Magic:
Up In The Sky – Nel is capable of flight via the sheer force of will without the use of magic. Almost considered an extension of his very own being, he is able to adjust his speed, and possibly even fly beyond the speeds of any existing aircraft to date.
Critical Eye – A energy consuming trait that Nel has to learn to control. Nel’s vision displays the every detail of any object he stares at via magic catalysts that activate his sight. This can allow him to shut down enemies by striking their weakest points. This ability also enables Nel to see through objects no matter how obscured they are. This is ability is heavily controlled by Nel in order to protect himself from its side effects. It consumes his energy little by little. When Nel's eyes reach their fatigue limit, they start glowing red and cause him incapacitating pain.
Force of Fortitude – Unconsciously, Nel releases a constant amount of his magic energy around himself, protecting him from different forms of damage. This force-field wraps around him and acts to empower his endurance as well as strength, proportional to the amount of magic he’s releasing from his body. It is impossible to turn off this ability, and therefore consumes Nel’s energy regularly. It also serves to allow Nel to breath and function normally at high altitudes when he flies at which would normally knock a normal person out cold.
Pure Ignition – Nel’s only offensive spell and by far his least favourite. Nel can release pure magic energy as blasts against his enemies. These pure blasts are dangerous and considerably powerful. One blast can consume a significant amount of Nel’s energy, meaning several blasts will render him incapable of further actions.

Weaknesses:
To begin with, Nel’s magical abilities consume his energy regularly and often in large amounts, whether he’s using them or not, especially Force of Fortitude. Critical Eye tends to send too much information that it begins to overload Nel’s brain and eyes, causing him to experience severe headache and could even temporarily incapacitate him as well as make him blind for a certain period of time. If Nel’s will is broken, or if he has a lack of will, he will be unable to fly. Nel’s regular energy consumption often never allows him to participate in battle at 100% of his strength. Also, once his energy is depleted, Nel is as good as a sitting duck. Nel is easily handicapped, due to his unwavering loyalty. This makes him an easy target for his enemies.

Equipment: None

Picture: Image

Personal Description: Nel has messy black hair that always seem windswept over his head and shocking blue eyes that seem to depict both his innocence as well as his maturity. He has a rather lean physiology and dresses in fit clothing that kind of accentuates his leanness. He sports a blue crystal piercing on his left earlobe.

Personality: Nel was a child with a good up-bringing from a loving family and learned many of his major traits from his parents, making him who he is today. Nel can be considered to be one of the very few truly chivalrous individuals in the world as well as innocent. At his age, Nel does not seem to share the interests of people his age, but instead views the world in a different light and seeks to make things better. He sees the world in only black and white, never grey, however, he believes in the good within everyone, coming across as merciful and trusting. At times in his fit of protectiveness, Nel can come across as arrogant, however, that is not the case. Due to his personal loyalty, Nel believes that he is responsible for others especially those he cares about, due to his unique strengths. Nel can be a bane to the very world he protects itself, as his loyalty makes him willing to sacrifice the world to save those dear to him. Despite that, Nel is a self-proclaimed protector of people and will do what he can for the greater good of others.

History: Nel was born to two ordinarily normal people in Lunaria. Yet, it was these people who were his parents and gave him the right upbringing for him to become who he is today. It was at the age of 7 when Nel first experienced the growth of his powers, one he did not wish to relive again. Seeing how powerful their child was, they brought him up with teachings to help shape Nel into a righteous person who would use his immense strength for good. Originally self-loathing due to his abilities, it was those very abilities that allowed him to save countless people over and over again throughout his childhood as well as teenage years. The very powers he had hated became his greatest possessions, ones he became proud of and would use countless times again to save others. But not all heroes were praised... Nel was hunted when the government had caught wind of his activities and sought him out. Having no choice, Nel and his parents parted ways, a decision Nel made to protect his family. Now he wanders around the skies, escaping his tormentors who had stolen the life he enjoyed and the peace he loved so much.

Nel trodded down the dusty road before him, as if dragging with him two feet made of heavy bags of stones. The constant sighs and gasps coming from the young adult was annoying to say the least.

He did look like he had been up and about without a drop of water though.

"Can't...what...water...?" he muttered nonsensically to himself as he squinted to make out a small little stream far off in the distance. It could've been his imagination, and so far in his fugitive escape, he had always been hallucinating about bodies of water somewhere along the road, only to be disappointed. This was different though... he could feel it.

Wasting no time at all, Nel began to pick up speed and leaped forward as if planning to charge through the air. As if anything like that was even poss-

But he did. Nel flew through the air at such speed that it seemed the very barriers of sound were being broken. The dust on the roads burst around him as he trailed through the air with loud whoops of joy as he closed into his target.

SPLASH

For once during his travels, he didn't crash into the solid ground like an idiot when he saw water. This was REAL. Nel brought his hands together as he gently cupped the sparkling water like it was some prized possession. To him, it probably was.

"WATER!!! AT LAAAAAAAAAST!!!" he cried out happily and began gulping down the water around him. He whooped and jumped, even fist pumped between drinks, enjoying the refreshing feeling of water on his dry and sun-irritated skin. He splashed around a little more before settling down to rest.

That was until he heard the impossibly loud grumbling of his stomach sounding like a thousand angry bears. His well-rounded face did a little pout as he expressed his dissatisfaction.

"DAMMIT. Just when I found water, my stomach wishes for food..." he grumbled, then felt around his pocket, then pulled out a small waterlogged pouch, opening it only to find several copper pieces and two actual note currencies. He sighed like a little girl and then settled back in the river.

"No food for me I guess."

Adion heard another person yelling, and once again covered his ears as pain shot across his face. It would take time for him to become used to people and how they yelled all the time. The woods was normally such a quiet place, but now, was being constantly blasted with bursts of noise.

It was coming from the direction of a near by stream. Adion wasn't sure exactly how good the hearing of those around him was, so he asked the group, "Did anyone else hear someone yell from that direction?" While pointing to the stream.

Ash was sitting in a tree near the stream where young man was now splashing around and yelling quite loudly. She watched the young man until he stopped having what looked like a seizure in the water. He started complaining about not having any food. Ashlynn felt a bit sorry for the boy and threw an apple at him, which ended up hitting him on the shoulder. "Will that keep you quiet for a while? I was trying to sleep you noisy boy...." she said so him. "Ive' got more if you want them...." Ash was in the giving mood. Which was unusual for her. Maybe she just felt sad for the starving boy. Who knows. Ash made sure that the shadows from the tree were hiding most of her, she wasn't interested in being seen at the moment, by anyone.

With the prospect of no food in him mind, Nel merely continued to soak in the water, relaxing himself as the coolness of flowing water soothed him aching sores as well as nourish his dried skin. That was until he felt something light smack his shoulder and bounce off into the water. It was bright red... round-ish...

"Apple?" he stared at the fruit that bobbed in the water. Without hesitation, he took it and took a bite. It was a little sour, but Nel savored the taste of food in his mouth and swallowed chunks like a ravenous beast. He slowly felt his strength return to him with each bite he swallowed, it was welcoming.

"Will that keep you quiet for a while? I was trying to sleep you noisy boy...." he heard a girl's voice calling out to him. "I've got more if you want them...."

Nel finished his apple, but despite his still grumbling stomach, he tried to smile at whoever it was hiding somewhere in the trees.

"I appreciate the apple, lass. No need to give me anymore." he said happily. "I just needed a bit of food."

After a short while of thinking:

"Ur... I'm sorry if I'm bothering your sleep. But what's a lass like you out and about in the wilderness? Are your parents with you?"

"I appreciate the apple, lass. No need to give me anymore." he said happily. "I just needed a bit of food." The young man said.

"Really, its no trouble, I've got more food than i can carry, you would be doing me a favor for taking it off my hands." She said and dropped a bag of food from the tree filled with various fruits and rice cakes. she sat there while he seemed to be thinking.

"Ur... I'm sorry if I'm bothering your sleep. But what's a lass like you out and about in the wilderness? Are your parents with you?" He said in an awkward kind of way.

Ash jumped down from the tree landing behind the young man. She put a knife to his throat and blocked him from getting away. "Does it seem like i need my parents?" She let go of him and put her knife away. "I'm old enough to take care of myself out here...well...sorta." She looked away from him. "Anyways, who are you and why are you out here? And don't lie to me, i'll know if you do and i'll beat you up if you lie." She said in a kind of sing song like tone. She was curious about this new person.

"Really, its no trouble, I've got more food than i can carry, you would be doing me a favor for taking it off my hands." Nel watched as the girl dropped a bag of food from the tree filled with various fruits and rice cakes after saying that.

Another apple had rolled close to the stream before splashing lightly into the water. Just as Nel went to grab it, the girl was suddenly behind him and placed a knife to his throat. Shocked at first, but Nel assured himself that the apple he ate just now was enough to momentarily fuel his protective coating of magic. Sure enough he could tell that the knife wasn't going past the resistance, so he relaxed a little.

"Does it seem like i need my parents?" She let go of him and put her knife away. "I'm old enough to take care of myself out here...well...sorta."

Nel picked up the apple before it could be washed away downstream and chowed on it, looking at the girl that had averted her gaze.

"Anyways, who are you and why are you out here? And don't lie to me, i'll know if you do and i'll beat you up if you lie."

Nel took a small pause as he finished the apple and licked him fingers thoughtfully. "Hmm..."

"Everyone needs parents lass, even me." he smiled, holding up his hands as if to admit defeat. "I'm basically useless, can't cook or clean to save my life if needed."

"I'm... a wanderer of sorts. Decided to travel. Name's Nel." he lied. Well... it wasn't really a lie. He was wandering. "What 'bout you lass? What would you be doing out in the wilderness without your parents?"

He climbed partially out of the water, his loose, travelling clothes dripping with water as he reached over for a rice cake. He took a glance at it before dusting it a little bit then settled back into the water to bite into the food. He let out a satisfied sigh as he set his head back against the bank of the stream and continued to eat.

" A wanderer huh? You don't seem like you can make it our here alone...You better find some company quick before you starve to death." She said in a dull tone. She was hearing noises coming from the distance but decided to ignore it. She hopped up into the tree again. "My parents are dead, and don't say you're sorry they are, you can't be sorry if you don't know them. Oh, I'm Ashlynn by the way...but don't call me that...just call me Ash. Not that you need to know my name you probably won't see me again after today." She said in a nonchalant way and she carved things into the tree with her knife.

"A wanderer huh? You don't seem like you can make it our here alone...You better find some company quick before you starve to death."

Nel laughed cheerfully as he heard the girl's dull tone speak out. He waved his hand as if to say, 'Nope, won't happen.'

He continued to finish his rice cake and reached over for a bunch of grapes to see that the girl had jumped back on the tree again.

"My parents are dead, and don't say you're sorry they are, you can't be sorry if you don't know them. Oh, I'm Ashlynn by the way...but don't call me that...just call me Ash. Not that you need to know my name you probably won't see me again after today."

"Okay~ I won't say sorry since I don't know them, got it Ash." he obliged. "You should be back home y'know. Parents dead or not, it's safer back home than here, no?"

'Unless you're just like me.' he added quietly in his head. He was feeling rejuvenated and was itching to take to the skies again now that he felt stronger, both in morale and strength.

"...There's a bunch of people somewhere nearby. You might want to join up with them, that is, factoring they aren't slave traders, until you reach the next town." he informed Ash, thanks to his Critical Eye growing stronger by the minute before he powered down, getting out dripping wet from the stream and stretched. "You may seem like you can take care of yourself, but I can't just trust a young girl to be on her own, y'know what I mean?"

He walked around, picking out fruits and some rice cakes to keep, while throwing the rest back into the bag and handing it to the girl. He grinned widely like an idiot.

"Here you go. Your bag. Thanks for the food again by the way. I feel stronger now." he stood there chewing for a while. "Actually, on second though, why don't I accompany you to the group first before I leave?"

"I'm not going home and i am certainly not going to meet up with a strange group of people. If i absolutely have to travel with someone it might as well just be you. Since you don't seem to think i can take care of myself out here." She stated in a more harsh tone. She wanted to travel alone. But he seemed to insist that she travel with people. Ash grabbed her bag and swung it onto her back. "Theres something off about you...Its weird...you have a strange energy to you." Ash said quietly. She stopped paying attention to him and listed to the noises that were coming from close by. It seemed like they were getting closer. And she didn't like it.

"I'm not going home and i am certainly not going to meet up with a strange group of people. If i absolutely have to travel with someone it might as well just be you. Since you don't seem to think i can take care of myself out here."

Nel let out a sheepish laugh at her harsh-ish tone while trying to twist his shirt dry. When he realized it wasn't helping much, he just sighed and let it be. With nothing else to do, he popped another apple into his mouth and chewed.

"Theres something off about you...Its weird...you have a strange energy to you."

Nel felt a little frightened at this, but he shrugged it off.

"Ahaha, you're a funny one lass. If anyone's weird, it would be you eh?" he made a good-natured laugh. "A lass travelling by herself in the harsh wilderness. It would be a fool's errand, unless you're a strong and powerful ma-..."

By all things holy, the apple nearly dropped from Nel's mouth when he just realized what he was about to say. Was she? Was she a powerful mage? If she was... did that mean she was on the run too? Was she hunted as well, just like him? Or was she merely a talented assassin that could sense people such as himself? Wait... if she was an assassin... then...

'Am I in danger?' Nel thought to himself, tensing to react if the girl did a wrong move.

Adion decided that it was high time he walked off from the group. For some small amount of time, all of them had stood there like time was frozen. Well, Adion was done with it. Time didn't freeze, and believing so would get one killed.

He walked in on the awkward pause between the boy and the girl. He had been hearing their conversation, not being able to understand what they were saying, and decided that they might actually do something.

As the wolf and the boy walked out off the path, they might have seemed to have come from nowhere when Adion said, "Hello." In a dull, and fairly unexcited voice. Shadow sitting neatly beside his well armed master. One who could feel magic, or perhaps a backfire in their own magic, would sense the strong, in relative terms, energies radiating off of Adion. The moment that one of them would attack, or make a threatening move, Adion would unleash his black cloud. He was always like this around new crowds. He did have a reason to be though.

Shana looked as Adion ran walked off. She barked whilst rolling her eyes bucked up her clothes in her mouth again and ran after Adion and the wolf. She seem him saying something to a boy ad girl. Possibly.a greeting she walked up to Adion attempted to bark then when it was muffled she set her clothing down and barked. She sniffed the no ad girl. They defiantly smelt weird. Like everything. There was no way to describe it. She looked at adio then at the others her eyes blazing like a bright red fire.
She heard shouts. Men in the distance. She heard one closer yelling,"I think they're this way." Who were this way. Oh God. They were looking for her. How could se be sure? Focusing she closed her eyes. An image appeared. Men with dogs and guns were coming this way. She saw and hear a wolf howl. Nightshade. He was trying to distract them. It wouldn't last long. They had to go now.
Shana barked urgently and circled them nudging their legs trying to get them to move. She barked at the other wolf, Adion's and he understood her body language. If she couldn't get them to run the men with guns would surely fond them.

The moment the clanging of metal boots hit Adion's ears, a cloud of pure black, Aoi being slightly outside. All inside, excluding those who could see magically, would only see pure black. Even the dogs began to bark nervous barks, no longer hunting their targets, but instead finding the other dogs. The guardsmen began to shout in fear of what might happen.

On the other hand, Adion and Shadow were calm as could be. In the darkness, they felt unstoppable. Those around Adion would feel his hand guiding theirs to another person's shoulder. Eventually he guided them out by tugging their hands to lead them to the road.

"A what? A mage? Well i assure you that i am. Therefore i can take care of myself sir." She said in a bored tone.

Suddenly people and wolves showed up, Ash didn't bother talking. One had a dark cloud, which was strange. Assassins started showing up and people looked like they were retreating, ash retreated to, running off into the distance where not even the dogs could find her. She stayed and waited, she would eventually see one of the others later. She could hear the nervous barking of dogs and the yells of men in the distance but ignored it. The sounds had become a daily part of her life, and she was extremely used to bing hunted by now.

"A what? A mage? Well i assure you that i am. Therefore i can take care of myself sir." the girl said in a bored tone.

Nel heaved and huffed at her statement, then rubbed his head in thought with a concerned look on his face as he looked at her.

"Oi, oi... you shouldn't so openly adm-" he was cut off by a man and a wolf that suddenly appeared. He almost freaked into a jump but managed to contain it into a small 'hiii!'.

"Hello."

"E-ello..." Nel greeted back. The appearance of another wolf, in contrasting colors to the first wolf, made Nel tilt his head in wonder. Just where were these wolves coming from?

"Hello? Is anyone here?"

What? Another person? A girl? He was about to wave when he heard the dreadful sounds of the assassin's boots and their dogs. He spun around to the source of the sound before he was entirely enveloped in a dark cloud. Thinking it some trickery of the assassins, Nel almost reacted before he felt his hand being tugged and placed onto the white wolf's back. He felt someone missing and knew that Ash had took off.

'We're all mages here? Then... was I the one they discovered? Or was it someone else?' Nel thought, looking around. 'Where did Ash go?'

Nel shook his head as if to show he couldn't believe this, closed his eyes then took a deep breathe and released it. The moment he opened his eyes, he was overwhelmed by the details he was seeing before they settled down as he controlled his sight. He could see clearly through the cloud, and saw that Ash was already well ahead of them, somewhere in the distance.

'She's fast. I'll give her that.' Nel smiled, then glanced at the assassins. They were starting to get over their initial shock and about to charge into the very, very visible dark cloud with their dogs. Nel prayed that this cloud was better use than just hiding them. It never happened though, since the assassins took notice to another person. A little young girl. Was she the one that called to them?

"Fuh..." Nel breathed out before he took off in a burst of roaring speed towards the girl. The winds blew the assassins backwards, now they were wary of the crazy wind speeds, but saw nothing as Nel whipped through the air. Without warning, he grabbed the young girl by the waist.

Just as quick as he flew out, he flew back into the cloud, just this time with an extra person. Seeing the dark clothed male as clear as day despite the cloud, he tapped his shoulder.

"Might wanna remember to bring this one along next time?" he patted the tiny, blue haired girl that he had brought back.

"Be careful with using magic in the cloud. It makes momentary clear spots, caused by backfire or something of the sort." Adion said to Nel. The girl in black had bolted off into the trees above them, likely clearing the cloud just in time to land and get out of its radius. Nel, however, brought in the girl that Adion had recognized as being somewhat capable in a fight.

Adion then continued to lead the group through the cloud, and out to the other side where the assassins couldn't see them, at least.

"They have dogs. We cannot pause for even a moment, and have to move fast if we are to avoid a fight. If not, we need to set up an ambush." Adion said, remembering the few ways that he had survived.

Aoi blinked two times, how did she end up in a cloud all of a sudden.. Everything happened as if she traveled using the speed of light. She slowly turned her head to the boy who randomly picked her up, and to the girl with jet black hair. Pointing her finger next to her mouth while trying to figure out what is happening at the moment, Aoi looked at the two with no expression.

Leaning onto the side ofcloud, she could see Adion and Shana with her pet wolf. Trying to wave to the two to notify them that she was in the cloud, Aoi accidentally lost her balanced and fell off the cloud, but luckily for her she held onto the sky's piece of wool. Hanging in the middle of the sky fortunately for her she managed to get back onto the cloud.

Sitting on the cloud bending towards her raised up knees, looking at the two's expressions she decided to just ask about the situation. "How do I get down from here?" a small pause came "And why am I up here? And also..who are you two..?" Aoi's eyebrow raised. "I am Aoi by the way. ." She added on to the conversation to make it seem some what less awkward.

Adion covered his ears with a nod, and began running on the signal. He moved through the trees with a grace that proved that he had lived in them for some amount of time. When he stopped, he was at a cave near the center of the forest. The front of the cave was covered with a door at the center. Opening it, Adion walked inside and lit the fireplace on the far side. That was one of the few times that he truly used that power. He preferred his cloud over that.
