Zodiac Animal: The Cat
Hair Color: Dark Brown
Eye Color: Red
Skin Tone: Pale
Height: 5’5

Physical Description: Describing Kiyoko’s hair is a bit difficult. It appears to be a dark brown color, almost black if it were a shade darker. There are shades of auburn running through her hair, giving it a weird glow. She doesn’t mind it too much and usually doesn’t do much with it. It is relatively long, falling to her lower thighs and is thick. Despite its thickness, it is really willowy. It is wispy and tends to just fall into a straight, flat board style. Because of its thickness, she doesn’t style it often as it gets too heavy to pile on top of her head. She’ll leave it down or occasionally pull it into a ponytail. Her bangs are cut so that they always remain loose, falling into her eyes and brushing against the tip of her nose. Some parts of her bangs are cut so that they fall to the tip of her chin. When she does style it, it’s usually piled into a loose bun with strands curled around her face. Her bangs will be swept to the side of her face and pinned with a music note-styled pin. She isn’t exactly tall, standing roughly five feet five inches tall and is a bit on the lighter side and appears rather fragile because of her petite frame.
She doesn’t have a curvaceous body and wouldn’t exactly be voluptuous. She is slim, with hardly any muscle mass to her bones and weighs only one hundred and fifteen pounds. She doesn’t weigh much and appears to have a somewhat fragile appearance. Her eyes are a bit unique. While appearing dark brown in color, they are in fact a dark red. The proper word would be crimson. She always has a placid look in her eyes, never showing a lot of emotion. She isn’t deprived of emotions, however; due to her being the cat, she doesn’t know how to properly display them. Despite the passive look in her eyes, her eyes are quite large and shaped rather nicely, giving them a full expressive appearance. Her eyebrows aren’t exactly shapely, being a rather straight line and are slightly thick. This, however, gives her a more youthful appearance along with bringing out her skin tone. The color of her skin is rather dull and bland. She doesn’t get much sun and burns fairly easily if left out for too long. This is due to being confined. It isn’t a sickly pale, but just a shade unnatural.
Potential Interest: No one at the moment. One of the other Sohma members eventually.
Likes:
+ Cooking: She loves to cook. It is something that she has learned how to do on her own and is proud of it. Although she doesn’t cook for anyone, she thinks herself a great cook (and in reality she is). Most of her dishes contain remnants of fish and things like that and should someone want an interesting sashimi, she can make one to their exact tastes. Although she has had a moment where she over-seasoned something.
+ Reading: Kiyoko loves to read. She will usually send hours searching for the perfect book and read it in her spare time. She likes to submerge herself into another world and finds it comforting, especially if it’s a horror suspense novel. This was a way to pass the time in her confinement. It’s more of a habit now to pick up a book and read it.
+ Drawing: Much like her reading, Kiyoko loves to draw and is a decent artist. She tends to draw things that are related to nature and things like that with buildings being her favorite. Another thing is that she loves to draw eyes. They are expressive to her and always gets lost when she is captivated by a particular set of eyes. She tends to not look people in the eye because they usually think she is staring at them.
Dislikes:
- Smoke: She doesn’t like smoke. From anything. Well, besides her cooking. For some odd reason it bothers her nose. Whether it’s because she has an acute sense of smell or not is something she has yet to figure out. Also, she doesn’t like cigarette smoke. She will avoid it like the plague and try to distance herself as far as possible to rid herself of the pungent smell.
- Spicy Things: One thing she will stay away from when cooking, or eating, is anything spicy. She cannot deal with spicy things because she has a very sensitive tongue. She’ll go into fits of coughs if she ever eats anything too spicy and tends to stay away from things like that. Do not even suggest eating anything spicy around her or she’ll walk away without a word.
- Confinement: Growing up most of her life confined, like the previous cat, she doesn’t like to be confined. She enjoys her newfound freedom and is willing to risk everything so that it stays that way. Because of her confinement, she doesn’t like tight places or things closed off. She hyperventilates and goes into a type of shock.
Personality: Kiyoko is a bit of a unique personality. She is a bit anti-social, not knowing how to speak to people properly and often comes off aggressive and hostile. She doesn’t mean to be, but after years of being confined, she has a hard time…adjusting. She tries her hardest in making friends, although most of the time she ends up insulting someone. The only person she every shows a restraint towards is the head of the family. One slip of the tongue could cause her to be confined again and it is something that she is deathly afraid of. Despite her loner tendencies, Kiyoko is a hard-worker. She tries to be socially acceptable, however; sometimes it back fires on her and she loses her temper.
History: Like all Sohma’s, Kiyoko was born into the esteemed Sohma family. Her parents were not one of the zodiac carriers, however; when she was born, they immediately found out their daughter was cursed. At first, they tried to ignore the fact that their only child was a monster. This rubbed off on Kiyoko as she got older. She often wondered why her parents always had a disappointed look in their eyes and always tried to be a good daughter. When the head of the family found out about her curse, he immediately had her confined to where the other cat used to dwell. She cried, begged her parents to keep her, but all they did was turn their heads in disgust. For a few years, she lived in solitary confinement with the only interactions being with the maids who brought her meals. She would have quick and short conversations with them before they hurried away to a new task. This went on for the first three years of confinement. She was slowly losing her grip on society and the confinement did nothing to prepare her for the outside world. When she turned fifteen, the head of the family finally allowed her to leave. The reason is yet unknown, and Kiyoko, although bitter, was grateful towards him.
The first thing she did after she left confinement was enroll in the local school. She had been homeschooled by the tutors on the Sohma estate, and she wanted to know what a real classroom felt like. Unknowingly, she enrolled in the same school as her esteemed rival: Daisuke Sohma, the rat. Although natural enemies, Kiyoko never found an urge to best him. She was focused on the rest of her life free of confinement and wanted to spend every second she could enjoying it. Her first day of school wasn’t as grand as she thought it would be. The moment she stepped into the building, her defenses shot up and she became a bit hostile towards everyone. She didn’t know how to act around them and often made enemies amongst her classmates. She avoided the male population for most of her school year, not wanting to expose her curse and spent most of her year as a loner. That was until she met Sakuya Kenji and Yagiri Mikoto. Kenji and Mikoto were the only ones to chip off the ice from her defenses and were able to befriend Kiyoko. The head of the family does not know of them, nor they of her curse. She wants to keep it that way since she fears that the head will have their memories erased and have her locked up again. She has recently begun to look for a way to break the curse amongst her family and so far has failed. She is trying to stay under the head’s radar, but how long will that last?
