Introduction
The Beginning- In the beginning, after the realm of mortals was crafted and the mortal creatures were given life, the gods each took a responsibility that they would hold upon the mortal world. Beliar would take destruction, and be responsible for all the death and horrors that would befall men. Gods however are not judged as men. They are not good or evil. Each of them, including Beliar, loved the mortals. So when he was tasked with taking life he only knew sadness. Some would say that Beliar, having to take so many lives, cared most of all for the mortal races.
The War- In the first few centuries of their short lives the mortal races had grown into independent beings detached from the gods. They sent prayers less and less to the gods and many believed that soon they would toss away the gods for false idols. It was then decided that the gods would start again and wipe their creations away. Beliar was tasked with eliminating all mortal races, but he refused. He alone fought the other gods and he alone protected the mortals for centuries as the others tried to lay waste to the realm of the living. Because he protected the mortals they sent him prayers which made him stronger and soon he was not just protecting the mortals, but driving the other gods out of the realm of mortals all together. The war soon became less about killing the humans, and more about killing Beliar. So the other gods chose people on earth still loyal to them to stop the worshipers of Beliar by any means possible. Soon the Templar Order rose. Devoted to Tyrin, god of order, the took up arms and killed any that dare worship Beliar. Beliar found himself on the losing side of the war as he lost more strength every day.
Whats Left Of A Legend- After centuries of war and conflict Beliar was close to death and could no longer fight his brothers and sisters. Before the final blow was delivered he tore his own immortal soul out and divided it into six pieces, each would then seek out a newborn child. Now that he was gone these children would have the power to change the world any way they see fit. Now what they do with it is up to them.
