Introduction
In a world where the concept of love rests entirely in the hands of Officials;
where each teenager, upon his or her seventeenth birthday, receives a Match...
Will there ever be hope for true love?
In the Society - what has become of the United States we know today - the Officals decide everything: Who you love, where you work, and even when you die. When individuals turn seventeen, a banquet is held in honor of them at the center of the city square, where they will get a chance to meet and converse with the other initiates of the same year. It is during then that he or she gets their Match - the person whom they will be spending the rest of their lives with, regardless of any feelings towards the Match or any other individual. These Matches are based on who is the most optimal for you in order to have healthy, perfect children and to live a healthy, perfect life. The only catch? Once a Match is made, it is sealed for life, and there are no exceptions. The Society has harsh punishments for anyone bold enough to disobey its orders, and by refusing a Match, the consequence could be death.
And so, fourteen young people find their lives spinning out control, both desperate for change, yet terrified of the results. Will you accept your Match, and follow the mold of the world you are living in? Or does Fate and Love have some other plans for you?
Well, my dear Reader, that is entirely up to you to decide.
You will be playing the role of one of the fourteen teenagers destined to be Matched. The role-play will begin a few days prior to the Matching and the banquet, and will take place in a luxurious hotel where the initiates first meet (found at the center of the image below). Seven of you will be male; the other seven will be female.
The ultimate crux of the role-play is whether the teenagers decide to rebel against this tradition of the Matching (with the potential dire punishments in mind); and whether they will end up falling in love with their Matches, who are presumably not the partner they were looking for. I am leaving these two questions up for you as players to decide.
Officials: The governing body of the Society, these men rule their people with an iron fist. Though they claim to be 'benevolent' and 'welfare-oriented,' the Officials nonetheless suppress many of the citizens' freedoms, such as the liberty to love as they choose.
Choosing Your Match: Choosing your character's Match will be done by me as the GM. Once all fourteen characters have been submitted, you will be given 48 hours to message me with your desired Match. I will do my best to accommodate your wishes, but please give me a little slack. It's not easy juggling fourteen different wishes.

Collectibles
By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.
Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.
Mobs
Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!
