"Shitshitshitshit."

Max repeated the curse under his breath about twenty times as he danced through the dark, cheap ass motel room. The entire thing was still filled with smoke that smelled a little too much like pot, and he knew he'd reak of the shit all day long, but he really didn't have much of an option.

"Where are you going?" a voice asked, still muffled through a pile of blankets. Max jerked on his baggy jeans, not even bothering with the button or the zip because hell knew they didn't fit that well anyway, before he looked back at his best friend.

"School, Nate," he answered, reaching over to pluck up his white shirt to jerk on. He shook his head as he jumped around to find his vans, jerking one on after the other before pulling his leather jacket out from under some girls head. Nathan was looking at him now with a confused expression, barely readable through the haze of poor lighting. "If I miss again I have to go to Saturday school. I can't afford cops on my ass, alright?"

The older male gave an uninterested shrug before falling back into a drug induced sleep. Max sighed and ran his hands through his hair before grabbing his backpack off the ground and pushing his way out of the room. The sunlight assaulted him with a surprising amount of vengeance, like it was secretly punishing him for the night before. He gritted his teeth and jogged down the stairs, making his way to the bus stop.

By the time Max was finally in school, he didn't look much different than he usually did. His pants swung too low on his hips, but his shirt in contrast was a little too small...enough so that if he raised his arms his mid drift would show. He looked exhausted, lines under his eyes showing he hadn't slept in at least a couple of nights.

He placed both hands behind his neck, stretching out for a moment before running his fingers through his hair and dropping down into his usual spot at the very back of homeroom. He just wanted to sleep...just for a little while. But no matter what he was hopped up on, the nightmares wouldn't go away...

"You will stay here forever!" A familiar voice cried inside her head. She was dreaming, and she was well aware of it. However, she did not know what was going on, and with a loud noise she sprung upwards waking up in the process. Taja has not had a dream that intense in a long time. The scary fact was, she had a feeling it had to do with.. She shook her head to get rid of the thought. "Those moments have long passed, it is all in the past and I should not be dreaming about that kind of stuff anymore," she said as she was getting read for school.

Taja finished with everything this morning and headed down stairs. She saw her mother making eggs as she approached the kitchen. "Hello mother!" she said happily, "Are you coming to come see my performance later? It's at 1:30 in the auditorium." She asked with hope. However her mother had to work and turned her down. Taja was used to not seeing her mother at big events such as this. The sad thing is that today she was going to be reviewed on her violin talent. If she were to get good enough reviews, she would be able to travel for part of the summer to Asia an perform for a whole audience.

Taja decided to walk to school today since she woke up so early. She walked inside school to be greeted by a huge poster of herself, and the principal Mr. Howard. "Hey Mr. Howard, is that for later today?" she asked as she was becoming overwhelmed with this. However, Taja didn't give him much chance to answer, she saw an opening and took off to her locker. On the outside Taja looked happy and excited, however on the inside, she was worried that she might mess up this huge opportunity. She didn't want to think of that right now though, she wanted to get through this day with no more worries. She felt fine for only a short while, until she walked into homeroom and saw who was sitting in the back. Tired looking, he looked so peaceful at rest. However, Taja wouldn't sit with him, it would be too awkward. She took her respective seat and began to read waiting for the morning announcements.

Lena walked in and took a seat, meticulously taking her toy out of her bag and placing it on the desk next to her. She looked over to catch sight of two of her "targets" Maxwell and Taja, some of the people she was going to reclaim for Otherworld. Though maybe that was not the best time to do so.

She took a very worn out looking book from her bag and turned her attention to that, deciding not to dwell too much on the whole thing right then, not in the least because she felt a tiny little grudge in spite of herself.

The redhead was quite intelligent, but her grades rarely seemed to reflect it. She tended to coast along on passable but not exceptional by any stretch, with art being the only subject she could be said to do well in, and even then only on work she could choose the subject of. Her actual still life work was always of the minimal quality possible. Whilst her notebook doodles were always intricate and detailed.

Taja listened to the announcements as they went on not to long ago. Nothing important was happening today again, as their high school only focuses on big sport events. Nothing about the Arts. Taja knows the talent in the art classes, and she wishes that that talent was not being overshadowed by sports. Taking Helena for example, Taja always knew how talented she was at Art. Although the new principle is trying. He is making everyone miss six period to come watch her evaluated performance later.

As Taja was reading her book, she could not shake this feeling that someone kept looking at her. She took the moment to look up in from her book. She scoped the room in hopes that Max was sitting behind her was staring at her. That idea was shot down as he was still slouching back on his chair. She still could not shake the feeling so she glanced over to the other corner of the room to see a familiar face staring over at Taja's direction; it was Helena. She was looking at Taja with such a look that read "I'm coming for you". Instead of giving her a weird look, Taja simply waved at her and went back to her book.

Funny thing about her book selection. Taja reads books that have to deal with fantasy worlds, and adventures that are out of this world. It is not a coincidence between her experiences with Otherworld and her selection of books. In a way, that book is the last link keeping her bond with Otherwold. Whether Taja knows it or not, she will not stop reading them. It is all in her subconscious. Taja got up from her desk to throw a piece of paper out when she noticed something Max was wearing. She noticed a bracelet he was wearing among other ones. Taja couldn't believe what she was seeing. That same bracelet is the one she made for Max on his 8th birthday. She couldn't help but smile like a fool as she was heading back to her desk. It was then when she saw another familiar face walk through the door.

Something seemed...different. Max could easily blame it on the fact that he hadn't been sleeping well, or maybe he was on something that was making him paranoid (wouldn't be the first time), but when Helena sat down...she seemed to look right at him. That in itself wouldn't have been so weird...if he and his old friends hadn't spent the last ten years thoroughly avoiding each other, despite being in the same building for eight hours everyday of the week.

Her attention shifted to Taja, and his followed hers for a moment, but he didn't give much thought to his old friend. Instead, he huffed out a breath of annoyance for being so thoughtful about his surroundings before sinking lower in his seat, pulling his hood down over his eyes. No one would bother him, they knew he didn't have much potential. But as the class wore on, he found himself absentmindedly playing with the blue bracelet around his wrist. He had dozens, on both arms, well worn from never taking them off, but that always caught his attention without him even realizing it.

When the bell finally rang he was the last one who managed to drop his feet to the ground and push himself up. For his age, the struggle of standing was ridiculous. But he was running off maybe four hours of sleep for the past three days, and a handful of uppers that probably weren't doing anything good for his motor skills. Second period was another one of those classes they had all together, another one where the seat in the very back had been spared just for him. People had learned, by now, which seats were his.

He trudged in just before Angela Stephens made an appearance, making sure to spare each of them a general gag. Usually the queen bee of bitches left Max alone, he didn't really make it on her radar, but at the gag that was directed towards him he made a definite show of grabbing his crotch, telling her to 'suck it' more or less.

But, like usual, he wasn't worth her time, she went on to bugging Taja after that. What was it with people to day, being particularly obnoxious? Man, he needed a fix. Maybe someone was carrying...he'd figure out next period, or ditch lunch, one of the two.

As usual, Joe was late to school. Dealing drugs was a time consuming business at times. Once you built up your reputation, you needed to stand in the same place every day at regular periods of time. If you weren't there when one of your customers was craving a fix, then they would be easily picked up by a rival drug dealer. Personally, Joe dealt drugs near the back of the high school building an hour before school started, but today, a few of his usual customers were late so he was obliged to wait for them. Not that he minded too much. The smoke from the marijuana cigarette he was smoking kept him warm. Nonetheless, when he entered the building, he knew he had missed his first class. No matter.

He trudged in a classroom, noting the appearance of several of his old friends. He raised an eyebrow. Helena was oddly focused. He wondered if she was going through withdrawal... No, she didn't do drugs. At least, not recreational drugs. He snorted as Angela tried to intimidate Taja. He walked past her.

"Good morning, Angel. How was your test? Did it turn blue?" he told her with a smirk. He elicited a few giggles from her cronies. That was loyalty for you.

Angela smirked as Joe walked past her, silencing her ladies with a wave of her hand. "I'm sorry, was that meant to offend me? The only thing offending me at this moment is your god-awful taste in cologne. Girls, perfume!" She and her girls sprayed a fine wave of Cherry Blossom spray throughout the room and turned back around in their chairs.

Angela tapped her long fingernails on the desk, ignoring those around her in the haughty way she did. She had thoroughly managed to cover the fear from her dream this morning, and she was positive no one saw the effects. Luckily for her, Joe had no basis to accuse her of drug use, and if anyone in the school threatened to do so, she saw that they were taken care of. No one messed with Angela Stephens unless they wanted to be publicly humiliated.

The teacher walked in then and began the lecture, and Angie found herself zoning out as she took down notes robotically. When the bell rang, Angie turned back to her girls as she stood. "Well, ladies, I suppose I'll see you at lunch. Kisses!" She air kissed and walked out of the room, making sure her hips swayed seductively as she went. She wanted everyone to notice her. She made her usual rounds, passing insults as she went. Third class meant she was alone, except for a few of her nemesis', Max and Helena (OOC: Sorry, I just did this. You can change it if you want). Angie laughed at the small redhead.

"So, Helena, what do the voices say today?" Angie had noticed Helena speaking to herself at some point, and hadn't let it go. Helena had seemed to hold on to her childhood imagination, but Angie refused to believe that that place still existed. The dreams she had been having did not mean anything. They were just dreams, after all.

Elarius

Elarius watched as Max came to school, danced around him as he thought about the law and ways to break it. Elarius was quite proud of Maxy, doing what he wanted. Then again, no one could resist Elarius's mind compulsions. He could influence anyone's mind, with no error. It was what he had been doing to Maxy for years.

Elarius looked on as Max walked into class, noticing most of the six that they had been called to obtain. The one ice girl made a rude noise, so Elarius came close to Max and whispered, "Something vulgar. Now." Elarius smiled behind his lips as Max did what he wanted.

Elarius drifted throughout the room, catching eyes with Snow Bison and giving her a petrifying glare. If only he could influence those of the Otherworld. It would make things so much easier. He floated above everyone's heads, finally coming to rest around Max's body, letting his head rest as Maxy's did, waiting for the moment when Max could see him again.

Taja continued her eavesdropping as the fight escalated between Helena, Angela and Joe? What is he doing there? Was he always there? She thought to herself as she continued to watch. Nothing much was happening as she only heard laughing and a couple gasps from the other students. She got bored and slowly turned to walk away. She got a couple steps away from the room when she heard this screech from the room she was listening to. She recognized that screech; it being Helena's. Taja got worried that Angela would go as far as hurting Helena. Taja was got into the room and saw a few things that shocked her. Helena was on the floor and Helena was in his arms. Knowing Joe's history, Taja wondered if he drugged her. "Joe, did you drug her? Did you get her like this?" She asked as she couldn't believe her eyes. "Or was it you Angela? Did you hit her? Was this your fault?" Taja exclaimed as she turned her attention from Angela to take a closer look at Helena. Her eyes. What's wrong with her eyes? She thought as a look of panic took over her whole face. I've seen that look from her before. This cannot be happening. No. Not now! She thought as she shut her eyes. She then turned to look at Angela. Their eyes met and emidietly they both knew that "it" was happening again.

Max felt his blood boil the moment Angela made Helena her target. Honestly, Helena had done nothing wrong except for exist to get under the queen bee's skin and it irked him. Wasn't like Helena was going looking for trouble, Angela just gave it to her without warning. It bothered him. Bully's bothered him.

Just as he was dropping his feet to the ground to put in his two cents, Helena had...some kind of episode. She looked legitimately frightened, sounded it too, and the reply of laughter Angela gave only angered him farther. He had to admit, if he was put in a situation, he'd take Helena's side over Angela's any day. Damn who may or may not have been his best friend when they were six.

Joe was at her first, obviously Max was thinking along the same lines. Why wouldn't it be drugs? Except, as far as he knew, the redhead was clean. Angela was still talking, the only one not freaked out enough yet to be shocked into silence. Then Helena screamed, her body arching, and Max shot into motion.

Most of the class had already spread out, looking for a teacher or a nurse or something. "Hey, go get some wet paper towels," he snapped at some cheerleader standing by the door. She nodded quickly, probably too shocked that he'd said anything at all, before disappearing around the corner.

Max hit the ground next to Joe, shaking his head. "You didn't find anything on her, right?" his pushed at the sleeves on her shirt, looking for needle marks, anything. Max had to admit, he didn't know a lot about the drugs he didn't take himself, but they needed to cover their bases. If she was on something, they'd lock the school down, try and figure out where she got it.

He pressed his fingers to his eyes, trying to shake the selfishness off and remind himself that spells like this didn't often appear for no reason at all. If it wasn't drugs, her life could very well be in danger. He could hear someone else talking behind them...Taja? He didn't take the time to look. The girl returned with the paper towels he asked for and he nodded his thanks, ripping them out of her hands before pressing them to Helena's face. She was sweating, nearly shaking. "Come on Lena..."

Angela looked away from Taja, not willing to subject herself to whatever feelings the girl was projecting. After all, Angela had planned to sabotage the girl's career as a violinist later, and this wasn't going to make her change anything. Joe snapped at her and she sneered. Helena was twitching and it was definitely freaking her out. The cold presence around her shoulders was back, stronger than ever, filling her heart with despair.

Suddenly then, Max jumped out of no where and started checking her arms, surely for needle marks. Angela snorted, looking at her old friends like they were idiots. "Don't you all see? She's a lunatic, having a seizure or something. The world will be a better place without crazies like her infecting our hallways." Angela crossed her arms over her chest, seeing the cheerleader that Max had sectioned off as his personal errand runner huddling in the corner. Angela was definitely friends with the cheerleaders, they didn't dare cross her.

Angela saw the situation with Helena get worse as Max pressed paper towels to her face. "Oh, for Gods sake. Do you wall know nothing? That won't wake her up. Give me that." Angela commanded to a junior student, holding her hand out for the ice water bottle he was holding. When she touched the freezing liquid, it was as if the presence around her got stronger. The ice making the despair grow. Angela shut her eyes against the feeling, willing herself not to show weakness. The presence faded, shifting to an idle draw around her shoulders again.

Angela huffed, walking over to the desperate boys and obviously insane girl, before dumping the bottle of water on her head. "There. That should wake her up."

Helena hid out in a patch of dense woodland, having covered the distance well enough whilst the equine headed bounty hunter was recovering its composure and cleaning its pike.

She leaned on the tree, listening out for its approach.

Upon hearing the footsteps she tensed, but soon determined that they were far too close together to be the sentinel. She looked round to find herself facing Jack, and gave a sigh of relief.
"I am at school...I was...something just. I did not come here willingly." she replied.
"...if...if nothing else I should not be here long."

She pushed herself forwards and walked after him, still on high alert. Jack was a welcome sight, but would not necessarily save her.

"Everything's after me." she remarked, splashing some water over her shoulder.
"Last night it was the serpents, today it's the sentinel, everything wants to murder me...more that usual..."

She unwound a band of fabric from her leg and tied it round her shoulder as a makeshift bandage. Her arm was not too strong, but it prevented to blood trail for the moment.

The girl looked over at him and pursed her lips. He was such a pessimist. All the talk about dropping her plans. She'd barely started them. Perhaps it was because the young man had never met any of the others that he was lacking faith in them. He would see though.
"And I will get them to come back...I just need more time."

Time though, was clearly not on her side, as the sound of foot steps and metallic grunts issued from the trees closeby. Helena was on her feet as the sentinel burst through the undergrowth, pike in hand, and she bolted for the trees. She would have been concerned for Jack, but the things did not pursue him. He seemed to exist in a curious state of immunity to many of the horrors. Helena was not nearly as lucky.

She ran as fast as she could toward the trees, doing her best to disregard the pain the vibrations caused her. Darting round a corner to take advantage of the tall beast's enormous strides, it allowed to her escape its sight line for a few moments, sufficiently time to leap up into a tree and clamber a ways up before it thundered into view, snorting.

She crouched in the fork, watching it hesitate, casting its head round back and forth as it tried to come to a conclusion regarding the disappearing girl.

Soon it was going to discover the perch.

Then a slight glimmer caught her eye.
A vine grew round the tree, a bright vermillion lined with sickle leaves...that were sharp as razors. Daggervines. Just what she needed. Silently, Helena reached over with her free hand and grasped a hand full of it, just as the metal head tilted up toward her.

She jumped.

Using the momentum she sung over, round in an arc and clashed the sharp vine into the spine of the hunter. There was a burst of fire and oil, a screech of metal, and the body collapsed into a burning heap as its core melted its shell.

Helena herself landed on both feet on the floor, flexing her sliced and bleeding hands before walking over toward the head, which rocked gently.
"Oh...um...hello there. Now..I hope you didn't take what I said earlier...about the head thing as real...it was..merely a figure of speech...I did not mean your actual head...oh no not at all!" it exclaimed.

The girl took the ridge along the top in hand, lifting it from the floor.
"Now...now you wouldn't do anything untoward whilst I'm helpless would you? " it asked.

She looked around until she caught sight of a creature burrow between some tree roots, and walked over to it, turning the head face toward the hole and stuffing it inside with force.
"Oh now that's just petty." came a muffled retort.

Helena turned and walked away. She was still dripping small splatters of blood onto the ground behind her. Brilliant, she would be much too easily tracked like that. But she had a feeling that she was going to have to deal with that lat-

Helena's eyes snapped back to focus and she coughed, spitting out some water onto the carpet.
"...uh...hi?" she greeted after a moment, realizing that she was lying on the floor, and everyone was very much staring at her.

"No. Helena is clean," Joe told Max. For a moment, he could not help his lips twitching into a small smile. It was almost like a reunion after speaking to each other that much in what felt like forever. He glared at Angela when she dumped water onto Helena' s face, but couldn't complain when Helena opened her eyes. He grinned at his old friend.

"Welcome back to the real world," he told her. He didn't notice it, but he gripped hand, "Are you okay? What happened?"

He always hated to see Helena hurt. Even when they were kids, he was the first with bandages for her s and a kind word. Of course, he was a lot different back then. He had toughened up a lot over the years. Still, he always had a soft spot for the strange girl. Not once had he offered to sell her any drugs and he had made it clear that if anyone bothered her, he'd bother them. Still, he felt guilty. He had drifted away from her and the others over the years. He hadn't meant, but things happened. Things like Al.

"Please tell us."

Angela rolled her eyes at Joe with his glare, but scoffed when Helena opened her eyes. "See? What did I tell you?" She crossed her arms and tapped her foot. Joe asked her what happened, and Angie rolled her eyes again.

"Isn't it obvious? We all knew she was crazy. This just proves she's breached the walls of pure insanity." Angela walked around, kicking Max's heel with her shoe as she passed. Max had been relatively off her radar. They had been close friends as kids and it wasn't like she forgot that. But, hey, there only so many insanity jokes she could make about Helena. She definitely needed a new victim.

Angela turned, peering down at Helena and Joe. She made a disgusted face at Helena. "Yuck. You smell like the outdoors."

Max really should have paid more attention to what was going on in the background, because in the next second there was icey water everywhere. He leaned back on his heals, cursing under his breath as he got sprayed. It wasn't bad, just enough to shock him, and he turned his glare up towards Angela. His mind was spinning, immediately filling with any sort of way he could bite her head off, but the sound of coughing quickly caught his attention.

Max turned back to Helena in an instant, but for a moment his focus drifted towards Joesph. It was almost like they were six years old again. Joe had always been the caring one, the one to show up with a first aide kit, the first one to give a damn. A lot had changed, and for just a split second, Max wondered how they got like this.

Before he could go down that road Angela was kicking his boot, which was a good distraction. Max was on his feet again, glaring down at Angela. If she was a guy, he'd already be pushing her across the room, but he wouldn't touch her. Max was a lot of things, probably just a layer above the rest of the scum in the school, but he wouldn't touch a girl out of anger. Never. Still, that didn't hold his voice back.

"What the hell is wrong with you, huh?! You know you could have sent her body into shock with that little stunt!" He was yelling, and people around the class room were either still focused on Helena or focused on him because most people hadn't heard Max so much as mutter in two or thee years, much less yell. "Do you really not have enough attention already on your pathetically fake ass that you have to go and pick on others, huh? Why can't you just leave her alone?"

He could feel his anger like it was actually a presence, resting it's head on his shoulder and draping it's arms around his body. It made him physically stagger for a moment it was so strong. That, or he was just that sleep deprived.

Angela smiled pityingly at Max. This was exactly the outcome she had hoped for. "Well. The bad boy mute finally speaks. FYI: There is never enough attention on me. You all are just fun to play with. I mean, one little trip where I accidentally kick your little boot and you're already jumping up and yelling at me. How are those anger management classes going? It makes more sense to see you not going, considering you can barely contain yourself." She stepped back and fanned out her arms in front of her to include her three former friends.

Looking at the rest of the class, she cocked her head to the side. "Look at this, the druggie, the convict, and the insane. Looks like you guys have it all figured out. Great job taking part in society, gold medals to all of you." The class laughed and immediately she had ostracized the three more than they already were. Now, when the school looked at them, all they would remember was that Angela Stephens had succeeded yet again in ruining another's reputation. Joe may have been a respected badass, but now he was a badass who had been beaten by a girl, as well as Max. Nobody liked Helena anyway, so no gain there.

"And, please. Stop acting like this is some secret thing from our childhood dreams. The girl is insane, maybe some shock would do her good. Anybody see that stupid toy she carries around all the time? Maybe we should burn it. It could be her first step to recovery."

Max hated that damn smile of her, the one that looked like she was pitying him, because he didn't need it. He exhaled heavily as he glared at her. He couldn't care less that she so much as touched him, it was the entire fucking scenario going on that was pissing him off. He physically recoiled at the mention of anger management because yeah, she struck a cord.

The laughter didn't bother him, it never had. He didn't give a shit about what they all thought of him, in fact he was so invisible it wasn't uncommon for people to forget he existed at all. He couldn't really argue with the idea that Helena might be mentally unstable though, the thought had crossed his own mind more than once. Still, that didn't give Angela the right to ostracize her every chance she got.

He took one more step forward, didn't matter that Angela had wrapped herself up in her group of followers or not. He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "Keep talking, Angie. I hope you enjoy your climb to the top. And when you get there, call me and let me know how it feels to find yourself utterly alone."

To someone who didn't understand, it would look like Angela Stephens had the most friends in the world, but Max knew. He knew how fake everyone was. Especially the people she surrounded herself with, who stated their friendship based on laws of popularity and need of social standing. When the cards fell, she'd find she had no one to turn to. In fact, given what the date was, he was sure she'd find out very soon.

He smiled at her, a half kind of smirk he'd always had when he knew he was right and no one else could argue with him. But as his anger died down, something in his heart physically hurt. He'd tried with her. He'd tried so hard to hang onto her, to keep her together, but in the end she had made her decision.

As Beau made his leisurely stroll through the halls, trip number three to the bathroom, he let his head lull back and eyes cast upwards towards the ceiling. He was still coming down from this morning's high, and the mellow buzz it gave him made it hard to really focus. Pursing his lips and huffing out air he paused in his absentminded behavior as the sound of footfalls managed to capture the youth's attention. His hand stopped sliding across the length of the lockers and his head was on the swivel. Hazy orbs slipped into focus in time to spot the vaguely familiar face as it hurried by, a wad of paper towels in hand.

Curiosity piqued, Beau ghosted the girl's steps around the corner and spied her rushing into the second classroom on the left. "Ruh roh, Raggy." He mumbled in his best Scooby Doo impression, shoulder soon pressed to the door frame. As he peered in, it quickly became obvious that there was some sort of commotion. Helena lay on the floor, surrounded by a bunch of hovering mom figures. Beau instantly whistled in audible intrigue. Not to mention the tension in the air was thick as gof. The young man acted as if he hadn't noticed. "I hope all you kiddos are playing nice now, ya' hear?" Because by the look of it, either their old eccentric six year old pal had conked out on her own, or someone had taken it upon themselves to knock her on her ass. How was he supposed to know?

Taja just kept to herself as this commotion went on around her, and to be honest she didn't know what to do exactly. Taja was clearly on defending Helena, but she didn't want to leave Angela on her own either. She knew Angela was wrong, but she was still an old friend and it felt wrong to just push her away some more. With that, Taja just stayed in the background not sure of what to say to what was going on. It was happening so quick that she was starting to get very overwhelmed with the situation.

Taja watched as Taja decided to take it into her own hand and pour ice water on Helena. That got her worried because knowing Angela she was just making it worse. However, Helena did react to the ice water and began going back to normal. Taja gave out a sigh of relief because Helena was going to be okay. "Guys, she going to be fine just give her some room and allow her to get up." Taja suggested. As that was happening, the final member of the six entered all too late. "What is this a reunion?" Taja said with amazement. "We haven't all been in the same room and actually interact with each other in years." Taja said as she helped Helena get off the floor and onto her two feet.

"Can someone help me get her to the nurse's office?" Taja asked as she put one of Helena's arms around her neck. "You know, just to be really sure that she is going to make it out okay" She added, "Max. You wanna help me?". Taja asked, and by the look on his face he was shocked to be picked.

The red haired girl blinked a couple of times, attempting as best she could to respond to Joe's question. Why was Joe there? That was odd.

"...the mechanical horseman stabbed me with a pike.."
Helena sat up, pushing some of her dripping crimson hair out of her face.
"...but then I removed his head."Uh...sorry...I'm okay...just saw something...then it went all...weird.."

She had no idea why she was soaking wet, but considering the argument that was taking place between Max and Angela, she could give a fair guess as to its source. Lena groaned.

She had a serious headache and Angela's bitching didn't help things.
She was also, admittedly, starting to get pretty self conscious about the number of people staring at her. She was used to being an outcast, certainly, but the active level of derision she attracted was minimal usually. Generally Angela and her minions might give her hassle about her toy or her sweaters, or shed get some insults thrown at her in the corridor. No-one seriously messed with her, and this was a little overwhelming.

Staring to feel a bit on the uncomfortable side she pulled the sodden woolen clothing off, revealing the top she had underneath, with elbow length sleeves, and showing her shoulders, which contained a notable amount of scar tissue across it and round the base of her neck. A result of a certain accident that she could not properly recall.

"I'm fine." she insisted.
"It's not a medical thing. Seriously. You would not find something wrong...sides from maybe a cut or bruise on my shoulder right now.."

She got to her feet, leaving drops of water on the carpet, and looked round for Space Coyote, in time to hear the remark about burning it. At that she turned on Angela, smiling a little bit.

"Hey, Angela. I know you're getting the dreams too." she stated.
"They'll only get worse. And Space Coyote is probably more of a danger to you, than you are to Space Coyote, trust me."
