It was dark out and barely anyone was out on the streets. A guy with dog ears and a tail was running from someone... or something. Suddenly there was a rush of wind and his head fell to the ground. It was as if his head was cut off clean with a sword, quick enough to not make a sound. A figure approach the head and the headless body aside it. "You shouldnt have attacked the neko girl or you would still be alive." A female voice said. It was the voice of Yuka Nekokami, a cat demon. He green hair with her cat ears and red eyes were her most noticeable traits. She stashed the head of the inu guy in a sack and cut off the tail from the headless body. It was to make sure that no one found out that nekos or inu existed.

Yuka went back to where she came from and picked up a neko girl with a gash on her left arm. "Dont worry. We will be at the meeting soon and we will be able to patch you up." Yuka said. She then leaped away. Soon they arrived at a door at an old building and entered. There others like them were waiting. "We arent all here yet. We need to wait some." Yuka said. Yuka wore a red waloli dress with golden blossoms on it as well as a black collar with the buckle to the back, covered by her hair. It gave more of an impression that she wore a black choker than a collar, It was really a matter of moments before the meeting would start. Meanwhile she grabbed some blue yarn out of a bag and held it up as some of the nekos started to reach for it.

Mao sat in the dark room, where other nekos like herself sat around. Their voices were like a small buzzing wave; not able to understand what they were saying, but you knew they were still talking. Her slender legs were crossed as she sat in her seat, fingering gently at the small roundish bell attatched to the deep blood red collar on her neck. It let out a few small chimes here or there as she pushed at it and Mao wondered what this meeting would bring...She had been to them a few times before, of course, but there was always something different to discuss....

Mao was wearing a small, gothic-like dress which only barely went past her knees. It was thin and sleeveless. She wore black flip flops and fish netting, fingerless gloves. Her nails seemed to be painted a dark red color, but they were very long and sharp, almost like claws. When ever her lips parted her pearly white cat fangs could be seen, but she never parted her mouth to speak. Only to yawn once in a while. Her ink black hair hung over her shoulders, smooth and iron flat. She always wore something different in her human form. When in human form, Mao was much more girly; wearing pink and flowers and other frilly items. While in neko form, however, she would always wear more comforatable clothes which she enjoyed. They usually consisted of dark, baggy, easy-fitting clothing and items.

Her soft ears prick up in curiousity as the door suddenly opens, seeing the moon's light leak into the room before it is cut off when the door is closed behind the cat demon. The room seemed to grow silent for a moment as all the glowing eyes of the nekos gazed towards the cat demon who entered. She seems to be carrying a younger neko who had a serious wound on her arm. It wouldn't be life threatening, however...Her bright yellow eyes stare in anticipation at the yarn the cat demon pulls out, dangling it in the air as nekos here or there batted at it with their claws. Her pupils shrink into small slits as Mao seems to lock onto the yarn. It takes every fiber of her being to not jump out on top of the other nekos and snatch the yarn away. Her slick black tail gently flicks from side to side, as she rips her attention away from the yarn.

She knew these were her brothers and sisters, but didn't exactly know them, all at the same time...She could recall some of the faces which she had seen in her previous visits for meetings...But there were no names to match any of those faces...Being here always made her feel slightly uncomforatable because of that...She was quite shy around people she didn't know. Mao's heart was lightly thudding and her palms were sweaty as she grips at the sides of her seat, keeping her eyes locked ahead; blankly at the wall. Her small fuzzy ears are slightly drooped in shyness as her claws slightly dig into the metal of her seat.

"WAHAHA HOO!" Jared yelled out as he ran, easily out running the human guy behind him. Well, guys really. And all of this attention just because he hit on a group of girls that had boyfriends already? Now how was he supposed to know that? Well, honestly, he did know. He just wanted a bit of excitement. Well, he got it. And was loving every minute of it. Of course, he was in his human form, but still ran faster than these barbarians, and he could see them tiring. He might have to give them a little slack, so they would keep chasing him.

"Awh, c'mon guys! Are you getting a bit tired?" He laughed at their huffing and puffing and stopped running to face them. He would give them a little break, have them try and hit him. But soon he'd be flying again. And he knew they would follow, at least for a bit. But not yet. No, he wouldn't run yet. Let them get a few swings in. Even allow a hit. Then see how mad they would get when they saw he could take it.

The first one arrived, towering over him. Jared simply smiled largely at him, then he ducked as one of the large meaty fists tried to punch him. As his friends came and circled around Jared, he ducked and dodged, occasionally allowing a hit, but always keeping a grin on his face. Then, suddenly, he struck out and hit one, stunning him. This made the man stumble, giving Jared room to escape. And escape he did. He was running through the streets again being chased, all while on his way to the meeting. He'd have to ditch these guys soon, unfortunately. Damn meetings, always ruining his fun.

He took a turn, quickly losing his pursuers, and slowed to a trot, then a walk. He could see the building now. He took his collar out of his pocket and slipped it on his neck, his ears and tail instantly coming out and his eyes changing color slightly. There was no risk of being caught. No human came here. He strolled into the building and looked around at all the other inus, waving to some, grinning. He found a seat and put himself in it, waiting for the meeting to start. He didn't know why he came on time. They always started late.

Rei Tsubasa, a young neko (cat creature), walked under a bridge on his way to a secret meeting. This meeting only took place every once in a while, but he wholeheartedly wished to come to this one since it'd been a while since the last one. His green eyes swiveled about when he came upon an old looking building. He looked left then right then up and down. Next he smiled and thought, "Good, no one's here," he stepped towards the old building and went inside, pulling his white leather jacket around him tightly. He was pretty fashionable and wore a nice black t-shirt and blue jeans. He walked very silently in his brown boots until the white hair on the back of neck stood up. His ears perked up too upon hearing the sound of other nekos like him. The looked like they were playing with a long string of blue yarn as he peeked in and watched the yarn dangle from a woman's hands.

It was Yuka who wore a red waloli dress with golden blossoms on it as well as a black collar with the buckle to the back, covered by her hair. She also wore a black collar like his own that looked more like a choker. Rei's mouth dropped slightly. He wasn't supposed to like cat demons, or so he was told since they protected him and other nekos from inus, but Yuka was one cat demon who was hard to look away from. Her green hair and cat ears made her really stand out, especially since he knew that compared to other nekos she was strong.

There was also another neko with black hair and yellow-golden eyes sitting around too. He could tell they were after the same thing. The yarn...

"I'm-I'm here..." he announced his eyes watched the blue yarn move back in forth as he stood around watching the nekos around him bat at it.

Yuka put away the yarn as it was almost time for the meeting to start. Some of the nekos complained about her putting the yarn away. But the members of the neko society didnt really know about the reason of this times meeting. Yuka knew. It was pretty much that the cat demons had found out about a inu-neko relationship and they needed the nekos to cooperate in getting their friends to stay away from the inus and warn them about the dangers. But the nekos would soon find out about this. They just needed the rest to show up since still a couple neko comrades were missing. Hopefully they hadnt run into an inu.

Rei watched Yuka put the yarn away and nearly cried. "What is the reason for being here, Yuka?" he asked out of curiosity, raising his hand high in the air. He saw a lot of nekos around him, but this didn't seem like a regular meeting. He wanted to get to the bottom of this so he could leave and continue walking around the fine city of Gatokura, what a lovely name it was, no implications of their being dogs in the city was ever revealed by the name. It was the way any good city of cats was meant to be.

He'd heard about Yuka's bad temperament before and maybe that was the reason she'd gathered them together. Perhaps the cat demons were going to tell them that they were going to go on a wonderful little hunt. And all the nekos needed to do was stay put while they hunted inus. Many thoughts like this ran through Rei's mind as he questioned the current situation.

Once the string is put away Mao can feel her body relax. Her eyes gaze towards the neko which speaks up against the cat demon, seeming to demand an explanation as to why they had all been summoned here tonight. "Well...he's a bit ballsy, isn't he?.." Mao thinks to herself, rubbing softly at her ears as she watched, curious to see what Yuka would say. Although the question had been buzzing through her head like an angry bee, she would have never gained enough spirit to up and ask about it. Mao figured she would find out the answer for it soon, anyways....

Still, she wished it hadn't been taking so long to gather everyone around. She wanted to go off exploring...Not that she had many things to do or many places to see, but the fresh air always made her happy. In fact, Mao planned on going for a run on the beach tonight. She wasn't much tired. It was usually only during the day in which she took naps here or there. Mao, herself, was more of a night cat. The moon was her friend, indeed, and she was quite missing it at that moment. A soft sigh slips past her moist, pink lips. She closes her eyes, trying to place her mind somewhere else....

Thinking about the beach made her heart race. Mao could imagine herself running; feeling the cool sand in between her toes; feeling the fresh wind blowing through her hair, and seeing the bright moon reflect off the ocean like it was it's own personal mirror. If she imagined hard enough, Mao could even smell the salt water. The beach was definitly one of her favorite places at night. It was calm, beautiful, and refreshing...Not only this, but Mao loved the cold water on her bare skin. She loved being able to swim as she pleased, and that was naked. At night, no one was around, and no one could possibly see her. It was the perfect time to skinny dip. Unlike most other nekos, Mao loved to swim, but she hated having to wear any clothing while doing so. It just felt like annoying baggage that sagged and drooped in wierd ways when wet. Yes, that would be exactly where she would go after this meeting....Her tail gently sways from side to side as she continues to imagine, oblivious to the things around her at that moment.

Koby was lazily waking around the streets his eyes seemed distant. Alot of people passed him do to the fact on how slow he was walking. He wasn't in a rush really since the meeting may have started without him. Which for Koby suited him just fine since more than likely he would space out or even fall asleep. More than likely some complaints about random stuff or the nekos, but to Koby that didn't matter if they would learn to leave them alone then no one would get hurt.

Taking some of the back routes of the small alley ways, Koby made his way slowly to the building. He saw someone slowed down to trot, but he passed up the opening for him to see the person. Koby figured it may have been another one of his own kind or something. The only logic explanation for anyone to be down here that or hobo looking for food. Once he made it to the end of the alley way the person or whatever it wasn't there anymore. Now he definitely knew it was someone of his own kind. With that thought in mind, Koby let out a sigh as a pair of fluffy, black pointed ears poked from his head, his fangs grew out a bit, his dark brown eyes glowed a lighter brown, and a fluffy long black tail grew from his lower back.

Although the tail had always got caught his pants for that he undid the button and the zipper a little bit so his tail could slip through the loosened dark jeans he was wearing. Then Koby would just re-button his pants and fluff down his green shirt that he was wearing at this time. Once his transformation was done he then walked into the building. Where other Inus like himself were hanging around he didn't say much, but more or less nodded to people who where there and took a seat on a chair. Thinking to himself how nice it would be to go home and maybe take Blackberry, his cat, to a small park where they could play for a bit.

Skye yawned and stretched as her eyes slowly opened. She sat up like a limp doll, her arms hanging at her sides and her head resting on her shoulder. She yawned again and rubbed her eyes with her fists before they went limp again and helped her lean back. She sighed with bliss as she squeezed the soft grass that lay beneath her. She looked up, strength reaching her arms and legs as she saw the sun shining through the branches above her. She got onto one knee and then stood, stretching her arms above her head. She then looked around, finding out where she was in a second. She was in her favorite field. She smiled as she looked up at the sun shining through the branches.

Skye jumped as she suddenly remembered about a meeting of Inus about some big issue that no one seemed to know about. She was only going because, as always, she was curious. She then quickly picked up the pink plush pup that she always carried and ran, her special ability allowing her to easily duck and weave through the forest's tree branches. She smiled as she finally got to the city, knowing she was one step closer to finding out what the problem was. She took off again, dodging people this time. She ran into a man who was a lot taller than her and got bumped back. She looked up with a glare, stopping him from even speaking. After stepping to the side, she continued running.

Skye was only slightly slow as she reached and slowed to a walk so she could go down the alley. She walked down it, seeing the usual place she changed out in. She stepped into an abandoned house, going into one of the rooms and changing into her Inu form. As she changed into her dress, she let her husky ears and tail pop out. The tail swung a bit from side to side as she pulled a few clips from under her hair, releasing her hidden hair. She took out her short braid and braided the long section to finish off the dressing out. She stuffed her human outfit into the plush she carried, pulling out straps and then putting the plush on like a backpack. She stepped out of the house and took a few steps before opening the door to the meeting place and stepping just inside, closing the door behind her. She looked around before running a small distance so that she jumped over two rows of chairs and reached her usual one. Many people stepped out of her radius, though she didn't mind because it was normal for her. She sat down, immediately distracting herself from her surroundings by twiddling with her fingers.

Yuka then found it to be the right time to tell the nekos about what was going on since some started to become impatient. "Well everyone or everynyan. The reason for this meeting is that we have found out about a relationship between a neko and an inu. For your own safety, we need you to keep away from inus and better not start a relationship with an inu since then you are open for an attack by them. Any inu who gets too close to a neko or hurts them will meet death." Yuka then grabbed the severed inu head out of a bloody bag. "I witnessed this inu slapped a fellow member of our community and threated to beat her. Therefore I showed this inu the consequences. Remember a relationship can result in your inu partner resulting to violence against you." There were gasps in the crowd.

"That's all this is about? Guys beating up girls?" Rei announced in a shocked manner as he stepped forward into the probably shocked crowd. "Look, I know you mean well, but DID you really have to bring us back a severed head? I say this because I know all you ladies out there probably will see this as a sign of the evils of Inu, but surely, surely, we did not have to go this far. I hardly doubt an Inu guy would go this far. Granted, I hate them as much as the next Neko but you've maybe gone a bit too far Yuka-sama. You're a cat demon and all, but you really must have overdone it trying to take justice out on this guy."

Rei knew he was talking to Yuka the greatest out of many of the cat demons, but he just didn't like the fact that she'd brought them back a severed head. It was disturbing and if the Inus really went this far so sometimes as to deserve this treatment then no one was safe. "Can't we at least respect their territory and bar them from here? If we do that they won't be coming back here with the intentions you've just indicated to us Yuka-sama."

"Just another day," Mamoru said to himself as he looked down at the headless body lying on the ground. "Any leads?" He asked one of his partners. "None. No witnesses, no prints, no nothing." He responded. Mamoru sighed. He knew exactly what happened here. He could smell it, the distinct smell of a Neko demon. He could see it, decapitation and the chopped of tail. Yet another Neko demon killing an Inu. "This is the fifth time this month. Why does this keep happening?" He asked no one in particular. "That's for you to find out Subarashi." Said his boss from behind him. Mamoru sighed again and walked over to his car. "Tokage, Okina, come on." He said, calling out to his partners. "We've got work to do." Tokage, a male with a thin build and pale skin, and Okina, a short female, jogged over and got in the car as Mamoru started it. "Yup, just another day."

Mao slowly opens her eyes, listening barely to the voices around her, only to have eye contact with a severed head. Her eyes grow wide and her fur spikes up in fear as a small squeek can be heard from her. She flinches, leaning back against her seat, as Mao stares at the head in almost disbelief. Suddenly, the small conversation from the cat demon before, which she had barely been listening to, flooded into her head. The sweet scene of water and beach were replaced with blood and empty eyes. Mao could feel her stomach twist and she gags, quickly looking away from the grusome sight, holding her mouth tight. "Why did she bring that horrid thing in here?...And what is all this talk of Inus and Nekos being together? Repulsive!" Mao thinks to herself, her body shivering in disgust.

"What Neko would ever be close to an Inu? They are horrid, vile creatures...Creatures which-"...Mao cuts off her thought, venturing to think for a moment about her dark past which was connected to those monsters called Inus. Her ears droop in sadness as she slowly pulls her hand away from her mouth, still refusing to look anywhere near the cat demon or the head. Mao could hear Rei complaining, but didn't care enough to actually tune in to any of his words. Her heart was racing. She just wished she could run away from there; escape. Mao already knew the dangers of Inus. She didn't need to be dragged here to be told so again, and shown hidious things. It was ruining her mood. Mao wasn't so sure she would head to the beach now. The sights had left something distasteful on her tongue and Mao only wished to head home and sleep it off.

As one neko questioned Yuka's actions and saw it as senseless violence, Yuka then continued: "It is simple to say that this kill was more of a warning to the inus that if they cause problems, then we will make them live in fear. Two nekos had been found brutally murdered with evidence of an inu attack. The third I could save, though she got away with a rather deep but not fatal gash in her arm. Take a look at her." Yuka then pointed at the neko girl she saved earlier and the girl came up to the front. The gash had been treated and stitched. It needed a total of six stitches.

A rather sadistic and somewhat psychotic smile came upon Yukas face. It was a dark and scary expression. "If the inus want a war, then that is what they get." Yuka said. "Cooperate and we can create a safe place for our community."

"Excuse me while I go puke. But I really don't think I'm up for a meeting involving a war which really has no grounds to it." Rei stated as he stuck his tongue out in disgust at Yka's evil, psychotic smile. He looked at the injured Neko and sighed, "Sure must have hurt to be slashed at by an inu, but they really couldn't have meant bad things towards you." He took pity on the neko girl and her her stitched arm, yet was not willing to believe that someone like Yuka would go out to war to defend them over something as trivial as this.

Rei turned away from Yuka and said, "You should take care of the girl cat demon. I'm going out for a walk." He didn't feel like referring to Yuka by name now after what he'd seen her do. It was disturbing.

"He was a very close friend. Actually to be right, I was the one who had the relationship with an inu. He made me believe that he was honest with his love but then he wanted more but I didnt. He wanted to force me to and then I scratched him. He snapped and then started to beat me. He cut my arm and said that he would kill a vile woman like me. Then Yuka rescued me." The neko girl said. She was scared. This experience had scarred her both physically but also emotionally. "Please forgive Yuka-sama. She is just worried about our safety."

Mao stands to her feet, the smell of the bloody head too much for her nostrils. She was upset for the girl, sure. It must have been hard, loving someone only to have them attack you with the will to kill...Still, it was none of her concern. She knew the dangers of Inus, and Mao couldn't help but feel this neko girl only brought the trouble down on herself by allowing the Inu to trick her into thinking he loved her. Her ears pull back as her bright yellow eyes stare shakily at the girl and the cat demon. "I am sorry for what has occured...But we know the dangers of the Inus...Now please, allow us to leave. I don't think I can stand the smell much longer..."

Mao blurts out, finally, holding the back of her hand against her nose in the attempt to keep the smell from reaching her. Still, it didn't do much. Mao wanted to embrace the poor girl who probably not only got her arm slashed, but her heart broken. But the smell was like a barrier which kept her at quite a distance away from the two. She wasn't sure how any of the other nekos could handle it, being that their sense of smell was much greater than an average human.

Koby lazily looked around as the Inus started coming in from the outside. He watched as some started to converse others asking about the meeting. He then reached in his jacket pocket to find a tennis ball. Which made his ear twitch and his tail wag a bit as he held the green ball. The ball smelled of fresh cut grass which was from the park he played at with Blackberry. Koby moved a little ways from all the other Inus he then bounced the ball. It slightly echoed as it hit the concrete floor this made him smile and wagged his tail even more.

Looking around for a brief second, he then tossed the ball against the wall and caught the ball with his opposite hand. He then tossed the ball against the wall again this time faster. Koby gradually increase the speed of tossing the ball until he felt it was fast enough. Playing with the ball he would hit it or block it. This is what he did when he saw his favorite tennis ball eventually it ended up with him catching it in his mouth trying to chew on it.

"Well then. That should be it. It wasnt my decision to insight fear into the inus. It was the decision the cat demons made together and the majority vote won." Yuka said. With that the meeting was dismissed. Yuka then decided to head out. As soon as she stepped outside, her ears and tail disappeared and she had normal human ears again. She took off her collar and replaced it with a black cloth choker. She then took off the dress reveiling a white button up shirt and a short skirt. She buttoned the shirt all the way up and put on a red tie. It should do until she gets to the maid cafe. Then she headed over to the maid cafe where she worked.

Mao happily follows Yuka outside as soon as the meeting is dismissed; almost jogging. She gasps in the fresh air once reaching the outside, it feeling like ice going down her throat. Her fuzzy black ears and tail shrink and disappear, but she didn't have a change of clothes yet. Her bright yellow eyes fade to their normal hue of brown as they gaze over the horizon. The sun was just beginning to rise, casting an orange and purplish tint into the sky. Apparently the meeting had lasted longer than Mao had anticipated. Running her fingers through the back of her thick black hair, a soft sigh passes her lips.

"Well, I guess I should head home, change and take a nap for a few hours before I begin my training..." Mao mumbles, speaking to herself. She begins to slowly walk towards her home, the bell attached to her collar letting out a few chimes here or there with each stride that she made. Mao hadn't taken it off yet, being that she had no pockets to place it in until she could change her clothing. It didn't bother her, though. Many of the humans now a days wore collars. It seemed to be "in style" with them, so it wasn't as if she would be out of place.

As Mao strode the somewhat lit streets, she could hear as the birds sung their sweet songs. They had only recently awoken and warmed up their feathers. Her eyes were blank. Mao was walking, but it was as if she wasn't there at the same time. Her mind was still with that girl who had been attacked by her supposed Inu lover. Her heart ached for the poor neko, but at the same time she couldn't help but feel angered by the neko girl at the same time for not seeing exactly what would have happened if she accepted the Inu as her lover. Her body was moving by it's own accord, and Mao didn't seem to notice she was walking straight into the street with a green light glowing above her head....and a car driving straight towards her....

Jared stormed out of the meeting. It still hadn't started and he was getting antsy. It happened pretty easily. So he decided to leave. Obviously it wasn't that important if they weren't starting yet. As soon as he went outside, his tail and ears went away and his eyes went from amber to grey. He then started sprinting. He had been cooped up for way too long to simply walk, he needed to let the pent up energy out.

When he made it to an intersection, he stopped as the light turned green. He looked over and noticed that a girl was still walking. Was she suicidal? He doubted it, she looked like she wasn't even paying attention. He sighed and ran for the girl, seeing a car coming at her. He trapped her around the waist and kept running. When he had made it to the other side before the cars could get them, he pit the girl down and looked at her. "So, you crazy? Or just suicidal?" He asked her, not needing to catch his breath.

Mao can feel as there is a sudden grasp of force around her waist. She lets out a scream of surprise, struggling with whatever had hold of her as it sprinted across the road. It was then that she had suddenly been snapped out of her thoughts. When the boy finally set her down on the other side, Mao let out an angry huff. "What's your-" but she quickly cuts her sentence off. Staring up at the bright green light and watching as the cars easily drive through the intersection made her realize what had just occurred.

Suddenly, Mao becomes very shy. She stumbles over her words, smoothing out her hair. "S-sorry...I didn't realize...I was just thinking..." She had felt bad for suddenly snapping at the boy when he had just rescued her...Damn, that was sure to have hurt if Mao had actually been hit..."Thank you for that..." She mumbles, giving an appalogetic smile as her eyes gaze at the cement below. The bell on her collar gives off a sweet melodic chime once again as she shifts weight from one foot to the other.

However, Mao becomes eerily silent. There was something strange about this boy; something about him which didn't smell like an average human. What was it?...After a few moments of thinking, Mao quickly brushes it aside. Surely it was just her imagination.

Jared grinned at the girl who suddenly became all shy and quiet. "Awh, it's no big deal really. Just a bunch of cars. I like running anyways. Especially after being cooped up for so long- gah! It was terrible." His speech was fast, just like his whole body. He then really looked at the girl. She was pretty cute. His grin became wider as he put his stuck his hand out for her to shake. "The name's Jared. Now, what's a pretty girl like you doing, one, walking alone, and two, almost getting killed?" He too a deep breath in through his nose. This girl didn't smell normal. She smelled like... Cats. But that could mean that she just had a lot of them. Cat ladies tended to smell like cats. It didn't mean she had to be a neko. But she was wearing a collar... But so was he, and a lot of teens around. It didn't mean anything. He pushed all those thoughts aside.

Mao blinks slightly, finally looking up towards him. Her deep brown eyes gazed into his. Whenever the rays of the sun hit them just right, they almost looked like amber jewels. She tried hard to follow his words, but they were fast and frantic. It was apparent this boy named "Jared" was quite energetic. It wasn't something Mao disliked, but she already knew having a friendship or anything else with this human would be quite difficult, especially if it required her to understand most of the things he would say. Where had he been cooped up, anyway?

However, before Mao can ask the question, he begins asking his own. The compliments which he graceshiously gives to her cause her cheeks to turn a slight pinkish color. Mao could tell she was blushing by the increased warmth in her face. She hoped dearly the human was unable to see it. With a slight nod, Mao reaches her hand out and grasps his, giving it a firm shake. Her skin was soft and warm. "Nice to meet you Jared...I'm Mao..." She easily replies, her voice as soft as silk. However, Mao had to think a moment before answering his other questions. She surely couldn't tell Jared about the meeting and why she had really been walking around town so early in the morning....So she had to come up with an excuse...

Mao parts her lips to finally speak again after a few moments. "Well...it was my mother...she had gotten real sick and had to be taken to the hospital..." She makes up, tears welling up in her eyes as she forced sad thoughts through her head. If she was going to make up a sad story to cover her track, she needed to play the part as well...Mao sniffles a little, trying to hold back the tears. "I wound up falling asleep beside her...I'm so worried about her, really...Well, when I woke up, I realized I should probably head home...so I started walking, but my mind has been filled with so much worry for her that I guess I spaced out...I really didn't mean to..." Mao states, rubbing at her eyes to whipe away any stray tears.

Mao. That was the girl's name? Maybe she really was a cat lady after all. He shook her hand firmly when she grasped his own hand. She was so soft and frail, she somewhat reminded him of a cat. And she was blushing too? Awh, it was so cute. He loved when girls blushed. It made them so adorable. He was about to say something, but then the girl started sniffling and her eyes were watering up as she started talking about her sick mother. His face softened as he listened and his heart went out to the girl. He couldn't stand to see girls cry. Something about it made him feel terrible, like he had done something wrong. He grabbed the girl, wrapping her in a hug. "Awh, hunnie, I'm so sorry!" He said, squeezing her. He'd do anything to make the girl stop crying, anything. He couldn't stand this. He let go of her and gave her a small smile, looking at her chocolate eyes. "Here, let me get you something for breakfast, huh? Maybe that'll help you clear your mind. What do ya say?"
