"I don't need your pity, and don't ask for it."

Description

Full Name: Ali Hill, 17, Female

< Physical Info >

Image
[Appearance]

Appearance: Ali has light, multicolored blond hair that reaches her mid-back when down and ice blue eyes. She is about 5'7 and has a thin build. She is a bit clumsy and often has a bored look on her face. She seems fairly normal on the surface. However, Ali is completely blind and has been since birth due to an almost completely missing optic nerve. Despite this, Ali can still move her eyes and blink, which she does to avoid the usual questions and unbearable pity.

She usually wears her school uniform whenever not on a mission. For missions, Ali wears a black sleeveless top with a hood that spits at her waist and reaches her knees. Under this, she wears black, knee-length tights and black boots. She carries one long dagger at her belt and a smaller one in her boot.

Ali also has a black, scrawny cat with eyes as ice-blue as her own that never leaves her side. She obtained permission to keep it with her at all times as a "seeing-eye cat" due to her special circumstances.

Role/Class-type Hunter

Affiliation E.P.I.C.- Student

< Mentality >

[Personality] Ali is normally quiet and enjoys just listening and taking as much in as she can. On the surface, she seems content, if somewhat bored, and shy. It is easy to make her smile, but her laugh is rarely heard. She is more often a peacemaker than an instigator of trouble. However, no matter where she is, or what is going on around her, she is always highly alert and cautious about how she acts. She likes not having to depend on people and not having their pity or sympathy, so she hides her disability as far as she can. If directly asked, she will flat out say that she is blind, but she tries to make it as hard to figure out as possible. She is also patient and has learned to wait almost indefinitely.
In combat, she prefers remaining unseen and using surprise to her advantage.

< Ability Statistics >

Power or abilities

Improved senses: Since Ali is blind, her other senses such as smell, hearing, and touch are already enhanced. Due to her abilities, however, they can be enhanced to superhuman, animal-like levels, which allows her to get an accurate "Picture" of her environment through sounds, smells, feelings, and especially vibrations or echos which can be more revealing than what sight alone could reveal to others. When her senses are fully enhanced, she becomes more animal-like and less like a human. Her pupils turn to cat-like slits, her nails become sharp and claw-like, her canines turn to sharp fangs, and her actions are taken over by her instincts, rather than human logic.

Telepathy with animals: This allows her to communicate with animals. She can also transfer her consciousness to animals and hear, feel, and smell what they do, but her body limp and useless during this.

Instinctive fighting: When ambushing, she usually can rely on her senses to attack, but, if directly attacked, her instincts take over and allow her to attack with precision and dodge attacks she normally couldn't. This is only really effective with two attackers. If there are more, her fighting slows.

Personal Traits

She is very closed and secretive with those who do not know she is blind. Once a person knows, she becomes very open and frank with them. When she drops the facade of normalcy, she feels free to be herself.

[Biography]
(Biography)

Ali was found on the steps of an orphanage when she was a few months old with the name Ali Hill pinned on her blanket. At first, they didn't realize Ali was blind since she acted like the other babies her age. She learned to crawl, walk, and talk normally, and even before some of the others due to her abilities. They began to suspect it when she had difficulties recognizing colors, letters and numbers and rarely moved her eyes. This was later confirmed by the doctor.
Since she seemed to not be much affected by her blindness, she was usually allowed to do what she wished and ask for help if she wanted it. When it came to school, Ali learned well when taught, and quickly learned Braille. She only ever learned to write her name and the older students would sometimes tutor her. Though she had a few friends, the others at the orphanage usually pitied her and she would avoid them as much as they avoided her.
She always tried to act normally and many times, people would forget she was blind. When she turned 17, she received a letter from a school for the gifted and the orphanage immediately shipped her off without even asking if she wanted to go.

So begins...

Ali looked out the window as the owner of the orphanage, Miss Durnum, told her they had arrived. She couldn't see anything, obviously, but she figured she might as well start acting like she could. She hated how people acted different around her when they found out she was blind. She stroked the black cat in her lap and sighed. What does it look like out there, Ace? she asked, not speaking aloud and listened for the purring cats answer. He stretched, grumbled about her waking him up and peeked out the window as the car came to a stop. Humans, lots of humans, happy? Ace thought back sarcastically. Ali got out of the car, holding Ace in one arm and grabbed her bags. "Goodbye, Miss Durnum," she said with a wave. "Goodbye, Ali. Have a good time and don't forget to write.' The older woman said hurriedly as she shifted into gear and drove off.

That had been a long, awkward drive, with neither of them saying more than two sentences in an hour to each other. Ali was still vaguely annoyed that she had been sent here without ever being asked if she wanted to come. She probably would have decided to anyway, that orphanage was so boring, but it was annoying that it didn't matter. She turned and began walking into the school, trying to sense where people where, immediately bumping into people and yelling out apologies. Ace kept trying to give her directions and, more often then not, getting it wrong. Ali hated crowds. There were always too many different things to keep track of and take in. After a moment, she entered the building, only to find no relief from the crowd of people. She made her way to the auditorium where she, and Ace, assumed the opening ceremony would be held.

She stood on the wall out of the way, hearing a few people comment on her cat and ignoring them. She let her eyes wander as if she were observing the multitude of people, but really she was listening closely. It seemed like there were kids of all ages, as she heard the voices of younger kids, as well as the older ones. She noticed someone standing near her. Ace told her it was a human, well, duh, about her age and also a girl. He said she was dressed in a winter coat. Ali figured she might as well introduce her self. She would have to meet her classmates at some point.
"Hello, I'm Ali. I'm a new student. Have you been here before?"

Forte began to get bored waiting for the announcments to start. Seeing as less and less students were rolling into the large auditorium, it looked like it wouldn't be too long now. She wondered why they didn't have chairs in this room, if it was an auditorium. Didn't those ussually have built-in seats? She couldn't help but feel something was out of place.

This feeling widened when she noticed something out of the corner of her eye. What she could make out was a suit, that had legs or tendrils of some sort sticking out of it. When she focused her version on the figure, it had dissapeared. She then caught a glimpse of it a few feet in front of where it had appeared before, but as soon as she spotted it, it dissapeared again. She shot her eyes in the direction of where she thought the figure would appear next, but it seemed to have completely dissapeared this time. She looked throughout the auditorium trying to find it, finally noticing it was now standing in the back of the crowd on normal-looking feet. But something still seemed odd about the figure. It seemed male, and looked like it could have been a teacher. But it's limbs were abnormally long, and it's skin seemed paper-white. Forte almost went over to investigate the apparent man, before she heard a voice that seemed to be directed at her.

"Hello, I'm Ali. I'm a new student. Have you been here before?" The voice seemed to belong to a girl, maybe a couple of years younger than Forte. Forte smiled, thinking that she might as well make some friends while attending this school.
"Hello Ali. My name is Forte Mussolini. This is actually my first year here as well, but I think I might be a little older than some of the other 1st-years." Forte's Italian accent was noticeable. She was thankfully, very fluent in English because of the advanced courses she took. As she spoke, Forte noticed a lack of movement in Ali's eyes. 'Could she be blind?' Forte thought, before dismissing the thought. From what the letter said, aparently this school was for special cases, and everyone here seemed to be one. Forte could estimate around 250-300 students that were already in the auditorium. Ali also seemed to be one of these special cases. Forte then noticed Ali's cat. "Oh! Who's your little friend? Is it a girl or a boy?" Forte asked, reaching over to pet the cat.

Ali smiled at the woman's voice and lifted her eyes to look into Forte's now that she knew where the girl's mouth was. She detected some sort of European accent, but couldn't place it more specifically. "Nice to meet you Forte," she said, trying to say the name like she did. She was definitely from Europe, or at least was good at accents. There was a kid like that at the orphanage who wanted to be an actor and would try a different accent each day.

"Are you from Europe?" she asked, at the same time as Forte asked about her cat. "Oh," she said with a slight laugh, looking down at the cat. He bristled a little as Forte stroked him. "Hey, settle down. This is Ace, he's my boy," she said proudly, smiling brightly at him as he looked up at her with an irritated look in his eye. "He's been with me for quite a while. Got him when I was about thirteen." Her gaze went back up to Forte's face, "He takes a while to get used to people, but he is pretty nice. Usually. Oh, by the way, I like your coat. Where did you get it?" Ali's face seemed content and happy, but underneath, she was worried that Forte would figure it out. She seemed like she would make a good friend, but Ali didn't want to change that with the realization that she was blind. It always hurt when that happened. It seemed like Ace had been the only real friend she ever had.

Rio walked up to the front gate eyeing the guards cautiously. Going to school was not like her normal missions, however she did understand the eventual goal, sneak in as a student and collect as much data about the target and if possible capture it before escaping. Tripping on the last step left a fairly deep abrasion causing blood to drip down her leg in a thin line. One of the guards helped her up and asked her if she was OK, sheepishly she mumbled a quiet yes and limped a bit down the hall in the direction of the other students.

Walking into the auditorium she was greeted by the site of a few hundred students all chatting quietly getting to know each other and catching up on old times. A girl holding a cat caught her eye and she slowly inched her way over stopping a few feet away but not really saying anything. Rio smiled at the cat a bit before really noticing the pain in her leg, the bleeding had slowed, but the trickle of blood on her shin had already almost made it to the floor.

X watched as students convened, arriving and making friends, talking amongst each other. As expected, not one came to talk to him. Most students preferred to keep their distance from the strange being. X understood, but it still was a pity. X decided to take the initiative, like these other students. Maybe if he tried first, they would not be as afraid.

X made his way to a group composed of four humans, three female and one male, and a feline. The first female was composed with slightly less levels of emotion-provoking hormones, with an abnormal spike in protective hormones. The second female's genetic code read that she was blind, as well as a minor mutation and controlled tumor in the brain allowing for an abnormal power. The third female's brain activity was above average for that of a normal human, as well as a genetic mutation for the right eye being red and the left purple. The male gave the compositions of titanium-steel alloy where his arm should be. And the feline, in the human term, was "flipping shit", its sensory organs detecting that X was indeed not human, and further carried an internal radioactive danger. An odd group, collectively, but that was what X had decided it liked about humans; no matter how different one human was from another, if given the right reason, all differences were to be put aside.

'Hello,' X 'said', his semi-telepathic power protruding his voice to the students before him, the voice pleasant, though mellow and somewhat monotone. The third female, he now noted, was bleeding. 'Are you in need of healing?'

Forte noticed that Ali looked downward, when she began talking about her cat. It didn't exactly prove that she wasn't blind, by the fact that she was holding Ace in her arms. Forte then postponed her analysis of the girl, and recalled her question, which she didn't take notice of at first. She hadn't even noticed Ace's uneasiness at her touch. "Yes. I am European. In fact, I'm from Italy." Forte responded, with a smile. She then heard Ali compliment her coat, and ask where she got it. Forte always held the coat dearly, and thought of Dante. "I guess you could say my father gave it to me." She replied, her smile a little warmer than it was originally. Forte quickly switched back to her observative mood, realising that if Ali was blind, that she was playing it off very well. How else would she be able to know about her coat?

Forte looked past Ali to see another girl who also seemed to notice Ali's cat. Her eyes were mismatched, and she seemed to have blood trickling from her leg. Just as Forte was about to say something, a boy came up to the girl and asked about her leg. He seemed to have some kind of metalic claw worn over his arm. She couldn't tell if it was being worn or if it truly was his arm. Forte wasn't sure what he could do about it, since he seemed more equiped for battle, rather than tending to wounds. The boy introduced himself as Danni. Forte stepped past Ali and approached the pair. "Hello there. My name is Forte Mussolini. Is there anything I can do to help with that?" Forte said, pointing at Rio's leg-wound.

She then noticed the tall man from earlier coming their way. She now noticed that he didn't seem to have any facial features what-so-ever, or a face in general. His presence made her feel slightly alert, as her hands instinctly began reaching into the side-pockets of her bag for her expandable chakrams. Even Ali's cat seemed to be uneased by the man. 'Hello' All of sudden, a voice popped into Forte's head. "What the hell?!" Forte exclaimed in surprise, her hands retreating back to her sides. He also seemed to be aware of the other girl's injury. Forte stomped over to the man, and got in between him and the girl, with her finger pointing against his chest. "Hey you! Tell me how you're able to do that! How did you speak to me through my mind?!" Forte asked demandingly, having lost her former composure.

Ali smiled at Forte's comment. In an odd way, the statement about Forte's father gave her a slightly happy feeling, rather than one of sadness. However, From the way Forte said it, Ali quickly became curious about why she had phrased it that way. She was about to ask her about it when she heard a voice behind her. She turned quickly, remembering to look around with her eyes. She always hated having people behind her, since it always creeped her out. Elevating her senses slightly, she could tell there were two behind her, one male and one female, and the female smelled of blood. As she moved her eyes to look at where she could hear and smell them, looking from one to another as if observing what they looked like. Ali knew if she elevated her sense of smell a bit further, she would be able to tell a bit about what they were feeling, but she didn't think that was necessary. Forte also offered to help, and Ali figured she might as well say something as well to the girl.

Where is she hurt Ace, she thought, transmitting her thoughts to the animal. On her lower leg, why doesn't she just lick it clean? Humans are so unsanitary! he thought back. She remembered to look down at the female's leg, about where the wound was, and then back up at her face. "What happened?"

As she said this, her nose picked out an odd scent approaching them. She had never smelled anything like it before, but it definitely didn't smell any thing like a human. At this point, Ali did open her senses more as Ace started to freak out and shot up out of her arms to hide in her hair, his butt still sticking out and his cold nose on the nape of her neck. A chill went down her spine as her every instinct screamed that this approaching figure was dangerous. What scared her even more was that she could detect almost no emotion, or at least less than any normal human, from it. What ever was approaching them didn't seem human, and Ace's reaction only seemed to confirm it. She realized her eyes had automatically widened in fear. At least it seemed that she was getting used to pretending to be normal. She carefully hid her fear, hoping no one noticed since no one was facing her and it had lasted maybe three or four seconds. The fear quickly returned as she heard the voice in her head. It was a soft monotone that made her skin crawl. Ali was now totally sure this male, as she figured from the voice, was not a "normal human" by any standard, if he was a human at all. By now, Ace had completely puffed up with his claws out, but they weren't hurting her yet thankfully.

Ali noticed the fear and surprise elevating in the group, minus the new.. thing. Most noticeable was Forte, who immediately and loudly confronted him, getting between it and the bleeding girl. Ali was sure Forte had probably drawn a few eyes with her comment as some of the nearby conversations seemed to immediately drop off. All stood near the wall, her unseeing eyes focused on the inhuman male.

The one with differed hormones became defensive as X approached, startling her with its telepathic voice. 'Forgive me. Startling you was not my intention. Speaking with you would be easier if I had a mouth; obviously, I do not. So I must make do with what I am. A genetic mutation causes an abnormal growth in brain tissue, allowing me to broadcast thought in the stead of speech.' X was not offended. He knew she must have been frightened, if not for herself, for her human comrades. He know that she would be reaching for weapons, as it was custom for humans to do so at this point if they did not flee. The entire time, X moved not at all, not even in involuntary actions such as breathing or a heart beat, for neither existed for X. 'I mean no harm. I only wish to become better in knowing you. I believe the correct term is 'friends'?'

X did adjust to 'look' down at the female whose leg was injured. 'Perhaps I can show you.' X did not move its body at all, the cut beginning to clot and scab faster than it should have. X had used a short beam of radiation, invisible to the human eye, to speed the process of the cells. In a more serious situation, such a maneuver would be risky; however, the beam would cause no permanent damage, as the amount of radiation that was not dangerous in any way, shape, or form. Her body would discard of the ions easily. He then 'looked' to the hormone-differing female. 'I believe our relations will be much smoother if we know each others' names.' X straightened his tie, ruined in position by the female who assaulted him with a single finger to the chest. 'I am X.'

Still sensing fear and hesitation in the group, X thought out, 'Would you prefer I pertain a more human shape?'

Forte was a bit confused, by Ⓧ's explanation, as well as his apology. She still didn't like the thought of him talking to her through her head. In all reality, he hadn't really done anything wrong. Forte felt a little embarrassed for getting defensive all of a sudden. She hadn't even thought that he might not mean them any harm. Even so, she felt herself tense up once more when Ⓧ said that he was going to prove that he wanted to be their friend. By instinct, her eyes began moving in Rio's direction, and rested on her injured leg. It appeared that blood immiating from the wound was clotting up at an unusual pace.

Forte then looked back to him, as Ⓧ readjusted his tie. She thought his name was even stranger than he was in general. What kind of of name was "Ⓧ"? Nonetheless, she decided to at least humor him. She then grabbed Ali's hand and brought her to her side. "My name is Forte, and this is Ali." Forte announced, introducing herself and her new friend. She then held out her hand to shake his. When he asked if he should make himself appear more human, Forte didn't respond. It would make things feel less akward, but it would also make her feel bad to make him pretend to be something he isn't.

("Ⓧ" was the closest thing I could find for "The Operater" symbol. Thought it'd be pretty clever to use it in place of X's name. 1-liners are ok, as long as they're not frequent. I ussually decide to wait for others to post, so I can make my post, feeding off of what they give me to work with. But yh. Didn't have much to work with in this 1 either.)

--

Roady trudged upward, feeling a little too typsy to be descending a large hill such as this. Once he caught sight of his leader, Margrethe, who had already made it to the meeting point ahead of schedule, he felt relieved. He wasn't sure exactly where on the hill the meeting point was, and thought he'd spend all day looking for it. Once Roady was beside his leader, he could see why the meeting point would be here. The hill overlooked the school perfectly. He could slightly make out at least 50 guards along the perimeter of this side of the school. A few 3rd and 4th year students were also lazing around, not taking guard duty very seriously. "Hmph. Dumb brats. They're way too laidback. I could probably break in myself, with them acting like that." Roady commented, even though he was one to talk. "So boss. Any word from Little Rio yet?" Roady asked. He had gotten far too used to using that nickname.

Since no one else from the other factions, nor their own had shown up, Roady figured he must be a little early as well. So he decided to pass the time with, you guessed it. Alcohol! He grabbed his small canister that hung from his belt, and unscrewed the cap, taking in a swig of vodka. "Man. I can't get enough of this stuff. Who says theres an age limit to drink? They can shove it up their asses." He remarked, chuckling to himself.

--

"The swelling should go away in a couple of hours. You don't have to worry your pretty little head. I'll return as soon as I can, as is my duty. I am a doctor after all. Hehehehe!" Lance said in response to the screams and shouts of agony that could be heard coming from the metalic room he had just exited. He closed the heavy steel door until it got close enough for the door to suction itself the rest of the way shut. The screams were now completely shut out. "Soundproof rooms are always so convienant." He remarked while walking down the dark hallway that lead to his torture chamber. Once Lance reached the end, he walked up the small flight of stairs that lead to the main part of the building. The survivors of the War faction had been lucky enough to find an abandoned science facility after their base was taken over the year before. Lance was one of the few lucky enough to get away with his life.

"Izumi! Where are you?!" Lance called out to his friend, his prepubecent voice really showing. She was no-doubt creating some type of new explosive, or something similar. He wandered off into the upper floors of the building where she spent most of her time. He searched each room, wondering where she could be. After searching through 3 floors, he made it to the final, and highest one. He could make out loud noises coming from one of the rooms. "I think I know who that is." Lance smirked, running foward to greet Izumi. "Hey Izumi! Quit making all of that noise! Can't you see my patients are sleeping?! Oh wait. I don't have any!" Lance chuckled, having made a poor attempt at a joke.

Have not been given an answer to the state of humanity, Ⓧ decided to stay as it was. Which it preferred. A human body would have cut very much into its half-life. The hormone-enhanced one stated her name as "Forte", while introducing the blind one as "Ali". Forte had also stuck out her hand, in what Ⓧ supposed was a human way of greeting. He had seen it done on a human "television"; one human offered their hand, while the other gripped it with their own hand, and they 'shook'. Ⓧ never had the chance to try, so when it grasped Forte's hand lightly, the shake was awkward, as if Ⓧ was unsure of what to really do. Which it was.

Ⓧ felt that the situation was somewhat wrong, so he let Forte's hand go. 'I...apologize for my limited knowledge. I am not quite used to human culture and customs.'

Ali was startled out of her frightened staring when Forte grabbed her, pulled her forward, and introduced her to Ⓧ. Ace responded to the movement by painfully digging his claws into her shoulder and Ali winced before politely nodding to Ⓧ. She inwardly scolded herself for acting as poorly as Ace was. Trying to communicate with him was futile, all she could feel from him was raw fear and an instinctive urge to flee tempered by a desire to protect her. It reminded her of when she had first found him. He was not able to form words, but only feelings that Ali would have to interpret. It had taken him a couple years to consistently "human think," as he put it. At times, Ali would almost forget he wasn't human, or that she wasn't an animal. Even now the fear that was plaguing her made her feel more like and animal, but she knew she could not give in to those instincts. No matter how much she felt otherwise, she was human. She gave a soft sigh and quelled the rising panic.

To Ⓧ's question of whether to change his form she replied, "I don't think it is necessary." She looked away, a slightly embarrassed as a soft blush colored her cheek. She looked up when another joined their little group, a male. Ali forced here eyes to watch him approach as he began speaking with the other male in the group, Danni Walker. The new male introduced himself as Keita Morino. A moment later, Ali detected the one named Danni leave. She quietly began trying to coax her still frightened cat to calm down and stop clawing her as she realized he was probably drawing blood now, or at least soon would. She made quiet coaxing noises, both through thoughts and out loud as she extricated his claws and held him, looking into his eyes and commanding him to calm down out loud. When he settled, she returned him to his first relaxed position, easily holding him in one arm with her bags still slung over the other shoulder.

After she got adjusted again, shortly after Keita left, she said, "So... um... Ⓧ... What do you know about the school?"

As Roady waited for Margrethe's answer, he noticed that Aristata had also come over to him. 'Why am I suddenly the guy to sit next to?' He thought in irritation. He'd already forgotten about his little spat with her, merely because he didn't feel it was important enough to remember. "Hey Roady, I'm sorry...about my outburst, and for pushing you. I was out of line and I should've tryed to keep control of myself. Its was just the smell of the alcohol was giving me a headache and messing up my brain a bit. I feel bad about what I did. Can you forgive me and maybe we can be a bit friendlier?" She asked him. He merely grunted in response.

That was when of course Eckhart, having nothing better to do, had to chip in his two cents. Naturally opening with his signiture laugh. Although once he brought up the part about treating him to some Jack Daniels, he had caught Roady's attention. Placing a hand on Eckhart's shoulder, Roady told Eckhart how he truly felt. "Eckhart. Even if you die and I don't, I will still loot your wallet and buy it anyway. Don't worry. I'll drink your share in your honor." He said as if it was a perfectly normal thing to say. Thats what most people should expect when they try to get buddy-buddy with Roady.

Aristata, seeming to have enjoyed Eckhart's comments, asked Eckhart if he wanted to wrestle. He couldn't help but notice she did this in an unsually affectionate way, considering Eckhart was a stranger. "Careful Kitty. He may look young, but this big boy could surprise you." Roady announced patting Eckhart on the back, just as he did to him, except with more force. One might think he was actually trying to inflict pain onto him, but rough signs of affection were just Roady's style. "How old are you anyway?" He asked her, refusing to reveal Eckhart's age before learning hers. It made things more fun for him that way. While some young boy's mothers taught their sons that it was rude to ask a lady their age, Roady, having not grown up with one, felt it was fine to ask any time.

Forte was surprised to find that Ⓧ's hand felt as warm, as if he had blood running through him. Little did she know, that in a way, he did. Because of his bleach-white skin, she had expected him to feel cooler than a regular human. She then noticed that Ⓧ seemed to be shaking her hand quite akwardly. He then withdrew it, aftetwards apologizing for his lack of knowledge. "Oh. Its fine, really. Theres really no need to apologize." Forte replied. 'Wait. He hasn't shaken someone's hand before?' Forte thought. Ⓧ was a truly interesting creature. Forte had never met anyone like him. "So Ⓧ. Where exactly did you come from?" Forte asked, hoping her question was offensive in any way.

At the same time, Ali had asked how Ⓧ had found out about the school. Surely he must have came here by recieving a strange acceptance letter, like the rest of them. But that was for Ⓧ to reveal. Forte noticed that Ali's cat, Ace had been digging his claws into Ali's shoulder ever since Ⓧ came over. He must have been more shaken by his presence than the rest of them. Ali did seem to soothe Ace enough, for him to retract his claws. "Hey Ali. Are you ok? How deep did Ace dig in claws into you?" Forte asked her new friend, just slightly worried.

Ⓧ took a moment to think before answering Forte's question. 'I have come from Nellis Air Force Base.' It had not crossed its mind that the two may or may not have known about the 'nuclear accident' that happened to make this Base no longer in existence. He then focused on Ali's question. 'I heard about the E.P.I.C. Program through the 'tee-vee', and I believed it worthwhile to join for the rest of my half-life. I understand that humans prefer 'heroes', no matter what they may look like, and so if I can show the human populous that I am like a 'hero', they may accept me as a whole. Further, the possibility of eternal life is appealing to one who has little to live.'

Noting the harm that the feline had done, Ⓧ repeated the healing done to the other injured one, the small doses of radiation sealing the wounds quickly. 'I apologize...it seems your feline does not enjoy my presence. I would suppose his sensory organs are distorted due to me.' With the radioactive energy contained within Ⓧ, to have the feline not have a sensory confusion would be shocking. The radiation messed with animal and extra-delicate senses, waves of non-toxic energy like a short-distance jammer--also hence why he was hidden away by satellites.

[I would like to apologize in advance for the people I keep waiting after this post. I would also like to apologize for how short as hell, and half-assed some of these posts will be, as I shall begin packing for the trip soon, and probably have little time online afterwards, because we're probably going to be getting up soon. Believe me. No one detests one-liners more. Ok. They're not thaaat bad, but whatevs. Me still no likey them.]

Lance was a little dissapointed in his leader's response to stealing the Milele Jua, but was happy to find that her distaste for the other factions was still fresh. "Sweet! So we still get to mess with those assholes who left us to die. Bet they don't even think any of us survived." Lance snickered, before motioning to Izumi to follow him, before taking off again.

Once he reached the floor he expected her to be on, Lance attempted to kick the door open in excitement, only to recoil in pain, clutching his foot. All that was heard was a blunt, thuding noise against the door. He then proceeded to opening it like a normal person. "He-ow... Hey Gennah. Guess who we get to mess with today. Wanna visit your little sis?" He asked through a mischevious, toothy smirk, while opening the door a crack. "I bet she'll sure be happy to see you." He commented, with a thumbs up.

--

"Nah. I'll save the fighting for the E.P.I.C. brats." He responded to Aristata's wrestling challenge. After announcing that she was 19, she then countered by asking, and even guessing his age. "One less, little lady. I'm 17." Was Roady's simple reply. "Like I said, you should was out who you flirt with. Ecky's over here is 28. Big surprise right?" He chuckled, awaiting the girl's reaction.

Meanwhile, Roady couldn't help but notice that the Death faction leader taking off before the rest of them. "You're boss is kinda reckless, aint he? I think I could get along with him. " Roady commented, before smiling, and leaping off the hill. His feet skidded along the mix of grassy and earthen terrain. "Can't let him have all the fun!" He yelled out, before reaching to the bottom, and focusing a cheetah phantom-shift around his arms and legs. Roady then began running on all fours at incredible speed, with ghost-like yellow fur pertruding from his forearms and legs. Before he got close enough to be spotted, he dispelled his phantom-shift. He spotted Drake on top of a tree, not too far from where he was. He scouted the area, searching for any guards patrolling the area. He found none. Taking out ruster, he waited for his teamates to follow him, already aiming the pistol at the head of a slumbering student. "You don't even know how easy it would be to kill you right now. Dumb brat..." He commented.

Forte was a bit confused by Ⓧ's answer. "An air force? What where you do-" She began before he answered Ali's question. 'Half-life? Hero?' Forte thought in her head. Ⓧ just kept getting more and more interesting by the second. He then proceeded to meanding the minor cuts and stabs Ace had delt to Ali in his fit of fear. "It looks like you could become something pretty close to a hero with abilities like that." Forte announced.

Ali gave forte a reassuring smile, "Yeah, no problem." Forte smelled worried, a smell Ali knew well. She felt it was odd that Forte would feel worried for her this early, and over something so small. She was completely confused by Ⓧ's comments. Nellis Air Force Base? ? Half-life? Possibility of eternal life? It was like he was talking in riddles. At least it seemed his intentions were okay, but she could not tell for sure, and it bothered her.

Suddenly, she felt her senses go wacko and suddenly decrease. It felt like she was truly blind, with no way to see her surroundings at all. It took all her willpower not to freak out and run screaming, probably ending up running into a wall or a person. Instead she mere stumbled back into the wall and stood against it. She soon noticed both that the little pinpricks from Ace's claws no longer hurt, and that her senses were slowly returning to normal. However, Ace was also panicking again, and was wriggling to get out of her grasp. Calm yourself, I don't want to lose you here, she thought forcefully. As she took another long breath, she was able to calm down herself.

She wondered what it was about him that made her, and Ace, want to run. What about him caused their sensory organs to distort. The more Ali was around Ⓧ, the less she knew what to think of him and if she could like him. It seemed that they just wouldn't mix.

After a moment, her sense almost fully returning, she almost jumped when Ⓧ 'said' that something wasn't right. She looked around with her eyes while trying to take all possible sounds and smells in. Everything seemed normal in the room. Perhaps he meant outside? Ali knew that with all the loudness and people in the room at this point, she would not be able to make out anything outside. Just another reason to hate crowds. She quickly communicated with Ace. Go see if there is anything going on outside, okay? Don't be seen and tell me the second you see anything. He responded with a single word, Gladly. Ali was happy to hear that instead of just an emotion from him. He jumped out of her arms and scurried off, deftly weaving through the crowd and out the door.

Lance could tell the news he brought had pleased Gennah. The smile placed upon her lips proved it. "What does Francis have in mind?" Gennah asked him. Afterwards Izumi commented on his little entrance, and he blushed a little in embarrassment. "Hey, hey. I got straight A's back in school. I'm far from a dummy." He replied solemnly. Before Lance had a chance to answer Gennah's question, Izumi put on her usual grin and answered for him. "She said that we should head out quickly, but we had to get you! Hehe, its going to be so fun trying out my new explosives and watching them fly in the sky- haha sorry hehe, anyways~ We're supposed to grab the rest of the members and meet up with the leader! Though she didnt like the idea of infiltrating the school, she didnt mind joining in on the fun~!" Lance couldn't have said it better himself. Well... Maybe a little better. Lance snickered a little as Izumi began rambling about her daydreams of making people explode, and calamity.

Lance was glad to see that Gennah was just as excited about this operation, or merrymaking for lack of a better term, as he and Izumi were. "Francisca said that trying to obtain the Milele Jua with our current power would be too risky. But rather, this would be a way to make our mark, and let the other factions know we're still kicking and after their asses." Lance then put on a creepy smirk that slightly resembled Izumi's. "Torture the other Apocalypse members. Hehehe. Doesn't sound like a bad idea. I've got a certain member in mind who I really want to carve up." Lance chuckled madly, continuing before he was able to compose himself.

"But yes... This overall is an infiltration mission. I'm guessing you being the best at this sort of thing, and me being useless in a fight will cover that role. I think Izumi and the others will be giving Apocalypse hell in the mean time." Lance finally announced, returning to his perky, energetic attitude. I think the only person left to find would be Koichi. I actually forgot where he spends his time at. Do you know, Izumi?" Lance asked, turning to her.

Forte nodded in acknowledgement of Ⓧ's thank you. All of a sudden a young man came up to the trio and began poking Ⓧ in the face. He aparently had also taken interest in Ⓧ's telepathic abilities. "Envy..." Forte subconsiously said to herself as Shin began asking how he could get his mouth removed. Forte walked up to him and grabbed his arm to make him stop poking Ⓧ. "Hey. What do you think you're doing. Thats kind of rude, you know." Forte stated, before proceeding to poke Shin hard in his face. "Lets see how you like it." Forte smiled, slightly enjoying messing with Shin.

Forte then noticed that Ⓧ had resprouted his tendrils, quickly gathering the attention of several other students. Forte then came to the assumption that Shin had pissed Ⓧ off. She waited to see if Ⓧ would make a move, before she began defending Shin. Ⓧ seemed to be troubled by something, but Shin seemed to be on the bottom of his list.

At the same time, Ali seemed to be troubled by something as well. Forte was still slightly worried about her, even though she said that she was fine. 'Could it be Ⓧ?' She wondered. After she finished the thought, Ⓧ announced that something wasn't right. Forte then noticed Ace jumping out of Ali's arms and going out the auditorium entrance. She thought it was strange for Ali to allow him to do so. Maybe Ali told him to, but Forte didn't hear her say a thing. Even if she did, it wasn't as if Ace could understand her. Right? "Hey Ⓧ. What do you mean by, something's not right?" Forte asked, as she started becoming very cautious.

Roady growled in annoyance and Drake began giving out orders, as if he was the big leader. "I don't need you to tell me my role in this operation, bastard." He replied arrogantly through his earpiece, before a band of guards coming out to possibly patrol, began heading his way. "Heh. This is ussually the time Ma-" Roady began his sentence before the guards began dropping like flies. "Yup. Routine gets really boring sometimes." The students who hadn't been paying attention, or were sleeping ,were now fully alert. Roady quickly aimed for the leg of the once sleeping student from earlier. He seemed to be a swordsman. It would be annoying to engage in a close-range battle from the get-go. "Should have just stayed asleep like nothings going on, kid." He said, unleashing a few rounds that incapacitated the student.

Roady then jumped from his hiding spot and began gunning down the few regular guards who had managed to survive Margrethe's earlier attack. Little did he know that a female student had snuck up behind him with dual daggers. "Sneaky little bitch, huh?" Roady commented before aiming Ruster against the blade of the dagger she had thrust at him and pulled the trigger. The force of the bullet caused her to lose her hold of the dagger and left her with only 1 weapon. She grimaced, having had her assassination attempt failed. Roady then rushed at her, as she held her remaining dagger in a defensive stance. Roady was too fast for her. He quickly drew Bianca, and aimed it at the bottom of the girl's chin, while holding Ruster against her other blade, his arms now in a cross-like state. "Lets see. I can only fire one of these pistols without blowing my arm off. Can you remember which one I was using earlier?" Roady asked the girl, who looked at him with terrified eyes.

Suddenly, a sword came at Roady's back, which he barely evaded. It was the student from earlier, who he had shot in the leg. He appeared to be steadying himself on one leg. The boy was obviously in no condition to fight, at least not properly. "This is what happens when I try to be generous and let you brats live." Roady said shaking his head and sighing. As he did this, the student slashed out at him with all of his might. Roady quickly blocked it with Bianca and aimed Ruster at the boy's stomach. "I commend you for challenging me in your condition, but you should really..." Roady began before surging foward and hitting the boy's hand with his pistol to make him drop his weapon, then hit him hard in the gut to make him lose conciousness. "know your limits, brat!" He finished his sentence from earlier, as the boy held onto Roady's arm, trying to maintain his consiousness. "You gotta strong will, but you should just learn to give up. I gave you 2 chances, but I've decided end your suffering here." Roady said aiming Ruster at the boy's head and pulling the trigger before he even had time to react.

The girl from earlier had recovered and aimed to strike Roady in his head. He sidesteped, not expecting her to bring the dagger back quickly to stab him in the face. He was surprised, and jerked his head to the side, escaping the attack with a mere scratch to the cheek. 'Heh. Even if they are kids, they're still freaks just like me. Never know what kind of surprises they can throw at ya.' He thought before she made an attempt to slit his throat. He threw Ruster in the air, and caught her arm with his free hand, right before she could reach his neck. He then kicked her foward, and aimed Bianca at her chest. He then placed his free hand on the arm wielding Bianca, to support it. He then pulled the trigger, sending out a power bullet that went right through the girl's chest, leaving a small hole. The girl died instantly, to Roady's relief. However, a few trickles of her blood at splashed onto his face, and clothes, which he didn't really mind. The recoil sent Roady's arm backward, with a powerful jerk. This was why he had to support it with his other arm.

Ruster then fell to the ground beside him. He picked up the pistol checking the barrel. "Yup. Out of ammo. Shit. I left my spare bullet cartridges at home." Roady said to himself, looking up to realise that guards had surrounded him from all sides. "Ah. A welcome party just for me? You shouldn't have. But I do see one problem with here." Roady joked, putting Ruster and Bianca back into their holsters. "Theres no alcohol." He smirked, as orange and black ghostly images began covering his arms and legs. Soon the black shapes began to form into stripes. "Hey. You guys ever take on a siberian tiger before?" He asked, now on all fours. One of the guards had shot at him while, he was talking. He dodged it, while at the same time leaping. He had seemed to dissapear. The guards all looked around, frantically trying to find him. Soon their eyes were drawn, to where Roady was. He was holding the guard who had shot at him, and another next to him up in the air, with his hands, or rather claws embedded in their backs. "Of course not. You don't take on a Siberian tiger. You run like hell, idiots." He laughed, before proceeding to finish off the rest of the guards. He managed to kill about 8 more, before a headache started attacking his brain. He immideatly dropped his phantomshift before the headache worsened.

'Damn. I forgot that shift takes more concentration than the others.' He thought, holding his head in pain. There were now 4 guards who were all aiming weapons at him. "I was hoping to finish you all off before this." Roady said, reaching for Bianca. They soon began shooting at him, one bullet grazing his leg. He managed to avoid a fatal injury. He continued running in a circular motion, as they continued to fire at him. Once the guards were perfectly alligned, he raised Bianca, once again supporting his gun-wielding arm. Pulling the trigger, the recoil was too much for him with his headache also playing a role. He flew backward a few feet, as the bullet went through all four guards. All of them died except for one who had his arm blown off. He screamed in pain for a little while before he lost too much blood and finally died. "Just another day on the job." Roady commented to himself, pulling out his alcohol canister and taking another swig of vodka.

Roady frowned as he heard a familiar voice ruining his drinking break. "Roady do you think you could've been any more noticeable?" He heard Aristata ask before taking in the air. Roady didn't think this was strange, as it was a natural habit of people who possessed abilities like his and her's. It didn't occur as often with Roady, as his abilities are more physical than sense related. "Well seeing as my role is to be a distraction, I figured it was my job to get noticed. I didn't think I'd have to take on half of the western side of the building though." He answered. He could then tell that something felt different about the atmosphere she gave off for a few seconds. He looked back to see that hers eyes had turned black and red. She then reached to get some of the blood and began inhaling it. 'How long exactly has she been harboring these abilities? I only started doing crap like that within the 1st 4 months that they started appearing.' He thought to himself, feeling the headache still sturring around. "Roady aren't you gonna hide your kills, I mean the guards? Ya know to stay undetected still..." Aristata asked Roady irritatingly. "Why bother? Its not like more guards aren't going to start coming out anyway. I'd much rather prepare for the 2nd wave. You should do the same." Roady replied holding up his canister for her to see, implying that, that was his way of preparing.

He then heard another familiar voice ring in his ears, asking if he was ok. He was already aware of her presence before she did however. "Yeah. Just a couple of scratches here and there. Nothing to worry about." Roady announced, regretfully standing up to prove it. "Seeing as I can only use Bianca at the moment, and can't utilize my therian powers for a while, I'm not exactly sure how good I'll be in round 2." He stated, reaching down to return Ruster to it's holster, and then to pick up Bianca. "I'll be on the sidelines if you need me." Roady said, looking at his leader Margrethe with an annoyingly laidback expression.

Suddenly a sharp noise pierced Roady's ears. He had to hold them in pain. Being a hunter, his senses were still slightly better than the average human's, although not as much as most. "Damn. Who knew E.P.I.C. had such a monster in their control. Ugly bastard..." Roady commented looking up at Ⓧ's horrific transformation. He was still holding his ears, with the canister and Bianca still in his hands.

"Oi cutie over there, you two girls. Fancy telling me what your up too, or maybe you would prefere your faces burned? I dont take too kindly to lies, so name your place here quickly or I'll shoot anyway." Roady heard the voice of another girl, not so familiar this time. He automatically aimed Bianca in her direction, almost pulling the trigger right away. He stopped himself in time to remember what would happen if he fired Bianca without properly preparing himself. It seemed to be a girl from the school. Strangly enough she was wielding a bazooka over her shoulder with ease. 'Theres no way she should be able to wield a bazooka that size unless she's one of those...' Roady thought to himself. Roady's reply to her introduction was the same as you'd expect. "Who said you could call me cutie, gorilla girl. What jungle were you born in? I don't have to answer to someone who only speaks ape." He replied refering to her crazy strength, with the same nonchalant expression. Roady was always good at remaining calm in a situation, no matter how serious it is. Even if there was an oversized bazooka pointed at him, so what?

Lance figured Izumi would know, since she spent her time around the armory levels. He thought that Koichi might as well. Lance looked back to Gennah to ask if she knew where Koichi spent most of his time, before Izumi elbowed him. "Found him!" He turned to find her turning toward someone, to reveal Koichi, who was asking if anyone needed him for something. "Ah, Koichi! How long have you been standing there? Did you hear me explain our plan to Gennah, or do you need me to say it again? Either way, it'd save more time to at least give you the basic gist of the situation. Fransica and the rest of us are going go mess with the Apocalypse factions who are invading E.P.I.C. at the moment. We need to act fast if we're going to make it before the fun is over, so you should start packing up what you want to bring." Lance said, not waiting for Koichi's answer.

"I've already got what I need." He said, raising his suitcase, and patting it. "Hey Izumi. Do you have everything you need? If so, we should get the car ready. I don't know how to drive, so you'll have to do it." Lance told her. "I guess I should tell Fransica that we've all been briefed on the mission. See you guys outside." Lance said, before running off to Fransica's room once again. He was already breathing a little heavily. He never had much reason to run this much in a while. The last he could remember was when he was running for his life from E.P.I.C. He was one of the first to fully accept Fransica as their new leader, while some of the others might have been a little more resistant. Finally making it to Fransica's room, he knocked this time instead of opening the door. "We're all set Fransica. We're all going to meet outside, and then roll out to the school." Lance stated, before rushing off once more to the meeting point.

(Uuuuuuugh. Sorry for the immense repetition in Lance's posts. Its really hard to think of new crap when I'm just making him run around, explaining the mission, then running off again with each post. And yes. You may modify the badass vehicle the War faction will be cruising around in, Dreamer. xD)

Forte began hearing faint bullet noises most likely coming from outside. Even with everyone in the auditorium talking, she could easily distinguish them, because of the many encounters shes had with bullets. She became even more cautious as Ⓧ began growing his extensions out even longer, and climbing up the wall like a spider. She had to admit that it was incredibly freaky. Ⓧ exited the building through a door that led outside. Forte haden't noticed it until now. Ⓧ continued to crawl up the wall, until he reached the highest point in the school, which was ironically at the top of the glass dome which housed the auditorium roof. Almost all of the students in the auditorium were either pointing, freaking out, or staring in wonder at him at this time. Those who hadn't been aware of his presence before, sure were now.

Forte could barely make out that Ⓧ had formed a mouth on his empty face. It didn't appear anywhere close to a human mouth. This was confirmed when Ⓧ let out a monsterious wail that vibrated the entire building. "What in hell is he doing?!" She said aloud, while comprehending if this was the same, polite creature she had been talking to only a minute ago. Forte then remembered the gunshot sounds she made out earlier. 'Could he be reacting to those?' Forte thought.

She then, let go of Shin's arm and once again reached into her bag for her expandable chakrams. What she pulled out were a pair of small, metal spheres, that had a trigger-like handle in between the circular outline, with space in between for an average-sized hand to fit through. She pulled the trigger for both of the chakrams once, to make them expand, and once again to make the blades jut out. "Hey Ali. I need you to follow me, ok?" Forte asked, completely forgetting the possibility that Ali might be blind. Shen turned to Shin. "You can come too if you want." She told him, not truly caring if Shin came along or not. Forte then began rushing towards the door that Ⓧ had left through.

Once outside, she looked around noticing a group of four people, 3 female, 1 male. Around them was a mass of blood and corpses. The females for the most part seemed mostly untouched by it, while the male was practically soaked. Forte decided to keep her distance for now. One of the females didn't seem to fit in with the rest, as she was holding a weapon towards them. Forte decided to wait, and see what happens before she acts. At the same time, she kept a warry eye on Ⓧ, not knowing what he could do next.

Ⓧ moved away and, if Ali was detecting him right, climed up a wall. Something seemed different about him as well, something more to him, but Ali couldn't tell much more than that without elevating her senses more. The buzz in the auditorium increased as many of the students noticed him climbing and saw him on the roof. Suddenly, he let out a terrible screech and Ali covered her ears with her hands. With her senses hightened as they were, it was terribly painful. She tried to lower them, but it was mostly too late and he had stopped screeching. Her eyes were focused on the roof where Ⓧ stood.

She heard what Forte said, but made no reply. When Forte started digging around in her bag, Ali's attention went to her. She took something out, but Ali had no guess as to what it was. Just then, Ace came exitedly bounding through the crowd and jumped into Ali's arms. The object in Forte's hand made a metalic sound as it slid open and Ali guessed it was some sort of weapon.

Reluctantly, Ali again increased her senses, her ears still slightly ringing as Forte asked her to follow. She lowered Ace to the ground and began jogging after the girl while digging in her bag. She quickly found the long knife in its special belt in the bottom of her back and snapped the belt around her with a click. She bumped into a couple of people who were still gawking at Ⓧ, but paid them little attention. She could barey keep track of Forte in the crowd by her scent and the sound of her feet on the floor.

The whole time, Ace was following closely and telling her about what he had seen, the people, two female and one male, surrounded by the bodies of the guards. He also thought there were more, but he had hurried back before checking when "that thing yowled," as he said. They quickly reached the door and went through, just catching it as it closed and coming to a stop just behind Forte. Ali could sense what was happening and it was just as Ace had said, except now there was another female with a giant weapon, of explosive propperties by the smell, maybe a bazooka, that was pointed at the other three who were indeed surrounded by bodies and blood.

Roady could tell that Aristata was just as cautious of the new girl as he was. She had also pulled out a weapon as soon as she arrived. Except, instead of making an attempt to insult her, she seemed to take her more seriously, asking for her purpose for being here in response. Aristata then began calling on Drake for backup. Roady shook his head. "I wouldn't count on your boss right now, girly. Hes already heading inside the school with Skye. If we're getting backup, it'll be from our little friends we left on the hill." Roady told her, unintentionally giving away the location of the other faction members.

As he said this, Margrethe had knocked Bianca out of Roady's hand. "Hey Boss. What was that for?" Roady asked her, a little pieved that she had disarmed him.
"Both of you, stop acting on the spur of the moment and think. We can't afford to have yet another bloody massacre. Especially not you Roady. Do you honestly think that firing Bianca this soon will get you anywhere?" She announced. Roady picked Bianca up, growling a little in irritation. "Calm down Boss. Its not like I was gonna shoot. Its called intimidation Boss. Intimidation." He replied, repeating "intimidation" for emphasis. He made sure to avert his eyes while saying this, as he could tell Margrethe was most likely giving him and Aristata a death glare. He looked back at her as she began to walk towards the gorilla girl. 'Oho. We getting a catfight?' Roady thought, as Margrethe stepped up to the girl rather intimidatingly. "Darling, I don't take kindly to others ordering me around. Nor do I appreciate having a bazooka aimed at my face. Why don't you put it down for now and I'll explain a few things to you." Margrethe demanded. Roady was a little interested in how this might play out. He could already make out several lifeforms appearing from the building, including the loud, screechy thing from earlier. But he knew if they were only going up against this single girl, the three of them should make it out ok. Although she seemed fairly old, he knew that age isn't necissarily involved with seniority in this school. Seeing as she couldn't tell who they were, Roady figured she was a first year. Most likely less experienced than the two students he had just killed. But you never know.

Roady then noticed that the girl had begun speaking to him once again. "Firstly, sweet cheeks. Thanks for the compliment. I do try my best. But honestly, I would rather be a gorilla right now than the drowned rabbit you appear to be. So I think I can call you what I want, expecially with this. So take a chill, cutie." This really got to Roady. "Hey Boss. Can I kill this damn gorilla girl already? Shes making my headache worse." Roady asked, just about ready to blow this girl's head off, before she continued, this time addressing Aristata, and then Margrethe. He didn't really care how he spoke to her or Margrethe, but he definately wasn't going to put up with her mocking him.

"So fancy telling me why my new school's security are dead because this is turning out to be one interesting first day." The girl asked, pulling on a latch to prepare her bazooka. 'Shit. Things won't go well if she fires that.' Roady thought. He quickly got up and rushed foward, making the most use of his speed. Once he reached the girl, he stuck Bianca against the bottom of her chin, while holding the arm she was holding the bazooka in to the side. "Lets not get too hasty, gorilla girl. You wanna know why all these guys are dead, right? Well the answer is... I killed them." Roady paused for a little dramatic effect. He was now face-to-face with Olivia, attempting once again to intimidate her. "I think you know, with the three of us going up against just you, its pretty obvious who'll win." He threatened.

Lance rushed over to the meeting spot, and saw that Izumi had already started the car. Not only that, but Gennah had beaten him here. "O-ho no! I call shot gun, Gennah!" He yelled out childishly, before running up to the vehicle and opening the door. He quickly pulled himself in, and plopped himself down onto the passenger seat. "Yeah! Roadtrip!" Lance yelled out, even though the drive would at most take about 20 minutes. With Izumi driving, they might make it in 8.

"Even if I'm only infiltrating as a student, I still have to keep myself pumped." Lance announced, pulling out his I-pod and rolling out the earbuds. "These damn things always find a way to get tangled up." Lance complained, getting frusterated with the complicated knot the earbuds had developed while inside his pocket. Once the battle of Knotsburg was over, Lance put one of the earbuds in his right ear, while leaving the left one open in case someone was talking to him. He then flipped through several songs he'd already heard a million times, until he reached a particular one. "Dirty Minds" by Here come the mummies. 'Hehehe. This song always gets me really excited. I can't wait to torture you, Catherine.' Lance thought to himself, subconsiously smirking devilishly.

Rio stood back, a little shy at introducing herself when the girl on the left, who she though she overheard was named Forte, asked if she needed any help for her leg. Looking down, Rio realized that it looked a lot worse than it actually was.
"No, I'm fine. Thanks thou..."
her words were cut off by another voice, this time in her head asking if she needed any healing. A figure that looked like the definition of vague approached. It was quite intimidating at first to not be able to recognise any particular facial features but the training Rio had gone through quickly brought her back to her senses. The girl holding the cat, who had been refered to as Ali asked her what happened and pointed to her leg. Forte had already started moving to confront the new figure in what was obviously a defensive state of mind but quickly rethought aggressive action and backed down.

After everyone had calmed down, Rio remembered that she was supposed to report back to the leader as soon as she had infiltrated the operation.
"I just fell on the stairs on the way in, I'll be ok. but I have to go make a quick phone call, will you fill me in if i miss anything?
Reaching into her pocket, she grabbed her phone and started to walk back out to the hall. Finding a quiet corner where no students were walking around, she started going through all the procedures to get through the extra security she had added to her phone to prevent hackers from getting data. the process took about 3 minutes. Scrolling through her contacts, she selected "Leader" and hit Call.

"Infiltration successful, entrance ceremony beginning soon, will attempt to hack the server when oppertunaty presents itself. Awaiting additional Orders."
