SKILLS
Untamed Critical – Passive class skill. Attack stat acts as a number of points equal to level higher when determining critical hits. This skill does not increase any damage done. Does not apply to second strikes.

Still Standing – Auto, once per battle. 5 MP. When a single attack would bring the character from two or more HP down to zero, MP is automatically lost and the character retains one HP. If MP is less than five but more than zero, it takes remainder. If MP is zero, it does not activate.

Focus! - Sustained. 2 MP. Perception gains bonus of x1.5 (rounded down) for one turn in order to calculate enemy location.

Palm Strike – Active, physical, melee. 1 MP. Forcefully moves a target back a number of meters equal to character level when successfully struck. Does not work on Targets over twice the size of the character. Distance doubles when striking targets half the size of character. Cannot perform critical with this attack.

History

When Kitt was in middle school, his effeminate looks often made him the target of bullying. His older brother found out about this and set him up a means of weekly online sessions with their cousin -- a competitor in female boxing -- so she could teach Kitt a way to defend himself. The lessons went well and Kitt picked up some kickboxing skills. Eventually, in high school, he became confident enough to stand up to the bullies. Most of them backed off at this; unfortunately, one of them didn't like the resistance and turned it to a power struggle. Kitt tried following his cousin's advice and not resorting to his level, but could only do that so long before giving the bastard what he deserved. They arranged for a fight out in the parking lot and Kitt ended up breaking the students nose. The fight was broken up by teachers and the two of them got out-of-school suspension.

Currently, Kitt has not much to do, getting through the homework in a fraction of the time of a regular school. His cousin, disappointed in his choices, refuses to do any more lessons with him, leaving him to train on his own. With his new-found free time, he's been getting into gaming and when this big new release was getting all this attention, he thought he might as well get to be a part of it. His parents don't allow this kind of things as part of his being grounded, but the're idiots when it came to this kind of thing. Heck, all it took was for Kitt to bribe his older brother into buying the game for him and the rest was simply a matter of memorizing his parents long work schedules so he wouldn't be caught.

IC, Kazuma has been frequenting the Colosseum entering in the Brass Knuckle tourneys, a more simulation based combat where levels are equal and has bans on magic and equipment. She's gained a small amount of popularity as a underdog rookie rising through the rankings.

Kazma had just successfully finished another round of the lower-tier Brass Knuckle tourney. It wasn't a very satisfying victory as the opponent had turned out to be a newbie to the Colosseum that didn't quite grasp the change in how combat worked there. Disappointed in the pairing, she was too impatient for the minimum wait time between requesting matches [she needed to raise her tier level to lower the time limit]. Back in real life, Kitt, the player behind the avatar, lay lazily in bed, having already done his homework for the day. His parents wouldn't be home from work for most of the rest of the day. It'd been the same story for the past week or so. He'd be bored out of his mind if he hadn't "convinced" his big brother into getting this game for him.

So far, Kitt hadn't even had Kazma do much other than socialize in the Colosseum lobby and participate in the tourney [the latter being the manner in which she obtained the boxing gloves]. Heck, he had so much free time that he spent the entire first day with the game setting up all the stats and appearance for his Kazma avatar. Figuring it was time to test her out in the field, Kitt brought her to the quest board in Camaraderie. "Goblin Perils: Kill five goblins in the pillaged farm lands?" Sure, she could do that easy... at least she thought. Accepting the quest, she made her way to the place specified on the board.

Upon entering the Pillaged farm lands, Kazma took notice of two player characters that happened to be nearby -- one a seeming mechanic of sorts using a radar, the other some kind of magic-user with a rusty sword - looking ready to ambush a single goblin. [A goblin quite content occupying itself with an AI cow no less] she considered for a second asking if she could join their party if they were looking to take out goblins, but that seemed a bit like a bad idea when they were trying to be stealthy.

Kazma continued on alone by a different path, trying to find her own goblins for the quest, figuring her perception should be high enough to sneak by any Evil Knights that she may come by. She was going to try a less subtle approach to slaying them than the other two, however, figuring she would simply single-off goblins and charge them one by one. Sneaking just wasn't her style.

Suddenly words appeared in mid air and lightening struck down in front of where Tom and the others were.

Note: I am thinking of measures to revamp the combat system. I will try to keep it mostly the same, but all characters at this point and time will gain automatic victories if they are in combat. For now please wait until I finish this process.

The fright of Tom Random suddenly summoning up a Skeleton Warrior and the lightening gave the goblin such a fright it had a heart attack and died on the spot.

The goblin on Kaliska's end saw the anger in her eyes as well as the lightening that struck down in Tom Random's area and also died of fright on the spot. It was quite a surprise probably for both parties who actually probably weren't too far from one another.

All right... For now everyone gets rewards on the house. Please go to the places tab to see what a goblin gives out. I've got to go and start fixing the battle system.- The Adminstrator

Unfortunately, no one would have the chance to fight any goblins. A server update was apparently about to happen, at least in their area.

Galleta appeared within the castle's walls via teleport, and quickly removed her Assassin in plain sight skill. Her coming to the castle was a signal to Karena and Taurus that things were going to be moving ahead as planned before. Although these two were NPC's Galleta gave them AI's without the notice of anyone in the game. As far as both the players and creators knew they were still the typical NPC that you could fight and kill even though they seemed to be a bit bugged with their actions. However, in actuality this was the guise Galleta planned to lower suspicion on her movements a great deal. Thanks to everything that they had done Galleta was ready to move into the next phase of her plan. "Karena," Galleta called out as she made her way to the entrance to the second floor, "keep anyone that comes busy for a good while."

Galleta didn't even wait for a response before heading to the second floor. "Okay time to get things ready for the fun," Galleta said to herself as she started to prevent anyone from gaining accesses to the second floor of the castle and creating a surefire escape route for herself only. Next Galleta pulled up a message that would be sent to all the players from an unknown source. The only information they were given was where exactly the message was sent from; in other words the back of the second floor in the Dark Castle.

Dear players and creators of Hero's Squall,
As I am sure many of you are aware there is a rumor about a hacker. I would like to tell you that that rumor is in fact true. In fact I, the one writing this message, am the hacker. Now I am sure many of you are wondering something like "what is your username" or " who are you". Well I am sorry to say but that information will not be disclosed at this time.
However, if you wish to challenge me come to the second floor of the Dark Castle, if you can, and see how well you fare in a fight. Although be careful as if you lose, you are risking more than some experience.
Though don't think it will be easy since I will also keep training until someone can manage to make it to me. Have fun and good luck.
P.S. To Mr. Admin of Hero's Squall: If you or any other person under the Hero's Squall company wishes to get to me you must have more than you and you employees to get here. Those extra people must be regular players and must get through both floors solo. If they can do that then maybe you will have a chance against me.

Galleta made the message above and sent it to everyone in Hero's Squall, player and creator alike. The message was sent to herself as well, after all they can't figure out who sent it by who didn't get it that way. The only thing that anyone had to go off of was that the sender was in the Dark Castle. Any other information beyond that and what was within it was impossible for anyone to obtain. On top of that the message couldn't be replied to even if someone wanted to do so.
