Life?
Psh, no.
Joss scrunched her nose up at the claim before shaking her head. That was absurd. Life was a blessing denied her and for someone to even insinuate at her having received that blessing was a blasphemy. As flattered as she was, she couldn't help but think of it as misinformation on the boy's part. She shamelessly stepped forward and reached up to give him a reassuring stroke over his shoulder with one of her hands. Notably, she was tiny when up-close. She was rather small otherwise as well, but when putting her next to someone else of relatively standard size, her minimal size became all the more obvious. Painfully so.
"They called me 'doll'", she muttered hesitantly. "And I'm not a lifeform."
That's just the way it was, to her. She wasn't living, and that's the end of the discussion. She wouldn't take no for an answer on this one.

"... Doesn't that, you know... Hurt? And how did they fit a machine inside your body?"
Machines, to Joss, aren't portable. They're huge, monstrous constructions that she'd rather avoid than coming anywhere near. She awkwardly held the little rock in a free hand, the map resting folded up in her other. Her gaze shifted occasionally between the rock and the boy. What was she going to do with a rock? Strange. Very strange.
"... Thank you. It's a pretty rock."
It was painfully apparent just how confused and awkward she was. She didn't really know what to do or say at this point. This was one strange living being, indeed.

Keran noticed how the boy was standing and the general atmosphere around him, seemingly kind, but maybe trying to hard to be so. Nethertheless, Keran was being just as polite, smiling kindly as he waited for a reply. The guy was dressed in quite a sporty way, which gave the impression he was probably going to be in some kind of sports team, but Keran tried not to think into this too much, as it seemed quite irrelevant to the point at hand. He began to daydream as he waited for the boys response, but could be easily broken out of it by a few well directed words, which he was most likely about to hear.

Aaron moved down the long hallway to the end where he was told the list of rooms were. He finally made it to the end where a tall archway was that let in air from outside, and making it very fresh in the stone hallway. To both his left and right were staircases that went upwards, and as Aaron looked up, he realized that the hallway's ceiling was about ten stories high, with windows looking down on each story, that he guessed were to the rooms. Aaron looked around for the list that the man had told him was on the wall near the staircases. He found it next to the left staircase and read it up and down, looking for his room number. It wasn't there so Aaron moved over to the right list and found his room number.
Fifth Floor: Room 94: Aaron Sheeder and Nuriel Gonzales
So he did have a roommate. Though Aaron liked company, he didn't really want a roommate, because Aaron could be dangerous at night and he couldn't control himself in werewolf form. He realized now that before the moon came up, he'd have to get out of the building and into the forest for the night, otherwise he'd end up eating his roommate, and that wouldn't be too good he thought.
Aaron moved up the steep staircase until he got to the fifth floor and looked down the outdoor hallway for his room's door. The room was at the end of the hallway, and looked like it had a window that looked over the forest behind the school. Thank god there was a place Aaron could roam around without being a danger to the island's community. He put the key into the lock and opened the door. The room was farely large, about the size of a two bed hotel room. The walls were painted a beige color and the floors were brown carpet. A large, square window was on the far wall that looked over the forest and the ocean behind. Two beds were on the other wall, one with a few bags that Aaron didn't recognize and the other with a duffel bag and a tattered backpack. That was Aaron's stuff, so he guessed that it was his bed. He sat down and decided what he'd do next.
Maybe he'd go down to the village, but then he remembered that he had no money to his name. He hoped that the school had their own food that they gave to the students. It's the least that they could do for keeping them all here against their will.

After looking around he turned back to Nuriel and let out a sigh of relife. "So, what is it like to be a Nephilim, is it strange? I have never met one myself you see." He looked over Nuriel curiously, as if expecting some detailed essay from him on the differences between angels and Nephilim, but he some how new in the back of his head that this probably wasn't the case. This did not diminish his hope however.

"My name is Keran Anglesmith, Angel of Britain." he said. Nuriel noticed now his accent, though said nothing of it.
geez.. these peoople spread out far and wide... he though to him self.
"Erm, a Nephilim is half angel and half human, long history made short, we were made to fight, though now, were not as needed... so you're a full angel? thats pretty cool!" He said smiling. He noticed that Keran's wings were still out and ready.
"Well, i see you were ready to take flight? mind if i join you?" He asked, opening his wings a little wider

While thinking and muttering to herself, Zin would run into people and say 'sorry' but for some reason they would give her wierd looks. Why are they looking at me- " Aaaaaah, I need to stop talking in my native tounge. " She scolded herself. English! English! English! English! English! English! English! She ranted inside her head.

Giving a final look, Surma shook his head and extended his hand, "I'm Surma Armastus.. And you are?" he wasn't sure whether to expect a returning hand shake or to be ignored, but in either case he was contented. The only real reason Surma was introducing himself was because he thought it only right to have a bit of coutoursy since he just destroyed this guys icecream, which he seemed quite broken up about losing. "Sorry about your.. icecream.." He shrugged, hand still out waiting for a response.

When he got to the dorms he slided the keycard to see a small light turn on and the door sound unlock, koji pushed on it slowly feeling the chilly air escape the room almost as if running away from the room, inside everything seemed to have a small amount of artificial snow gathering ontop of it, the electronics seemed to have special covers and heaters to prevent them from freezing solid, the same went for the water, it was the semi-hot thing in the room, pretty much any liquid that would be leth without stiring would freezes in a couple of minutes. Looking above, he noticed a wierd vent, seemed like a few silent machines fed the cold and the snow seperatly, maybe with a timer, the goverment didnt want to freeze somehow the student, if it was even possible, to them, they didnt want to take the risk.
"Well.. ill bite.. i wander how long it will be untill they send me a roommate" Finding his belongings already spreaded around the room, koji simply closed the door and started to walk back to the shops, he wanted to see what else he could find, maybe ice cream would hit the spot all over again.

"Ugh, I need to find that kid and ask for help." her room mate called from the other room, it seemed she was having trouble with whatever it was she was trying to do. Perhaps some of the students needed the academy after all, Corinne however felt like it was going to be pointless for her she'd practised enough with her flying and healing powers and she could now perform them with ease. She walked back into the bedroom and began taking out her neatly folded piles of clothes and placing them into drawers. "I'm a shadow maker by the way. And half Succubi, but I don't have the tail." Clare said and Corinne smiled as she put away the last of her clothes, she looked over to her room mate and raised one eyebrow questioningly as she took out her photographs and books and placed them under the bed. Claire straightened up and sighed "There we are, all finished. Now what? Food?"

"Well, i see you were ready to take flight? mind if i join you?" Keran nodded immediatly and drew his wings outwards further now, he let out a small smile as a small gust of wind past them. His legs bent down as to concentrate his strength, he knew that flying is all about how you set off, if you trip as you take off you are more likely to hit something, this is why Keran was determined to get it right. He immediatly pushed off the the ground and flung himself into the air. For a moment it looked like he was going too fall back to earth until his wings began to flap, his body was pulled up by the force, slowly he looked down to Nuriel whilst flapping in the same spot, speaking in a excited tone now. "You coming or not?"

After a while of walking, she gave up with heading towards the gardens and sat down under a tree. She pulled out her notepad and pen, then looking around her, she started to write. Her writing flowed in elegant curves across the pages. Her mind was so far into the writing that it was unlikely that she would hear anyone trying to talk to her.

His eyes were usually up and front in the direction he was going in, although he did look around from time to time if not to look out for trees or other objects but to check if Nuriel was still around as well. He had not been in joint flight with anyone for such a long time, his last time was with his grandfather and even then he never decided where they were going, so he was used to playing the follower when it came to flying.
Whilst flying he took in long, deep breaths. Letting himself take in as much pleasure as he could about flying, pushing through the air gave him such a great feeling. He soon stopped, but not at the dorms, but rather near a patch where the trees liked to grow. He took in a few more deep breaths before turning back to Nuriel and pointed upwards. "Would you like to take this flight on a new level. Maybe further up and closer to the clouds?"

"Very well, suppose a flight to the dorms will do us good."Keran said as his flapping increased speed. Keran dodge tree after tree and Nuriel noticed that though he had trouble with the take off, he was a pretty good flier, He smoothly dodged trees left and right. Nuriel also did that, but incorporated his free running into it. Everytime he approached a tree he would draw in his wings and kick off a branch or trunk, then snap his wings out again, allowing him to gain speed and distance. though he made sure to keep behind Keran or alongside him.
Keran suddenly stopped and looked back at Nuriel. He pointed upward
"Would you like to take this flight on a new level. Maybe further up and closer to the clouds?" He said. Nuriels all ready wide smile grew wider with excitement. For the first time, he had a companion besides birds to fly with, and if Keran was thinking what Nuriel was thinking, then it would be a good friendship indeed. Nuriels mind drew back to the times when he would fly up to the empire state building, and, before the unfortunate accident, the WTC. and land on it, then fly high up only to furl up his wings and dive head first to the city below. The Ultimate Rush.
"Keran, You read my mind." He said giddily as he thrust up at full speed to the sky.
