him sober. "Nothing strong." He said against her lips. "But it'll loosen you up. You're super tense right now babe."

With that, he fisted his hand in her hair and wrapped his other arm tightly around her waist, kissing her and, after a moment of hesitation, she kissed back and he smirked against her lips when she did before pulling her away from the wall, walking her over to the bed where he sat down and pulled her into his lap so that she was straddling him. She sat up on her knees as his hands worked her dress up until she sat back down and raised her arms over her head so he could pull it off, breaking the kiss for only a second before he tossed it away and went right back to kissing her while his hands roamed her body.

Dahlia tried not to enjoy it, but she couldn't help it. He moaned into his lips and he laughed tauntingly against hers before flipping her onto her back and climbing over her. She tried to blame it on the drugs, mentally telling herself that was what was making him feel so good, but, like he said, what he'd given her wasn't extremely strong, it had just helped her relax some, so even she knew it was a weak argument.

When they were done, she rolled off him and tried to keep going, intending to roll off the bed, grab her things, and get dressed, but her grabbed her wrist and pulled her back over. She looked at him as he held her tightly, trying to catch her breath. His hands continued to roam her skin and she closed her eyes and relaxed into it with a soft moan, despite the fact that she wanted out of there. "Told you you'd like it." He laughed before releasing her and sitting up, pulling his clothes back on. He tossed her her things before leaning down and pressing his lips against hers hard. "Like I said, you'll probably be seeing more of me." He said to her before heading over to the door, grabbing the handle, and then turning back to look at her. "Oh, and Jack wants you to stay here until he comes for you. I wouldn't try to run if I were you." He smirked at her and a way that made her stomach twist, because it told her he knew more than she did, though what he knew, she didn't know. "I doubt you'll find Keegan anyway."

With that, he slipped out of the room, leaving her with a sinking feeling in her gut that Keegan was in trouble. She sighed and got dressed before sitting on the bed, waiting for Jack. It took a painfully long time, but eventually the door opened and he came in, looking her over as he sat next to her on the bed, smoking a cigarette. "Who the fuck was that?" She asked simply. "I fucked him for you, I think you owe me that much. Why the hell did he know so much?"

Jack smirked. "Because he's a cop. That's his job." He said and Dahlia's eyebrows shot up, startled, causing him to laugh. "His real name is Andrew." Jack shrugged and smoke his cigarette before handing it to her and she took it, listening as she smoked it. "Kai and I pay him off to keep the cops off our backs, and it's been working for a while, but he's started to hike up his price." He smirked and looked at her. "So I thought, instead of raising the bribes ridiculously, he might like you." Dahlia sighed and ran her fingers through her hair.

"Before he left, he said something about Keegan..." She trailed off and looked at him, and the wicked smirk on his lips made her stomach turn. "It sounded almost like a threat." She whispered, voice suddenly low with fear for him.

"Yeah." Jack laughed. "That's the best part. He's going to take care of that prick for me. He's going to bust his ass." Dahlia stood suddenly, but he reached out and grabbed her arm. "He's probably already in the middle of it right now." He laughed and released her. "So go ahead, run down there and try and stop it." He smirked. "But I bet Keegan won't look too fondly on the fact that you just fucked the cop that busted him."

“I don’t know.” She whispered and he sighed. Awesome. Looking for one individual person in one of Kai's parties was literally like looking for a needle in a haystack. Almost impossible. Unless it was Jack or Kai you were looking for. Everyone knew where they were almost all the time unless they didn't want to be found. “But, I have to get out of here before Kai figures out I’m missing.” She said and held his eyes for a long time. Nate nodded and she kissed him before slipping quickly out the door, leaving him there alone.

Nate sighed. He didn't like it. Something was off for sure, though he couldn't figure out what. It felt like a set up, but he knew that had to be wrong, because he trusted Kenna. She wouldn't do that to him. Though he couldn't exactly figure out what else it could be. He pulled out the roll of bills and looked at them in his hand with another sigh. She hadn't exactly given him much information. He wasn't even totally sure what drug he was supposed to be asking this guy for, but he figured, if he told them Kai had sent him, it would go over pretty smoothly because no drug dealer wanted to disappoint Kai.

So he slipped out of the bathroom and started to make his way through the party, asking around for someone named Justin Moore. It was increasingly irritating, because no one seemed to know who the hell he was talking about before he spotted Jack, about to slip into a bedroom and caught his arm. "Jack, man, I need your help." He said with a shrug and Jack nodded and lit a cigarette, signaling for him to ask his question. "I'm looking for a Justin Moore, Kai want's me to buy shit off him." He shrugged and lied, knowing it would look bad if he told him he was doing it for Kenna. "But no one seems to know who the fuck I'm talking about."

Jack gestured down the hall at a group that was chatting, pointing to the man closest to him. "That's your guy." He smirked and nodded. "That all you need?" Nate nodded and Jack slapped a hand on his back before laughing and slipping into the room he'd been going in. Nate caught a glimpse of Dahlia inside, but ignored it and headed down the hall towards the guy Kenna had sent him after, eager to get the deal over with so he could get back to K and force her to tell him what was wrong.

Kennedy felt like absolute shit, but she deserved it. She was always putting herself in stupid situations and making a deal with Kai was probably one of the stupidest things she’d ever done. He’d fucked up her life beyond repair, yet in a he was always taking care of her. She both hated him and cared about him at the same time.

She had to keep her mind of Nate, she loved him more then she wanted to admit and she’d just thrown him to the dogs. She submerged her whole body underwater and closed her eyes. Hoping by her heart would give out or she’d taken too much this time. Finally though she came back up from the water and grabbed a cigarette from the back that sat on the window seal taking a long drag from it, letting the music and hot water numb her.

She stayed in the bath tub long after the water had gotten cold, just because she didn’t really care and once she stepped out of the bath tub she’d have to face the fact that Nathan and Keegan were really gone and it was all her fault. Why couldn’t she just fucking warn them? Why couldn’t she have been strong enough to warn them and then go get her sister and just run.

She had her eyes closed and suddenly her music was off and she was surprised to hear it was silent, which meant the party was over, it had been over for a while if it was as quite as it was. She kept her hers closed for a long time even though she could feel his eyes on her.

“You did good.” He finally said, cutting through the silence and reminding her of what she’d done. “I didn’t actually think you’d do it…I thought I might actually get to kill Nate.” He chuckled as if he was talking about something funny a co-worker had said.

“Kai please…just leave me alone.” She whispered as tears trailed down her cheeks all she wanted to do was be alone.

“Alright KC Cat, but by now that waters got to be cold and you look exhausted, you should really come to bed.” He spoke as if he actually cared how she felt but she could her the smirk in his voice.

Keegan walked in a million and one things on his mind. He should really try and find Dahl and apologize to her. He felt guilty for what he’d said to her and he was glad he was still sober and able to think clearly. Kai grabbed his arm and pulled him into one of the room, before they’d gotten into the main living room where everyone was.

“The guy you’re looking for his name is Andrew.” He explained and Keegan listened. “He’s a friend of my uncle, you make this deal with him were all going to be sitting pretty on piles of cash.” He smirked and Keegan smiled back. If it was a friend of his uncle it meant he was important.

Keegan was trying to keep his mind focused on what he was about to do, but his mind was elsewhere and the wasn’t hard to see. He wanted to hand Kai the drugs and tell him he couldn’t do it and he thought about it, because he really wanted nothing to do with Kai, but then he knew Kai would make him pay if he backed out now.

“Keegan.” Kai’s voice pulled him from his thoughts. “Don’t fuck this up. Maybe if you snag this deal I’ll talk to Jack for you.” Somehow Kai couldn’t believe that, but he just nodded. “Ready?” Kai asked and Keegan hesitated but nodded.

Kai opened the door and stepped out, Keegan followed and watched as Kai pointed out the man. Keegan took a breath and headed over to him. He talked to him for a long time, he wasn’t exactly sure how long it was, but finally they’d exchanged money for drugs and the second the trade was done, Keegan had finally figured it all out a second too late.

Everything came flooding back like a movie. He’d seen Kenna on the stair case looking at him like she wanted to stop him. He’d overheard Kai and Jack just a few days ago talking about how the cops were demanding a pricier bribe, and the way Jack and Kai had been less demanding of him and Nate lately it all just suddenly fit together, it was a set up and Kennedy knew and he wondered if Dahlia knew, she had to.

“You’re under arrest for the distribution and possession of drugs.” He said pulling Keegan from his thoughts and it was so surreal Keegan was in shock. Everyone around him went silent and he didn’t even try and fight it. The man he’d just sold the drugs to, grabbed his wrists roughly and placed them behind his back in cuffs as they towards the front door and Keegan could feel all eyes on him.

Andrew paused in front of Kai, tossing him the drugs Keegan had just sold him. Of course he should have known he’d be a dirty cop. “Oh, looks like your sister’s on my side…that’s what happens when you leave family.” Kai lend in close speaking in a low tone, a dark smirk on his face. “But don’t worry Keegs, I’ll take good care of her…too bad you won’t be around for the wedding.” Keegan’s jaw clenched and his whole body tensed he fought to get at Kai but Andrew yank hard on his cuffed arms causing him to wince.

“You better pray I get life…cause if I don’t I’m coming for you Hale.” He spat dangerously at Kai.

“Oh I’m so scared.” Kai mocked “I’ll tell your precious baby doll you love her.” Kai called after them as Andrew continued outside. Once outside, Keegan was placed in the back of a cop car.

Andrew bent down holding Keegan’s eyes “Your girlfriends a good fuck.” He smirked “I’ll take good care of her while you’re gone.” He said before slamming the door in his face as they waited for Justin to bring Nate out.

"Fuck you!" Dahlia spat angrily at Jack, starting to feel panic rise in her at the thought of what Jack had just done. He'd managed to get Keegan busted, clear his debt to the cop, and get her to betray Keegan. Fucking perfect. If he got out, she doubted he'd trust her again. No doubt, they'd throw the fact that she'd slept with Andrew in his face, and it'd look like she was in on the whole fucking thing.

Jack was just laughing and it pissed her off even more so she slapped him as hard as she could before standing and heading for the door. He beat her there though, grabbing her wrist and yanking it around so that he held her arm twisted painfully behind her back. He wrapped a hand around her throat and she heard him laugh in her ear. "Calm down sis, it'll be alright." He cooed in a falsely sweet tone that made her jaw clench.

He shoved her forward, towards the window. "Have a look." He smirked and she heard him lighting a cigarette behind her. She turned and glanced at him before taking a step forward and pushing the curtains aside. The room had a perfect view of the front drive, so, as she watched, she could see Andrew bringing Keegan out in cuffs. The sight killed her and she pressed her forehead against the glass and closed her eyes, fighting back a wave of tears, not wanting to cry in front of Jack.

She wanted to run out there, but she knew it would do no good. They'd still arrest him, and she didn't want to be there when they taunted him with the fact that she'd fucked Andrew. So she stayed where she was. "Fucking hell Jack." She whispered as tears started to roll down her cheeks. "Why can't you just be a normal brother? Why can't you protect me from assholes?" She was thinking out loud things she really didn't want him to hear, but she didn't care. She was so exhausted of his games. She was done. Done being played. She hated it, but she could feel the last of her resolve crumbling away with what he'd just done. She was sick of trying to fight him and being blackmailed, cheated, conned, hurt, and used in the process.

He stood and came over to the window next to her. "I am." He said and she scoffed and rolled her eyes, pulling away from the window, and him, too disgusted to even be near him. "Hey, he would have broken your heart at some point anyway, am I right?" He said with a shrug. "You're staying here tonight because I don't have anyone to drive you home and I want to be able to keep an eye on you and make sure you don't run off to do something stupid." He came over and kissed her forehead like he was just her older brother, wishing her a good night's sleep, and she closed her eyes, wanting so badly for it to be that way, it physically hurt. "Get some sleep. You look like hell." He said before slipping out of the room.

Dahlia glanced at the bed and sighed before slipping off her dress. She went to the window and glanced one last time at Keegan before closing the curtains and going over to the bed. She was exhausted. Not just mentally, but physically as well. Her entire body hurt from head to toe, and she still hadn't slept yet, seeing as she'd been up the entire night before with Keegan. It should be easy to fall asleep, but, as Dahlia lay there, she cried, and she knew there was no way in hell she was going to fall asleep any time soon.

She wanted Kenna so bad it hurt, because she was the only person Dahlia could think of that might help. Or maybe Tristan, if he was sober, but Kenna would understand. She knew the shit she was going through, where as Tristan could only imagine. She wanted to get out of bed and go find her, but, not only did Jack have people outside the door and window so she couldn't leave, she wouldn't have done it anyway. Because Kenna hadn't talked to her in months. She wouldn't want to suddenly start now. Besides, she was probably with Kai.

Everything that happened next was a blur. The only thought in his mind was that Kenna had sold him out and that's what made it all feel like a dream, and he wasn't totally sure it was real, because he couldn't force his mind to believe that she'd done it. Sure, he could take the easy way out and explain it with blackmail. With the fact that Kai had Krista and Charlie, so, if she sold him out it was because she had to.

But it didn't make any sense to him. They'd been alone together in the bathroom. If she'd wanted to, she could have warned him and he could have made up some fake excuse to get out of the party early that had nothing to do with Kenna and then they'd both be okay. Sure, Kai would be pissed his plan hadn't worked, but it wouldn't be Kenna's fault, and it wouldn't be his either.

However, she hadn't warned him. She'd played him. She'd let him walk right into it. He'd known something was up, even as he'd been talking to the guy, so, by the time he'd told him he was arrested and cuffed him, he already knew. But there was nothing he could do.

More than anything, he wanted Kenna there so he could see the look on her face as they cuffed him. He wanted her to feel like shit for what she'd done. It was an awful thought, he knew that, but his hurt at seeing her and thinking about her with Kai had been building all night, and this betrayal had pushed it into anger. He wanted her to feel guilty. Or at least see the expression on her face if she didn't. Because then at least he would know. That she didn't care. It would hurt like hell, but at least he could stop wasting his time then, knowing if she'd purposely sold him out or not.

But he didn't get to see her. The cop simply walked him outside while people stared and Nate glanced up to see that Keegan was there, as well as Kai and another cop. Jack came out of the house behind them and smirked and him. "Told you to get your loyalties straight man." He said with a laugh before Nate was pushed into a cop car and the door was slammed. The only reason he didn't fight to get out and beat the shit out of Jack was because he was still trying to process the fact that Kenna had sold him out.

The year had passed by agonizingly slow. She’d not gone to Keegan and Nathan’s court hearing because she couldn’t stand the way Nate and Keegan would look at her. It was obvious she’d been the one who sold them out. Kai had told her himself that he’d told both of them. So what was the point of going. Kai had let her know and rubbed it in her face they’d each gotten fiver year sentences.

After that, she fell apart, locked herself in her room shoot up and didn’t eat. She’d tried killing herself countless times and over dosed a total of six times and she still hadn’t died. It was just her luck even with as shitty as her heart was she still couldn’t die. Finally after a week, Kai was sick of her mopping and he practically drug her out of her room.

Because of his uncle, Kai had managed to get Kenna in for a heart transplant, it was extremely risky and the doctors didn’t want to do it, but eventually they had and after eight weeks, Kennedy was healthier then she’d ever been, the surgery unfortunately for her had been a success.

Then there was the wedding, it hadn’t been Kenna’s choice in fact she’d said no over and over again until Kai brought Charlie and Krista into the deal and used them as a bargaining chip. All the while Jack and Kai had been getting filthy rich off of her brother’s drug. They found a way to replicate it and were making bank on it. So eventually Kai had bought an expensive mansion on the beach, for her, Dahlia, Jack and himself.

Kennedy had finally gotten everything she’d thought she wanted, aside from Kai’s beatings. She was healthy, Kai bought her whatever she wanted, and he’d insisted Charlie move in. The only thing she didn’t have was Nate and Keegan and that killed her every single day. It didn’t help that Charlie went to visit Nate and Keegan almost weekly and according to Charlie they both weren’t too fond of her.

Ultimately both her and Dahlia were trapped and they’d be trapped for the rest of their lives. Kenna tortured herself every single day and she desperately wished she could go back to the days when he biggest threat was Austen.

“KC...Earth to K?” Charlie’s voice brought her from her thoughts as she sat down next to her on the lounge chair. Kenna removed her sunglasses placing them on the top of her head. “Samuel is having a party tonight and it would be greatly appreciated if I could get some cash to get a new outfit?” Charlie begged. She’d grown up so much in the last year Kenna could barely keep up. “Nice shiner sis.” she added seeing Kenna’s fresh black eye.

Kennedy sighed “Charlie, there’s money in my purse. Don’t be stupid, I love you.” She said simply as if she was too exhausted to fight and that’s how Kenna had become, she’d lost most of her fight.

“Have fun Princess.” Kai said as him and Charlie passed in the doorway, his nickname for Charlie made her scoff. Kai had never touched Charlie, he wouldn’t go that far unless Kenna pushed him, which was more or less the reason she’d lost her fight. “What was that for?” Kai spat as Charlie left the room.

“What was what for, babe.” Kenna sighed. Kai rolled his eyes as he lend on the railing of the balcony looking out over the ocean.

“You know Kennedy I don’t like to hurt you. I’ve given you everything.” He sighed turning back to face her letting the silence fall between them for a moment before he spoke again. “Jack and I are leaving for a few weeks, we have some business to attend to in Cuba.” He explained. “Were leaving in an hour.” He said leaning down and placing his lips to her, before leaving her alone once again with her thoughts.

Keegan tried to tell himself over and over again that Kenna had only done it to protect herself and he didn’t mind that and Dahlia didn’t know. But he had so much time to think that eventually he’d stopped trying to convince himself. Dahlia and Kenna had both been in on it, he believed Dahlia actually loved him, but her and Kenna had sold both him and Keegan out in order to save their own tails and the more he thought about it the more angry he got.

Him and Nate had their hearing together, they’d been incarcerated together, and they’d surprisingly been cell mates. The two of them weren’t messed with much simply because they had started being referred to by other inmates as the twins. Keegan was the brains and the fighter, whereas Nate was under minding and willing to do dirty work. They’d become a pretty frightening pair. But, Keegan knew going in it was either kill or be killed.

The year had passed by fairly fast at least for Keegan, because he kept his self-busy. Making friends in high places and studying everyone. He’d also spent a lot of time thinking about that night, mad at himself for missing all the signs and he didn’t care if Kenna was his flesh and blood she was as good as dead to him.

“Callaway…your sister’s here to see you.” The guard said causing Keegan to smirk as he stood up and two guards led him to the open visitation room. He sat down in the seat across from Charlie.

“You look like shit Keegan.” She smirked “You know it’s not..” she started but before she got the chance to finish Keegan cut her off.

“It’s not Kennedy’s damn fault.” He said harshly, harsher then he meant to. “I’m sick of fucking hearing it Char…she sold us out and she can burn in hell for all I care.” He said raising his voice.

“Alright Callaway obviously you’re not in a visiting kind of mood.” The guard said grabbing him roughly and pulling him up from his seat as he lead him back to his cell. Keegan had become a lot dark and more bitter. He was easily ready to murder Kai, Jack, and possibly Kenna and go back to prison once he got out.

He sat back down on his bottom bunk, letting out a deep sigh. He’d avoided talking to Charlie because him and Nate were going to be released in the next couple of hours and he didn’t want Charlie knowing. Him and Nate were getting off because they’d made all the right friends.

The next year of her life was even more a mess than the first seventeen had been. Jack and Kai had started selling and reproducing Keegan's drug, and they were making a lot off of it. So much, in fact, that Kai bought the four of them a mansion on the beach that she fucking hated. It was nice and all, huge, spacious, with everything anyone could possibly want. But it might as well have been a prison. Every day she missed their little house. Life there hadn't been easy, but life hadn't been easy for her anywhere and at least at the old house, she'd had something that was hers. Nothing she owned anymore belonged to her. It all belonged to Jack and so did she.

At first, she wouldn't leave her room. She cried for at least two weeks straight. When she wasn't fucking somebody, she was sobbing her eyes out and getting high, but eventually, she gave up. Because it was useless. There was no point in fighting or being sad, or even angry about anything that was happening in her life anymore because she'd completely lost control of it. It wasn't her life anymore to control. So she got over it.

She didn't sober up, and she didn't stop hating her life, but she did harden up. She stopped crying. She stopped fighting. And she stopped caring. Kai and Kenna got married, but she didn't go to the wedding. She'd started secluding herself more and more, drawing away from everyone around her. She rarely talked to Kenna. Or anyone for that matter.

When she was in a room with others, she sat by Jack and stayed quiet. At a party, she got fucked up and then went to her room and had sex. That's really all she did anymore. Drugs and have sex. The sex was all she was good for, and the drugs helped her accept that. She pushed Tristan away, treating him so cruelly that he rarely came by anymore. She pushed everyone away, becoming so hard and cruel that, when you did speak to her, it was impossible because she was just a raging bitch.

Dahlia did her best to forget about Keegan. To pretend he'd never happened. It was hard, but she'd had a lot of time, and she'd gotten to the point where he only snuck up on her every once in a while when she was sober, and that was easily handled. All she had to do was shoot up and he was gone.

When it came to relationships, she had none. She'd fuck the guys Jack wanted her to, but that was about it. The closest thing that counted was Andrew. Because he came over more than the others and Jack didn't mind because, as long as he let him sleep with her for free as often as he wanted, Andrew kept the cops away from Jack and Kai. Which was more important than money, seeing as they were making a shit ton off the drugs anyway. In fact, Jack was making so much, he didn't sell her off for money a anymore. He used her to close deals or clear his head of debts, or whatever other problem came into his life that could be solved by offering her to someone. So he still used her. Just not for money, and not quite as frequently. Which Andrew didn't mind. She was with him 4 or 5 nights out of the week, the other two or three she was with someone Jack picked.

Surprisingly, as long as she kept herself high and stayed bitchy to everyone, it wasn't a hard existence. It was repetitive, and boring, but it was simple and uncomplicated. For the first time in her life, she knew what was coming every single day. Nothing happened behind her back anymore and she wasn't exactly being taken advantage of, because she was letting them use her willingly, so it was easy. All she had to do was stay high. When she wasn't, she was miserable, but, when she was, she was happy with her fucked up, but, uncomplicated life.

Dahlia wasn't totally sure what time it was when Andrew rolled off her. The night before had been her eighteenth birthday, but she hadn't wanted to make a deal out of it so she told no one. Tristan knew, but he hadn't so much as come over, just left a card in the mailbox. Jack had never really cared enough to remember her birthday, so he hadn't even said anything. Kai didn't know when her birthday was because she didn't know him well enough. Kenna probably knew, but Dahlia had avoided her.

So, in the end, she'd ended up calling Andrew and he took her out to dinner, then a bar, and then back home where they'd spent the rest of the night in bed and that was the extent of her birthday. The food had been okay, the bar she could hardly even remember because she'd been fucked up, but the sex was great at least. They'd gone all night, and it was sometime mid-morning or afternoon when he finally rolled off her.

Dahlia fought to catch her breath as she rolled over. Andrew reached over and wrapped his arms around her, bringing her back to his chest as he kissed her neck softly and she closed her eyes and moaned. "Happy birthday." He whispered against her skin.

"It's not my birthday anymore." She said, and he shrugged and squeezed her tighter. She grabbed a bottle of pills off her nightstand and popped a few, offering some to Andrew, who just shook his head. He didn't do a lot of drugs. He drank. A lot. And he never said anything when she did drugs, but he was a cop, so he never really did anything. He'd already been sleeping with a minor and helping out a couple of drug dealers. He'd probably lose his job if he pushed it too far. Which seemed ridiculous to her, but she never said anything.

"Drew." She whispered softly and set the bottle back on her nightstand.

He moved her hair and kissed the back of her neck, making his way slowly down her spine, making her moan again and him smirk against her skin. "What baby?" He asked between kisses.

Dahlia rolled over so she was facing him. "Last night was nice. Thank you." She said and he laughed.

"That's probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me." He teased and she rolled her eyes as he rolled on top of her again and kissed her collarbone. "Think you can go a little longer?" He asked as he brought his lips down on hers hard, and she shook her head because she was exhausted, but her answer didn't really matter. They went another round anyway.

The year passed by slowly. Too slowly. It was driving Nate insane. The only thing he was glad about was that him and Keegan had ended up being cellmates. Otherwise he probably would not have made it through a week let alone an entire year.

Him and Keegan did okay. They weren't exactly soft to begin with, but, in order to survive, they'd become even tougher, and gotten a hell of a lot closer. They were pretty frightening, so survival wasn't hard. What was hard was the consistent hatred and anger he had in him. He lost his temper too often, and his pain at what Kenna had done had turned into a boiling anger that he took out on everyone and everything.

At first, he'd tried to tell himself he loved her. That it wasn't her fault. That she'd done it for Krista and Charlie. But he couldn't keep that up for very long. It was probably true. She'd probably been blackmailed into it. But, for some reason, it felt too much like lying to himself. If she really cared so much, she'd have found a way to visit him. Maybe not even directly, if she couldn't get away from Kai, but she could have at least sent something with Krista when she came, or something in that vicinity. But there was nothing from her, so what else was he to assume, other than that she'd moved on, and liked her life with Kai now?

And that pissed him off. Because Kai was an ass, and yet he got the only thing Nate had ever really wanted. The only thing he'd been willing to stay for instead of run from like he usually did.

Krista had visited him at first. She was upset because Charlie had moved in with Kenna and Kai, leaving her alone with their father and brother again, and even that made him angry, but there was nothing either of them could do about it. She'd come every chance she got in the beginning, which was hard, seeing as she had no one to drive her, but she'd made it anyway and he'd beem grateful at first.

But it had gotten to the point where Nate eventually didn't even want to talk to her. So she'd come less and less until she just stopped coming alltogether and it hurt, but he was glad. Because she was always clinging to the hope that someday, he would be her big brother and save her, but he knew it could never happen. She was better off without him. She was a survivor. She'd be okay.

His brother came a few times too, but only to taunt and threaten him. His father came once for the same reason. Other than that though, the only person Nate spoke to was Keegan.

He glanced up as Keegan came back from visiting with Charlie, despite the fact that he'd just left minutes ago. "That was quick." He said simply.

After a minute of silence and her thoughts drifting back to Nate, she realized she didn’t want to be alone. She got up and followed Kai. Inside she found him with the suite case on their bed, half full. She didn’t exactly love Kai, but being with him was better than being alone and she hadn’t actually been alone since they’d been married.

She lend in the door way watching him for a long moment before going into the room full and grabbing a cigarette, lighting it and taking a long drag, blowing perfect smoke rings into the air in front of her. He came back out from the closet and looked at her for a moment before putting his stuff into the suitcase.

“Don’t leave me.” She finally said and she hated how desperate she sounded. He paused what he was doing and turned to look at her as if he was shocked.

“What? No sarcastic comments?” He smirked and she rolled her eyes. “I’d stay, but this is important.” He shrugged and he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms, pressing his lips to hers roughly and she kissed him back moaning against his lips. He pulled away leaning his forehead against hers.

“Then show me you’ll miss me.” She smirked and he matched her smirk.

The two of them shot up and spent the next hour together, but finally he rolled off her and she sighed, pulling the sheet up around her as she watched him slip on his pants, she was starting to come down from her high.

“KC, don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone.” He said in a serious tone and she sighed falling back on the bed about to sarcastically answer him, but he spoke before she had the chance. “And, dye your hair back blonde before I come back. I’m sick of the dark hair.” He said and with that he slipped out of the room suite case and all.

In frustrated Kennedy to no end, he controlled everything she did from the cloths she wore to the color she dyed her hair. He told her to dye it dark brown, because he was tired of the blonde and so she did and now he wanted it blonde again. She rolled her eyes at the thought. What did it matter he was leaving for two weeks to fuck a whole bunch of girls, while he had guys watching her to make sure Austen didn’t even come over.

After they’d gotten married she wasn’t allowed to sleep with anyone but him, but the same rule didn’t apply to him. She stood up slipping on her bra and under ward, grabbing her short white silk robe and slipping it on, before heading down stairs.

Keegan was so frustrated, he was scared he’d beat the hell out of both body guards and get another few years, but he thankfully had been able to control his temper. It was bad enough that Kai had his sister and Jack had D, but Kai had to take it another step and bring Charlie into the mix. He could barely see Charlie because it just reminded him of Kenna and Kai and everything snowballed from there.

"That was quick." Nate said simply and he shrugged.

“Yeah, well, I can’t stand Charlie defending Kennedy.” He hissed, thinking about the reason him and Nate were in the situation they were in just made his blood boil and he could feel his temper start to rise.

“Callaway…Harris” another guard came a few minutes later. “Looks like the two of you are being released. Let’s get you boys out of here.” With that a few guards came and escorted the two of them to the front.

It had taken close to three hours for them to process both Nate and Keegan’s paper work, but once they were finished the gate to the prisoned was opened and Lilo was waiting to take him and Nate back to her house until they could figure out where they want to stay.

Once they were back at the house, Lilo offered Keegan a hit and he debated on whether or not to take it because he’d been clean for the most part for the past year, but eventually he’d given in and taken it. The drugs felt good swimming through his veins again, though it just made his thoughts clearer and his intent more dangerous.

Dahlia rolled off Andrew several hours later as she was coming down from her high. "Fuck." She whispered, trying to catch her breath and he laughed and leaned over, kissing her hard on the lips. She shoved him off and sat up, pulling his shirt on and her underwear before sighing deeply and taking out a cigarette, lighting it, bringing it to her lips. She inhaled and exhaled perfect smoke rings. "Go home Drew." She finally whispered and he sat up behind her and pulled on his jeans, swiping her hair to the side and kissing her neck.

"No, I don't think I will." He laughed and slid his hands up under his shirt she was wearing as he kissed her, and she let him, for a minute, before pushing him off her.

"Fuck off." She spat as she stood and went into her closet, pulling down a bottle of whiskey from the top shelf and popping it open, chugging it. Andrew sat, watching her drink from the bottle as she stared angrily at her clothes, for a little while before finally standing up and walking over, leaning on his arm in her closet doorway, eyes on her. "Go home." She hissed, but he didn't move.

"Why don't you get cleaned up, dress nice, and we'll go do something in town?" He asked, looking her over and she rolled her eyes and turned to him.

"Why? so you can bring me back here and fuck me when it's over? Why not skip all that shit and just spend the day in bed together?" She pushed past him, but he grabbed her wrist and turned her to face him.

"You need to get out of this fucking house." He said, and she took a drag off her cigarette before smirking and putting it out on the hand he had holding her wrist.

He winced and pulled away from her instantly before lashing out, slapping her across the face. They stood there for a second in silence, almost frozen, her head still turned to the side, before he sighed and reached out, pulling her close. He kissed the top of her head and she let him, closing her eyes and leaning into him as his hands rubbed her back. "Come on, we're going to go out." He said, taking her hand and leading her to the bathroom.

They showered together, and then dressed. Nothing nice because she refused to let him take her anywhere high end, but certainly better than going out in his t-shirt, looking like a total crack head. She even put on a little make-up to cover a few bruises, including the one that was now under her eye from the slap, though not much because she had too many to get all of them.

While he was dressing, she slipped back out to the bedroom and grabbed a pill bottle, taking a couple before slipping it in her pocket just as he came out and wrapped an arm around her waist, kissing her. "Don't you have to ask Jack first?" She asked as he lead her outside and he just shook his head and chuckled.

"Nah, that's the best part." He said, and she looked at him confused. "Happy birthday Dahlia." He grinned as they reached the car and he leaned down, kissing her roughly, fisting a hand in her hair, but she was still confused so she pushed him away and looked at him like she was demanding an answer. "Jack left a few hours ago. He'll be gone a few days, and he told me to watch over you and make sure you don't get yourself killed." He laughed and she rolled her eyes. Great. Now he had permission to order her around. "At least he'll be off your back for a while." He said and she shrugged and walked around to the passenger side of the car, getting in.

"Where are we going?" She asked after a while of silence while his free hand rubbed the inside of her thigh and she rested her forehead against the window and watched the sky as they drove.

He shrugged. "Figured we'd just go out to lunch for now, and then, if you want to go somewhere after, we will." He said and she nodded as they pulled up to a restaurant that had an outside patio area. They sat out on the patio and she scooted her seat close to his so they could kiss and touch under the table while they talked and she pretended to read the menu or care that this was the first time she'd been out of the house, except for her "birthday celebration" with him the previous night, in months.

“Yeah, well, I can’t stand Charlie defending Kennedy.” Keegan hissed, and Nate nodded with a bitter sigh, about to say something, but cut himself off and looked up when another guard came over to their cell.

“Callaway…Harris” He said and Nate nodded. “Looks like the two of you are being released. Let’s get you boys out of here.”

It took a while, but, eventually, they were free and Lilo came to pick them up and bring them back to her place where she said they could stay until they figured their shit out. She offered Keegan a hit, and Nate watched as he took it, debating on whether or not to take one as well, before deciding he would, sitting down next to Keegan as the drugs filled his veins, feeling incredible.

"So. We're out." He smirked at Keegan. "What now?"

If it wasn’t for Kai practically forcing food down her throat she would have never gained her weight back. She’d pretty much just accepted the fact that whether or not she liked it, she was a drug dealer’s wife and that was all she’d ever be.

As she got to the bottom of the staircase she saw Dahlia and Andrew slipping out the door and she sighed. She wished she could save her friend, protect her, but Dahlia pushed her away. She still loved her to and so she didn’t push, she’d wait for her to come around, if she ever did.

Kennedy headed into the kitchen pouring herself a cup of coffee as she lend against the counter. She glanced to the back door as it slid open and Kai’s younger brother, Danny, came inside. He looked her over with a smirk, he was only a year younger then Kenna, but she still felt like there was a huge age difference and maybe that was because being married to Kai had mentally aged her at least five years.

“Damn I love coming over here. If you weren’t my brother’s wife.” He said helping himself to a cup of coffee and Kenna rolled her eyes ignoring him. “Speaking of the devil, where is my brother?” he asked.

“Away on business.” Kenna shrugged “He said he’s going to be gone about a week or two…with any luck maybe he just won’t come back.” she sighed as she took a sip of her coffee heading over to the table to sit down. Danny was well aware of how Kenna felt about Kai, because he wasn’t exactly fond of his brother either, but other than his uncle Kai and Kenna were his only family.

“Right.” He nodded leaning against the counter keeping his eyes on Kenna “Well in that case, mind if I crash here for a few days?” He asked hopeful.

“Your uncle kick you out again?” Kennedy sighed, she felt like a mom, constantly looking after both Danny and Charlie. He nodded in reply, Kai was hard on his brother and for some reason, because Danny wasn’t like Kai, his uncle hated him. “Make yourself at home kid.” She smiled “You can stay as long as you want, I’ll deal with your brother.” She smiled.

“Thanks K. I like the dark hair by the way” he said with a charming smile, heading upstairs to one of the guest rooms. Kenna sighed rolling her eyes.

Kenna, left here coffee cup on the table as she headed outside making her way to the dock and sitting down letting her feet graze the water. She hadn’t surfed in what felt like ages, because she had had time to do something so simple. She was tempted now to do it, Kai’s surf board was sitting on the dock and she smirked standing up dropping her rob so she was only in her bra and underwear. She dove into the water, she bobbed back to the top pulling the surf bored off the dock and paddled out. Once she was up, it was like she’d never stopped surfing and for the first time in a year her mind was completely clear and calm.

Keegan was glad to be free, being sober for that year had done nothing all it took was that one hit and he was hooked again, only this time it was ten times worse. He didn’t have Dahlia to tell him not to kill Jack or Kai. He didn’t care about the danger and at this point he didn’t care if he got D back. All he wanted to do was kill Jack and Kai, make his sister pay, and all though he’d never admit it, he wanted D to be free from Jack whether she was with him or not.

It hurt him more then he’d like to admit to know that Dahlia had slept with the cop that arrested him and according to Kai, it was all part of the plan to get him caught. Yet even though D had supposedly played a role in them being set up he didn’t blame her as much as he blamed the other three. So although he wasn’t ready to forgive her, he wasn’t going to be as hard of her.

"So. We're out." Nate smirked and Keegan matched his smirk. "What now?"

“We fuck their world up.” He said simply leaning back in his seat as Lilo made herself comfortable on his lap and he wrapped an arm around her. “Show them who they messed with.” He smirked wickedly as Lilo placed a joint in between his lips and lit it for him.

“Kai and Jack are gone.” Lilo said casually. Keegan looked at her confused. “Their away on business for a week or so…I only know because a friend of mine was sleeping with Jack and he told her.” She shrugged “So D and that back stabbing bitch sister of yours are both alone.” She smirked.

Dahlia let Andrew order for her because she hadn't really been reading the menu. She was too distracted by his hand on her under the table and his lips coming over every once in a while to graze her neck or kiss her lips to really care what the menu said.

She lit a cigarette as the waitress left and swung her legs into his lap with a smile, looking him over. "Thanks for keeping me from going crazy." She whispered, leaning forward and kissing his lips softly. He smirked against them and kissed her back deeply, placing a hand on the back of her neck.

It was so easy to forget Keegan when she was with him. She was a bitch to him and that caused him to act like an ass sometimes, but she could probably be happy with him if she let herself. Though she refused to let herself. Because she didn't deserve happiness, the universe had made that abundantly clear. Everytime she tried for it, her whole world got fucked up. She was sick of trying to obtain something she'd never had.

The sound of someone clearing their throat pulled her from her thoughts and Andrew reluctantly pulled his lips from hers to look at the waitress as she set down their food. It irritated Dahlia, the way his eyes followed the girl around. Enough for her to push her chair away from him and eat in silence the rest of the time.

She mostly picked at her food and watched Andrew as he got up halfway through the meal and flirted with the waitress. When he finally came back for her, he kissed her forehead and asked her if she was ready to go and she nodded and stood, shoving him away from her and walking out to the car quickly.

He followed and got in the driver's side, placing a hand on her knee as he pulled out. "Want to go somewhere else?" He asked, glancing at her, not seeming to notice that anything was wrong. "Movie maybe?"

Dahlia rolled her eyes. "Why?" She asked sarcastically. "So I can watch you get the ticket ladies number?" She spat, knocking his hand off her knee and kicking her feet up on the dashboard. "Take me home." She whispered, turning to look out the window.

He just laughed and turned, headed for the mansion. "Are you jealous Dahli?" He laughed louder. "And here I was thinking nothing could faze you only to find out a little harmless flirting cracks the heartless bitch."

"Oh fuck off." She spat and they drove the rest of the way in silence.

When they got back, she started to storm off towards the house, but he grabbed her wrist and whirled her back around to face him, pulling her lips to his roughly. She tried to push him off, but he only held her tighter and pushed her back against the car. "Sorry babe." He said against her lips, causing her to finally give in and kissed him back.

“We fuck their world up.” Keegan answered as Lilo sat on his lap and he smirked. “Show them who they messed with.” Nate watched as Lilo lit a joint for Keegan before she spoke.

“Kai and Jack are gone.” She said and he raised an eyebrow at her. “They're away on business for a week or so…I only know because a friend of mine was sleeping with Jack and he told her.” She shrugged “So D and that back stabbing bitch sister of yours are both alone.” She smirked.

Nate laughed and rolled his eyes as he grabbed a pack of cigarettes from the coffee table and lit one, glancing at Lilo, then Keegan with a smirk. "Well hell." He said. "They made getting Kenna easy at least." He rolled his eyes as he brought the cigarette to his lips. "Only took a year in prison to fucking make that happen."

Kenna had spent the rest of the day out on the water, surfing and finally when she was finished she paddled back to the dock, pulling herself up and pulling the surf board after her. She sat there for a long moment catching her breath, though she wasn’t nearly as out of breath as she used to be.

Finally once the sun had dried her, to where her cloths were just damp she head towards the house, stopping at her dog’s kennel. She let all three of the dogs out. They still had Alpha which was Dhalia’s and Kai had gotten her two dogs. Salem and Proxy, a brother and sister and at first she hadn’t wanted them. But, she was actually grateful for them, because they kept her company when she was lonely and on occasion they warded of Kai.

Alpha stayed out back and played while Salem and Proxy followed Kenna inside, they were so silent half the time she forgot they were there. She feed them before pulling a bottle of vodka from the fridge and pooping it open taking a huge swig, waiting for the dogs to finish before they headed up stairs to retreat to hear room for the rest of the night.

She hated her room with a passion, because it was so perfect and clean kept, if anything was out of place Kai had a fit. She headed to the stereo slipping in a CD and turning it up loud. That was the one thing that hadn’t changed about Kenna, you knew not to bother her when she had her music on.

The song and Kenna swayed to the music as she took another swig of the liquor. She set the bottle down on the nightstand and both dogs jumped on the bed, laying down at it’s foot, the two of them were extremely protective of Kenna.

She searched through the drawer pulling out a needle and filling it with more than usual. She wanted to be fucked up. Charlie would be gone all night and so she wouldn’t have to hide it. She pressed the needle to her arm, moaning as the drug filled her veins she’d be lucky if she didn’t OD, but she could care less. She took another swig of alcohol, tossing the needle on the nightstand as she sunk lower into her bed fully intending on spending the whole night alone and fucked up.

"Well hell." Nate said and Keegan glanced to him "They made getting Kenna easy at least." Keegan laughed "Only took a year in prison to fucking make that happen."

Keegan could assume the only reason Kai and Jack had left the girls alone was because they never expect the two of them to get out of prison at least not for another two years at the least and so, they took it as there chance to get business done and Keegan was honestly surprised they hadn’t taken the girls with them.

“Yeah, really fucking easy…maybe will use Kenna’s blood to stain Kai’s wall’s let him know were back.” he smirked darkly. He turned to Lilo “You better get a tough skin Nate, because if I know Kenna, she’ll play the victim.” He said bitterly.

Keegan was all rage and it didn’t help that he was getting drugged up. If he was sober, he might be able to reason with himself and not hurt Kenna and Dahlia, but there was no one to protect them other than Kai’s men and he doubted he had very many looking after them, because no one was stupid enough to mess with Kai and jack.

“So will spend the rest of the day getting fucked up and will head over at sunset.” He shrugged like they were simply going to a party.

“They don’t live at their old house, no one lives there. Kai bought a huge ass mansion on the east side of the island where all the rich sobs live, I could drop you guys off there.” Lilo offered as she took a hint of the joint she had and Keegan nodded, pressing his lips to hers. There was nothing in the kiss for him, it held nothing to what he remembered of him and D’s kisses, but that had all been a lie and it didn’t matter now.

After a while of standing there, kissing him, Dahlia pulled away. "It's okay." She finally answered with a sigh and he smirked at her and took her hand in his, lacing their fingers together.

"You okay?" He asked, looking her over and she glanced up at him.

"Yeah, why?" She said, confused.

"You're a little off today." He laughed and nudged her teasingly. "You keep saying thank you, and accepting my apology, and, in general, just being decent." He teased and she rolled her eyes and nudged him hard, making him laugh as he used the hand he was holding to pull her lips back to hers briefly before dragging her inside.

Surprisingly, he didn't drag her off to the bedroom. Instead, they went to the living room and she lit a cigarette, watching him with raised eyebrows as he went and put a movie in the DVD. "Sit down, I'm going to get us some alcohol, and we're going to watch a few movies," he came closer and closer as he spoke, placing his hands on her hips and pulling her close. "Then we'll spend the rest of the night fucking."

Dahlia laughed and pushed him off. "Knew that'd be in there somewhere." She said and he just shrugged and slipped out of the room. While he was gone, Dahlia took her pill bottle out of her pocket and dumped a handful into her palm before knocking them back and sitting down on the couch, slipping the bottle away just as he came back into the room with a bottle of whiskey and a bottle of vodka.

He handed her the whiskey and she smirked at him. "You know me so well." She said with a roll of her eyes as she popped the top open and took a long drink. He flipped off the lights and sat next to her, pulling her close and kissing her hard before starting the movie. She leaned against him, his arm wrapped around her, her legs up on the couch next to her as they watched the movie. The pills she'd taken made her head spin and, as she drank more and more of the whiskey, she was finding it harder and harder to care about, or even concentrate on, the movies they were watching.

So, as it was starting to get dark out, about half way through the third, or maybe even fourth one, she wasn't sure, she sat up on her knees and started to kiss his neck before climbing into his lap, straddling him as she kissed her lips. "I think I'm ready to get on with that third part of the plan." She whispered against his lips as she kissed him, grinding her body against his, and he smirked and kissed her back, wrapping an arm around her waist to pull her body tighter against his. Andrew placed a hand on the back of her neck and flipped her onto her back on the couch, climbing over her. His lips started to move down her neck and she moaned.

"Me too." He whispered against her skin as he started to take her clothes off.

He was ready for whatever Kenna had to say. He'd had a year of just sitting around being pissed at her. Nothing she could say would fix the fact that she'd sold him and her brother out for Kai.

“So we'll spend the rest of the day getting fucked up and we'll head over at sunset.” Keegan shrugged and Nate nodded. Sounded good to him.

“They don’t live at their old house, no one lives there. Kai bought a huge ass mansion on the east side of the island where all the rich sobs live, I could drop you guys off there.” Lilo explained and Nate sighed as Keegan started kissing her, standing and heading towards the kitchen to grab some liquor.

He pulled down a bottle and leaned against the counter as he drank it, ready to spend the rest of the day getting shitfaced, and then head over to Kai's to get revenge on Kenna for what she'd done.

Kennedy laid on her big bed alone with her two dogs and she was seriously contemplating suicide, she’d had Kai’s gun sitting next to her or the past thirty minutes or so. What did it matter if she was dead or alive. Kai didn’t just own her, he owned her life and her sister and her best friend. Nothing was hers, how was that living at all and no doubt Keegan and Nate would want her dead once they got out.

She wasn’t exactly sure how long she’d been laying there but she’d gone through her entire bottle of vodka, shot up again, snorted a few lines of coke, the CD she’d put in was on its second rotation, and it was dark outside. So she assumed she’d been in there for a couple hours. Not that it matter, no one was looking for her because no one cared or at least that’s what she’d convinced herself.

Every time she started to sober up her thoughts went to Nate and that’s why she had to get shitfaced. To forget that she’d sold Keegan and Nate out, there was no excuse for it and if she could go back to that night, she’d have tried to stop it, tried to warn them. But, it was too late and according to Charlie they both pretty much hated her and if D found out, she’d hate her to.

She hadn’t even realized the tears that started to roll down her eyes, she was fucked up that much was obvious, but now the drugs weren’t even blocking out her guilt. She itched her arm as if she was having withdrawals, because her skin felt like it was crawling. She was tweaking, worse then she had in a long time. She let her self-cry harder as she lend against her head bored pulling her knees to her chest and wrapping her arms around her legs hugging them.

Keegan had spent the rest of the day shooting up and snorting. Smoking joint after joint, Lilo had called a few friends over for Nate. While him and Lilo spent a good portion of the day in bed. When he finally rolled off of her it was dark out. They hadn’t exactly left at sunset, but that didn’t matter. Because the longer he had to think about it the more pissed off and angry he got and the drugs fuel his rage.

He stood up slipping his jeans back on and he could literally feel the rage inside of his body, it was safe to say Keegan had grown darker in prison and the drugs highlighted that side of him, brought it out and made him that much more dangerous and he really just wanted to hurt something or someone the way D and K had hurt him and Nate. He sat on the edge of Lilo’s bed and she came up behind him, kissing along his bare shoulders.

She paused at his ear and he could feel her breath on his skin “Was I a better fuck then your girlfriend?” she whispered and Keegan’s fists clenched he stood up glaring at her, before slapping her across the face as hard as he could. He grabbed her wrist pulling her up off the bed harshly. The fear that was written all over her face caused him to smirk darkly.

“No.” he hissed “You meant nothing, shemeant everything.” He said in a low voice and Lilo looked away but he forced her to look at him, blood ran from her nose and her eye had already started to swell from the slap. “Get dressed.” He ordered pushing her back down on the bed. “I’m in the mood to fuck someone up.” He said slipping out of the room. “Nate let’s go!” he yelled as he walked through the house towards the front door.

Dahlia and Andrew had started on the couch, but, at some point, had moved to her room and, by the time he rolled off her, she was exhausted. She rolled onto him, resting her head on his chest, and he wrapped an arm around her, rubbing her spine, making her moan softly. He lit a cigarette and she reached up and took it from him before laying back down on his chest and smoking it. She felt him chuckle as he lit himself a new one.

She was starting to come down from the pills and the whiskey, and so her mind was starting to wander to places she'd spent the last year getting shitfaced to keep it away from. She sighed softly and sat up at the edge of the bed, reaching over it and grabbing herself a second bottle of whiskey, taking a long drink as she sat there, looking at nothing in particular.

She could feel Andrew's eyes on her back for a while before he sat up behind her and moved her hair, kissing the back of her neck, then along her shoulder. "What's wrong?" He whispered softly, letting his hands slide from her shoulders, down her arms gently as he continued to kiss her. "You've been a little bipolar all day."

Dahlia sighed and raised the bottle to her lips, leaning back into his kiss and touch, closing her eyes. "I was just thinking about Jack." She lied. She'd really been thinking about Keegan, but she wasn't willing to admit it, so she went with Jack instead.

"You know..." He trailed off before spinning her and flipping her quickly onto her back, climbing over her and looking down at her. His hand slid down her body and rubbed the inside of her thigh gently as he held her eyes. "I could take you away from him. Or at least get him to leave you alone for good."

Dahlia rolled her eyes as she brought her cigarette to her lips and inhaled deeply before blowing the smoke out into his face with a smirk. "Trust me babe. Better men have tried." She spat a little bitterly.

"Yeah well, I'm not Keegan." He hissed back, and she could see he was starting to get pissed, and the mention of Keegan's name pissed her off too. "Jack needs me, I don't need him." He shrugged as he wrapped his free hand around her throat and leaned down closer, so their faces were just inches apart. "The minute he doesn't give me what I ask for, I turn him in to my guys and he get's busted." He shrugged. "I can actually protect you from him because he can't say no to me."

With that, he squeezed her throat tighter, constricting her air some as he brought his lips down on hers hard. She tried to push him off, but he just used the hand that was rubbing her thigh to pin her wrists until, eventually, she gave in. Because he was right. He was probably the only guy on the planet that could get whatever they wanted out of Jack because Jack needed his protection, and that was exactly why she was drawn to him. Why she got jealous when he looked at other girls. Because he had power over Jack. "You're right." She moaned into his lips and he smirked against hers.

"Damn right I am." He laughed as he kissed down her neck before taking her cigarette from her, taking a drag before putting it out, and then her whiskey too, taking a drink before tossing it away, then bringing his lips down on hers hard. Dahlia grinned against them and wrapped her legs around him, swiftly flipping him onto his back so that she was on top of him, bending over him to kiss his neck and chest and lips as they went at it again.

Nate spent the rest of the day getting fucked up, drinking, and fucking Lilo's friends. It felt good to be out of prison finally, and he was more than a little ready to go over to Kai's and hurt Kenna. Because she hurt him, so he wanted to hurt her back.

When the girl who'd he'd spent the last few hours in bed with rolled off him, he glanced at the window to see it was already dark. They hadn't left at sunset, but it didn't really matter. The girl next to him rolled over, kissing his neck and running her hands along his chest as he reached for a joint and lit it, taking hit before grabbing a bottle and taking a long swig.

“Nate let’s go!” Nate heard Keegan's yelling and he smirked and pushed the girl away, taking a long drink from the bottle and putting the joint out as he sat up and pulled his jeans on. He stood, pulling his shirt on over his head, turning and heading for the door before turning back and going to the nightstand, snorting the last line of coke that was sitting there before standing again.

"Where are you going?" The girl asked, watching him.

"None of your damn business." He said simply before slipping out of the room, catching a glimpse of Keegan heading out the front and following after him quickly. Feeling more than ready.

After a long crying session, Kennedy had finally started to sober up and she was honestly too tired to shoot up again, because she’d just about cried herself to sleep. Instead though she step off her bed and headed into her bathroom. Taking the gun with her, Salem lifted his head and watched Kenna. Proxy on the other hand jumped down and followed her owner faithfully into the bathroom.

She called Salem and the dog lazily followed as she opened the back door to let them go outside. She turned the stereo, down so the music was merely background music to feel the void of silence. She stashed the gun back in Kai’s closet, before heading into the bathroom running the faucet until the water turned warm and she rinsed her face. Finally turning off the water and looking at herself in the mirror. She was somehow still beautiful and she hated herself for that.

She looked older though, the darker hair made her almost unrecognizable and added a few years to her appearance, but in all honesty she liked her dark hair, because her blonde hair reminded her of how simple the summer before had been with Nate until he’d become a threat and Kai got rid of him. She still loved him, she’d still give anything to be with him. But she doubted he felt the same. It was the ultimate punishment and Kai loved how miserable Kenna had become.

The dog’s scratching at the back door and their low growls followed by deep barks brought her from her thoughts. She sighed walking over to the door, something was bothering them, they wanted back in, but she’d just let them out. She rolled her eyes, sitting back down on her bed, but the dogs only seemed to get worse.

“What the fuck is your problem.” She said more to herself shaking her head and simply trying to drown them out.

The ride wasn’t all that long a good twenty minuet’s until the house became more elaborate and the cars flasher. Keegan scoffed at the thought of Dahlia and Kennedy living in the lap of luxury while they rotted and struggled to survive in hell. Lilo remind quite the entire drive, he’d never laid a hand on her and he should feel bad, but he didn’t and it felt good not to give a shit.

Finally they pulled up to the house and Keegan smirked. Lilo stopped in front of the large house. He dug through his backpack pulling out a two pistols and passing them to Nathan before pulling out another fro himself. Lilo looked at him in shock.

“Keegan, you’re not serious are you?” she whispered. “I thought you were just going to rough them up a bit.” She said with a shuddering breath.

“Will see how we feel when we get in there.” He smirked “Go big or go home right.” He said “Don’t wait for us babe, will be a while.” He said leaning across the seat and pressing his lips hard to hers and she pushed him away, he let out a dark laugh rolling his eyes as he got out of the car. He lend back down in the window so he was eye level with Lilo. “Now don’t narc us out or your next.” He said seriously before standing up right again and glancing to Nate.

Keegan didn’t waste any time as he headed around back, he wasn’t stupid enough to go in through the front door, though in all honesty it didn’t look like Kai had anyone guarding the house. The back door was unlocked and so they slipped in quietly. The house was silent for the most part aside from the murmur of music coming upstairs and he smirked, that was either Kenna of Dahlia.

“You take Kenna, I’ll find D.” he said in a low voice. He wanted to get revenge on Kenna, but he knew that Nate would want sometime alone with her the same way Keegan wanted time alone with D before they actually did anything.

Keegan headed up stairs, splitting off from Nate once they got up their he opened a few door but with no luck, before hearing what sounded like D’s voice. Keegan opened the door silently slipping in, his pistol in hand. The room was huge and he heard voices and he recognized the other one immediately and it was like someone had stabbed him in the heart she was still seeing him after all this time, the made feed into his rage.

He continued deeper into the room stopping and leaning against the wall across from the bed, watching them for a moment before clearing his throat to make himself noticed.

“Well, it’s nice to see you didn’t suffer while I was gone.” He said harshly. “Should have known you’d sleep with the enemy, baby Dahl.” He hissed glaring at the two of them in bed.

Dahlia heard someone clear their throat behind her, but it didn't exactly register. She was too distracted by Andrew. She didn't even realize there was someone else in the room until he spoke. “Well, it’s nice to see you didn’t suffer while I was gone.” The voice made her freeze. She had to be hearing things. “Should have known you’d sleep with the enemy, baby Dahl.” His nickname for her made her shoulders tense and she rolled off Andrew quickly, pulling the sheets up over her as she glared at him glaring at her.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Was all she could think to say. Because she couldn't possibly be seeing what she thought she was seeing Keegan was standing there, glaring at her and the fact that he'd caught her fucking Andrew made her heart twist. Suddenly, she needed something in her system because, now she was completely sober, and Andrew wasn't touching her anymore and she might start freaking out at the sight of Keegan and the way he was looking for her if she didn't get something quick.

Andrew sat up and pulled his jeans on, before looking at Keegan, confused. "You're supposed to have five years." He said, looking him over. "What the fuck did you do, break out?"

"Drew." Dahlia whispered harshly, trying to get him to shut up as she rolled over and grabbed his shirt from the floor, slipping it on over her head before reaching for her nightstand, pulling it open a little too hard. The drawer fell out and crashed to the floor, spilling all over the place and she cursed and got out of the bed, digging through the mess for something decent to take as she lit herself a cigarette, fumbling with the lighter a bit before she finally managed it.

Her heart was pounding. Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck. Was all she could think as she looked for something. "Drew, get out of here." She ordered him. Keegan was pissed, that much she could tell, and she didn't want Andrew getting in the middle of whatever was about to happen. What was about to happen? For the first time in a long time, Dahlia was genuinely scared. She just never thought it'd be of Keegan. What did he think of her? What was he going to do to her?

Andrew stood and looked at Keegan before looking down at her reluctantly as she dug through a mountain of spilled pills, joints, bags of powder, needles, and so on, smoking her cigarette. "I said get out!" She shouted suddenly before sinking into a sitting position, back against the bed, knees up, one hand in her hair, the other smoking. Andrew came over to her and knelt, kissing her forehead. "I'll be right back." He whispered and she knew what he was doing. He was going to go out to his car and get his gun.

She didn't watch him go as she reached down and grabbed a random handful of pills, knocking them back quickly and bringing her cigarette to her lips. With any luck, she'd just taken a deadly mix and it'd kill her before Keegan got the chance. She looked up at him before standing slowly, letting out a breath of smoke as she glared at him. "What the fuck do you want?" She spat at him as she waited for the pills to kick in and take away some of her fear.

Eventually, they pulled up to the house and Nate scoffed at the sight of it. It was the gaudiest thing he'd ever seen. There was no way in hell the girls liked living there. They'd liked their old house. A lot. And it had been the smallest fucking thing he'd ever seen. Nate watched as Keegan pulled out a couple of pistols and handed them to him. He took them and nodded as he pulled one out for himself.

“Keegan, you’re not serious are you?” Lilo whispered, sounding suddenly concerned. “I thought you were just going to rough them up a bit.” She said.

“We'll see how we feel when we get in there. Go big or go home right?” Keegan answered and Nate smirked. “Don’t wait for us babe, we'll be a while.” He said and Nate looked away as he kissed her, getting out of the car and standing, waiting as he leaned down to say something else to Lilo that he didn't care enough to hear before he disappeared around the back of the house and Nate followed.

Surprisingly, there didn't seem to be anyone watching the place. The back door was even unlocked so they got in quickly and easily, which was kind of a shock, but he didn't really question it, following Keegan quietly through the house, able to hear music coming from upstairs.

“You take Kenna, I’ll find D.” Keegan said quietly and Nate nodded as they headed up the stairs and split. Nate really didn't have to check any of the rooms. He just followed the sound of her music until he found the right door.

He stood outside it for a second before turning the handle quietly and pushing it open, seeing her there and smirking. "Miss me babe?" He said with a dark grin as he stood in the doorway, looking her over.

Kenna was just about to call it a night, she was exhausted and she just wanted to shut her thoughts down. The only thing keeping her from passing out was the dogs continuous barking. She sat up in her bed before hearing her bedroom door open.

Her heart nearly stopped when she locked eyes with him. He wasn’t really there. She kept telling herself over and over again. Everything seemed to slow down and her breathing picked up. She was hoping, praying this was all just a bad dream or she was seeing things as a side effect of the drugs.

"Miss me babe?" he spoke and his words word bitter, forcing her to the realization that he was really there.

She wanted to apologize, but she could already tell he couldn’t believe her. He was fucked up and there was no use in reasoning with him. He’d come to hurt her, possibly kill her which meant Keegan was there to and she’d honestly rather Nathan hurt her then Keegan. Because she wouldn’t be able to fight Nate, if Keegan got involved she fight back. She stood up keeping her eyes on him, she wasn’t going to try and run, she was going to let him do what he wanted.

“Kill me.” She said simply “You’d be doing me a favor.” She said a little harsher then she meant, she could feel her anger start to rise, she hated the way he was looking at her, she’d never get him to believe she hadn’t done it purposely and that killed her.

He watched Dahlia, keeping his eyes on her as she pulled the drawer open, the continence falling all over the floor. He rolled his eyes as he watched her sink to her knees and dig through stuff. He didn’t move from his spot on the wall simply watched as she told Andrew to leave and after a moment he listened.

Andrew passed him and he debated stopping him, because he was worried he’d call the cops, but in reality, Keegan and Nate had spent a lot of time sweet talking higher ups and whatever they did they could probably get away with it, so he wasn’t all that worried. Once Andrew slipped out of the room, he locked the door so he couldn’t come back in without kicking down the door.

"What the fuck do you want?" Dahlia said sitting on the bed smoking as a wicked smirk painted Keegan’s lips and he made his way slowly over to the bed his light eyes were dark and it wasn’t hard to tell.

Before she had the chance to register what he was doing he grabbed her wrist so roughly he was surprised it hadn’t cracked. He pulled her up off the bed effortlessly glaring at her before tossing her harshly into the nearest wall and closing the space between them quickly, he grabbed her wrist again holding it roughly, so she couldn’t pull away, his face centimeters from her and although he could feel the familiar intoxicating energy between them he ignored it. Had he been sober, he wouldn’t have been able to.

“I think you know what I want D.” he hissed darkly “I want some fucking answers.” He spat wrapping his free hand around her neck tightly.

Dahlia watched as a wicked smirk came to his lips, frightening her and she watched him as he made his way over towards the bed where she was sitting, eyes dark. What was he going to do to her? Was all she could think as she sat there, smoking her cigarette.

She wasn't looking at him, she was looking down so, taking her by surprise, he lashed out and grabbed her wrist roughly, making her wince in pain. He pulled her to her feet and threw her against a wall so quickly she closed her eyes and gritted her teeth against the pain that shot up her spine. He closed the space between them and grabbed her wrist again, holding her roughly, making her swallow back a cry of pain. His face was just a breath away from hers and she could feel the heat coming off him, despite the fact that she was afraid of him, though she pushed the thought away.

"I think you know what I want D." He hissed darkly and she turned her face to the side and took a deep breath, feeling the pills start to come over her. "I want some fucking answers." Dahlia winced and closed her eyes as she felt his hand wrap around her neck.

"Answers to what, Keegan?" She asked, glaring at him, hating the way his voice sounded accusing her.

They locked eyes and he smirked at the expression in hers. Looking like a deer in the headlights, trying to figure out if he was real or not. He could see her mind thinking over something and he wondered what she was. If she was trying to come up with something to say that would fix things, or if she was going to try and explain away what she'd done as black mail and play the victim like Keegan had said.

Nate was surprised when she didn't do either of those things. She stood, not running, not looking afraid as she looked at him. “Kill me.” She said simply and he raised his eyebrows. “You’d be doing me a favor.” She said a little harshly and he smirked at her.

"Why?" He asked looking over her with a grin. "Not happy here, in this great house?" He laughed darkly and grabbed her wrist, pulling her close. "Feel guilty about something?" He hissed at her, holding her eyes, glaring.

She wasn’t scared of Nate, because she hoped deep down he had enough since not to actually kill her, but that was mere hope. Keegan on the other hand, she knew him all too well and he wouldn’t hesitate. He started closing the distance between them, but she didn’t move. There was a part of her that was still in shock that he was even out and that was what was keeping her from freaking out completely.

"Why?" he asked arrogantly, grinning down at her and she held his eyes. "Not happy here, in this great house?" his laugh sent chills through her body and he grabbed her wrist roughly pulling her close causing her to wince. "Feel guilty about something?" He hissed darkly and she could see his anger rising.

She let silence fall between them for a long moment, trying her best to fight back tears. She couldn’t stand the look in his eyes. It wasn’t him at least not the Nate she knew and she had a feeling that Nate was gone forever. She wanted to look away so badly it hurt, but she could.

“Yeah.” She finally whispered. “It was you and Keegan or Charlie and Krista.” She said with a shaky voice, swallowing back a flood of tears. “What would you have done?” she finally couldn’t look at him anymore and he eyes fell to the carpet.

She wanted him to hurt her, to make her feel something. She’d been numb this past year without him. She knew if he hit her or said something awful at least then she’d feel something. She pushed herself away from him harshly, taking a few steps back to create space between them.

“I’m not going to play the victim, I sold you and Keegan out.” She said raising her voice a bit, but it was weaker then she wanted it to be. “You think I really fucking wanted my boyfriend and my brother to go to prison…you think I want to be married to Kai.” She said closing her eyes and taking a breath. “If you my life has been perfect this past year…you’re sadly mistaken…it’s been hell.” She said glancing back to him. “Kai owns me Nate…how much. I don’t get freedom. I don’t get to live.” She sighed, running her fingers through her dark hair.

“But that’s what I get, that’s my hell.” She said accepting it for the first time. “I could have done a lot of things. I could have told you that night…but I didn’t.” she said taking a step closer, holding his eyes. “But for what it’s worth, I never stopped loving you.” She knew her words were falling on deaf ears, because he was high and drunk, but she had to try, because if he did hurt her and she never got to see him again she at least wanted him to know.

Whatever Dahlia had taken was starting to set in he could hear it in her voice and feel it in her body the way she’d gone from tense to a bit looser. It pissed him off because he wanted to know why she’d turned on him, if she told him she didn’t love him then at least he could try and move on.

"Answers to what, Keegan?" he rolled his eyes tightening his grip on her neck, he hated how clueless she sounded like he had no idea what he was talking about.

“Why’d you and Kenna fuck us over?” he glared at her. “What the fuck did I ever do to you babe? Because I’ll I ever did was try to protect you.” He hissed and even though he was shitfaced there was still pain that he couldn’t hide in his voice.

She’d told him she loved him and he’d stupidly believed it. The first time Keegan had ever let himself fall for someone, he’d gotten fucked over and it hurt worse than any other pain he’d felt and he just couldn’t understand it. He’d have taken D and all her problems, because he was just as messed up as her, yet instead she’d chosen some douche bag cop over him.

“Why him?” He asked losing his grip on her neck. “Why’d you lie to me Dahl? I may have hurt you…but I never lied to you.” The pain was thinker in his voice now and he hated himself and the drugs for not being able to hide it.

Dahlia winced when his grip on her neck tightened, irritated with her. She was afraid of the rage in him, but she didn't show it, just let the pills relax her worked up nerves as she glared back at him.

“Why’d you and Kenna fuck us over?” He glared at her and she looked away from him. “What the fuck did I ever do to you babe? Because I’ll I ever did was try to protect you.” He hissed and the pain in his voice made her wince, despite herself. She hadn't known, but he doubted he'd believe her. It had looked like she'd been in on the whole thing, and, the fact that she was still with Andrew only enforced it.

“Why him?” He asked and his grip on her neck loosened enough for her to push his hand away completely. “Why’d you lie to me Dahl? I may have hurt you…but I never lied to you.” She could practically feel the pain on his words and it killed her.

She pushed him off her and crossed her arms over her chest, holding his eyes. She was going to tell him she hadn't known anything about it, but she knew it wouldn't get through the drugs in his system. He wouldn't believe her. "I didn't know they were fucking you guys over!" She spat bitterly at him, hating the fact that she hadn't tried to visit at least once and say she was sorry, or explain that she'd had nothing to do with it. She'd just given up on them. Before the first year was up.

"He didn't tell me who he was until after I slept with him, and, but then, it was too late anyway!" She was shouting now, frustrated with him. "I never lied to you. I wouldn't."

It fell quiet for a long time as he held her eyes angrily, watching her, leaving it up for her to speak next.

“Yeah.” She finally whispered and he raised his eyebrows at her. “It was you and Keegan or Charlie and Krista.” She said voice shaking. “What would you have done?” She asked as she looked away and her words made his jaw clench because he knew what he would have done. He would have sold her out too. But I would have warned her. He thought bitterly to himself and squeezed her tightly, holding to that thought.

Eventually, she pushed away from him and he watched her put space between them. “I’m not going to play the victim, I sold you and Keegan out.” She said raising her voice a bit, and he raised his eyebrows and listened to her. “You think I really fucking wanted my boyfriend and my brother to go to prison…you think I want to be married to Kai.” She asked and he winced and looked away from her. She was married to him. That stung like a slap in the face. “If you my life has been perfect this past year…you’re sadly mistaken…it’s been hell. Kai owns me Nate…how much. I don’t get freedom. I don’t get to live.” She sighed, and ran her fingers through her hair.

“But that’s what I get, that’s my hell. I could have done a lot of things. I could have told you that night…but I didn’t.” she said taking a step closer, holding his eyes, making his fists clench. “But for what it’s worth, I never stopped loving you.” She said and he looked away from her, holding onto his anger, not willing to let it go so easily, though it was hard. She was making it hard on him.

He rolled his eyes and stepped forward, so she was centimeters from him. He smirked and reached down, grabbing her hand, lifting it between them as he forced it open, so her fingers were splayed. He grabbed her ring finger and looked at the ring on it, raising his eyebrows. "Some rock." He smirked, tapping her wedding ring as she glared at him. "Exactly how hard did you fight until you gave up?" He spat accusingly, holding her eyes, as if accusing her of not bothering to fight for them after he'd been put away.

He grabbed her hand lifting it up so he could see the ring on her finger and she sighed, she knew then seeing the smirk on his face she hadn’t gotten him. He tapped on the diamond mockingly and that pissed her off.

"Some rock." he smirked, she pulled her hand away irritated. "Exactly how hard did you fight until you gave up?" his words hurt, she’d fought a lot, to the point that Kai had broken her, though she wasn’t sure she wanted him to know that.

“Fuck you.” Spat “What does it matter how hard I fought. You wouldn’t believe me if I told you I tried killing him, because you won’t listen.” She said raising her voice. “How hard do you think I fought?” she mocked him, starting to fight back and she knew it was a bad idea because he was violent when he had drugs in him but she didn’t care.

“You went to prison for a fucking year.” She spat harshly “I’m stuck in hell for the rest of my life!” she yelled. “Be honest with yourself Nathan. What good did fighting do for me? I’m still stuck.” She shook her head “Every time I protecting someone it back fires on me and I’m the bad guy.” She glared at him “You’re not going to touch me.” She smirked with a shrug “So get the fuck out of my house.” She knew that would piss him off but she honestly didn’t care.

She pushed him away and he was tempted to slap her, but he didn’t he surprisingly was able to control himself and that was probably only because he wanted to hear what she was going to say. He was honestly afraid he was going to hurt her.

"I didn't know they were fucking you guys over!" He rolled his eyes because he’d spent so much time convincing himself she was a part of it that it was hard to believe she wasn’t. "He didn't tell me who he was until after I slept with him, and, but then, it was too late anyway! I never lied to you. I wouldn't." she yelled.

Keegan scoffed, running his fingers through his hair, there was a small part of him that believed her. But, the drugs consumed that part and filled it with doubt. She glared at her, he’d wanted Kenna dead and he’d wanted to hurt Dahlia so badly, it break her, but he wasn’t entirely sure how, now that he was standing in front of her. Because if he hit her, he’d be no better than Andrew or Jack and if he forgave her, he’d be giving in to easily.

“Oh okay, so after you found out the guy you fucked, fucked over your boyfriend…you kept seeing him.” He spat harshly. “I don’t even know why I came back here.” He shrugged “Because no matter what I do, I’m never going to have you am I?” he sighed. “fuck him all you want D, I’m done.” He said turning and heading to the door.

He was filled with rage and he knew that if he stayed there any longer or Andrew came back he’d end up hurting both of them or worse killing them. But, he had a feeling he wouldn’t get out of there. Dahlia would say something that would really piss him off.

Dahlia could tell he was pissed and didn't believe her. She took a step towards him, the drugs making her brave, almost wanting him to hit her. “Oh okay, so after you found out the guy you fucked, fucked over your boyfriend…you kept seeing him.” He spat harshly and her jaw clenched to keep herself from wincing. “I don’t even know why I came back here. Because no matter what I do, I’m never going to have you am I?” He shrugged and she closed her eyes. “Fuck him all you want D, I’m done.” He said and turned around, heading for the door.

"I moved on! What the fuck did you want me to do?!" She spat at his back before he could leave, glaring at him. "Did you want me to sit around here for five years crying and moping over you?" Her words were a hiss as she took a step closer to him.

She glared at him, rolling her eyes. "It's not like I have a choice anyway. You know Jack. He'd rather keep the cops quiet by giving him me all the time than paying him cash."

"What makes you think I'm not going to touch you Kenna?" He spat at her before slapping her hard across the face and then grabbing her jaw, yanking her head roughly to face him. "You put yourself in this place!" He glared at her. "You didn't fucking fight hard enough, and you pushed me away every time I tried to help you. I could have done something, but you were too afraid to try. You did this to yourself. Don't ask for any sympathy from me. You're not going to get it."
