Even though she was shocked, puzzled, and even more scared than anything, she thought it would be best to follow the man who claimed to be Austin to a diner where he said they were going to meet up with the rest of the group.
When she arrived she noticed another person seemed to look as clueless and lost as she was and the rest of them sat there talking among each other as if they knew each other for years. "We have a new face," Austin spoke up, claiming the attention of the others.
He took a seat at the table just as he noticed another new face, "I take that back, we have two," he corrected himself and signaled for Kaydence to take the empty seat by whom she only assumed was new to whatever this was as well. The waitress made her way to the table and began taking their orders one by one before her attention landed on herself and the boy beside her. Go on, order something. You need your strength," Austin stated to the both of them.
Kaydence glanced down at the menu as she cleared her throat. "Um... I'll take a sausage melt with a side of hashbrowns and a vanilla cappuccino." Just because she was new to whatever life she was now taking part in, it didn't mean she was new to this diner. She used to come here everyday after the end of the school day when she was in high school.
Jayke had been staring at his plate, deep in his thoughts, ignoring conversations he wasnt interested in. His mind had been on his former sister. Her green eyes burned into his mind forever.
When he had realized that he was no longer alive, his sisters emerald eyes were the last things he saw. There, was the moment Milo stopped existing. Jayke was the new him and he was a Reaper and he was to do a job, reap souls.
He stabbed his eggs with a fork, watching the creamy yolk spread out across the whites of the eggs, he had earlier covered in salt and pepper. He took a bit on his fork and had just finished his bite when the Boss walked in with a young female, seeming anxious.
Milo smiled remembering he had looked that same way when he started, but the manlier less feminine version of scared and anxious and devistated. He picked up a piece of bacon and took a bite, it crunching as he chewed.
Two new reapers now sat at this table.
Licking his lips he perked a brow. "Can I get a refill of coffee please?" He asked the waitress, with a smile before looking at the two new faces. "Welcome, Welcome⦠you can call me Jayke." He figured he would be nice and at least welcome the poor souls.

XXA sigh came over him as he was now at the diner, staring at the unfamiliar faces and extremely lost along with confused about what was happening. A blonde headed walked in with the same expression upon her face and she went over to sit beside Austin, Franklin soon followed behind her and did the same. Just as he was about to order after Austin insisted, the blonde headed female went first.
XX"I'll just have whatever she's having." Franklin said with a wink towards the blonde headed female that sat beside Austin. "I figure us newbies got to be the same and stick together." Just as he muttered those words, a guy welcomed and introduced himself towards the duo.
XX"Uhm, I'm Franklin. You can call me Franklin or Frank but never Frankie." Franklin introduced himself towards anyone that was actually listening to him. Hint that he did not say nice to meet you or anything of the sort because fact of the matter is, was it really nice to meet someone under these circumstances? "What about yourself, pretty lady?" Again, he was speaking to the blonde headed female that was seemingly new to this whole experience alongside him.

"Uhm, I'm Franklin. You can call me Franklin or Frank but never Frankie." Her fellow newbie introduced himself as well before adding, "What about yourself, pretty lady?"
Kaydence just looked between the two males who were speaking to her when the table fell silent. Was he just talking to her? Kaydence just gave a soft smile and decided to ignore the compliment and introduce herself, "Um, I'm Kaydence. Feel free to call me Kay for short if wanted," she stated to Jayke and Franklin.
At least they seemed to be polite. Though the entire time she sat there, there were two others who hadn't spoken a word to her. She began to wonder if they were of the friendly type. Kaydence had a feeling they probably weren't, but she wasn't going to jump to conclusions. Besides, her mother always taught her not to judge someone before you got to know them. Even then it's wrong to judge.
Honestly at that point, the words her mother taught her were no longer beginning to matter. Kaydence was dead now, the girl her mother knew was no longer there. Maybe now was her chance to be someone else.
