MOMO and VARTHUR
Written by Valkyrieknight and Victorant collaboratively

Momo groaned as she lifted her head off what felt like a smooth wooden surface rubbing against her cheek. The world around her was a blur, literally as her hand searched the surface she had fallen asleep against for her contact case. After plopping each contact in her eye as a usual routine though she much preferred eyeglasses, she turned in her seat with her arm relaxing against the top of it remembering where she was; not her room but a room that was temporarily hers and Seraā€™s as well. She sighed as last night was being recollected in her mind like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, a clearer image being presented before her as time went by. There was a party.. Momo recalled, using her fingers to keep track of how much she remembered. It was my first party.. and.. Sera and some of the others were drinking.. so I stayed up a little to make sure she was okay. Two of her fingers on her right hand were out, to count for two events she recalled. Iā€™m missing something.. she noticed. Surely that couldnā€™t have been all that happened last night. She combed her slender fingers through her pink locks, glancing once at the vanity mirror before turning away almost in disgust. She was a mess, an utter mess and in her view it wasnā€™t proper at all. Momo got up and started searching her bags for a change of clothes. She had apparently fallen asleep before managing to get changed in her pyjamas but no matter, they were all going home today. The school trip had reached an end. Just as she was looking up at the clock ticking on the wall above her, she recalled another detail of last night. ā€œOh thatā€™s right!ā€ she fist pumped the air in front of her chest glad she hadnā€™t forgotten. ā€œSurfing with Bishop this morning.. good thing itā€™s still early..ā€ she muttered, re-searching her bag for her other swimsuit. Unfortunately it would be the dreaded two piece but what else could she do? It wouldnā€™t be right to reuse the one she had used yesterday. Everyone would know!

Meanwhileā€¦

Varthur yawned and rotated his arms to exercise his stiff shoulders a moment before rubbing his eyes. He blinked a few times having awoken from a deep sleep before turning his gaze instinctively towards where the window was located as the sun beamed proudly through the curtains. ā€œUgh so bright..ā€ he complained, shielding half his face with his hand before turning to the side to see Silas sleeping like a baby in the other bed. He had an aching headache, that much was sure but for now he was lost and oblivious to the events of last night. He shifted his weight off the bed and made his way for the bathroom finding bits of sand in his clothes and in his hair. ā€œItā€™s like I rolled around in the sand many times..ā€ he shook his head, dusting off his shorts and messing his hair. ā€œGuess Iā€™ll take a shower..ā€ he muttered to himself, returning to the bedroom and hastily unzipping his bag. Back at home in the mansion, he never would have allowed himself to be in so much disarray. The sand would be a hassle for the maids to clean and he knew cleaning such a big place wasnā€™t an easy task. He tossed a clean red shirt over his shoulder before marching back to the bathroom in high spirits knowing they were going home and no more hiding from bikini women and blushing like an idiotā€¦ Wait a second.. Varthur froze in his steps as soon as he entered the bathroom, attempting to gather his thoughts. He was forgetting something, something very important.

ā€œWE KISSED?!ā€ Momo and Varthur screamed in horror and outrage at coincidentally the same time of 6:00am in the morning.
Varthur dropped to his knees, covering his face in shame at the memory. ā€œSheā€™s going to kill me..ā€ he muttered hopelessly as his head hit the tiled floor in silent surrender.
ā€œIā€™m going to kill him!ā€ Momo declared, already wearing her two piece swimsuit and very much ready to storm the beach sand with boundless energy as if nothing was holding her back from achieving her goal.

Kaoru

Kaoru woke up abruptly, gasping out. He sat up, looking around himself quickly. He was in a state of panic, not exactly sure how he'd gotten here. He'd woken up...in the same room as Bishop? How'd this happen? I wonder where Varthur is.. What time is it? He wasn't exactly sure.. but he decided to not ask anymore questions about the current day. Instead, he decided to focus on the bigger picture. Like remembering the previous night. What the hell happened? He rubbed his eyes which were tense and painful. He didn't drink too much, but he didn't remember much of the night either. I guess I'm a lightweight after all. He accepted it bitterly before looking over to the blonde once his anxiety simmered down a few notches. Who is he again? He found himself tilting his messy blue head to the right out of curiosity. He is still asleep? When did he go to bed? Kaoru touched his hair absentmindedly, then he realized he probably looked like a young, blue Einstein. Only a lot shorter and a lot less of a basket-case. He stretched out as far as he could, growing irritated at his muscles resembling stiff concrete. He let out a yawn which was soon followed by a sharp 'tch' sound when he heard and felt numerous bones pop. More than he could count in a brief instant. "Ow.." he muttered to himself. His eyes turned to the window. It was daylight already. Hmm.. I should probably wake him up too.. He stood, looking over to the blonde again. Blonde.. He thought to himself. Then it hit him like a brick wall. It only took a moment before Kaoru found himself suddenly flailing his limbs, causing him to crash into the floor as he gained a small portion of recollection of the night before.

- Flashback -

Kaoru had been sitting on the sand content with watching the events play out before his eyes.. Sure part of him wanted to kiss Momo, or at least another cute girl if that was out of the question. Though he knew it would probably only scare her, and his luck wasn't that great anyhow. Charm wouldn't work on the bottle, and he wasn't looking forward to spinning if it was going to land on the brunette girl or her look-alike. He wasn't too impressed by cocky girls. He looked over to Momo, he felt bad for her actually.. she'd already had to kiss two guys she didn't seem to be fond of.. his own friend (Varthur) and the blonde who'd been challenging him all night. (Silas) Kaoru laughed silently to himself. He didn't want to kiss a girl without her consent anyway. He was happy the bottle hadn't landed on him.. but then he was told to spin it because everyone else had gone already. He brushed blue hair out of his face, letting out an indifferent huff of air, "Sure, I guess. " Then he gave the bottle a rough twirl. Only for it to spin several unnecessary times. He frowned a bit and waited for his fate. As long as it's not- and by the end..it landed on the boy's faaaavorite blonde (Silas). That cocky blonde guy?!Oh hell no! I am not kissing a guy! I am not going to do this! He felt his eye twitch, and his body tense up. He just stared for a split second. Before he even realized it he'd attempted to run. His feet moved for him. He stumbled at first, and his head felt dizzy, but he had to at least try. He didn't want that reputation..

- End flashback -

What the hell!?! Thankfully, much to his own relief, he didn't have the memory as to the events after that. Though contrary wise, it scared the hell out of him to not know what happened between that point and returning to the cabin. Kaoru was sure it would hit him eventually.. but the other half of him dreaded remembering. He felt his face was hotter than before, a surefire sign he was blushing, and he actually felt like crying. He'd escaped his last school because of the bullying of him being bisexual. That was the last thing he'd wanted from his first start at making friends at his new school. I need to remember.. what exactly happened between me and that guy.. I know I didn't get away.. cause I somewhat remember leaving when everyone else did.. so I guess we did kiss after I ran.. He looked to the floor, digging his nails into the wooden boards as hard as he could. He wasn't angry, more scared to be quite honest. He was the smallest guy there. Being bisexual didn't make it any easier when you were a male and scrawny. Sure he could take some of the guys at school, but if the sportier types wanted to kick his ass, he was already well aware he was in for a rough beating. He couldn't fight more than one of them. Then he jerked his head up when he remembered he wasn't alone. Shit! Did I wake up that gamer guy? I remember he said something about a video game..which one was it...Black ops?

Bishop Trander

Bishop sighed when his cellphone alarm went off. He rolled over, and picked up his phone and shut it off sitting up. With a yawn, and swung his feet over the bed and stood up wearing nothing but his boxers with the design of the British flag on it. He didn't even realize that Kaoru was in the room with him!! "Well.... The surf should be right by now." He had gotten up much earlier right when the sun was rising to see where the surf was. He managed to get a 47 minute nap in waiting for it before he would go out and surf for the last time. Leaning back and stretching his arms out, Bishop let a few bones in his shoulder pop then sighed happily rolling his shoulders. He went to his already half packed bag and grabbed his trunks walking to the bathroom starting to tug on his boxers. But something blue caught his eye. Half his body blocked off by the door frame, he leaned back and blinked seeing Kaoru and suddenly blushed a deep red. He immediately pulled his boxers back up, jumping behind the door. "W-When did you get in here!?!?!?!" He stared at the short kid, as he sat in bed looking back at him leaving the blonde extremely embarrassed. <How much did he see!?> Bishop wasn't homophobic in the least, but he thought he was by himself and.... It was just always embarrassing when you find out someone was watching you when you thought you were alone.

Bishop would duck into the bathroom and change, then come out in his swim trunks putting his boxers in his bag. He stood there kinda awkwardly, and walked to his surfboard grabbing it. "Uhhh.... Don't worry about it. I should've paid more attention around me. You're Kaoru right?" He reflected on the day before, meeting the kid first with Varthur and Miami.... That thought kinda saddened him, seeing as he hadn't seen her since the two parted ways. He hoped she was alright, getting worried for the first friend he made here. He shook those thoughts off, and grabbed his board wax and some sunscreen. "I'm gonna surf for a bit... Feel free to join me down at the beach." With a smile and nod, he took off and walked barefoot through the cabins and out to the sand. He watched a black haired girl stand at the water's edge (Devone) and wondered who she was. Though he had a sneaking suspicion about who it was. Bishop sat down quietly after laying his towel out and began to wax his board patently. When he was satisfied, he strapped the velcro collar on his ankle and hefted his board under his arm and walked out to the water with a gentle smile. The ocean always calmed him, being in water in general did that actually.

Bishop didn't look back behind him, and paddled out over the swells diving under a break. He gasped for air when he came up, and smiled that cool nice water washing over his body. Bishop continued out, until he was passed the break and sat up straddling his board looking over the scene before him. His smile grew in size, so far the only thing in his view was the beach and Devone standing there. He noticed that she seemed content with being alone, so decided it would be best to not bother her and surf not in her direction. Laying back Down, Bishop paddled towards shore and would increase his speed to pick up a wave. When the swell formed, he stood up and laughed softly as the water propelled him forward as he zig zagged, and cut across the water quickly. The junior cut towards shore as the wave broke, and his moment stopped but eventually he got to where he could touch his feet on the ground. He looked over to the dark haired senior (Devone) still smiling, just to see if she was watching him. He would be surprised if she was, not that he was trying to show off or anything but the girl (Devone) seemed to dislike him more with each visit they had which confused Bishop. Sure anyone might be a bit hurt that he lost contact with her, but that was unintentional. So, Bishop just paddled back out to catch more waves and mind his own business. All the while, he wondered if Sera and Momo would actually show up. Or if they would blow him off like last time.

Sera

Momo had said something about her first kiss but it seemed like she didn't really want to talk about it. Not that Sera blamed her, last nights game was not a good way to lose a first kiss, then again there was no love or passion in either of her kisses so she would still be surprised when it really happened for the first time, when that day came she would completely forget about both Varthur and Silas. She thought about voicing her opinion but decided to just let it go and let her forget about it as soon as possible, because while it was Sera's desire to press her lips up against Silas' it was surely not Momo's. She had gotten to kiss some girls the night before though and that was always fun, especially her kiss with Akira as she recalled it in a bit more detail. At one point they had gone farther than Sera expected not expecting the girl to use a bit of tongue. Sera hadn't backed down and had finally ended up just pushing the girl back onto the sand and going back with even more intensity. She had ended it pretty quickly after that, not wanting to give everyone too much of a show but she had gotten quite caught up in it at one point, even finding it slightly enjoyable. She would have to use that to mess with the girl if she could, see if the sober Akira was as okay with using tongue as her drunk self. Sure she had said she wouldn't provoke her but this was more for her personal fun than anything to do with a rivalry.

Momo's enthusiasm kept her mind from wandering for long, the energetic girl ready to run out onto the beach. "Alright, just give me a minute, I need to toss on a new swimsuit." She slipped into the bathroom, not even bothering to close the door, and slipped out of her current clothing and into the new revealing black bikini. She looked in the mirror for a moment to adjust it but didn't dally too long before exiting the bathroom and walking over to the door next to her friend, "I'm ready now, let's go ride a few waves." With a small smile she opened up the door and slipped past Momo, letting her eyes adjust to the light before turning around to look at Momo, "My hangover isn't as bad as I thought." She gave a cheerful smile before spinning back around and leading the way towards the beach, she wanted to make sure they didn't keep Bishop waiting and Momo seemed pretty eager as well, and with fun just around the corner she was hustling a bit. Even in the early morning she was getting looks from people on the beach, some looks of jealousy, some looks of intrigue, and others of the usual kind from guys who didn't even try to hide their stares. She didn't mind them, it was what happened when she wore a bikini and especially the type she was currently wearing, she didn't even hesitate to make her way on the beach and search for Bishop with Momo.

It wasn't hard to find Bishop, he was out on a wave riding it in to shore by the time Sera spotted him and she walked over to the edge of the water near him. "Hey there, you look to be in top for even after last night, good to see." It was a bit surprising after how intoxicated he had become but it was a good thing, if he could bounce back so quickly it would be a good day and an impressive feat. "Ready to give us a few lessons teach?" She asked soon after, putting on a cute look and kicking the sand with her foot as if shy before falling back into her usual self and turning to Momo to wave her over. She knew they would have to rent some boards but Momo would need to hear some basics before they should go get her a board. She let her attention fall to the water as she waited for Momo to get over to them and Bishop to answer. The waves looked alright, not as nice as back home but not bad either, it would be great for a beginner like Momo and on such soft waves she would be able to show off a tiny bit, not as good as Bishop but still, it would be interesting.

"Tch" Devone mumbled annoyingly to herself as the junior Bishop was seen in view surfing and having one hell of a time on the waves. I almost wish I could be as naive as you and the other pigeons..sickening. She thought, leaning back and flicking her hair away from her eyes to gaze up at the blue sky, not a cloud in sight. It was a beautiful scene, no doubt about that but she was deep down, feeling quite miserable about things. With that and her thoughts on pigeons filling her up with outrageous disgust, Devone stood up not sparing the kid (Bishop) a second glance prepared to make her way to some well wanted breakfast. Maybe just the lack of food in her stomach was making her cranky? If only. As she collected herself, putting on her sandals again to head for somewhere delicious enough for her presence, two more juniors passed her by on the beach (Momo and Sera) heading towards where she last saw Bishop. "Tch.." she mumbled again refusing to look back at the happy and naive junior gang. She obviously didn't belong with such a.. delightful bunch.

After a fair walk towards town where more people could be spotted in the busy morning streets, Devone stretched her arms lazily behind her head yet somehow managing to pull off such an act in the manner of a true beauty queen. She just had that luxury to look good doing almost anything which probably annoyed the heck out of Akira, yet unknowingly Akira annoyed the heck out of her for another envious reason that Devone would never admit to, not even to herself. The more she thought about last night, she recalled her observations of her and Sera being.. alike in some ways. Sera also had that luxury and beauty that Devone had but in a more exotic way considering they were in Japan. Perhaps Sera had that advantage but Devone shrugged it away. She wasn't threatened by Sera's looks, in fact it would come in handy against Akira. Now that Akira girl had something to be threatened by in the pursuit of Silas. Devone chuckled to herself, winking flirtatiously at a group of male students for fun even though she had no intention of getting close to them. She just liked that feeling of being in control and being free despite not being completely naive like most.

"Ah.." Devone stopped in front of a store window almost twitching at the poor sense of fashion that the small miserable beach side town had to offer. What a sad world, might as well go out in your underwear with that lack of composure and femininity. Do girls toss themselves and their dignity out the window just for attention? With that thought entering her mind, she smirked holding back a cackle. Last night had been 'wild' indeed. Devone had watched as some of her peers went wild with alcohol.. Varthur.. particularly her prey Akira. That girl had really.. outdone herself in more ways than one. All those events would surely not be forgotten and remedied so quickly. Walking on with more positive thoughts in mind flash backing to last night, it was really hard to find a decent place to sit down and eat breakfast in. It appeared the town wasn't as wealthy and refined as Devone had been accustomed to all her life and she would just have to settle or starve her way back to school. Heaving an exaggerated sigh at the poor choices, she stopped again at another window- only this time for a different reason besides fashion. It was a family style restaurant and she could easily spot Kei standing out somehow from the other guests and seated inside with tea, just starting to dig into his breakfast yet in a gloomy state.

Closing her eyes deciding to in a sense 'seize the day', she dusted her hand against the denim of her shorts before reaching out and twisting the door knob, the bell above the door ringing to signal her entrance. Putting on her usual smile for show, she was gestured by one of the waiters towards a vacant table opposite of Kei's and sat herself down where she was directed as if she hadn't seen Kei there in the first place. Casually, Devone crossed her legs and started scanning her finger through the menu items. Honestly, everything they had available was so plain and uninteresting to her yet Devone kept on her pleasant smile as if this restaurant was the best place in the world.. or that she was just easily satisfied because she was starving. Devone didn't know if Kei had seen her enter or had noticed her sitting there, particularly as he wasn't appearing in a good mood in the first place and may not want to be bothered but she was going to play her cards anyway, provide an opening for conversation if he was up for it. She wasn't going to confront him all the time... that would just make things too easy. There was room for time on her side.

Kaoru

Kaoru watched as the other boy went through the daily motions of waking up. He blinked a bit, then it hit him. The other boy (Bishop) didn't realize that he was even sitting there! He felt himself twitch a bit, he couldn't help but feel a little insulted and quite aggravated with him. Is he seriously this thick? I'm sitting right here! I've been making so much noise! Ugh! Foreigners.. Kaoru quickly cooled down, something he was rather famous for doing. He was.. easily distracted from his anger after all. He found himself flushed as well, running his hand through his hair nervously. "I.. really don't know to be honest about it." He replied back with a sheepish grin. He really didn't remember walking back or even laying down. He wouldn't have been surprised if he'd woke up on the ground next to what was left of the fire last night. He turned his gaze. Was it that obvious he was bisexual? He thought he kept it under wraps pretty well.. He wasn't even checking the guy out! Kaoru raised his hands slowly to begin his explanation, "Look man, I'm sorry. I didn't realize either. I just woke up too and I was surprised I wasn't alone as well." He was nervous, it could be told in his tone, but he was also sure of himself. It wasn't like he was lying after all. He was fighting tooth and nail to keep himself from stuttering. It wasn't like him to be nervous, but after the previous night he was scared to death that someone would figure out his darkest secret. That all his running was for nothing. He realized that his first impressions weren't going very well so far, but it was just a matter of situation and location that was hindering him. Well this is going not near as smooth as I originally planned.

Kaoru dropped his head when the other male slipped away into the bathroom. I'm really screwing up royaly. He probably thinks I'm some kind of creep. Oh well! Fake it til you make it! He jolted when he heard his name addressed, blue eyes switching back up to the taller male, "Yeah, that's me." He grinned with a lot more confidence. Kaoru waved, shaking his head quickly, "I want to make sure I find the bus.. I'm still not used to it here." He smiled weakly, "Thanks though...Bishop?" and Kaoru stood, beginning to pack what little of his belongings were out of his bag and he tugged it out of the cabin. Though it was definitely a bad idea. As soon as he broke through to daylight he winced as it shined into his eyes, causing them to squint shut almost instantly. It was a lot brighter than he was ready for. For some reason he wasn't sure about, it made his eyes hurt. He didn't realize it yet, but this was his first hangover. Highschool. Loving it. He thought to himself sarcastically, then frowned a bit. Not. He walked around the beach, carrying his bag along over his shoulder. He was serious. He was completely afraid to get lost. He didn't have a senior with him this time. He had no reassurance that he'd succeed on his own in finding his way back to the bus. He wasn't sure which people liked him and who didn't after the night's events so asking one of the other students was definitely out of the question. He didn't feel like fighting anyone, so he wasn't going to risk conflict. He stopped walking for a moment and frowned to himself. Kaoru, you're being ridiculous! Man up already! Out of nowhere Kaoru slapped himself across the face, hard. "Get over it." He snapped under his breath. He grinned to himself and his confidence returned after snapping himself back to his senses. He strolled up to the first person he could find, a sea-side store owner and asked for directions. Luckily they knew where he was talking about and he began his journey. He had a little time to enjoy the view, but he knew he needed to at least get in the general area of the spot. That way he could relax and just wait until everyone else began to make their way to the bus, he could easily follow in suit. Until then, he laid down on the sand, staring up at the sky. The beach, it's pretty. I like it.

MOMO

"Alright, just give me a minute, I need to toss on a new swimsuit." Momo stopped marching her way to the door, turning around slightly as Sera slipped away to the bathroom. ā€œOkies..ā€ Momo nodded obediently, patting the top of her pink head as she waited for Sera to be done. She leaned against the wall by the door, pure focus on her index fingers as they impatiently poked each other while the clock continued ticking and the sound echoed in her ears. She wasnā€™t sure if time was passing by slowly or if Sera was taking longer than she would anticipate getting dressed would take. Either way, the excitement of hitting the beach and learning something new took hold as Momo lifted her back off the wall to call out for her friend just to check things were alright. Who knows, maybe she needs help adjusting something? Momo thought up excuses to hurry her friend as she started making her way back through the cabin. ā€œSeraaaa!ā€ she exclaimed as she rounded a corner, her fingers barely clasping the edge of the wall as her head peeked out to look in both directions of the cabinā€™s interior just enough for her to get a glimpse of her friend changing inside the bathroom. ā€œMeep..ā€ Momoā€™s head stopped peeking out to hide again behind the wall as if nothing had happened. She didnā€™t expect Sera to leave the bathroom door open but then again they were both girls. It probably only bothered her because she knew Seraā€™s sexual orientation was bi plus she had witnessed her friend make out with another girl. Momoā€™s head started spinning remembering the scene and her own as she had to kiss another junior girl (Yumi) in the Spin the Bottle game as her back slid against the wall dizzy-like. Last night had been too big of a wild party for the innocent junior girl.

By the time Sera had finished, Momo was back at the front door trying to distract herself from the memories by concentrating all her mind power towards the rest of the dayā€™s activities. Hum hum hum hum~ forget yesterday, what about today! Today is gonna be GREAT! Ganbatte! Momo fist pumped the air a few times energetically while continuing to reject the occurrences of last night a place in her head. "I'm ready now, let's go ride a few waves." Momo nodded as her fists returned to peaceful open palms by her sides as both of them walked out the door to leave the cabin, greeted by rays of warm sunlight. ā€œOooh..ā€ Momo glanced up at the sky with a hearty grin. A beautiful day to learn how to surf."My hangover isn't as bad as I thought." Momo turned her head to smile back at Sera as they walked through the sand. Although the sand was naturally hindering smooth movement, Momoā€™s high spirits kept her marching along at the pace of Sera though her legs were much shorter than the other girlā€™s. It was only as they sighted Bishop that Momo turned to notice some strangers looking their way, particularly at Sera. Her friend always seemed to be attracting attention. Momo paused and watched Sera as she neared Bishop and began to talk. "Hey there, you look to be in top for even after last night, good to see." She wasnā€™t jealous but rather contemplating how lucky Sera was, her friend being able to make heads turn without batting an eyelash. Yet she picks Silas.. Momo thought worryingly before skipping over to join the two as Sera waved her over. "Ready to give us a few lessons teach?"

ā€œGood morning Bishop, hope you werenā€™t waiting long?ā€ Momo greeted before straightening out her swimsuit, finding it annoying to be wearing a two piece she wasnā€™t used to at all. Well, at least nobody she knew who was capable of making fun of her for it was around. Her floppy bunny ears birthmark was gleaming under the sun over her shoulder but for once she wasnā€™t hiding it since it had already been caught out by Silas.. and Kei her senior. She shook her head deciding to figure out the situation between Akira and Kei later. If anything , last night looked more like a verbal battle between Varthur and Akira for whatever reason that was. Or maybe itā€™s not two separate situations, but entwined somehow.. Momo shook her head again, thinking she was overthinking. Akira, Varthur and Kei were all seniors who could probably take care of themselves. Besides, Varthur was the last person on earth sheā€™d worry about being enemies and all. For now, she had a lesson and new possible life skill to focus on. ā€œIā€™m ready~ā€ Momo sang with a confident goofy grin on her face, knowing she was the only one in the group who had never had a go at surfing before.

Bishop Trander

Bishop was coasting into shore, when he spotted the lovely dark skinned girl Sera. He naturally smiled his heart elated that she had showed up, and it appeared that Momo wasn't far behind either! "Hey there, you look to be in top for even after last night, good to see." He stood in the shallow water, and stepped in raking his fingers through his hair to get some of the water out and approached the girls carrying his board under his arm. ā€œGood morning Bishop, hope you werenā€™t waiting long?ā€ "Hey goodmorning! No I didn't wait long I think, and yeah I guess I'm lucky. I had enough wits to chug nearly a liter of water before I slept." He laughed softly, Sera getting his attention being her attractive self. It was a little hard trying to remember that she was a natural flirt and think of making any moves. Just something he had to get use to. "Ready to give us a few lessons teach?" Bishop smiled again and gave them both a wink giving a thumbs up with a free hand. "You bet!! You'll be up in the waves in no time. Let's start with the basics."

Bishop would undo the velcro strap on his ankle, and took a knee flipping the board around. "These here are fins that help you guide the board. By leaning one way, and pushing your back foot the opposite is how you turn. But we'll get to that later." Bishop flipped the board over again and placed it flat on the ground. "I'm gonna teach you how to lay and stand on the board. Now, whenever you paddle out you lay flat on your stuck so go ahead and start." He would follow the same suit laying down on his imaginary board in front of her. "Alright, now paddle with your arms. You need to take deep strokes, don't worry about going too fast. People who've never surfed before have hurt their shoulders cause they're paddling incorrectly and too fast. So just remember to relax and have fun!" He laughed softly, and looked to Sera to see if she was following. Since she said that she surfed before, he didn't feel that he had to go over as much with her, but a refresher was helplful too. =#0080FF"Alright!! So a wave is coming in behind you, you paddle paddle paddle paddle. Now you need to paddle faster, since you won't surf on the break if you're not going fast enough. Once the wave picks up. You use your arms to jump up!" He demonstrated pushing his arms quickly to the ground and sprang up. "You keep your legs bent, and arms out if you need balance. So let's try it a few times!" He would repeat the steps again with Momo guiding her through it the best he could. "Now, turning... You need to remember, that which ever way you lean. Is where you will go, so lean left... You go left. It's all in the hips, and back foot." He would pause in case she didn't understand, and further explain if need be.

When he felt confident she had all the steps, he would nod and smile. "You ready to surf?" He looked to both the girls placing his hands on his hips. He was fine with either one borrowing his board, though he was a bit concerned that it might break. But that was part of the risk you took surfing anyways, so now big deal. Looking around, he noticed that Devone was gone. He wondered where she had run off to, but he didn't let it bother him too much. She seemed the kind of girl to do whatever she wanted whenever. "I'll and stick with you the entire time Momo. We can start further in shore if you like when the waves get smaller." He was just as eager as she was to do this. It had been a while since he got to spend real quality time with people he thought of as friends. This was really nice, Bishop actually needed this.

Bishop Trander

"Lucky you are. Apparently I have a bit of luck on my side, my hangover isn't as bad as it should be." Bishop was glad to hear that Sera was doing alright with her hangover. He was curious about Momo too but looking to her, she seemed to be lost in thought so he guessed that was good then. While instructing Momo she seemed super enthused and happy to learn how to surf. He smiled, remembering being exactly like that when he got his first board from his dad so many years ago. He kept teaching, smiling when she fell over but couldn't help but admire her determination. He wasn't thinking less of her, but having that kind of fire got people far. That was a quality he admired in the pink haired girl (Momo). When he asked them if they were ready to surf Momo showed her enthusiasm once again to his delight. ā€œYeahh!ā€ "I know I am, as long as Momo is ready to give it a shot I say let's do it." Bishop nodded, and rose up from his knee brushing some sand off of him.

The next thing she did was the definition of adorable. ā€œAye aye instructor Bishop.ā€ He saluted her back playfully unable to contain that bright smile that accompanied his nature. "I can run back to the room real quick and grab some cash to get another board, one suited for Momo's size and we can just trade off. I saw a place renting them down the beach a bit yesterday, what do you think?" Bishop thought for a moment, he honestly didn't plan on surfing very much more having dedicated the time they had left on teaching Momo. "That is a good idea- Before he could finish his idea, Momo had taken off towards the shore carrying his board. Which was a little big compared to her, but bigger boards were better for beginners so it was fine. Bishop smiled brightly, and laughed. ā€œItā€™sfineSera, Icanhandleitbutthanks forthethought!ā€ He turned to Sera crossing his arms. "I think she's got it, and I didn't plan on surfing much anyways. You both can just use my board, it'll save on time anyways. Some of the others are heading back towards the bus early too. But I insist, just use my board. That way you both can get back and change sooner." Bishop's smile turned kind. He was really taking a hit on this one. He had minimal sleep, hadn't eaten since yesterday either and had barely scathed off a hangover. He knew he was probably going to pass out on the bus, it would make the trip short anyways. "In the mean time..." He placed a finger to his chin as if in deep thought. "I can teach you to body suurrf." He spoke a bit more on the suggestive side, just playing with Sera's nature giving the girl a wink. It was harmless flirting at it's best. When the junior stopped goofing around, he opened his eyes and turned to Momo. "Hey wait up!! You need to strap your ankle first!!" He sprinted towards the water, and gracefully dove in swimming over to Momo.

Sera

Momo was enthusiastic to say the least and it was just another part of the small girls charm. There were few people Sera had met in her life that were so excited to try new things, it was refreshing. She herself was that way as well, though to a lesser degree, not being quite as vocal or open about it as Momo but at the same time never giving up a chance to experience something she hadn't done before. Momo's enthusiasm drove her forward without waiting as she grabbed the board and took off towards the water in an explosive display. Sera had a theory that her small stature just couldn't hold in all the energy and it came out in her random spurts of enthusiasm and it was adorable. ā€œItā€™sfineSera, Icanhandleitbutthanks forthethought!ā€ The few words she managed to speak, if the string of syllables could even be considered as such, caused Sera to crack a smile, if Momo wanted to go out on the big board that was fine, besides it would probably be for the best anyways. Not that she minded spending the money, hell that was one of the few things she didn't have to worry about, but being late because she had to return it wouldn't be a good thing. "I think she's got it, and I didn't plan on surfing much anyways. You both can just use my board, it'll save on time anyways. Some of the others are heading back towards the bus early too. But I insist, just use my board. That way you both can get back and change sooner." It was nice of Bishop to let them use his board, she had never been into surfing as much as some of her acquaintances back in England, but they treasured their boards. "Well then thanks for the generosity, Momo has been wanting to do this since you first mentioned it and I would mind getting at least one good wave in before we depart." She didn't really plan to use the board much, perhaps just a single time to have a bit of fun, that way Momo could get a good bit of time on it.

She found herself watching Momo with a small smile, she was glad to see her friend enjoying it so much, it made getting out of bed earlier than she would have liked totally worth it. "In the mean time..." Sera turned her head to look at Bishop again, her lips curling up into a smirk as he tried his hand at flirting. "I can teach you to body suurrf." Not bad, didn't think you had it in ya. "You could probably teach me a few tricks on the board but body surfing... I would eat you alive." "Hey wait up!! You need to strap your ankle first!!" Sera's smirk grew a tad wider as Bishop ran off to the water to assist Momo, the female plopping her self down into the sand and watching Bishop as he made his way over to her pink-haired companion. He was certainly cute but that could be said for pretty much every guy and girl at the school to some degree. Of course Silas and Kei seemed to break that mold, Silas being more sexy than anything else and Kei having the mysterious and chiseled thing going for him. It was rather astonishing when she thought about it, usually their were an equal amount of average mixed in with the cute and other such distinguished types, not there though, they were all attractive and the personalities seemed to not only vary but be quite unique. It was one of the reasons she was enjoying the new environment so much, an environment she had originally planned to despise on the sheer principle of it being so far away from her home and friends. Life never works out the way you plan it to. Sera brought her legs up and wrapped her arms around them, sitting her chin on top of her knees as she stared out into the ocean, waiting for Momo to make her first attempt at riding a wave and hoping it went well, even if chances were slim that she would accomplish it in one go. Regardless it would be fun to see.

Momo

Blue eyes bright and eager, Momo's toes had dipped into the cold waters without a set back. Although it was colder than she anticipated, there was no time to back out or dawdle and she had to get moving as fast as she could if she wanted to at least catch one wave and say she had at least one surfing experience before the excursion was over. It would be exciting to tell her mum all that she had learned; how to play chicken fight, going to her first party and learning spin the bottle.. well maybe not that, but surfing definitely! The chances of seeing the beach anytime soon afterwards were also minimal. She plopped the board in the water, easily positioning herself on top of it and had managed to start paddling only to be stopped midway- "Hey wait up!! You need to strap your ankle first!!" "Eeek!" The shock that she had forgotten something and was supposedly doing something wrong, lead her to panic frivolously and stop immediately. Managing to miss the wave, she leaned forward on her board so she was laying down on it lifelessly except for her forehead tapping against it to emphasise her defeat. Of course, she wasn't the type to give up and she still wasn't but she could hear her instructor swimming over to assist and that meant more time taken up all because she had forgotten the most basic thing. Wah..! Her thoughts cried childishly as she tapped her head against the board once more before sitting up and looking out towards the sun, her hand above her eyes to serve as a visor. The excursion had gone by so fast but in a way, she was looking forward to getting back to school.

She turned her body around slightly to look back at where Sera was on the beach, tilting her head. Her friend looked kind of reflective and Momo wondered if it was concerning Silas.. she hadn't seen the senior all morning. Not that i'm complaining, thank goodness! she thought, turning back the right way around to analyse her swimming outfit. She wouldn't want to be caught in a two piece in front of that pervert. Without meaning to, that thought lead to a mischievous smile across her lips and a fist pump. All that aside, she was getting revenge on him for the water dump after having won the chicken fight with Kei as her partner. Soon enough, Silas would be strutting the school hallways in a wig and sporting a school girl's uniform. Priceless. Well soon if Kei said so, she had left the matter of when to him but in due time it would happen and it was something to look forward to unless the prince of popularity by some means, backed out. Reviewing the chicken fight outcome lead her to think of Akira, the girl who had strangely come over during the game only to back out and revisit them again. It striked Momo as kind of odd though, but if she recalled correctly the senior (Akira) had claimed chicken fights weren't something she was interested in. Thinking about Akira in turn, lead her to think about the party last night as a lot had happened for that senior and the spotlight attention revolving around the fact she had killed someone and admitted to it. Just what had Akira done? It left Momo kind of curious because it wasn't every day you knew someone who had been in such a situation, then again the girl (Akira) did claim self defence. Momo pouted to herself thinking it over while waiting for Bishop. Momo had been in situations to defend herself too but never something as bad or drastic to have to resort to killing. Was Akira kidnapped? or was she threatened? And if so how? With a gun? The questions could only keep going until Momo decided to give up. Akira and her weren't close enough, though she wondered if Kei had an idea with them being fellow seniors or if he was still as clueless as herself.

Momo started stretching her arms, figuring she'd use them to paddle anyway so used the extra movement to keep the blood flowing and the adrenaline in some sense, still pumped up with excitement that she was going to get right down to it for the first time, surfing. If only her thoughts stopped there. The party made her think of Kaoru, the blue haired fellow junior who had for some unknown reason wanted to get closer to her to the point he didn't hesitate to ask if he could sit with her in front of everyone. It was mind boggling to Momo why he was curious to get to know her and was being so direct about it. She poked the left cheek of her face as she continued thinking over the events of last night but still couldn't conclude anything she had done in front of the junior to make him so curious about her. She had basically just been there at the party, being the odd one out by not drinking. "I'm hungry.." she mumbled to herself, realising she hadn't eaten breakfast being so lost in the excitement of the rest of the day but then neither had Sera. Hungry... we both gonna be hungry on the bus she pouted, staring down at her board before Bishop showed as her pout changed to the same grin of an enthusiastic student.

Bishop Trander

"Eeek!" Bishop laughed softly and swiftly swam over to Momo and pulled on the cord strap and began to tie it around her ankle. "There!! You're good to go." He would swim backwards slowly giving the girl (Momo) her space, and turned to look at Sera as well. He was curious to why she would just sit there on the beach idly and watch them. Wash she scared of the current, or the swells? No, he shook his head getting those thoughts out of his head. That was nonsense he was sure. "You just do the best, you can. I'll be in the waves with you so don't be scared." Letting Momo go and surf, he trusted her with his board, which was rather foolish really. It was the wrong board for a beginner, especially if it was their first time. Beginners always got a larger board, since it game them more room to move and manipulate the board with as well as increased buoyancy.

So Bishop just settled for body surfing keeping his eye on Momo however. He knew that they were running short on time, and after a while he just treaded water shouting advice to the girl as she went. He smiled seeing her try again and again until she got it right and was actually surfing. He finally came back onto sure, still watching his pink haired friend have the time of her life out on the waves. He would wait patiently for her to return, not in the least worried that she would break his board.

Bishop Trander

Bishop watched Momo excitedly as he body surfed. He watched her first couple attempts at surfing fail, but he wasn't that good either when he first started. But by the fourth time he smiled and cheered her on as he body surfed. Bishop eventually just settled to going back on shore next to Sera and crossed his arms with a smile. "She's a natural!!" He glanced to his new dark skinned friend (Sera) with a gentle laugh. However, his eye brows scrunched when Mr. Drone surfed into the picture almost knocking Momo off of her board. He sweat dropped watching them both surf, and slowly approached Momo when she got back to sure. He was about to speak when their P.E. teacher swooped in once again and snagged his board away. He stood there flabbergasted. ā€œItā€™s time to go to school kids, hop to it!ā€ Bishop raised a hand to object but he was ignored. ā€œCome on! The lovely Ms. Roselle is waiting!!ā€ <I can't believe that just happened....> ā€œSorryā€”Iā€™ll get your board back!ā€ Bishop looked to Momo and shut his eyes gently waving his hand side to side. He still smiled kindly to the girl. "Oh... No, don't worry about it. At least our teacher has it, and not some random stranger." Despite his words however, the pink haired junior (Momo) still chased after the house of a mane late. With a sigh Bishop, scratched the back of his head and turned to Sera.

"Catch ya on the bus I guess? We shouldn't be late." He nodded after the girl (Sera) acknowledged him, and he dashed off to his cabin. He swiftly stripped down, and took a rinse off and got out in a hurry to dry off and get dressed. He looked out the window to see a few people walking back to the bus, but it appeared that most everybody was already gone which prompted him to hurry and finish packing. Finally ready he swung the door open and took one last look around the cabin to make sure he didn't forget anything then went on his way to the bus. As he went, he waved and said hello to people he saw at the party last night. Most were on the swim team, and had talked to a little bit already. When he got to the bus, he found Momo trapped underneath his board as Mr. Drone was crying like a blubbering baby on the ground. He approached the smaller girl (Momo) and lifted the board up offering her a hand. "You ok down there? And thank you for getting my board back!!" He truly meant that statement, since it cost his parents a bit of money to get it. "You aren't going the entire trip in a swim suit are you?" He looked around to see if there was a clock anywhere for him to look at. Momo didn't seem ready to leave yet, and it appeared that students were about to board the bus. "I'll take care of this and you can go ahead and change. You don't seem like the type to walk around wearing a bikini." He smiled that kind smile of his again and headed to the bus to place his board in the bottom storage location. <I guess I can wait for somebody.... Nah, I'm actually tired. I'm gonna go sit down. Maybe save a seat for somebody.> With that, the blonde stepped onto the bus and got a window seat again just about in the middle. He sighed and plugged one earphone in using his backpack as a pillow. He looked out the window seeing who was boarding.

Sera

Sera found herself in one of those very rare kind of moments, the moment where everything seems to feel almost surreal and relaxing. It was nice and she didn't feel like moving from her spot in fear of that sensation disappearing, instead sitting on the beach and just watching Momo and Bishop from afar. Normally she wouldn't be so content to just sit but this was an exception she would be taking advantage of. Watching Momo was entertaining enough anyways, the energy the small girl had always impressing her and bringing a small smile. Of course as much as she was enjoying it happen a good thing couldn't last and as she was sitting there a couple of guys came to interrupt her, staring almost to the point of leering. She turned with a glare that could freeze a man in his tracks, she didn't mind people looking at her but they had interrupted her moment of extreme comfort. They didn't stick around long, the men seeming to lose her nerve when she didn't react like they expected. The damage had been done though and she frustratedly sighed. "Oh well..." She muttered before stretching her legs out in front of her and leaning back on her hands, still looking out at the water as Momo really began to get the hang of it. It wasn't long after that before Bishop made his way to shore and joined her, sitting next to her on the warm sand and commenting on Momo's natural ability. She nodded with a small laugh, "Yea, she may not look like it at first glance but I have noticed some natural athletic ability. She and Kei are a good Junior Senior pairing." It was interesting that Momo, who didn't appear to be but was quite skilled at physical activity, and Kei who was obviously an athletic guy had been paired up. She was going to say something else, strike up a conversation with Bishop, but the unexpectedness of Mr. Drone caused her to sit up and watch in confusion. It was the kind of thing that didn't make sense even after it happened and she could only watch as Momo ran off after the surfboard thief. "Yeah see you on the bus..." She said to Bishop, rising from the sand as she did.

Mr. Drone's odd act was as good an omen as any to signal the end of the beach excursion and Sera took it to heart, turning and heading back towards the cabin. She figured Momo was probably still trying to get the board back, laughing a bit as she thought about the girl near other people in the two piece, Momo making her apprehension to reveal her midriff to others. It was a shame she wouldn't be able to see it but the thought alone was entertaining. Sera found herself at the cabin before long and went to her and Momo's room, walking inside and went to the bathroom, going into the bathroom and stepping into the shower quickly, washing off the sand before stepping out and going back to the center of the room. She looked around for a second, there wasn't much to pack up, she just had to change and make sure she didn't leave anything behind. Sera would get Momo's stuff together as well since she was sure the girl would be in a rush when she finally made it to the room. So she got to work, going over to her bag and grabbing a new outfit, some undergarments to replace the bikini and some jeans and a t-shirt. It wasn't anything special, just a plain black t-shirt, and then she slipped on her shoes, finding it strangely uncomfortable to put on shoes again after their absence but doing so anyways. After she was dressed it took nearly no time to get her things packed up and then she moved over to do Momo's. She knew it was a tad invasive but she went into Momo's bag and picked out an outfit before putting it on the bed with a smile, she had always enjoyed picking out clothes for her sister and it felt nice to do it, to the point that she didn't realize she had done it until they were laying out. She took a deep breath and shook her head, hoping Momo didn't mind before she finished picking up Momo's things and putting them either in the bag or, with the things she would carry on her person, putting it next to the clothing. With all that done she went over and plopped down on her bed, leaning back against the pillows and just waited, not in a rush to get to the bus even if it was time to leave and wanting to wait for Momo, mainly so she could go with her to the bus and share a seat, already being a bit attached to her new friend.

Momo

Momo didn't realise how heavy the surfboard was all along until she found herself crushed underneath its weight with no competitive drive. "Pooey.." she mumbled for the second time in the day as her elbows were propped in an attempt to get up. To her surprise, the board suddenly felt a lot lighter. "You ok down there? And thank you for getting my board back!!" Momo turned her head, smiling at the familiar face and accepting Bishop's extended hand. It was again, another small gesture but she was genuinely very happy. There was a time when even small things like this seemed near impossible, but now Momo had friends and new experiences to make with them, people whom she belonged with and accepted her as she was with glasses or without. Momo patted the top of her pink head with nervous laughter after having been found in such an awkward clumsy-looking mess. "Thanks too for helping me up!" she responded cheerfully. "You aren't going the entire trip in a swim suit are you?" Momo's cheerful expression collapsed as her eyes widened after almost having forgotten. Etto..that's right! "No.. of course not.." Momo muttered sheepishly as her knees knocked together uneasily at the reminder. "I'll take care of this and you can go ahead and change. You don't seem like the type to walk around wearing a bikini." "Ehehe...thanks!" she replied, laughing nervously again as her cheeks turned a pale shade of pink before dashing away from the crowd of students towards the cabins.

As she was running, she started to wonder where her friend Sera was since the girl wasn't with Bishop. Momo had a swooping glance towards the shore as she ran past it but Sera was nowhere to be found. I hope I'm quick enough, I don't want to be left behind! she started to panic just as she reached the cabin and slammed the door behind her in a rush. At first, she didn't know what she was supposed to be doing. She had to do so many things; take a shower, get changed, pack her bags, carry her bags to the bus, find Sera-- Oh there's Sera! To Momo's relief, she entered the bedroom and saw her friend changed and ready to go, laying on her bed relaxedly. "You're...so....cool." Momo said, looking around the bedroom with pauses in between at each change to the room she noticed. For one thing, everything was packed including her own belongings and her clothes were all set out and ready for after taking her shower. It was so organised and she hated to say it, but she didn't expect that from Sera who always seemed to be such a laid back person. "Thankyou Sera!!" Momo suddenly exclaimed, arms wide open about to tackle hug her friend with joy, her energy not completely lost after the excitement of surfing. She ended up stopping midway though, "Oh wait.. we're going to be late, oh no!" Momo realised, snapping back into reality and grabbing a towel and the change of clothes to take her shower.

Her shower was literally a quick rinse and dry as she wrapped the towel around her head to stop her hair from dripping onto the tiles and hopped into the clean set of clothes Sera had prepared for her without a second thought. Momo knew Sera had good fashion sense, the girl strikingly resembling a foreign model in her own way that there was no reason to doubt as she walked out of the bathroom, towel still wrapped around her head as she searched for her brush. "Thanks for waiting for me, sorry for waiting for me--!" Momo's words easily got muddled up as she removed the towel, hurriedly brushed her hair and started to drag her bag out the door as it came time for her and Sera to leave. Momo hated being not organised, and most of all late but hopefully the bus hadn't left without them yet. She was sure that some classmates like Bishop or maybe even her senior Kei or Sera's senior Silas would notice if her and Sera didn't make it in time, that brought a bit of comfort in the hurry. When they reached the bus, Momo let out an exaggerated huff of relief as she dropped her bags in the compartment. "We made it, I'm glad.." Momo continued talking to Sera only more casually and relaxed since there was nothing left to worry about any more. The line up onto the bus was still ongoing, it was almost hard to believe the beach trip was coming to an end. It left mixed feelings for Momo, she had a lot of fun with her new friends but she also missed her mother at home dearly.

Sera

"You're...so....cool." Sera smiled gently when Momo came in and it seemed the girl had been in a rush as Sera had expected. "Why thank you, I do my best." Luckily she had taken care of getting their things together, though part of her wondered if it an even more panicked Momo would have been cuter. She wouldn't have purposefully left her side a mess but it was a thought that crossed her mind. "Oh wait.. we're going to be late, oh no!" She got a glance of it as the girl began focusing on their tardiness so it was enough, though she made sure to reassure her, "Don't worry we won't be late, besides they can wait even if we are." Sera did however give a small sulk as their hug was ended before it began, already having braced herself for the energetic response, but it quickly changed back to a smile. Momo headed to the shower and so Sera got back to her feet, grabbing her own and sitting it near the entrance, waiting for her friend to finish up. She wasn't worried about being late, she never really care about it, in fact the only reason she got places on time was because she didn't want to miss anything. In this instance it was more or less because she was with her friend, nothing could be boring or bad when around little Momo. "Thanks for waiting for me, sorry for waiting for me--!" Sera just laughed as Momo hurried to complete everything, her words a jumble and cute as could be. "Don't worry about it, I wanted to wait." She walked to the bathroom door frame and leaned against it, watching Momo do the small chores she felt necessary before leaving, despite the fact that they would be heading back to their own homes quite soon. Not that she could say anything, she didn't do too much but she had made sure she looked good.

She followed the girl as she finished up and headed out though, moving behind her casually, not feeling the rush her friend did, though she kept up anyways. She put her bags away the same as Momo and nodded, it seemed like they were perfectly on time, if not earlier than some. "We made it, I'm glad.." They were in a line of sorts waiting to get on the bus but Sera wasn't really the line type and as she saw Kei pass by, people giving him room to get on, whether due to seemingly untrue reputation or simply the size and respect he seemed to naturally demand she wasn't sure. It did give her an idea though and she turned to Momo with a grin. "Come with me, let's make sure we get some good seats." She grabbed the girls hand and pulled her along, not too forcefully but she made sure she came with, going around towards the front of the line and winking at one of the boys at the front to cut in front and go ahead on. She let go of Momo once they were on the bus and turned with a small laugh, "Now we have free reign of where to sit, let's go get some good seats." She said before doing a small graceful spin back around and began walking down the center of the bus, trying to decide where to sit. Usually she wouldn't much care and just sat anywhere, but seeing that Kei and Bishop were quite close to each other in the middle she made a decision and went that way, claiming a set of seats between the two guys, people she knew and wanted to get to know more. "Howdy." She said with a smile, flicking the back of Kei's head since he was wearing headphones and then nodding to Bishop. She was still standing in the middle though, giving Momo choice of seat, not having an affection for window or aisle seating.

Tch, that brat. Devone settled on blaming Kaoru for her delay on boarding the bus when she was previously already at the very front of the line before he interrupted her peace. Nonetheless, he was quite a defensive little runt when I mentioned secrets.. that only confirms heā€™s got a skeleton in his closet that heā€™s afraid Iā€™ll find. Pity, I donā€™t have the time right now. She concluded though being so easy-going left a sour taste in her mouth. And so does a few other things.. Devone closed her eyes a moment in an attempt to erase last nightā€™s scenario out of her head as she stepped onto the bus but it became more troublesome to forget as other students could be heard in the background engaged in gossip over the details. Devone catching a few words shot such students a cold over the shoulder glare that immediately halted them in their tracks, both conversation and literally knowing Devone would resort to almost anything; her wrath holding no limits to what she could accomplish once her mind was made up. She'd frankly, make anyone's life hell if they got on her bad side or served a purpose which would benefit her personally; Akira serving as sufficient proof though probably not the worst of actions she had committed. It was as if there no line between what was right and what was wrong, or fair and unfair; Devone would have her way and hardly ever feel a sense of remorse. For the most part, she was indifferent with very few things let alone people tugging at her heartstrings. Why bother to care for things when they can be replaced? Why waste your time and effort caring for people when relationships can be faked? Such pettiness of which the world endures yet adores.

Her black hair flowed behind her back as she turned on the spot in a perfect demonstration of femininity and grace before continuing to walk down the aisle for a suitable seat. At this rate unfortunately enough for her, it appeared she would have to make do and sit with someone as there were no fully vacant spots for her taking unless she resorted to some form of manipulation. The dayā€™s morning events still lingered unconsciously, leaving her feeling as if she was lacking her usual energy and spice so manipulation wasn't on the agenda any time soon until her eyes scanned a little more and briefly settled on a face that got her thoughts processing like clockwork gears. Well, well, well.. Her deep blue eyes pierced in the direction of a fellow senior (Aeon) and in the few seconds she spared, Devone found herself intrigued. There was no doubt that he stood out amongst peers especially to her with his stoic poise and attire to match. I wonder.. Her eyes narrowed as if bored as she walked past him (Aeon) and the red-head (Jonathan) casually as they were conversing though her thoughts were still drawn to a fascination of what prospects this little sight-seeing could entail. In all her years at Airdalen, she had the idea fixated that she was the only one in the whole school who had any taste in the finer things in life but that one violet-haired boy (Aeon) also possessed the majestic air of one in a position of wealth and power. She began backtracking through her mind to determine if she had seen that face before and could recognise something. Surely such a name or face had come up in a business meeting or a fancy occasion of sorts if he was at her level or even higher. Unable to recall such a time, she could only smirk deciding that current happenings were about to get a bit more exciting with someone around of her calibre.

Devoneā€™s hand brushed along the top of peopleā€™s seats until she reached one spot she absolutely dreaded but sat down in anyway as it beat standing around, grasping onto a pole to avoid stumbling over. She had seated herself by the aisle, reluctantly beside her former pen pal (Bishop) by the window of whom she had only recently discovered with much disappointment. The boy (Bishop) was foreign, good looking in a sort of rough around the edges sort of way but he really wasn't the type of individual she had imagined him up to be in their letters. And yet here I am in Japan because of you, curses. Devone folded her arms defiantly with no intention of striking up a conversation as she began to close her eyes and lean her body towards the opposite way, not resisting the temptation to fall asleep just so the bus trip would be over and done with. Devoneā€™s lack of energy having to think about what happened to her mother also contributing to the desire to fall asleep and rest. As much as the girl didn't want to worry and contemplate.. time and time again she was making the same mistake- or so she would consider it a grave mistake to feel. Iā€™m affected.. I need to block out these unnecessary emotions if I am to carry on as I am.. And for a passing moment, her eyes opened filled with a deep grieving sorrow hidden behind the blue hue before closing again.

Momo

Momo managed to quickly wave back in Keiā€™s direction as he passed by them to get on the bus and it was then that she noticed how many students there were. The bus was crowded and some were even shoving to get through the door first that made her release a suppressed sigh. Maybe we should have gotten here earlier.. but it was worth catching that first wave! She fist pumped in front of her chest enthusiastically though she kept her thoughts to herself. The beach excursion was drawing a close but it had been fun and enjoyable. She was at the very least an inch closer to getting to know her friends and if not, more than that which made everything all the more worthwhile as an experience as a whole. "Come with me, let's make sure we get some good seats." Sera was enthusiastic as well, grinning almost with a mischievous spark as she grabbed Momoā€™s hand and directed her through the crowd.

Momo stayed quiet, somewhat pondering Seraā€™s random uplifting spirits as they continued to move through and past the body of students. Uh but Seā€” Momo thought rather than said as they reached the very front of the line, only to watch as Sera lightly flirted with one of the boys with a passing wink as he moved aside allowing the two girls to go ahead. Following after Sera, she stepped in and poked her bottom lip in thought as her hand was released as Sera let out a small laugh. Momo wasnā€™t sure if she was overthinking things, but she hadnā€™t recalled a time she had seen Sera so energetic and happy. To her, it was a big deal as she always saw Sera was laidback, cool, calm and collected and that she still was, but there was still a shift towards something with much more vigour and energy. "Now we have free reign of where to sit, let's go get some good seats." Sera said with a hint of girly as she spun around to walk down the aisle. Happy for her friend, Momo smiled and removed her finger from her lips to entwine her fingers behind her back in a swinging back and forth motion as she walked on behind.

Sera paused, picking out vacant seats which were conveniently positioned between where Bishop was sitting at and Kei. "Howdy." Sera greeted, flicking the back of Keiā€™s head as Momo decided to toss a small smile and wave in Bishopā€™s aka her Surf Instructorā€™s direction. As she glanced at the vacant seat next to Bishop though, she wandered off in her own trail of thought without meaning to. Miami, a girl of whom Bishop seemed to be growing fond of and maybe to an extent herself considering the girl stood up for her.. was still missing. She had just vanished from the excursion like she was never there. It made Momo feel sad as first it was Maya and then now, Miami. She had been standing there frowning for so long, she didnā€™t realise Sera was waiting for her to be seated and in turn, she was holding the line up inconveniently for everyone. ā€œGomen, gomen ne!ā€ She quickly apologised after snapping out of her thoughts and seated herself by the window before drifting into thought again, her elbow leaning against the narrow windowsill. And I promised Kei in that text I would do my best to clear things out between him and Akira.. She was troubled and unable to cover up her emotions as her lips started to form a natural sulking pout. "Hey." Kei's voice came from in front of them as she turned her head and replied politely back, "Hello" with a brief closed eyes smile before he turned back right around. I'll try my best, ganbatte.

Sera

Sera was in one of those moods and while the cause wasn't clear, as it could have been anything from them soon returning home to one of Momo's cute little bubbly outbursts, it had her a little more excited than usual. In fact it could have just been some of Momo's run off, the amount of energy the girl had would no doubt be impossible to keep contained in her small frame. She slid in her seat, after Momo took the one by the window, and got comfortable. She hadn't really cared about people going around her, it wasn't that difficult to slip around two women unless her or Momo one was fat and they didn't realize it. People had seemed to be waiting though and while she would have been more than happy to continue standing for some time, conversing with those harder to see from a seated position, she didn't want to be too much of a bother to those without enough brainpower to simply go around an obstacle. Besides, while she would enjoy some across the bus conversation there wasn't much to talk about, at least nothing she cared to say, and with Silas and Akira close she didn't want to cause any drama, more of that was certainly unneeded even if it was inevitable. She wasn't about to be bored out of her mind the entire way, sure she could listen to music but that wouldn't be fun and definitely not for the duration. She thought for a moment that Kei greeting them back would start something up but Momo was simply polite and gave a simple greeting back without even trying to say anything more, boring. One redeeming factor was the new girl (Keiko) who had sat down next to Kei, and Bishop behind them, though as Devone took her seat next to him that avenue seemed risky. Sure speaking to Bishop would be fun but even looking at Devone seemed like it could bring some consequences with it.

After a moment of deliberation Sera decided to risk the conflict and turn herself around, still feeling a bit more energetic than usual, even if she was calmed down a bit now that they were on the bus. It seemed like a good idea seeing as Kei had started to speak with his random seat mate (Keiko). So she turned in her seat, her legs into the cushion as she hugged the back, keeping herself steady as she looked over at Bishop and Devone. It was in that first moment she though she noticed something in Devone's eyes she never would have expected, but in the time of a blink it was gone and she couldn't be sure if her eyes were playing tricks, due to some hangover and slight sleep deprivation, or if it had been real. Regardless she didn't want to start anything at the very beginning of their journey by being blunt about it and simply turned her head away from Devone and over to Bishop, "It was too bad you didn't get a chance to give me some tips, I am sure I could have used some." Sera gave a small smile as she took a deep breath, "I guess it's my fault for missing it the day before, just didn't have enough time." It really was a shame, if she had the chance again she would have to make sure she didn't miss it. Perhaps another field trip or just a day trip somewhere. They weren't the best of friends but she liked to think she would get along with Bishop in the coming days and going out to surf somewhere on the weekend or something could be a lot of fun, especially since Momo seemed to like it. Sera sighed and looked up a bit, muttering "Missed opportunities suck..." In English, falling back on it for a second, the language being more comfortable to her than Japanese even if she was fluent in both. She looked over to Momo and tapped her on the shoulder, "What do you think, should we try to pick a day sometime and go for a day trip to a beach or something, skip the partying, continue your lessons and get straight in the ocean?" She turned to Bishop after she asked Momo to pose him the same question, not really caring if Devone listened, figuring she probably didn't care about them or their conversation anyways, at least if her personality remained consistent.

Bishop Trander

Bishop was in his own little world, as he sat slumped against the window leaning on his bag. His eyelids did the rest of the work for him, and slowly closed as the warm sunlight lulled him into a gentle cat nap. He was peaceful there, the soft music of Coldplay coming through his earbud. He didn't notice Sera and Momo seating in front of him, or anyone else around him for that fact. In his usual fashion, he was just off doing his own thing by himself. People didn't normally bother him, unless they were just jerks. So in turn, he didn't really bother with anybody else not wanting to cause trouble. Or in this case, he wasn't entirely fluent in Japanese. His words were accented, and he got a few mixed up or in the wrong order. But he wasn't terrible or anything. <I'll get better in time....> Bishop sighed, and snuggled closer to his bag feeling the weight shift next to him. Did someone sit next to him? Probably somebody he didn't know, but to avoid being rude he slowly rose up and opened his eyes. He had a general look of surprise on his face when he saw that it was Devone taking a seat next to him.

<Well.... This is unexpected.> He rubbed his right eye in a sleepy manner, looking to the girl politely. "Uh... Hey Devone. Do you need more room to sit? I could scoot over some if you'd like." For once, he had no accent when he spoke. But that was a detail that he wasn't experienced enough to actually hear yet. He turned down his iPod so that he could hear what the black haired girl (Devone) would say, if she were to trade pleasantries. Sitting there, he admired how lovely she looked. Devone was a very attractive woman, already seeming to have developed at her age. But it wasn't that much of a surprise seeing as she was a senior. His gentle blue eyes weren't consumed with lust however, like the average 16 year old male's would be. She was just lovely, could probably make a man do anything for a simple kiss on the cheek. He would look her in the eyes, waving a lock of shimmering blonde hair from his eyes. His demeanor was relaxed, a little odd seeing as when he found a girl attractive he was a nervous tense wreck. But it was probably the sleep deprivation that caused this sort of reaction towards him.

"It was too bad you didn't get a chance to give me some tips, I am sure I could have used some." "Hmm? Oh! Hello Sera. I'm sorry but I didn't see you sitting there, you caught me just before I fell asleep." He chuckled softly, with a genuine smile poking fun at his own foolishness no matter how insignificant it was. "Yeah, but it's alright. Everyone was having so much fun during the trip. It's understandable that time got away from us." He looked back to Devone once again, he unbashfully made eye contact with the girl and didn't even attempt to lower his eyes. "Did you have fun Devone?" He wanted to involve the girl in on their conversation. "It was too bad you didn't get a chance to give me some tips, I am sure I could have used some. I guess it's my fault for missing it the day before, just didn't have enough time."" "Not even, you shouldn't worry about that. No harm was done, honest." Bishop nodded reassuringly to Sera, that optimistic smile across his lips when deep down he knew it somewhat was. He was a bit hurt when he got stood up, but no evidence of such feelings was let out for anyone else to see. He was too worried about other people to think about himself lots of times. It took it's tolls quite a lot, but he had no qualms with bearing the burden that his choices made.

Taking a good look around, it seemed that everyone was getting seated and starting to talk with one another. He was happy to have Sera near him, even Devone. She was a lovely sight, and he hoped to actually start getting back in touch with the girl again. He cast her (Devone) a glance before, scanning the bus spotting Momo seating next to Sera. "What do you think, should we try to pick a day sometime and go for a day trip to a beach or something, skip the partying, continue your lessons and get straight in the ocean?" He looked for the pink haired girl's (Momo) reaction, and brightened up even though he still sleepy after Sera looked at him for his opinion too. "Well.... I'm sure that we can get the beach again. We do live in Japan after all!" Bishop always enjoyed surfing, and doing it with friends was even better. "Have you ever surfed Devone?" He looked back to his old pen pal (Devone) with a genuine curiosity. He was already quite trusting of the girl, since they had history from when they were younger. How would that effect their relationship now?
