Since Hazel already grabbed Keith's arm, she decided to let him step on her shoulders to get up easier. Perla accepted her hand but also used the other to help herself climb up. Perla was grateful that Hazel helped them, but she also knew that it could've risked both of them. If it were that easy, Perla would've helped Keith up a while ago.

Perla ignored the two of them bickering as she turned to Keith.

Hey, how are you holding up?

Perla said in her slight Spanish accent. She put her thumbs up, then her thumbs down curiously.

Keith sits up carefully, putting a hand on the ground to push himself up, as his eyes adjust again. He looks at Perla and forces his other hand up, thumb weakly upright. He wipes his forehead slowly, the blood dripping down onto his clothes.

So stupid.

He feels something in his mouth and moves his tongue around it, turning his head and spitting a bloody tooth on to the ground. Shifting his legs and pushing himself up, a sharp pain shoots through his right leg and forces him back to his knees. He tries again but it ends with the same result, a sharp pain and him struggling to stand. He wipes the blood dripping down his face and stops, breathing slowly before trying again.

Grant paid close attention when Keith was attempting to stand.

"Where's the pain? Is it in your leg or more in your ankle? Just point." He asked Keith.

He turned to Perla. He had heard her speak, she sounded like she was from Spain or something. "Y tú, ¿te sientes herido en cualquier lugar?" Growing up in the American southwest, Grant had taken Spanish classes in school. He practiced it more when he found he could get a bonus at work for being bilingual. It even came in handy during some runs.

When Keith stood up, Perla could tell something was wrong. When he falls back down to his knees, Perla quickly supports his body by putting his arm over her shoulders and holding his chest up. Perla hears Spanish and looks over at Grant. She chuckles slightly before responding with a smile.

Hablas Español?

She chuckled again and responded in English.

Well, before I even got on the raft, I hurt my ankle trying to swim. It still hurts, and I got some scratches from falling... But we have to worry about Keith more in this case, please don't worry about me.

Perla stood up, trying to help Keith onto his feet.

Can you stand?

Perla asked in her Spanish accent.

He shakes his head and puts his weight on his left leg, managing to balance with the help of Perla. He looks at Grant and points all over his leg, he couldn't pinpoint where the pain was coming from. He smiles and nods at them both.

He breathes slowly, and pulls himself away from Perla. He points his right foot down and keeps his balance with the tips of his toes, but the pain hits him again and he grabs on to Perla's shoulder tightly. He gives an apologetic look to Perla and wipes his forehead, looking back over the cliff, it seemed only a short distance to the ledge but he knew it was more. He looked in the direction he thought the beach was, slightly disappointed he didn't find shelter.

"Here, sit down for a minute." Grant said, guiding Keith to the ground. He took the dry sticks he now had and used them to make a makeshift splint around Keith's leg; wrapping it tightly in gauze to keep it together.

"It ain't perfect, but it's what we got for now. Your leg isn't broken so it should do." He turned to Perla, "As for your ankle, your probably just gonna have to try and take it kinda easy. Just don't put too much weight on it. If it starts hurting more than before you might have some ligament damage, so just tell me if that happens."

Perla smiles back at Keith and carefully watches him as he pulls away. Perla was surprised when Keith quickly grabbed onto her again. Perla helped him sit down, following Grant's instructions. When Grant turned to Perla and told her how her condition was, she nodded listening attentively.

Alright. I'll be careful.

Perla looked around and scratched the back of her head.

Shouldn't we head back to the beach? I have a horrible sense of direction, so maybe you could lead the way.

Perla said, slightly embarrassed, in her Spanish accent as she chuckled.

Keith limped back to the beach with Grant's help with Perla in tow. His feet hit sand and he pushes himself away from Grant, walking for a bit unaided. Once he felt as comfortable as he could, he decides to see where the others were, almost falling into a hole someone had dug. He sees they were handing out water but he wasn't that thirsty. He began collecting sticks and marking trees to make shelter, with his keys.

She could see that they had small amounts of food. Mimi grabbed her rusty knife and creeped off towards the beach. She then sprang out and grabbed the nearest person and pushed her knife to their neck.
