Introduction
This is an RP about people with a second personality called Alters. These secondary personality exhibit inhuman traits, and are considered dangerous. There are two groups currently active that employ Alters: Aegis, a group dedicated to protecting innocent people from rouge Alters, and Nemesis, a group who wish to eliminate normal humans, creating a world of only Alters. The fate of mankind rests in the hands of these two groups, who wage their war in the shadows of the world.
Now, I have a few simple rules for this RP:
1. No Godmodding.
2. Post regularly. At least once every two days.
3. This RP is rated M, not A. Take anything overly explicit to PMs. However, I do keep an open mind, so violence and cussing is A OK.
Now that that is done, Here is the basic info you need for your characters:

Suddenly, the woman grabbed a throwing knife, and launched it out of her hand. Aslan quickly ran in front of Rose, and used his sword as a force field, making the knife fall to the ground in front of his feet.

"Mebbe," The Drifter grunted, "but that ain't of no consequence to you." He shrugged. "An' where did a child like you learn to use such language? Certainly not in the kitchen."
The duo arrived in front of the Regen Corporation's headquarters, and The Drifter removed the muzzle of his revolver from Kiiya's head. He pushed his free hand into her stomach, urging her forward. "Up the stairs and through the door," The Drifter grunted. He moved slowly towards the door himself, keeping his eyes on the psychotic Alter on the few steps behind him. The was still very wrong, somehow. Too many things off with her. If she hadn't submitted peacefully, he would have shot and killed her by now. But she hadn't presented an obvious threat since shooting the gun out of his hands - with marksmanship uncannily like his own, he noted to his own dismay - and as such he couldn't kill her straight away.
He made his way to the fountain and waited for Kiiya to do the same, replacing the two missing shells in his first revolver and then polishing it with the edge of his poncho.

"Get a move on old guy. I'm getting tired and I'm leaning more and more towards getting the fuck out of here." Her dark eyes snapped with a dark humor and she bit down on her bottom lip as a stresst reliever.

The drifter shrugged, leaning off the edge of the fountain and holstering the gun he was polishing. "I don't see why not," he admonished, "the woman's place is in the kitchen, anyways."
After an awkward few seconds of silence, the cowboy stood up and reached one gloved hand into the fountain. He pressed a button, and the elevator opened up. The Drifter stepped inside, waited for Kiiya, then shut the doors behind him. Pressing the button for Aegis' meeting room, The Drifter leaned up against one wall of the elevator and dozed.

Her dark eyes shifted to the old guy who had no name and was happy that he hadn't tried to correct her, she wouldn't have changed her tital for him even if he had. Kiiya loved labeling people and htings. It gave her some sens of satisfaction that controlled most of situation. Others though, they had to call her by her name or they'd be in big trouble; no one could play friendly with her unless she allowed it.
Silently leaned against the elevator wall and shut her eyes, waiting for the small space to become more open and receptive.

It was a useful tidbit of knowledge to hold on to. Just in case.
The elevator dinged, arriving at the Aegis headquarters level, at the end of the hall before the meeting room. The Drifter herded Kiiya forward, the duo moving forward towards the large room. Once they arrived, The Drifter stood beside the door and permitted Kiiya to enter first, then followed her in. "I found somebody," the gunslinging cowboy said indifferently, pulling up a seat at the meeting table.

However, she didn't dare speak out of turn because she was outnumbered and even with her new advancement on shooting she wouldn't be able to take them all down. And with her mindset of having to kill people slowly, she would have to struggle to kill them all as quickly as possible and that would cause some serious mental trauma for her later.

She placed her hands on her hips and stood in his way. "Not that sprinting through the city isn't a hell of a good time, but can we stop and talk for a minute, hon?" She blocked the path in a rather imposing way, but she knew he could probably just push right past her if he wanted to. "C'mon, we're safe now." She tried to think of things a homeless person would want. Money? No, that seemed suspicious. Food? Hm... slightly less creepy. "I'll buy you a burger, fries, and a milkshake and we can talk over that, huh?" "Don't make me fucking chase you anymore," she thought, slightly irritated, but masking it well with a friendly smile.
She sighed and went to take off her hat; her outfit already caused enough attention. If she was going anywhere public (which she hoped that she would and that the guy wouldn't take off again), she'd need to take it off. She patted her head a few times in disbelief. How could she have only just noticed it was gone? It couldn't have fallen off... it never fell off... She gasped. "Bitch stole my hat." She struggled to keep the sweet smile plastered on her face and the string of swears in her throat.

The world seemed to blur and distort, and Markus' own conscience seemed to fade. Perhaps it was Darius forcing his way through, however unlikely that may be, or maybe Markus himself was starting to disappear. Either way, it wasn't until a good time later that he managed to stabilize everything again. And by the time he did, Henri was lying inside the building having had a computer slammed into her, the boy had escaped and taken off running with another girl in chase, and sirens were very obviously approaching relatively quickly. Shit!
Slamming the board down below him, Markus motioned the wheels to turn -- his power worked faster that way -- and in a second he managed to shoulder Henri from the ground and urge her on the now lengthened board. He once again escaped out into the night, taking a moment to consider where to go. A part of him urged to follow the boy and the two other Nemesis members, but then he scrapped that idea upon the notion of having to deal with three Alters. Even if he didn't have that lazy part that disapproved strongly, he knew that it was impossible to survive an encounter with so many while keeping his fallen comrade alive. With that, Markus sped up and over the nearby building's wall, traveling quickly and soundlessly upon the rooftops and to Regen Corporation.

Aslan moved out of the way as Rose ran after the boy, and the other boy took the woman out of the building. He was beginning to feel tired from using his sword so much, but it was for good reason...and it was kind of fun. Sirens were beginning to approach, which was never good. Aslan pulled out his sword, and tapped the wall of the office building. Flames formed on the wall, and were spreading quickly. Better to destroy evidence than anything. Aslan put the sword in its sheath, and ran out of the building. He ran in pursuit of Matt, noticing Rose on the top of the buildings. When she eventually forced the boy to a halt, Aslan stood behind, standing quietly.
This night has been more interesting than I thought.

Henri gladly followed Markus onto the board- there wasn't a part of her that wanted to deal with the cops, and at any rate she didn't feel she had the energy to escape on her own. As she did though, she made sure to scoop up the hat the girl had left behind. ~Trophy, much?~ She thought with the little smirk she could manage. "What happened to you back there?" She muttered, placing a hand on his shoulder with little trust in her own balance on the board. She didn't know Markus personally, but she was aware of his work for Aegis, which was good enough reason to trust him in getting her out of there.

He weaved through the alleyways for awhile, fortunately not encountering anyone, and just as he was about to exit onto a sidewalk Rose seemed to fall out of the sky before him. He stopped in his tracks, jumping a little. "... Oh, hello." He greeted quietly in his normal cheerful tone. Behind you. Warned his dark passenger. Matt glanced back, peering up at the caped Alter who had also apparently followed. He gave a small wave. Turning back to Rose, he tilted his head slightly. "Talk..?" He parroted, as if he had no idea what the word meant. But his features lit up at the offer of food. "Milkshake..." He almost whispered, more to himself than anyone. He couldn't remember the last time he had had a milkshake. "Yes." He agreed, enthusiastically but with no more volume than usual.

Great...another Alter with the mind of a five year old. Oh well perhaps I am judging too critically. Isaac thought. He then noticed the girl's weapon, a black pistol. He then noticed that other than Weiss, who didn't have an Alter, that he was the only one present at these meetings as a normal person. Because of this, Cain is rarely seen by the other members of Aegis, and any who have faced him never live to tell about it, so it gives Cain and air of mystery about. Isaac smirked at the thought, and he knew Cain loved playing the mystery man.
"So, you have found another Alter. Good work Drifter." Weiss said. His eyes turned to the girl. "I welcome you to Aegis. You may call me Weiss. Allow me to explain what we do here at Aegis. Isaac, will you do the honors?" Weiss asked. Isaac stood up.
"It is our purpose, as people with Alters, to clean up the scum trying to destroy the world, and to that end, we fight. Every day, or should I say night in most cases, we search the city for those, who would do this world harm, Nemesis. Now, I can tell you are an Alter who doesn't care about the well being of others, so let me say this. Recently, Nemesis has taken control of all of the gangs in this city, and with that, they control the underground. So here is my proposal: Join us, and you can have your fill eliminating these corrupt gangs. If you are going to kill, wouldn't it be better for it to have a purpose? That is all I have to say." When he finished talking Isaac sat down.
'Heh, always the spectacular linguist, eh?' Cain chimed in his head.
'Sometimes problems can be solved with words, something you should learn.' Isaac commented.
'We'll see, kid.'
"Well said, Isaac. Now then miss, what do you say? Will you help us here at Aegis make the world a better place?" Weiss asked.

He sighed and poured himself a coffee, he was working late shift again tonight and thus needed the caffeine to keep him awake. He looked towards the clock upon the wall which read half past twelve and he sighed as he looked over his files once more before picking up a bag and heading home. He walked along the dark street and came up outside his house. He unlocked the door and threw it open. He sighed and threw his bag down the hall and up against the wall.
He came up to his bed and slumped down into it. He moved his head into the pillow and screamed into it before rolling over and facing the roof, willing sleep to come and take him away from all this, though he couldn't seem to fall to sleep and thus he lay there, awake, staring at the roof. He didn't get it, it made no sense to him, he, the worlds best investigator could find no pattern. He had finally met his match though he refused to admit it. He sighed once more and ever so slowly fell to sleep.
His alter would take over whilst he was asleep and he would move to the bedroom door, opening it and silently closing it behind him, carrying a knife with him. A young woman would be walking along the path, she was tall and thin with shoulder length blond hair and pail skin. He looked towards her, seeming to 'accidentally' bump into her. She dropped everything from her purse and he looked towards her.
"Let me help you with that," he said as he stood there, smiling as he did so, he bent over to pick up her stuff and put it back into her bag, picking out a few items that might be useful later on and things that might be sold later on. She smiled back at him, brushing her hair from her face.
"Thank you," she said to him gratefully as she stood there and he smiled warmly at this statement as he looked back to her, putting several things into his pockets. As she stood there, she held out her hand before she decided to continue. "My name is Shannon," she said as she stood there, her hand extended.
He clasped it and smiled slightly at her before shaking it. "I'm Jack Darren," he said as he stood there, making the name up on the spot, before he asked, "A pleasure to meat you, hey, would you like to grab a bite to eat or something tomorrow?"
She nodded and he smirked. 'My next victim' he thought to himself as he stood there and continued to walk down the street innocently. Until that point he had to do something to keep the cops running a wild goose chase. A young man was out for a jog and he hid off to one side, covering the mans mouth before slitting his throat and putting the knife into the mans hand.
He then made it look like a suicide before he headed home and returned to bed for the night, changing back to his normal self. His alter knew that this would irritate him and that it would be all over the news by mourning which is why he did it. To draw attention to everything that was going on in this little world of his... Just like a game of chess, play the pieces right and you'll be fine, however, if you don't then you wind up screwed on a sidewalk like that man was...

"So what's your name?" she asked as they entered the old diner. "And what are you doing out on the streets like this?" As she'd hoped, it was empty save for a few tired employees. She sat down at a booth far in the back anyway and waited for an answer.

He came to a stop as they got to the diner. A small frown took hold of his lips. He had not considered they would need to go inside a restaurant to get food. He stood in front of the entrance and stared through the windows; it was empty but for a couple waitresses chatting at the counter with the cooks. But even without patrons, it felt crowded, the spaces between tables and booths narrow. And it was very well lit, and the windows were large, as if it was all one big display case. His pulse sped up a little.
Distracted by his growing anxiety, he completely missed Rose's second question. The boy didn't move from the sidewalk as his companions strode inside.

"So, if I join you guys, I get to kill humans? Actual human beings? As long as they are in gangs working with these Nemesis people?" she asked hopefully. Kiiya eyes sparkled with hope and her mind was filled with a sweet fog. It was dampened though because she didn't know if they would force her to kill people like her. "Also," she began with a slight tremor in her voice, "do I have to kill other Alters?"
Her heart thudded painfully then, trying to refuse the idea of killing her own kind. Humans were nothing. They were viscious and evil and did very disgusting things to one another. The wosrt of the worst deserved to die, they were more worthless than innocent humans. But Alters? Alters just like her going through the same things as her; could she kill them as well? Kiiya shook her head to dispell the thoughts, her ponytails swinging. She wouldn't think of that until she had too.

Rose walked back outside. "What's going on?" she asked Aslan, who couldn't provide an answer. Rose smiled at Matt and grabbed his shoulder, hoping to get his attention back on her. "We don't have to go in. Look, I just wanted to make sure you were okay, and also ask you if you've ever heard of an organization called Nemesis. I can tell you have an Alter inside you, and, if you couldn't tell from the floating bricks, I happen to be one as well. It has a place for people like us- and being alligned with us will help keep you a little safer from assholes like that woman who was harassing you, ya know? Having a team behind you and whatnot. You seem... well... alone out here."
The waitress tapped on the glass door behind them. Rose took the food, paid, and shooed her away. Handing him the bag full of food and his milkshake she awaited a response.

For a moment, Markus remained silent as he sifted through his memory of the unfortunate incident that had kept him out cold for a good while. Once in a while, he'd get blurred, but that was only before Darius had found out who he was. And even then, it never lasted quite as long. The thought of fading scared him a bit, and all he could do was hope that it wouldn't happen again.
"No idea. It's probably nothing."
It was then that he noticed the scenery passing somewhat slowly, prompting the wonder of how far Regen still was. The meeting time was fast approaching, though some alters never really went there on time. Markus stopped the board for a couple seconds and let it ascend into the sky, the height of, when you'd look down, normal people were barely distinct.
"Uhm, hold on. I'll get us the Aegis in a second. You probably shouldn't look down."
Without waiting for an answer, his right hand instantaneously carved a 'path' through the city to where Regen should be. The whistle of high-speed wind filled where his hand had been, the distance and proportions exact. In the meantime, the wheels under then had completely stopped, and all but themselves could hear and see where they were. Light wasn't so terribly hard to reflect. He held on to Henri's wrist, hoping that she wouldn't fall through the ride he'd created.
With all's said and done, Markus whipped through the tunnel, the speed probably exceeding a roller coaster's but the ride all the same, and in less than ten seconds landed with a feather's touch in front of Regen headquarters. He stepped off and turned to help Henri, if she indeed needed it.
((Sorry this took awhile! >.< Been busy with summer school))

'So...I was right. All she is interested in is killing humans. So simple...' Isaac thought. However, her reaction to having to kill Alters was intriguing. She doesn't want to kill Alters? But what if one wants to kill her? I wonder if she can do it? No matter.' "Yes, if you choose to work with us, you can eliminate all those who have sided with Nemesis."
"Now now Isaac, we at Aegis do not condone needless killing." Weiss said in a chastising sort of way. Isaac sighed.
"They have chosen their side, and there is nothing we can do for them. If they get in our way, we have little choice." Isaac then turned his glance to Kiiya. "It appears you have a quilty conscience against killing other Alter's. However, no matter what side you choose you will have to kill Alters. That is just the way this battle works...Both sides are too stubborn to listen to each other..."
"Isaac! You know what we do is necessary!" Weiss said with a raised voice. Isaac gave a small sigh, then shot a cold glance at Kiiya.
"You shouldn't have to worry about it...You will probably not have to kill any Alters at all. No, that's something that Cain perfers to do, so just leave it to him..." Isaac said in a low voice. Weiss gave a low grunt.
"You two shouldn't try to take everything on your own. We should all work together." He said.
"That won't be necessary. Besides, if we do this then no one will have to feel anything about murdering their fellow Alters. It all works out in the end." Isaac then gave a final look of determination twords the girl. "Now then, will you join us in this struggle? I apologize for rushing you, but time is something I don't like to waste."

He stared at Rose blankly while she gave her little speech. He politely waited for her to finish before speaking. "I am Nemesis," he said bluntly, without even a matter-of-fact attitude. "And I was safe." He added cheerfully about his situation with the white-haired woman. "I was." It was lacking a reassuring tone, as if he was just echoing himself. But he then threw in a small smile seemingly to attempt to reassure her.
When he saw the waitress come to the door, he began bouncing on his heels excitedly, which looked quite childish coming from a 17-year-old. The chains at his side jingled as he bounced. Finally Rose handed him the bag and shake and he took them eagerly, promptly scurrying down the street a little ways before turning into an alleyway. He leaned against the wall there and sat on the ground with his food, anticipating the others would follow after him. He opened the bag very carefully, as if it was a bomb he had to dissect without setting off, removing the wrapped burger to unwrap it and begin nibbling on it.

Still, one had to wonder where they had come from. He moved out of the house, on his usual route and stopped by the diner. He moved inside and brought a coffee before taking a seat and looking around before sipping his coffee, this place seemed to be full of unusual people. However, this didn't bother him as much as it intrigued him. Everybody here was a suspect in his mind, everybody around him was a suspect. Perhaps he could find answers by interrogating somebody.
He sighed before heading off to the station, a phone rang and several people seemed to be calling family members and friends of the person who was murdered last night, however, he knew none of this. He looked towards one of the operatives under him. "What the hell is going on?" he asked as he stood there to which the man just flicked on the news which had something about another murder taking place last night.
He sighed and cursed as he stood there. This man seemed to be creating havoc throughout the streets of this city, trying to spread the word of his existence throughout the reaches of this city. He clenched the pencil he was holding so hard that it snapped and he muttered a curse under his breath. However, the one thing that he didn't seem to realize was that he was the one doing all this...
