Anne Pitcher

"Isn't it weird that Aquarius is the Water-bearer, but considered an air sign?"

a character in “Guardians of the Zodiac”, originally authored by Ivohex, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Image

☁ Name
Anne Pitcher

☁ Zodiac Sign
Aquarius

☁ Age
18

☁ Gender
Female

☁ Personality
Anne is, in one word, complex; in two words, she is extremely complex. She is full of nothing but opposites.

She is friendly but hostile; open but shy; agreeable but contrary; honest but secretive; wise but foolish; responsible but lazy; giving but selfish. It is hard to capture Anne's essence in just a few words. She is cheerful and optimistic by nature, but her hard childhood made her slightly bitter towards those better off. She hates complainers, but she is extremely empathetic and is very understanding. She herself doesn't whine much and usually keeps her pain, physically and emotionally, to herself. She hates thinking of herself as a burden to anyone and is very independent. To her, relying on someone else's help is dishonorable. She would much rather accomplish tasks on her own, and despite being so extroverted is, in truth, a loner. She both loves to be surrounded by people and be off by herself. Sometimes, Anne just needs a break from people in general and appreciates the occasional, quiet retreat from everyday life. She hates the ordinary and mainstream and will seek out the strange and elusive, just for fun.

Anne is extremely creative and has literally hundreds of ideas circling around in her head, but has issues with procrastination and it too lazy to do anything about her ideas. She could definitely use some help in the motivation area. She is really only moved to accomplish something when she feels like it is worth her time or will benefit her. She is a bit selfish. Conversely, if she sees a friend is in need, she will do anything for them. She has undying loyalty, but it is hard to earn her trust when she keeps everyone at an arm's distance. She is secretive, even to her closest friends, for seemingly no reason. Though she may seem like someone trying too hard to come off as mysterious, Anne genuinely hates wallowing in the past unless it is on her own terms.

She can't stand intensity, so is constantly cracking a joke even at the most inappropriate times because she feels a need to lighten the mood. Even when doing the simplest things, like taking a walk with friends, Anne is guaranteed to be having the most fun. She sees wonder in the world all around her and she is constantly lost in the clouds (yet grounded in reality; oh, the contradictions!) She likes discussing emotions with other people, but when it comes to hers she will quickly switch to another topic. She hates talking about herself.

She rocks it like a rebel and purposely does things to shock people, but also to show them a new way of thinking. She is a humanitarian and wants to change the world, but becomes frustrated when changes come about slowly. With her brilliant mind, she expects everyone to move along as fast as she does. Of course, that will always be an unrealized dream. But she can hope. She always has hope.

☁ Bio
Anne can't deny that she had a wonderful childhood. Even still, her family was dysfunctional and poor. With two half-sisters and one unemployed mother, Anne's own father was out of the picture her entire life. That is, until he died when she was eleven of a heart attack. She never knew the man personally but it was still a hard blow to the heart. With an overbearing personality growing up, Anne was also a bully, but her father's death changed that. She became more stoic and saw how fragile life truly was. It taught her a true lesson.

Her mother was crippled in a car accident years ago and so her health was always very delicate. Her younger sister was petite and weak, and her older sister's health wasn't much better than their mom's. Because of this, Anne had to do most of the heavy work around the house and was definitely the most healthy, even though she herself was considered to be sickly. Now that her older sister has moved out and her mother's health has gotten infinitely worse, Anne pretty much runs the household. Typical sob story, blah blah blah. Anne doesn't let it get to her. Despite being poor, their mother never left them wanting. She was pretty spoiled as far as most kids go, and she was raised right. Not only that but her family is pretty awesome and they're very tight. They may be dysfunctional, but they only have each other so their bonds are strong. She is in her last year of high school and will be graduating soon. She is planning on getting a few scholarships and going to art school.

☁ Element
Air. The wind changes with Anne's emotions. When she is happy, gentle breezes are felt. When she is sad, there is no wind. When she is angry, fierce storm winds will smack people around a bit. Anne has never noticed how the wind reacts to her, but when she does she will realize she can control it, and when utilized correctly will even allow her to fly. Of course, there are darker options she can use her powers for. For instance, suffocating people or blinding them, maybe even causing their lungs to burst.

Aqua smiled, and left the change on the counter. She had enough money to last herself a while. She raised a slender brow as she started to walk out of the botique. As soon as she touched the door she fell backwards. It was as if she were hit by someone invisible. "Ow." She said looking around. She shakily got up, her lower body cramping. "It's not time for my period... why these cramps." She thought to herself as she got in her car. She was shivering violently now, beads of sweat were rolling down her face and back. Her cramping had gotten worse, then as if it had started it stopped. Aqua closed her eyes and took a deep breath, she was just tired. She looked down at her dress to examine it once more, until she noticed something else. She screamed.

"I'm a FISH!" She sobbed, she loved swimming, but not to the point she wanted to be a fish! She examined her arms and looked in the mirror. Her upper half was still human at least...She shrieked when she saw her hair. "No! No! No!" She pouted, her gorgeous Aqua colored hair was now water, it was as blue as the Carribean Sea. There went her car detail. She looked around to make sure no one could see what was going on. There was nobody on the streets. "How weird." She commented to herself. Reaching for her phone, she quickly dialed her boss's number. "Sorry Mr. Johnson, I got food poisoning... I can't come back to work." There was a loud sigh on the phone, and then a click.

She dialed her second number. "Mooooomy!!! I'm a FISH! My Hair is WATER! Help!" She wailed into the phone. There was a laugh on the phone, then another sigh. "Come home...did you see anyone else act strange?" Aqua was confused... her mom was so calm...but why. "Yeah... this girl." She rolled down her window and looked at the girl standing at her vehicle. She couldn't remember her name... Suddenly a Name came to the back of her mind. "Leo!" She yelled to the girl hoping to get her attention. She looked down at her fish tail and noticed it was gone. Her hair however, was still a cascade of water.

Get up. Shower. Make breakfast.

Anne circled these commands in her head drowsily. She would have to get up eventually. Five more minutes. She had stayed up until twelve last night chatting with friends; bad habit, yes, but Anne took the opportunity to talk to friends anytime. It got pretty boring and lonely around her house when there wasn't anything she could really do. She'd beaten all her video games. She spent so much time on the computer that she was actually getting bored of it (shocker.) It's not like she could go out at night. She had to stay home and watch her little sister. Well, technically, no one ever told her to. But she felt obliged to do it anyway.

Blah blah blah.

Whatever.

Anne rolled out of bed and hit the floor with a dull thud. Finally, she pushed herself up and trudged to the bathroom, glancing at her reflection in the mirror, then looking back again. "Ha ha. Sheet lines." Her face was and neck were covered in them. She grimaced at the ugly markings. Hopefully the shower would make them go away. Thirty minutes later and she was fully dressed, combing her wet hair. She went and opened her sister's door, turning on the light. "Get up." Julia groaned and shoved her face in her pillow. Anne shrugged. "Breakfast in ten. Your choice." Then she walked to the kitchen and cleaned off the stove. She would make eggs and toast--breakfast of champions. "Rah, rah," she muttered to herself as she got the burner going.

Another typical morning.

Thankfully, Anne lived about a five minute's walk from her high school. So, after breakfast was done and Julia was on the bus (she preferred it to walking,) Anne slung her book bag over her shoulder grabbed her purse, and walked out the door. As she walked, she gazed up at the sky. It was starting to get colder, but Anne didn't mind. Somehow the cold weather was beautiful. She smiled dreamily up at the clouds, a gentle breeze tousling her hair. But even as she did that, a strange sense of foreboding lurked on her mind. She frowned, and the breezes stopped. Dropping her gaze ahead of her once more she realized that she had nearly stepped out into traffic. "Holy--" She lurched backwards and waited for the Walk light to turn green. "Oops. Ha ha." Third time she'd nearly gotten herself hit this week.

New record.

"Leo!"

"Pisces!"

Anne halted in her tracks, her gaze dragged back down from the sky once more. She blinked, then frowned. Leo? Pisces? As in, the Zodiac? Anne looked to the left, at the Clothing Boutique, the quaint little shop she had passed by every day on her walk to school. She blinked lazily, watching as one woman ran up to the other, who was in a car. They exchanged a few words, and Anne's brow weighed heavily on her eyes. She swore she knew them. It was a small town, sure, but the familiarity she saw in the two faces was startling. She felt like she knew them personally, and a strange sense of foreboding once more washed over her. A rapid wind began to pick up, whipping Anne's hair about her face violently. She impatiently shook her hair away from her face and turned to gaze at the two quite intensely.

"I know them," she murmured, her words caught on the wind and drifting away. She squinted her eyes meaningfully. Those names sounded familiar, too. Anne felt like she had called them that before. A foggy image came to mind. A group of people... something to do with the stars. But try as she might, she couldn't remember. Then again, she didn't even know if it was an actual memory. Unconsciously, she began drifting towards the two woman, drawn in and quite unable to pull away.

Aqua sighed and ran her fingers through the water that should have been her hair. "This sucks... shoulda seen me when I was a fish." She chuckled, and pointed to the passenger side, "Get in... my mom seems to know what's up." Her eyes shifted to behind the woman. "Aquarius." She'd whisper, looking back to the girl she called Leo. She closed her eyes and wished for her hair to go back to normal, its long flowing aqua curls. Her hair seemed heavier than before. She ran her fingers through it, felt more like hair than water now. "Hop in you two... we better go see mom, before I turn into a fish and can't drive anymore.

She didn't seem aware of what Isis could do, but she just really wanted to go home and get in her bathing suit, and go for a nice swim.

Aira watched as the girl ran off saying she felt sick. She felt a little bad for her until she felt the same thing. The air was foul suddenly. All the metal in the room was nauseating. She held her stomach and her mouth as bile rose in her throat. She heard the girl scream from the restroom but Aira couldn't move. Then there was pain in her head like she's never felt before. "Gahhhhh!" She screamed out clutching her temples. Her vision blurred as she felt her skin tear. She was on her knees as blood dripped from her forehead as she felt weight increasing on her head. She slammed her hand down on the wooden counter and it protested with a crack. Aria pulled herself up and saw her reflection in a small face mirror on the counter. She screamed and nearly lost her grip. She held tight as her legs felt weak and looked at her reflection.
Protruding from her temples were long bull horns. The skin bled as the ivory white bones curved out and then bend at the end. They were heavy but not so heavy that she couldn't move her head.
"Leo!" She heard some cry and then some else called out. "Pisces!" Aira's head hurt and she pulled herself to her feet. She walked wobbly toward the exit and out to the street. "Someone help..." She managed to whisper before her body lost it's equalibirum. She stumbled forward reaching out for something to hold on to and one of those oddly placed trees between the street and the concrete sidewalk moved and it's limb wrapped around her body and kept her steady. Shockingly enough, she wasn't afriad. She held on to the branch and regained her balance. She relaxed and as the limb did. She moved her hand and the limb moved with it. Aira's eyes were wide and noticed she was not the only odd creature as a girl's hair turned from hair to Water then slowly back to hair. "Help me" She asked the girls. Holding her hands over the split skin where the horns broke free from.

Isis had got in, not doubting the woman. When she whispered Aquarius, Isis looked over at the woman who had come up. She nodded to the woman and then heard something else, a scream. Turning around, she saw a woman with bull horns sticking out. Gasping, she looked at the other two women and yelled the first name that came to her mind, "Taurus!"

She made a motion meaning stay here. Isis turned and took off running towards Taurus. "T-Taurus, I'm here! It's okay." She looked at the horn, and the tree limb that was wrapped around her. A gasp wanted to escape, but she kept calm.

"You need to calm down and get out of the tree branch. You need to come with us! That woman with the blue hair's mom might know what's going on."

She looked back to make sure that the other two were still there.

The cramps started up again. Her eyes opened in shock, "Guys hurry! I'm getting ready to go all fish on you guys!" She squeaked trying to get her cramps to stop. She wanted to help everyone, and get answers for herself. "Call me Aqua... everyone else does." She grimaced...the cramps were getting worse. She waited patiently for them, glad she was wearing a dress, or else she would have lost one of her favorite pair of jeans. Closing her eyes she cleared her mind, thinking about driving home. The cramps disappeared. She let out a soft sigh, as her mind sat in silence. Looking over at the woman with bull horns she frowned, how was she going to fit those in her car. "Try making them go away." She paused, "Imagine your free, without horns...." Shrugging she opened the car door, "I had a fish tail..and thats what I did."

Aria listened to the girls. One said to try imagining her without horns. She wanted to nod but felt she might fall over. She closed her eyes and focused. Soon she felt as if the horn sliding back into her skull, slowly. When she opened her eyes, her head felt lighter. She looked at the girl, Isis and nodded thanks. The tree limb loosen it's grip and returned to it's original position. She made her way with the girl to the blue haired girl's car. The metal made her nauseous and her skin crawl. "I think I'm gonna be sick." She muttered as she crawled wearily in the back seat. She laid her pounding head against the seat and tried to relax. Horns...Of all things horns... She thought as she passed out from exaugstion.

Isis smiled when the horns disappeared. She looked at Aqua, "Thanks Aqua." When the horned woman passed out from exhaustion, Isis sat down and buckled her body up, "Alright! Let's go!"

She was glad that everyone was okay, there was still the impending feel that something was happening, that something bad was going to happen. She felt as though all of them in this vehicle were connected somehow. She just didn't know how. She looked down at her hand. Earlier, this arm, and her other were a blazing inferno.

She tilted her head in curiosity. What else could she do with it? If it didn't hurt, then obviously is was a part of her. She felt like it was. Flexing her hand, she wondered how she got it to work.

Turned the car on, not even bothering to buckle up. "Girls ready? Good!" She laughed and put her car in reverse, then drive. "Now... don't freak out when we get where I'm going." She had to warn them.. their house was pretty huge... she remembered having friends freak and spazz because the house was huge. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the girl she called Leo flex her hand. "What can you do?" She asked curiously. Since she could turn into a fish and have water for hair... she wanted to know. She had already seen someone have bull horns. Aqua kept looking from the road to herself in the mirror to her legs. She had been a fish...well half fish.

They weren't to far from the house...she was scared. What did her mom know that she didn't? What was going on? She instantly thought of the movie The Little Mermaid. Laughing softly she blurted out, "Since I can go all half fish... maybe the Disney Movie the Little Mermaid was true? Maybe I'm Ariels great something grand daughter." She couldn't help but laugh. Maybe she was loosing her mind...could it all have been a dream? She sighed once more.

Aqua pursed her lips and nodded, finally pulling into her driveway. She parked her car and helped everyone get out, she stoped when she saw her moms sad face in the window. She looked at the girls and then ran inside, hopefully they understood they were welcome. "Ma! What's going on?" She asked panic written all over her face. "Let's wait for your friends sweetie... and cute dress." Her mother said calmly. Aqua was pretty impatient when it came to things like this, but she held her tongue and waited, as she felt cool water running all over her shoulders, and her legs molding together. She squeeled as she fell on the floor, her legs making the same fishtail she had earlier. Her hair back to water. "How can I get this to stop." She asked a bit frustrated motioning to her fishlike body. Giving a soft laugh her mother said, "You need to clear your mind Aquamarine." Aqua crossed her arms and pouted.

Aqua shot Isis a look and tried focusing on clearing her mind. She thought about the sea, and how the water was on a calm sunny day. She could feel her hair returning to normal, and her fishtail dissolving. "Wow... that's weird." She whispered when she stood back up. Her mother smiled and looked outside still seeing the girls gather themselves. "Well... i'll go fix some tea." She smiled and turned to go in the kitchen. Aqua stretched and looked outside at the beach. "Such beauty..." She sighed and looked at Isis. "So fire eh? Interesting." She had no clue on how to talk to this girl...they didn't know each other... they only knew they responded to the words of the Zodiac.
