â Personality
Anne is, in one word, complex; in two words, she is extremely complex. She is full of nothing but opposites.
She is friendly but hostile; open but shy; agreeable but contrary; honest but secretive; wise but foolish; responsible but lazy; giving but selfish. It is hard to capture Anne's essence in just a few words. She is cheerful and optimistic by nature, but her hard childhood made her slightly bitter towards those better off. She hates complainers, but she is extremely empathetic and is very understanding. She herself doesn't whine much and usually keeps her pain, physically and emotionally, to herself. She hates thinking of herself as a burden to anyone and is very independent. To her, relying on someone else's help is dishonorable. She would much rather accomplish tasks on her own, and despite being so extroverted is, in truth, a loner. She both loves to be surrounded by people and be off by herself. Sometimes, Anne just needs a break from people in general and appreciates the occasional, quiet retreat from everyday life. She hates the ordinary and mainstream and will seek out the strange and elusive, just for fun.
Anne is extremely creative and has literally hundreds of ideas circling around in her head, but has issues with procrastination and it too lazy to do anything about her ideas. She could definitely use some help in the motivation area. She is really only moved to accomplish something when she feels like it is worth her time or will benefit her. She is a bit selfish. Conversely, if she sees a friend is in need, she will do anything for them. She has undying loyalty, but it is hard to earn her trust when she keeps everyone at an arm's distance. She is secretive, even to her closest friends, for seemingly no reason. Though she may seem like someone trying too hard to come off as mysterious, Anne genuinely hates wallowing in the past unless it is on her own terms.
She can't stand intensity, so is constantly cracking a joke even at the most inappropriate times because she feels a need to lighten the mood. Even when doing the simplest things, like taking a walk with friends, Anne is guaranteed to be having the most fun. She sees wonder in the world all around her and she is constantly lost in the clouds (yet grounded in reality; oh, the contradictions!) She likes discussing emotions with other people, but when it comes to hers she will quickly switch to another topic. She hates talking about herself.
She rocks it like a rebel and purposely does things to shock people, but also to show them a new way of thinking. She is a humanitarian and wants to change the world, but becomes frustrated when changes come about slowly. With her brilliant mind, she expects everyone to move along as fast as she does. Of course, that will always be an unrealized dream. But she can hope. She always has hope.
â Bio
Anne can't deny that she had a wonderful childhood. Even still, her family was dysfunctional and poor. With two half-sisters and one unemployed mother, Anne's own father was out of the picture her entire life. That is, until he died when she was eleven of a heart attack. She never knew the man personally but it was still a hard blow to the heart. With an overbearing personality growing up, Anne was also a bully, but her father's death changed that. She became more stoic and saw how fragile life truly was. It taught her a true lesson.
Her mother was crippled in a car accident years ago and so her health was always very delicate. Her younger sister was petite and weak, and her older sister's health wasn't much better than their mom's. Because of this, Anne had to do most of the heavy work around the house and was definitely the most healthy, even though she herself was considered to be sickly. Now that her older sister has moved out and her mother's health has gotten infinitely worse, Anne pretty much runs the household. Typical sob story, blah blah blah. Anne doesn't let it get to her. Despite being poor, their mother never left them wanting. She was pretty spoiled as far as most kids go, and she was raised right. Not only that but her family is pretty awesome and they're very tight. They may be dysfunctional, but they only have each other so their bonds are strong. She is in her last year of high school and will be graduating soon. She is planning on getting a few scholarships and going to art school.
â Element
Air. The wind changes with Anne's emotions. When she is happy, gentle breezes are felt. When she is sad, there is no wind. When she is angry, fierce storm winds will smack people around a bit. Anne has never noticed how the wind reacts to her, but when she does she will realize she can control it, and when utilized correctly will even allow her to fly. Of course, there are darker options she can use her powers for. For instance, suffocating people or blinding them, maybe even causing their lungs to burst.
