Roselin had to bite her lip hard to keep from giggling at Adam’s outburst. It was definitely not the time to find anything humorous, but his exclamation like hers was just to funny! Sister…I do believe we have a problem… I am so sorry for slipping like that. But how in the world could you accuse me of such a thing! If he tried kissing me in the hall his face would be red from a slap! Thinking over the statement, she couldn’t help but wonder how true that even was. That morning she would not have hesitated with such a thought, but after talking with him… Shaking away the thought before it went anywhere else, she looked at Adam with an apologetic smile. “Um… It’s… a twin thing!” I do believe that is the worse excuse I have ever given in my life. “With how she was looking at the both of us, it wasn’t too hard for me to guess. I just…lost my patience a bit. I apologize for that.” Sitting back down in her seat, she gave a small glare to Seth. “And what do you mean by ‘if they had’? What sort of girl do you think I am?” We are going to have to pull off a miracle for this one. I don’t what to lie to Adam, but I’m the only one who has really been around him so far; and for a short while at that. We told one person today…but two? Frustrated on what to do, she couldn’t help but feel torn between being truthful to Adam and keeping her secret with Lilian secluded a bit longer. Though…we could have fun with this. Did you see his face earlier!

Lilian raised a brow at Adam's reaction when he slammed his hands on the table. She almost laughed but remembered she was angry with Roselin. However, Seth's explanation made sense and she nodded. "Of course we love each other. You sound exactly like my father." Smirking at him a bit she went on to explain. "We're sisters like you said, we fight but that doesn't mean we'll hate each other. You can't tell me you and Adam don't ever fight." I'm sorry I didn't believe you sister I suppose this situation just has me on edge. Forgive me? Pausing in the connection she weighed the options of telling Adam the truth or not. The poor boy deserved the truth but they had always kept their secret to themselves, except Seth today of course. Well, I really don't want to spread our secret to so many just yet. Let's see if he can figure it out. He seems smart and a little fun would do us all well I think. The game is on sister!

Adam looked at them suspiciously. He still didn't totally believe them, but he didn’t have any proof and to call them liars wouldn’t be good. He just thought that they were hiding something from him, not that he could even imagine what it would be.He just knew that he’d have to watch them a bit closer to try and notice anything between them. “A twin thing... Yeah that would make sense. Please don’t apologize though. I’m sorry for over reacting, I was just a tad confused.” Adam sat back down, his curiosity still not satisfied, but deciding to just brush it off for now. After all he still had three more points to get from Lilian.

Seth looked at Roselin as she spoke. A twin thing? Really? He would have pegged her for a much better liar then that when necessary. After all they did screw with him in the hedge maze. Perhaps he was wrong, or she just had a momentary lapse in good lying.Either way it didn’t matter all that much.

When she asked what kind of girl he though she was though, he almost cringed. That wasn’t exactly how he intended it to come out. “Well I am a simple man that can only shed light to what I can perceive. Besides I don’t judge people like that to say ‘what type of girl’ I think you are. You are as you are and that is how I see you, not some gross wide generalization used to describe anyone. Perhaps that is just me however.”

Seth looked at Lilian as she spoke. He acted as if he were stabbed as she mentioned that he sounded like her father. He knew it wasn’t as she meant, but he would never treat them how their father did. “Your words hurt dear Lilian. I assure you I just care for the binds you sister’s share. I would hate to cause anything between them.”

When she mentioned Adam and himself fighting they instantly looked at each other and began laughing a bit. “Yes you are correct we do fight. I suppose I am just a worry wart. I’m sorry.” Adam laughed as Seth mentioned that. “You suppose? Your always worrying unnecessarily about things Sethy.” Seth just looked at Adam with an unamused glare. “How about you sit back over there and mind your business thanks. I’m sure the princess don’t need to hear from you how I worry, or how you like to dress up the cat.”

Adam had already sat back and took a sip from the cup in front of him, but couldn’t help but choke a bit as Seth mentioned dressing up the cat. “What?! I put a paper hat on him once when I was four Seth. I swear you love to stretch the truth to where you sound completely crazy.” Seth sat back laughing. “Sure tell yourself that Adam. Keep telling yourself that.”

Roselin silently chewed her food as she listened to the others. I really need to brush up on my lie reflexes; I’ve gone soft with father not on my tail. And that was rather harsh sister, relating Seth and father; I even felt that one. Holding back a smirk, she had to put her hand over her mouth to cover up the laugh that was trying to escape as the two brothers started bickering. This is definitely turning out more amusing than I expected. And we are not even the ones having to stir things up! Reaching for her glass, Roselin burst out laughing at the mention of Adam dressing up a cat; then the fact Adam choked on his drink caused her to have to hold her sides from laughing so hard. With an attempt to regain her breath, Roselin put on a straight face and looked at Adam. “I’m sure we could find a cat and some clothes around here somewhere. We would want you to feel completely at home as you stay with us. And I would love to help!” Not being able to hold it any longer, she burst into a fit of giggles as an image of Adam dressing a tom cat in a pink dress popped into her head. I don’t think it’s safe for me to even attempt to put anything in my mouth at this rate sister. I can’t stop laughing!

She smirked at Seth when he mentioned he was a worry wart. "Please, don't worry about it. I shouldn't have compared you to my father." Sitting down, she listened to the brothers as they argued and she began eating her food just as her sister. Well, he was talking to us as if we were his children! Who else was I suppose to relate him too? Also, I agree you are a TERRIBLE liar sister! It's a twin thing? Lilian smirked at her sister as she picked at her, then snorted trying to hold back a laugh as Seth revealed a dark secret of Adam's. "Oh my! Dressing up poor cats Adam, really? Perhaps you could show us an example of your kitty kat tailoring skills later?" She continued laughing and smiling at Adam, hoping he knew they weren't being cruel with their picking. That is a laugh we really needed sister! Oh, he might have gained his points from me JUST by providing that amusement!

Adam sat there and just stared at Seth with a gaze of contempt. He fought the urge to fling a fork right into his arm right there, but he was always told to not just go around showing his "gift" to everyone. The only lesson that ever fully sank in. "I would like to make it painfully clear to everyone, this was like 15 years ago. I was just learning about origami and I liked to practice it. I had made a hat of paper and stuck it on the family's pet cat. He soon after got it off, and I never did it again. Dear Seth likes to embellish things. Although I am glad that your all getting a good laugh out of this. Seth do you think they would like to know the cat's name?"

Seth stared at him. Now who's drudging up old memories? "I am completely sure that they would have no want or need to." Adam laughed. "Oh how could you say that? I'm sure the ladies would love to hear what you named the cat. Remember Mom and Dad let you do so. What was his name again? Wait it's on the tip of my tongue... Cap... Captain.... Captain Fluffy that was it." Seth stared at Adam. So this was the game now? Normally this would have probably already been a wrestling between the two had the girls not been there. Either a wrestling match or an ability fuled one. Either way they didn't want to start that in front of the girls.

Roselin was to the point she had to just rest her head in her hand with her elbow on the table. She couldn’t remember the last time she laughed this hard with other people. With her laughter dying down, she was able to catch Adam mentioning how he made the hat. “Origami? I’ve heard of it before, but I’m afraid I don’t know much about it.” With a grin, she waited patiently to hear the cat’s name. I do wonder what it would be like to have more meals like this with these two. It is much more entertaining! Once again covering her mouth to hold down the giggle at Adam’s show of convenient forgetfulness, she could only turn her face away with her shoulders shaking with held back laughter as the name was finally revealed. Captain Fluffy! In a paper hat, dressed up by a prince! How I wish I could have seen that! Looking between the two brothers, she couldn’t help but stare at Adam; wondering what it would have been like to know him as a child then. Or even to get to know him more now. She wasn’t thrilled at their reasons for being here, but for the moment she was having a ball.

Lilian smiled at Adam, trying to hold in her laughter as he began to pick back at Seth. I agree sister! This is very entertaining! Normally Lilian was the one to harp on etiquette but this was far to entertaining to let it stop now! She kept herself quiet and waited in anticipation to hear what Seth had named the poor tortured family cat and as soon as Captain Fluffy was out of Adam's mouth, Lilian snorted out a laugh. Covering her mouth quickly in embarrassment, she continued to laugh at the adorable image. Oh, dear me sister I can't help myself the image is far to cute! Oh, she would have loved to have witnessed that first hand! "I can't even imagine what a handful you two must have been when you were young!" Her eyes landed on Seth and she smiled at him with a hint of affection. "Don't worry Seth, I think it's quite adorable." Wait, was she flirting with him now?

Adam sat there and smiled. As Roselin had mentioned not knowing much about Origami, Adam just shrugged. "I don't know all that much on the practice myself, to be quite honest. Just a few here and there. I'm afraid I made the mistake of showing my father when I was younger, and he forbade my teacher from teaching me anymore." When Adam had noticed Roselin staring at him though, he just looked back at her. He was curious as to why she had been, in fact staring. "Do I have something on my face?" He questioned, hoping that he didn't. That would have been pretty embarrassing.

Seth just shook his head as the girls laughed. He couldn't help but chuckle himself as well. It was a goofy name, but he was a small child. What did anyone expect? "We were probably quite the handful back then. Can't say I heard anyone yell at me even half as much as Adam over there though." He said with a grin. Seth could always smile his way out of anything usually, where Adam, was more trouble, and wasn't so lucky. "I'm sure the name is adorable, I was quite young when I named him. In fact he's passed away now, but I wish you could have seen him."

Roselin eyes widened when she was caught staring, but she quickly changed the expression to one of wide eyed innocence. “Actually you have a bit of your drink right here.” Tapping the side of her own cheek with a smirk to indicate where the non-existent spot was, she could only hope that she dodged the question well enough. What in the world was she thinking staring like that…oh, that was the problem to begin with; she was thinking too much. Then yet what she was thinking about! Sister, that reminds me…or well, what I was thinking reminds me… when do we leave for their kingdom I wonder. I would like a heads start on giving the guards a run for their money to get me in the carriage. One way to find out I suppose. Leaning back in her chair and taking a breath to ask the question she’d been dreading, Roselin looked at Adam with a dreading curiosity. “So… When will we leave to have the chance to see where these cat escapades took place?”

Lilian giggled as Roselin was caught staring at Adam and she quickly made up a lie to cover up. Interested in him sister? She asked in a taunting tone before turning her attention back to Seth as he spoke. "Aw the poor dear but I'm sure that was one of the happiest cats to ever walk upon the Earth. Despite the paper hats and silly name." Giggling a bit once more at the thought of it, her mood soon changed back to her quiet, reserved self at Roselin's question. Sitting back in her chair, she stared at her lap as she waited for one of the princes to answer when they would be taken away forever to their new home. I can't help but think of how much I'll miss everything here sister..even father. Do you think he'll miss us at all?

Adam raised his arm up quickly as Roselin pointed out where he had something one his face. He quickly wiped it with his sleeve, after all Adam didn't exactly have the best table manners. "Thank you for letting me know." Was all he could say. He honestly did think that he had stuff on his face and was so embarrassed that he didn't know it was there, he hardly knew what to say.

Seth laughed a bit at hearing Adam had something on his face. Seth didn't quite see it, but he was further away from Adam then Roselin was. "He was a very happy cat. I'm sure that he had a wonderful life." Seth went silent however when Roselin asked her question. In truth he hadn't though much of it. Well after he got there anyway. Adam was the same way, until he remembered a conversation the two had a few nights ago. It was all meant in good fun then, but it was actually possible right now. Adam leaned forward and looked at Seth. Seth stared at him for a moment and then realized what Adam was thinking. It could work. It could definitely work. Seth thought to himself. With a grin and a nod Seth agreed with Adam, and the two began to pitch their idea, so to speak.

"You see, we had an idea the other day." Adam began.

"One that will benefit us now." Chimed in Seth.

"We leave in the dead of night...." said Adam.

"....But we don't tell a soul" finished Seth.

"This way we cause a small panic among the guards..." Adam said with a smile.

"That is until they find a note. Written by one of you, but encased in the purest crystal." Seth said, also smiling now.

"Now we've played a great joke on them, thinking the four of us have up and disappeared, as well as have them a bit of hell before they could read the letter." Adam had now sat back again awaiting a response.

Seth looked at the twins before sitting back as well. "So what do you two thing of the idea?"

Roselin gave a small sigh of relief that Adam bought her excuse, but was still on edge as she waited on their answer. I don't know honestly. He sure has no problem selling us off like this, and with his attitude towards us... I think he let go of us when the arrangements first started to come about... But that's just fine with me! If he can let us go so easily then we have no reason to stay! We have each other and all we will be leaving behind is memories; something we can just as easily take with us and create anew! Mind made up, and stubborness set in stone; Roselin gritted her teeth as she calmed herself. With the two brothers staring at each other a moment, Roselin cocked her head to the side and watched them until they started speaking. With each sentence the two passed back and forth, her confusion grew more and more into bewildered excitement. Sister! This sounds perfect! It beats my plan by a mile, and it would be such fun! Just think what it would be like to get out of this stone prison for once!

Having to restrain herself from jumping up like an excited child, Roselin calmed down and sat on the edge of her seat and leaned in closer to the brothers with an emotionless face. “I…” pausing a moment to glance at her twin, she looked back at the other two. “Love it!” Face cracking into a huge smile, and the pent up excitement hardly contained, Roselin folded both arms on the table and looked between Adam and Seth. “And when would this brilliant plan need to take place?” I do hope you are alright with this, if not I’ll stay. There is no way I am going anywhere without you. “And for the record, you two would make great twins.”

Lilian gave a small nod at her sister's answer I suppose. She wasn't as stubborn as Roselin was and although she was just as upset about these arrangements she couldn't help but feel sad at leaving her home and that included her father. Her thoughts were broken as she listened to the brothers bounce back and forth a plan on sneaking out in the dead of night to worry everyone. A smirk played across her features, she wasn't one to break rules, in face she NEVER broke the rules but the thought of causing a bit of chaos as a parting gift appealed to her. Oh goodness, Roselin was rubbing off on her it seemed, this certainly wasn't a normal train of thought for her! Actually sister, I think this sounds absolutely perfect. It's harmless but dare I say fun at the same time? "You two certainly would make great twins." Smiling at them, she took a deep breath before nodding her head. "I quite like the plan really. When do we leave?"

Seth and Adam both laughed as the Sisters agreed to the plan. Then they mentioned how they'd make great twins. Them passing the conversation back and fourth wasn't always like that. In fact that was a somewhat amusing though rather short tale all on it's own. Seth was the first to speak up. "Us, twins? Not really I'm afraid. In fact we've had a fair bit of practice speaking like that. Adam and myself were rather mischievous children. Well Adam much more so then me, I've more been the type that just doesn't like to listen. The kid that does the opposite of what you say. Adam over there was, and even still is to some extent, the kid that took pride in messing with people, and just causing as much chaos as he wanted too. Problem was he'd often bring me into it."

As Seth spoke Adam started laughing. It was true, and he was still proud of it, even when Seth made his comment about Adam being childish still. Honestly he was a bit, and he knew it. Adam didn't say anything, instead just nodded in agreement. Seth continued on. "Whenever the pair of us would get caught. which was like every time, we'd always try to talk our way out of it at the same time. See I was always better at talking, where Adam was the one more adept with lying. So together we made a good team at getting out of trouble, but not when we talked at the same time. So we learned to take turns one sentence at a time. So we do that when explaining things to people, providing we worked on the plan or whatever together that is. Well that and some people get really confused when we do that, so it's funny to see them react." Seth laughed a bit as did Adam.

Finally Adam spoke up. "Yeah so we may not make the best twins, we're just used to messing with people. As far as when we're leaving, we can go at any time. Tonight even if that's what you both wish." Seth looked at Lilian and smiled. "We'd still have more then enough time for that walk too." He said with a smile. He was actually looking forward to it, and figured at least Roselin would have Adam to keep her company now.

Roselin couldn’t hold back the smirk that Seth’s statement brought. My, doesn’t someone seem eager? I suppose we should leave you two for some alone time then? “Tonight sounds good to me, and I actually have something to take care of before we go. Adam, would you care to join me?” Rising from her chair and not giving the prince a chance to answer; Roselin led him out of the room by the hand with a glance at her twin. Now don’t give me a reason to accuse YOU of going too fast with someone you just met…Have fun!

“Sorry about that, it seemed like a good cue to take our leave; I hope you don’t mind. And there is actually something I want to show you.” With a shrug and a smile, Roselin walked along the halls until she came to a row of windows showing the night sky. “I’ll be just a moment, just stand right here!” Attempting to hide the mischievous look on her face, she left Adam standing in front of a window as she opened another one two windows down. After discarding her shoes to the floor and swinging her legs over the window sill, Roselin stepped out onto the lower edge of the third floor window and slowly slid across the outward wall until she reached the window with Adam in front of it. Unlatching the lock from the outside, Roselin leaned back in with a grin on her face. “Father locked this one from the outside since we were always sneaking out of it. He forgot my love of heights though, so it didn’t do much good. Hope you’re not afraid of them! If not, then just follow me!” The mischievous grin now fully on her face, Roselin took a step back and dropped down to a small roof; then started walking along the narrow top towards a tower. Glancing back to see if Adam was coming, Roselin stepped up onto a wide path circling the tower and walked around to the other side.

Sitting down on the edge, Roselin stared out at the view before her. The lake and gazebo from earlier that day was clearly visible, with the moon playing across the water’s surface and casting shadows among the trees. “This was our favorite spot as kids. We always came up here to escape the maids…well…I dragged Lilian out here at first; but it soon became no problem as long as I lead.” A small smile crossing her features, Roselin loosened a stone beside her and pulled out a small bag. “This is what I was coming for before we left. It’s Lilian and I’s little treasure hole.” Dumping a few of the contents into her hand, the bag revealed small items from matching lockets to engraved river stones and pressed four-leaf clovers. “A little bit of home to bring along with us.” Smiling, Roselin turned back to the view to memorize every sight in front of her.

Lilian listened gleefully as they explained how they coordinated their speech, it seemed the both of them were mischievious in one way or another. Seth ended the conversation with a comment that made her blush and the color only depened at Roselin's secret comments to her. Oh! No, we do not need alone time! What on Earth are you insinuating! She merely nodded to Seth in response. "Well of course, I'm quite looking forward to our walk." It was the honest truth as well, she was nervous though but very excited to take a walk with the prince. Her grin turned into a glare towards Roselin as she hurried out. I will do no such thing! You just behave YOURSELF! With that, her sister was gone and now she was left alone with Seth. Squirming nervously in her chair a bit, she rose and reached out taking his hand. "So, shall we begin the walk then?" Smiling at him, she led the way out of an opposite hall towards the garden and the lake.

She walked slowly as they trailed along the flowers by the garden, the fireflies dancing along the top of the water and Lilian grinned as she watched them. "They're beautiful aren't they? I always pretend they're at a ball dancing."

Adam rolled his eyes as Seth mentioned a walk with Lilian. It wasn't that Adam disliked walks, he was just more of the type go on one with a destination at the end. He always thought of the final destination a better place to get to know someone rather then while moving. It was easier to focus on whomever you were with that way. He was surprised as Lilian pulled him out though. Sure he figured that she may want to leave, but she was definitely pretty hasty. "Oh I don't mind at all. Not like I wanna be in the third wheel anyway, or fourth, whatever..." He wasn't exactly as good a speaker as Seth was, which was probably apparent, but he wasn't exactly the town fool either.

Adam didn't say much as she went outside on the balcony and began climbing to another window Adam just smiled. He wasn't scared of heights at all. If he were Seth, well he'd probably be trying to get her off of there, rather then standing around. Adam didn't have any fears though. One she seemed very familiar with doing this, and two he could catch her, even if she didn't know that. When she got around to unlatching the last window he just smiled. If he knew that's what she was up to, he could have done it. However he didn't dwell. Instead he followed her right out with little hesitation.

He climbed out and kept up a decent pace with Roselin. She was more used to the footing, so she was a great deal faster of course. When they finally reached the path circling the tower, Adam followed Roselin over and sat next to her. He didn't say much, in fact he liked to admire the view. He did listen though, to every word. As she dumped the small bag into her hand he turned to look at the contents. Little things, but precious to them nonetheless. "They are very nice. I'm glad you have something to bring along with you. They may help you feel a bit more at home."

After he was done speaking he looked up. He couldn't help but stare as he caught Roselin's silhouette, created by the moon. She was beautiful, and in the moonlight it was even more so. When he realized he was staring though, he quickly looked back out to the amazing view, although it didn't hold a candle to the one he just passed up on. "Roselin... Have you wondered lately what it would be like if we didn't go back. I mean, you know like run away. Just the few of us. Perhaps if we show them what they are missing out on, they would gain a new perspective on what really matters. War has broken up our kingdoms, and then broken up our families. Do you think they'd continue to fight, or you think they'd realize how pointless it is in the first place?" Adam wasn't sure where that had come from, all he knew was that the question was on his mind lately. With her, he felt safe enough to ask it.


Seth watched as Roselin quickly pulled Adam from the room. Was it something he had said? He hoped not. After all he didn't want to be on Roselin's bad side. After they had gone though, Seth followed Lilian out to the lake. The scene was so familiar, yet at night was so different as well. In fact given the two scenes side by side, it would be hard to imagine they were the same place. "I didn't say anything to offend Roselin, did I?" He asked on the way out there. He would feel so bad if he had. The sight that came up next however was breathtaking. When Lilian had mentioned the fireflies above the lake, he couldn't have even began to imagine it like this. Thousands of tiny lights, twirling around above the lake, which was reflecting the moon so brightly. Words couldn't capture the moment.

"They are magnificent. In fact I am debating on weather or not I am worthy enough to lay eyes upon them. It's one of the prettiest things I've seen in this world. In fact your kingdom has had many beautiful scenes for me to see since I got here. I fear that my kingdom cannot measure up. For that I apologize." He smiled as he gazed at them, but then turned to Lilian, who seemed to really like watching them. "Well of course they are at the ball. Where else would they be? All that is needed now, would be some music, although perhaps it's not a song that we can hear. Perhaps it's only a song for those whom choose to listen, like the fireflies up there." Seth held onto Lilian's hand with a smile. This moment was so much better then he could have ever imagined.

Roselin couldn’t help but smile as Adam followed her out without hesitation and sat beside her. He definitely earned more credit for not trying to pull her out, then yet even coming with her! Sneaking a glance at him as he looked at the view, she couldn’t help but feel happy to be sitting with him in her secret escape spot; but she quickly turned away. There was no food or drinks to cover for her staring this time.

Content with the notion of having something to help her feel at home when they leave, Roselin placed the items back into the bag and set it down beside her. Surprise written on her face at the sudden question, it quickly fell to a more somber face as she thought it over. “I’ve played with the thought of running away ever since the arrangements were first brought up… but I couldn’t leave without Lilian, and I didn’t know what it would do for both kingdoms if you were to show up with a princess having gone missing. But with the option of all of us leaving… Of no one being left behind to deal with the consequences alone… it sounds like a tempting thought. How marrying off your children would solve everything, I do not know. We are not even the ones who will be sitting on the thrones to decide the outcomes, all we would be is an image…nothing more than some imaginary peace treaty. But if they were faced to solve the problem some other way, to see how far they have driven those closest to them away… the results may be surprising.”

Leaning back to look up at the moon, Roselin turned to give Adam a small smile. “There’s always one way to find out. When we leave tonight, why not monitor how our fathers react. If worse comes to worse, we can always return; otherwise, we could give them a taste of their own medicine for awhile. Now then, we will have plenty of time to figure that out once we see if we can even make it off the castle grounds first; so until then, I’m curious to see if that nest is still up here!” A reassuring smile now replacing the more somber one, Roselin placed her feet onto the edge and stood up to go investigate. Just as she was turning around, she heard a sound she always dreaded. That of stone breaking away from stone. The old stones on the edge slipping out from beneath her feet, Roselin gasped for air as she felt herself starting to fall backwards and the scream wanting to rise to her throat.

Lilian turned her head and sighed shaking it with a smirk at his question. “No, you didn’t do anything to offend Roselin. She hurried out of the hall because she was trying to give us, well, alone time.” She sounded almost embarrassed at saying alone time as if it was the most scandalous thing on Earth! Oh, she could just feel the heat rising in her cheeks again, darn it when she gets near Roselin again boy she was going to let her have it!

They trailed along, holding hands she might add, in silence as they walked. It was very enjoyable just, being with him, even if there weren’t very many words being exchanged. An odd thing to say the least but she had to admit it to herself she found that she might be falling for Seth, of course only just a small bit! She was pulled from her gazing at the fire flies when he spoke. “Oh, I’m sure your kingdom has many wonderful things to offer. Besides, as long as you’re around it won’t matter.” Wait, what did she just say? Was that romantic moosh that had just come out of her mouth? Oh, goodness she had it worse than she thought! Everything was just so perfect though, the setting, the mood, he was perfect and it seemed someone else had taken control of her. Looking up, she knew what she was about to do as she leaned up towards him for a kiss when what felt like electricity ran through her and she jumped back looking around. “Roselin?” She was in trouble! Her eyes jumped about as she tried to find her and finally she squinted as she saw a small figure teetering on top of the tower. “Roselin!?”

Adam listened as Roselin spoke. She felt the same way he did. He had wished that his brothers would have ran away with him, but their duty to their kingdom was greater then that to their own feelings. As far as Adam was concerned, the kingdom turned it’s back on him, why not do the same to it. He couldn’t let his brothers do it alone though. Now, well he was glad he didn’t.

“Perhaps then tonight we disappear for good in a sense. Imagine how our father’s will feel when they realize the last things they ever said to us was sending us away. Their refusal to not end this war on even terms, ripped from them, their own children. If they decide to go back to war, sure we could always go back. Or we could do something a bit more bold, however that’s dangerous. Maybe too dangerous...” He found himself kind of going off on a tangent and stopped. “I’m sorry about that. Your right, we will have plenty of time to think our next move. Don’t worry about us being able to get off the grounds though. You tell us where to go, and me and Seth will get us out. We’re not too bad at finding a way to distract people.” He said with a slight chuckle.

As Roselin mentioned a nest he just smiled and turned to watch her. However, she didn’t do very much before the rocks crumbled away beneath her feet. Adam wanted to just pull her in, but she was just out of arms reach. “ROSELIN!!!” He yelled as he reached out to grab her hand as she fell, however still she was too far away. ((Hope this next part is okay, if not, let me know and I can edit it)) Without even another though, his hand opened up and caught her with his telekenisis. She wasn’t heavy, so it wasn’t hard to hold her at all like that, and he pulled her back up quickly, placing her on the solid rock behind them. He climbed off the edge and stood next to her. “Your not hurt, are you Roselin?” That took priority, over explaining what just happened. He was sure she’d question it soon enough anyway.


Seth smiled glad he didn’t offend Roselin. In fact he was glad to hear the reason she had left so quickly with Adam. “Well that was very nice of her, I will have to thank her later.” Seth though about the comparison of the two kingdoms. True the castle’s were nice, but the kingdoms have felt the backlash from the war. It seemed like neither kingdom was doing much to help their people either. Something that Seth regretted deeply. “Perhaps we do, but I don’t think it compares well personally. My father has troubles appreciating true beauty, so you won’t see the lavish gardens or anything there. Not that we don’t have a nice garden and such, it’s just no where near what you have here. Perhaps we can change that once we go back.”

He almost blushed as she said as long as he was there it wouldn’t matter. “Well I can’t say I’m the best company all the time. I imagine it’s me who is the lucky one if you are around.” He was really starting to fall for Lilian, in fact he didn’t remember being as happy in years as he was when he was around her. He liked being so happy. He noticed her leaning to kiss him. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t want to as well. He began to lean in as well, at least until it seemed Lilian sensed something wrong with Roselin. Seth looked up once, Lilian found her sister. He saw Adam with her, and even if Roselin was falling, he didn’t worry.

He saw her just stop falling and be pulled back up. He would have expected Adam would save her. Not even he was so reckless to think he could do things without using what was avaliable to him. “Adam won’t let her get hurt Lilian, don’t worry. You see, he has her.” Even though there wasn’t any contact it appeared that at least something had her. “I suppose that it’s time you knew what Adam can do. Adam has the ability to move things with his mind. So using that he caught her and pulled her back up. Adam would never let anything happen to Roselin while he was around. Much like I would never let anything happen to you while I still breathe.” Wait, where did that come from? It’s not that it wasn’t true, Seth just never planed on saying it. Not so soon anyway. It felt almost weird as he heard it, but he felt almost like a burden was off his shoulder too. He just hoped she felt anywhere near the same way for him, as he did for her.

Roselin could only watch in shock as the tower fell further away with Adam unable to reach her, but then something happened…She stopped falling? Confusion and shock battling for dominance, Roselin could only lean against the tower wall when her feet miraculously found solid ground again; though it didn’t do much good with them threatening to give out beneath her. Vaguely registering Adam asking if she was hurt, she opened her mouth to speak only to find no words to come out. Shaking her head back and forth, she just let herself react without thinking and leaned off the wall to cling to Adam’s arm. Head buried into his shoulder, Roselin tried to calm down from the brush with death. Sure she had slipped a few times over the years; she even clinged to a couple of ledges like a cat being chased up a tree! But she never fell, she never completely lost control with no way to hold on!

Her breathe finally deciding to come more easily, and her head finally not feeling like a broken carriage wheel; Roselin realized just who she was holding onto…and didn’t want to let go. She actually felt safe just then, and she wasn’t going to let pride or a flustered blush send her back into a mild panic. “I’m… not hurt…unless you count… having ten years scared… off your life…” Trying to get her voice back to being level, she finally looked back up with a forced smirk. “Guess I forgot I weigh more now than when I was little, stones sure didn’t forget though.” With one more calming breath, Roselin gave in to the fluster building up at being so close and took a step back to lean against the wall; letting go of Adam and crossing her arms tightly around herself. She didn’t know which was more confusing, feeling safe being close to Adam…or feeling sad when she wasn’t? It had to be the fall…Yes, that was it. The fall had all her senses out of whack and she just needed to get them back in order. “Thank you for sa….” dropping the line and cocking her head to the side with eyebrows furrowed, she just realized he never actually touched her through the entire episode of falling and rescuing. “How did you…..Were you the one who…. Ok, did I hit my head and didn’t know it just now?”

Lilian's eyes were wide as she watched her sister totter, her hand over her mouth in shock until she just seemed to float to safety. Float to safety? No, she couldn't have just simply drifted through the air but, but she did. Now she was safe but the fear she felt came rushing through the connection the sisters shared and Lilian trembed as if she was the one who had almost fallen from the tower. Now the warmth Roselin felt from Adam came through and this caused Lilian to press against Seth, wrapping her arms around him for comfort. She heard his words about Adam's power but only looked up realizing what she was doing after the overflow of emotions was broken when Roselin finally snapped out of it and pulled away from Adam. She pulled back a bit but not all the way and cleared her throat. "I apologize, sometimes the connection my sister and I share can be a curse at times as well. Very powerful emotions force their way through whether we like it or not, we have to concentrate to keep them to ourselves." Looking back up to the tower, she replayed the scene in her head of Roselin floating to safety. "So, your brother can move things with his mind? That seems like a very powerful gift indeed but I'm very grateful to him, he's saved my sister an-" Pausing mid sentence she remembered the last sentence he uttered. Much like I would never let anything happen to you while I still breathe."Did you mean that? What you just said about protecting me?" She asked as she took a step, drawing herself back closer to him.

Adam didn’t realize it fully, but his heart was actually racing. Not that he wasn’t confident in knowing he could save her, just that what if something went wrong. Some freak accident that led to her death, as he sat there unable to do anything. The time that he was looking forward to spending with her, cut so short, so abruptly. She was safe though, and his heart slowed back to a normal pace. He held onto Roselin’s arm as she latched onto his. “It’s alright. Your safe now.” He tried to be comforting, although after a near death fall, she would be shaken up for sure. Anyone would be, at least for a few minutes.

“Ten years. Could be worse. I’m sure we all have ten years here or there to spare, really.” He said trying to lighten things a bit. “Maybe the stones did remember, but you still couldn’t have know that would happen. It’s no more then a freak accident.” As she let go of his arm, Adam was almost saddened. He didn’t mind her clutching to him, in fact he kind of liked her holding onto his arm. As she asked half questions out of confusion he couldn’t help but laugh. He walked closer to her and placed his hands on her shoulders, in a way to try and help her calm down. “No you didn’t hit your head, I made sure of that. Allow me to explain. You know how Seth can do his thing with the gems and crystals and stuff like that? Well I can move things with my mind. When I couldn’t reach you with my hand, I simply caught you with my mind. Your not very heavy so it wasn’t hard to do at all.” He paused for a moment. He would give a demonstration, but he wasn’t quite sure if she needed one. After all he did just pull her up, though perhaps it would help things set in. “I wouldn’t have let you fallen. I would have made sure to be closer to you, if I wasn’t able to catch you like I did.” He said with a smile.


Seth watched Adam pull up Roselin and was relieved. What would have happened if Adam wasn’t there? He may not have known Roselin or Lilian for long, but he couldn’t bare the thought. Just then Lilian had grabbed onto him, with seeming intent to not let go for a while. Seth didn’t mind it in the least bit, in fact he put his arm around her, although leaving her more then enough space to pull away when she was ready too. When she finally had and spoke, Seth couldn’t help but smile.

“There is no need for apologies. I would be lying if I said that I disliked you holding onto me for comfort. Yes Adam can move things with his mind. I suppose it is a strong ability, however don’t tell him that. He has a big enough ego as it is at times.” Seth said with a slight chuckle. When she paused mid sentence and asked if he meant what he had said, he paused for a moment. “When we first heard about these arranged marriages, I was unhappy. However as time went on, I tried to keep an open mind. Yes Lilian. After meeting you, I wholeheartedly meant it. I would protect you from whoever or whatever I had to.”

He wanted to say he would protect her with his life. Would he though? Would he be willing to throw his life on the line in any instant, glad to give it up, to save Lilian, a young woman he’d met not even a full day ago? He would. It was probably weird, but there was just something about her. If the time came and it was him or her, the choice was simple in his mind. He didn’t even question himself anymore. There was no denying, he really did have feelings for Lilian.

Roselin was partly calmed down when the confusion kicked in at how he had saved her; but as soon as Adam stepped closer and placed his hands on her shoulders, the effort was quickly lost again. Trying to concentrate on his explanation, she realized she completely forgot Seth mentioning his brothers having powers as well. So this one was Adam’s then… “That would make sense then. A truly amazing gift the more I think about it…Wait…then do you have anything to do with Seth missing his chair at dinner?” A smirk playing on her face as she was quite certain on the answer, the flustered feeling was starting to settle to a happy calm the longer she was near him; though once again, was futile with his next words.

Heart racing at his words of never letting her fall, then yet of the thought of him being closer if he couldn’t catch her like he did; Roselin finally just had to turn her face to the side. If he kept saying things like that, and with how he looked in the open moonlight…What was she thinking! Alright, there was something with this tower and she needed off now; and with her head spinning and feeling completely off balanced, she would much rather prefer to be on more solid ground again. The main thing however… She wanted her sister. Lilian…could you meet me back in our room…I...well…I think you can guess why…

“Um…I really need to see my sister right now…And we should probably be getting ready to leave tonight.” Still confused on her own feelings, Roselin gently removed Adam’s hands from her shoulders; but surprised herself when she didn’t let go of one of them. It was because she had to cross the roof again. Yes, that was it! It was the height… it had nothing to do with the fact she didn’t want that sadness from before back quite yet… Nope, nothing like that at all. So with that mind set, Roselin led the way back in and through the window, not bothering to lock it back; who would bother checking it anymore anyways? I hope I didn’t…disrupt anything? If so, please do enjoy the alone time best you can; just don’t give me a reason to have Seth ‘disappear’. I’ll be waiting in our room. Alright, that helped her feel a bit better.

A few turns and a couple of flight of stairs, Roselin made it to the front doors of the room she shared with her sister. Finally letting go of Adam’s hand, having forgotten she was still holding onto it this whole time, Roselin opened the wide door and walked in. “We have a sitting room that you and your brother can wait in if you wish. I apologize for any wait...and dragging you around. I didn’t realize…” pausing as something caught up to her, Roselin bit her bottom lip and looked up at Adam with a sheepish look. “I just realized I need to confess of something. Before, in the dining room when I was reacting so suddenly to my sister and I told you ‘it was a twin thing’…Well I kind of held back a bit of information… We have a power as well, my sister and I. We can speak to each other in our minds, hear each other’s sent thoughts; sometimes even share emotions if they’re strong enough or we’re to careless. I apologize for not telling you sooner… I was just hesitant at another person knowing. I do believe you and Seth are the only ones we’ve shared our secret with.” Walking over to a small chair to lean against, she couldn’t help the guilty feeling surfacing from holding back. “Which is also why I know your brother and my sister will be here soon probably, I asked her to come.”
