Romulus hears the whistles and commands that seem to be coming from everywhere all of a sudden he neatly folding his schedule before putting it into one of his pockets,” I would be willing to bet this is because of the mass of people outside of the dorm before we left.” He and Tyjeris make their way back to the dorm and fall into ranks with the others he noticing the look of anger on Casians face and the looks of annoyance on the faces of the other commanders he thinking to himself ‘this can’t be good news’

Song nodded when she was told to join everyone else, then proceeded to do as she was told. She didn't want to get herself in trouble, anyway. She fell into rank, glancing around briefly, then ahead, towards where they were supposed to be looking, anyway. She couldn't even be sure what it was about; if it was for the fight that came close to happening, then shouldn't those two be talked to, and not everyone? Or maybe it would just be a warning to everyone not to fight, or to at least keep it down, because completely stopping all fights were impossible. "What's this about..." she mumbled quietly to herself.

Elroy, a short, small man, emerged from the dorms after a small fluster of men. The lieutenant was just as confused about the matter as everyone else, never-the-less, he re-inforced the Delta Companies to be rushed out of the dorm, by means of harsh words and inforcing un-questioning authority over the men. They despised him, and he knew it--that's how he liked hit, he wanted them to know he was superiour.

When he was in the sight of Casian, the leader of The Shar, and of the Alpha Company, he would calm down a bit. He wore his uniform, as well as his rapier which was both for show, ceremonial use, and actual combat in a few cases. He avoided getting into actual combat as much as he could though, he was never much of a fighter--and even though he is a Lieutenant, it is definantly lower than he thought he should be.

Elroy stepped quietly across to Casian, tipping his hat to him. As usual, Elroy was dressed his finest.

"Bonjour, Monsieur Casian," He spoke as he tipped his hat to him. "Eeh...Capetan? What es ze meaning of this...unexpected rally of ze companies? Can I be of any personal assistance, Monsieur?"

His English was still a little bit rough, and his French accent was strong. He would sometimes studder, and sometimes throw in a few French words with his English sentances. Whether by accent, or by the way he wanted it to be, that was impossible to tell.

Jace sighed, it seemed his leisure time was already over. A part of him wanted to take it out on someone, but a much larger part sympathised with what they were going to go through at the academy. He slid off the bed and walked out of his doorm room and a little ways further in the Alpha dorms. Jace looked around to see how well his squad leaders were doing at forming up the platoon outside the dorm. That's when he noticed they were all outside the dorms already...crap. Jace walked briskly out of the barracks to take his place at the head of his platoon. He stood at attention as he was expected to before his commanding officer. "Sir, 2nd Platoon reporting." he gave the standard response.

Cora had to agree with the Cinder, it certainly was more than a little bit of a mess. She offered a small smile and returned with a light handshake as she introduced herself, "Cora Dryan. Is this your first year here? I don't quite remember seeing you around last cycle." Slipping the tie that had held her braid around her wrist as she withdrew her hand, she quickly combed her fingers through her hair to release the last tangles of the braid before shifting her seat on her bed to pull her daggers from their hiding spots and set them on the table next to her bed.

Casian gave a seal nod in greeting as Elroy approached and asked him if he could be of any assistance, "Thank you lieutenant but this is just an alpha issue, it seems my cadets have to much time on their hands so they can start their training today." He informed him before the sergeant returned with the Chief.

"What's all this about Commander?"the grizzled middleaged man asked.

Casian softly spoke with the man in a voice that others couldn't hear. The chief smirked and looked over the recruits before becoming serious and turning from the company stepping away and removing his coat and pistol while cracking his joints. Casian, meanwhile, turned to the company and spoke. "It seems that some of your fellow company members are eager to see a fight, so our gracious Chief here has agreed to give us a little combat instruction." He said as the Chief came back to stand beside him, much bigger looking now, "any volunteers?"

Tyjeris looks on as the man and his commander talk slowly moving his feet he really hated just standing there. He smiles wide as the commander starts to talk about the chief and that he is going to give us a little combat instruction. His smiles got bigger after he said any volunteers. "I'll do it," He yells out lifting his hand fast his ears moving side to side to hear and one talking about him. He waits for the commander to call on him.

Song blinked at the little announcement. They would actually let that happen? Well, she supposed if anyone got hurt, she was near enough to be of assistance, so it couldn't be that bad. She glanced around, looking for the voice that had volunteered. She examined him for a moment, then looked back at the chief he was supposed to be fighting...or, as he had put it, recieve a little combat instruction. She could already see that she would have to be working on the cadet when it was all over; she was sure of it. She remained still, watching and wating, already dreading it. She was never fond of fights, so she was glad now that she had thought to keep her medical stuff with her; she was going to need it. Or someone else would, anyway.

Jace groaned he really didn't like it when someone was made an example of. Though that might of been because he'd been one when he was a new recruit. He turned back to see who had volunteered to fight the Chief. The kid seemed energetic and the prospect of a fight seemed to make him happy. Looked like he'd do well enough for Casian's example. He hadn't seen anyone else volunteer and it made him wonder if they had an idea of what was going to happen.

Handler just stood by, Casian having stepped back, and the moment the young cadet’s hand went skyward he smirked, his black aviator glasses hiding his eyes as he pointed to the pack of recruits, “You…” he said calmly and then pointed to the ground before him, “Step up…”

He would wait for him to get there before he told him bluntly,” try and take me down.” and just stood by awaiting the recruit to make the first move. Casian stood by the edge of a circle he had drawn in the dirt with his foot while the cadet stepped forward, he was just standing their stoic now with no emotion on his face, and he once again resembled the man who had stood upon the stage. He was monitoring the platoons through their auras, a mass of energy that streamed from the cadets in a mass of colors that burned into the sky. It was one of the things Magus could do, read an opposing aura and interpret the power of their enemies. Right now some auras were blunted but thick and others were tall and thin, he noted the sizeable difference between the sergeants and cadets, and then took a comparison between the squad leaders and platoon leaders. Some were similar but the average difference was a hill to a mountain. He didn’t even dare glance at the Chief, having seen his aura time and again he was tired of having to squint his eyes to not be blinded by the bright light when the man got serious, right now it was only about the size of a platoon leaders…

“That kid is in for one hell of a surprise.”

Axelle stopped spinning the blade and sheathed it as she saw the Chief. She rolled her eyes at Casian, knowing exactly what was going on. She smiled when it was a soldier from her plattoon that raised his hand and offered to fight. She was glad that he was eager, despite the menacing look of the chief, but she would have to teach him to be smart. Maybe the Chief would do that enough for her.

Axelle wandered over to wear Casian was standing and didn't even look to him as she spoke. "Is this really that important? You could have let me fight someone just as easily and an even bigger crowd would have come." She noticed the focus on his face and rolled her eyes again. Personally, she wasn't fond of sensing auras unless it was in a battle.

Elroy, being himself, was one to stay, and get his own opinion on things. It was no secret that Elroy had short man syndrome, even though not always obnoxious about it, he would put his say in things. Elroy was a very formal man in public, very polite, and strict. During times that these, even though he is not the lieutenant of the Alpha, but instead the Delta, he would advise Casian. It's something that has grown to be a habit of his, and he is carefull what he says.

"Ehh...Capetan." He spoke, standing about 5 feet behind his leader. "With respect, Monsieur, I do not believe that allowing your sister to leave her platoon, and informally approach you, sets ehh..good example for le others? Many get ze wrong idea of informality and order...ehh... considering, ze do not know of le family relationship? Oui?"

Quiet pleased with himself, he stepped back to the side and waited for Casian's reaction. He knew that even if Casian thought he was incorrect, that it would be excuse-able and acceptible for him to have said. Casian knows his fields of study, and why he was commissioned as Lieutenant of the Delta Company. He is over-the-top formal.

While wandering around the halls of the dorm rooms trying to find his assigned room, Jan heard a blaring whistle. The youth paid it no heed, thinking that they couldn't have been seriously intending to call out all of the freshman again within such a short time span, he he was shortly proven wrong as a large number of students orderly marched down the hall and out of the building. Not wanting to miss something that seemed to be for all students (regardless of how ridiculous it seemed by this point), Jan followed the group outside, only to find a large grouping of students, commanders, and a middle aged man surrounding a dirt circle. The middle-aged man and a student who looked oddly cat-like were about to enter the ring (which indicated some sort of combat arena), meaning that ANOTHER fight had broken out, but that this time they wanted to be "civil" about it.

But on second thought, Jan realized that didn't make any sense: After all, why would a teacher bother engaging in a formal fight with a student, especially when there were much easier ways of beating up or humiliating said student? That only left the possibility of a self defense training exercise (which would be a nice thing considering how often fights seemed to break out around Capitol Academy), or...

"Gee..." Jan remarked sarcastically, "do they do this every year so that the students understand who's in charge, or are we special?"

Jace walked forward "Why would anyone make a special occasion out of you beating someone up, it's not like they won't see that happen again." commented Jace as he approached Axelle and Casian. "Also I've got decent odds on the cadet getting through this without getting anything broken." stated Jace as he took out a notepad from his jacket. "Or maybe I don't, because Gambling is probably wrong." inserted Jace looking at Elroy and moving the notepad to the side away from his fellow platoon leader. He really didn't need some holier than thou reprimand from Elroy or worse a report of misconduct.

Tyjeris starts to walk up "Romulus stay here and out of it ok." He says now smiling even bigger looking at the chief as he walks up and stops right in font of him. He looks up at the higher ranked man slowly putting his hands behind him moving his hands a little as a dagger slide into both hands from under his sleeves. He slides his right foot back fast and would swing his dagger in his right hand fast meaning to miss as he would swing the dagger in his left hand to the right side of the chief.

Axelle spun around to glare at Elroy, her eyes were like daggers in his direction. "How could someone not know about the family relationship?" She asked, her voice level but stern. She didn't care if he was in the same rank as her in school, when it came to the real world people shouldn't question her moves to Casian.

"We're te prince and princess of Shar. If someone doesn't know who we are, they should just leave now. And as for suggesting I leave to Casian, you and I can have a little chat afterwards. Maybe teach you your own lesson in ethics, d'accord?" She turned back around to watch the fight, but still spoke to him using the French she had learned in her high school years. "Ferme ton bouche, s'il vous plait."

Axelle watched the boy's initial technique and was instantly pleased. A similar fighting style as hers: no tryiing brute force, but strategic.

[Axelle's french: d'accord = alright? Ferme ton bouche= shut your mouth, please. (the equivalent of shut up if i remember right)]

Casian glanced at the French lieutenant as he gently made a comment to attempt a slight reprimand on his command style, he couldn’t wipe the small smile off his face, “You’re right, but even if I did try to stop her she’d just ignore me and should I try to punish her I’ll have to deal with father, but you’re welcome to try and command her if you want, just wear a cup when you do.” He said without a notation of sarcasm. Still he just watched the fight as it went on.

The Chief waited for the kid to get closer, his arms still crossed as the kid drew two knives and made to use them, decent form and good speed but... “You lack power kid.” He added as he stepped into the attack and grabbed the students right wrist, while his left knee went up to hit the student in the chest, “Pay attention cadets, never half ass a counter, if you’re going to stop an enemies attack put them on the ground before they can continue.” He added the last syllables slightly accented as he made to drive his left forearm through the cadet’s upper body to fling him to the ground while grabbing the dagger in the right hand.

Song watched, curious, as he managed to explain what he was doing, and throw off the cadet eaasily enough. She winced, though, when he hit the ground. She'd definitely have to take a look later...it looked painful enough to her. She anxiously gripped one of the straps to her bag that went over her shoulder, biting her lip. He wouldn't do too much damage to a kid so much younger than himself...right? She could only hope. Still, she worked to memorize where the man was hitting him; knee to the chest, arm to a nearby area, and then he had hit the ground...this was partly so that, if he did get injured enough, she'd know where to look, and partially because she wasn't much of a fighter herself, and she might be able to use at least some of it, if it came down to it. She doubted it, but it never hurt to be prepared.

Vasalgo watched from the back, his arms crossed, a wild smirk printed across his face. The magister couldn't help but watch the physical display. Vasalgo would only weild a blade so he was not empty handed. A majority of students weren't nearly as proficent in magic as he, but most carried blades. Once that would make unarmored Vasalgo a little softer of a target. That is, if they could get close to him. He knew of almost noone that could say they could withstand sudden artic winds, or flames similar to what came from the mouth of a dragon. But this physical display really made him think about how squishy he was he had the strength of a well-fit grown man, but the Chief could probably toss him around like a sack of spuds....

He walked up silently behind Casian, and the french fellow; his name, he could never grasp, catching the end of their conversation. "Ah, well, I find it true to trust Casian. His ways may seem...odd, sometimes, but I'm more than asured that in his messed up little head, he justifies this somehow. And personally, I cannot blame him. I've never personally dueled Axelle one to one, but after watching the matches, I'd much value my pride in both it's physical manifestation of my groin, and in it's literal term." He said, looking over both of them.

Axelle smirked as Vasalgo and Casian enforced her point. The fight was how she expected it to go down and she was getting bored very quickly. Axelle walked away in search for Cal, She had some things that she wanted to speak with him about. "Adieu," she said to Vasalgo, ignoring the other two men before she walked briskly in the direction of the vampire's platoon. Cal was the only one she could trust with what she had to say, because they both has similar opinions of her brother.

Jace cringed at the blow the Chief gave the cadet...that had to hurt. He grinned bemused as the cadet came back up and attacked immediatly. If nothing else the kid had spirit. Though if things kept up he his spirit might land him a long stay in the infirmary. Jace had expected the recruit to keep fighting but he'd hoped he would of gone about it a bit better.

Jace turned toward Casian "I get that this is an important lesson, but maybe this should stop while the kid can still remember his own name." commented Jace as he watched the kid try to attack the Chief once more. It seemed he was launching another frontal assault, which considering how the last one went was probably not going to end very well. Jace doubted the Chief would do any permanent damage but if the kid kept getting back up things could get messy.

Elroy was happy when Axelle left. He didn't bother making any sort of remark that would make her want to stay around, out of anger. To him, and probably alot of people in this room, she looked like the little sister who screamed and threw a fit when she doesn't get her way. The best thing to do was just not give your opinion out while she's around, therefore, she isn't there to do anything about it.

He tipped his hat to Vasalgo when he approached, and spoke to him. "Bonjour Capetan...Any plans with the Delta Company today? Or are zey just settling down in their dorms for now?" He asked quietly. Not loud enough to draw attention to their conversation, just barely above a whisper.

Quietly, Elroy sat back and watched the fight, until Jace approached and asked Casian if the fight should be stopped. He laughed slightly to himself, wanting to interrupt and say that it's his fualt for stepping up. Although he had better manners than that, and let Casian answer the questions.
