She thought he was somewhat attractive, but she had a feeling that Kendra liked him, so she decided to try her best to avoid and ignore him.
Kyle laughed as he watched the two acting like normal. "You haven't changed have you." He said with a smile then turned his attention to Zoe. "Zoe, nice, I like your hair, you look like a fun one." He said with a small chuckle and turned his attention to the waiter as he arrived and ordered a chicken breast with lemon drizzle. He didn't notice Summer's quick glance in his direction.

She snuck another quick glance at Kyle, then she looked away, scolding herself mentally for looking at him again. She thought maybe if she ignored him and avoided him, her liking for him would dissapear.
Kendra knew she'd never see Tyler again, and Tristen needed a dad. Or at least, a man in her life constantly. Kyle was perfect. The perfect candidate.

She mumbled, "I got a text from someone, I need to go."
She stood up quickly, and she left the booth, heading out of the restaurant. She began walking down the sidewalk, making a bee-line for the apartment building.
Kyle looked at Kendra confused then nodded. "Sure." As he got up so did Summer and she hurried out of the Cafe, he looked at Kendra as they made their way to the front. "Did I do something to upset her?" He asked worriedly.

Kendra's blonde hair was a little messy, and she turned to fix it in the reflection off the cafe's glass windows, while waiting for Kyle to answer her.
Kyle's eyes widened in surprise and he quickly shook his head. "No, I haven't touched anything for over a year now. Not even going to have a drink with the guys." He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair, making it spike up slightly. "I've just been... stressed out lately, that's all."

Kyle's eyes widened nervously as she said the part about Tyler then he looked at her confused. "She what? Are you sure?" He hadn't noticed, then again, he only ever really noticed Kendra. "I wouldn't say I don't like her, she seems like a nice girl but I just met her."
"Why does life have to be so difficult?" she grumbled to herself, face-palming herself exasperatedly.
She knows she shouldn't be getting so frustrated over something as dumb as this, but it seems nothing has been going her way since her mother died. The thought brings tears to her eyes, and she lets them slip from her eyes. She's had her emotions bottled up for too long, and she desperately needed to get rid of those emotions.
Kyle was surprised when he heard what Kendra had to say about Summer's feelings for him, then he looked away shamefully and was silent a moment before finally saying. "Yes..." He looked up at her. "I didn't want to tell you... you'll only get hurt if you know..."
Kyle looked at her, clear pain in his eyes and he sighed, knowing there was no point in arguing about it. "He's in your apartment building, same floor I think... with his fiance..."
"I love you." She thought, but didn't dare want to say it. Last time Kendra did that, she ended up pregnant with the guy ditching her. She just enjoyed the hug.
Kyle was surprised and relieved that she didn't hate him for keeping something so important from her, he hugged her back and whispered. "It's fine... I'm sorry I had to hide it and even disappear..." He stayed like that for a while, not wanting to let her out of his arms but he reached the point where he knew holding her any longer would cause for some concern. He slowly unwrapped his arms from around her and said. "Let's get back inside, I'm sure our food is here by now." As they walked back inside he said. "By the way, if you wouldn't mind texting Summer and telling her I'm sorry if I did anything to upset her, that would be great." He thought for a moment. "Oh, and if she wants to come back but doesn't want to listen to me I can shut up if she wants." He chuckled softly.
She sighed deeply at the thought. She really was beginning to think she was overly dramatic, maybe that's why she didn't have many friends, or maybe it was just the fact that she's boring, and she's not interesting enough.
Kendra nodded to Kyle, and after she sat down, and ruffled Tristen's hair, asking. "What'd you get us to eat, baby?" Kendra pulled out her old flip phone, and texted Summer, her neighbor.
"Hey honey, you alright? Kyle really wants you to come back. He even said he'll shut up, if it makes you feel better. If not, that's cool too. Hope you're okay,
Kendra"
After sending the text, Kendra set her phone on the table, and put on that smile she wore so often.

Summer sent the text, picking up her purse, and she walked out the door. 'I can't believe I'm going back.' she thought to herself.
She walked down the sidewalk, trying to hurry to the cafe, not wanting to be late. She sighed softly, knowing it will be awkward. There's always some sort of awkward tension when she is around it seems.
Soon, she arrived to the cafe. She took in a deep breath, and she opened the door, walking into the cafe, and she made her way towards the booth, her face was unusually expressionless, and she stayed silent as she took her seat.
Kyle looked up as he heard footsteps coming their way and stopped his part in the conversation to wave to her. "Hey Summer, I'm sorry if I upset you somehow. Are you ok?"
