a character in “Necropolis: Underworld City”, originally authored by Mathew Littlepaw, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

Name: Mahvan
Age: 1024
Sex: Yes please
Gender: Female

Appearance:
http://aurvandil.deviantart.com/art/Karthus-314874625

Powers:
Mahvan is a 1000 year old Lich necromancer, with the knowledge and power of life times worth of magic. She possesses 100's of spells and incantations, ranging from; bringing back the dead, harvesting souls OF the dead, and consuming them to keep her forever youthful, to destruction spells of fire, ice, and lightning.

Weakness/Strengths"
Mahvan can not be killed through blunt force like most undead. Maces, hammers, and swords seem to have no effect on her. She can attach back removed limbs, and even repair broken bones, but these things take time. If she is contentiously beaten down, her powers will give way and she will "die"

Mahvan is very weak to magic. Just through a simple power-draining spells, her connection to her body can be broken, witch will also kill her.

Personality

Mahvan has the literal personality of a corpse. She watches over the dead souls she spawns as "children", though often she sends 100's of them at a time to die. She is ancient, and insane witch makes her even more dangerous. She doesn't care who she has to kill in order to protect her thrown, and her immortality.

Though she is a lifeless corpse, both literal and and personality wise, she does have a bad tendency to play with her pray, and even flirt with them.

Likes:
Her thrown.
Her immortality.
Her "Children".

Dislikes:
Threats.
People who "refuse" her.
The living.

Equipment

Weapons:
The Staff of Necropolis: An ancient and powerful staff that increases her powers over the dead.

Other:
The Necromonican: A book written in an age long sense forgotten. By the Templar's, it is considered the "Anti-bible"

History

Nothing is known of her. The only shred of history that has ever been found about Mahvan, if that is her real name, is locked away in the Templar's holy land. It is a child's story, told from parent to child for a little over 1000 years that was finally written down on paper.

The story goes that a long ago, there lived a woman named Agatha. A beautiful woman that worked as a potion maker, and her husband as a Templar. Together, they had a total of children, and Agatha appeared to be happy in her life. But one day, her husband was killed, and Agatha went insane. It is said that a demon came to her, and told her that she could bring him back, and he would be better than before. She struck a deal with the demon, so she could bring back the dead and he would keep the souls of those she brought back.

She brought back her husband, and he was merely a zombie. But even that was good enough for her. Agatha, and her now resurrected husband, showed her kids there "new" father, and the children were thrown back with fear. Infused with anger and confusion, Agatha killed her children, and then resurrected them just like her husband, the demon keeping all of there souls.

From here, Agatha took her "family" across the land, killing resurrecting all those who tried to stop her. But soon, she started to age, and started looking immortality. She had learned that if she completed a ritual of ripping out her own heart, and eating it with her final breaths, she would become immortal. After doing this ritual, she achieved her immortality.

Then, according to the story, she lead her "Family" down into the underworld, and created the city of Necropolis.

It is not known weather or not she is Mahvan, but with the ways the story accurately discriped the personality of Mahvan, it is assumed they are the same person.

So begins...

From the highest tower of the unholy city, the lich stood on the balcony of her tower, looking over the vast cavern she had created long ago. After taking in a deep breath, Mahvan looked around with intrege, muttering to herself, "Life..." After taking another breath, she turned around and walked into her tower, and picked up her septor from a stand it had been resting it.

"Avasus, kell roa." She spoke as she picked up the staff and looked into the large head piece, then pointed it outside of the balcony again. Suddenly, a blast of fire erupted from the end of the staff, and shot into the are of the vast cavern, lighting the entire city. The blast from the explosion somehow cause the cavern to shake, and groan with air. Then the thick smell of the dead filled the air.

When Durzo snuck his way into the city in the first place, he noticed piles of bones at almost every street corner, and wondered what they were. Suddenly, the piles of bones started to move, and grown to life. Soon after, the bones took form as massive giants made of bones. The giants stood almost 10 feet tall, with bodys crafted out of rotting flesh and bone. There weapons were the same, maces out of skulls, swords out of femurs, and shields made from breastplates and ribs.

Only a few moments after there construction, the giants started to walk. Up and down the streets the giants patrolled, taking in deep breaths as they went along to find what ever it was there master called them for. They also acted as a warning to the people of the city, to stay inside. For something, or some one, was in the city.

Voult felt a commotion on the mid-levels and saw a few shattered dragon eggs. "Damn! You have better have a good excuse for harming my brood!" He roared while crawling up one of the large tunnels that lead to the dragon hatchery. Voult was very protective of the unborn fledglings because he was the oldest living dragon in the Necropolis, even tho none of the eggs were related to him by blood.

"Sir wait!" An adolescent dragon warned and then informed him of the situation that was happening in the Necropolis. "No, they aren't monster's. What you have described to me youngling are human Templar's." The wise Voult growled and then turned into his humanoid form so it would catch the necromancer off guard. "Ready the other youngling's for guard duty." He patted the dragon's head with his wing and flew up to the Necromancer's tower to see if a group of soldier's were protecting her.

"Hello? Anyone here, damn that's a lot a paladins." Voult looked at the army of soldiers that commit genocide in the name of an ideal know as 'good and evil'. "Impossible! That creature can't still be alive! No, just the next version of her." Voult saw a Templar, who resembled the former high priestess, talking to a younger knight. "No human, by any magic, could live that long without becoming a lich or change their gender." He gave a tiny chuckle and leaned back to watch the human's prepare for an attack.

His patience was already thin and now it was gone. Looking over to the Templars side, Nero noted that they were planning something, and since their leader was just going to give them more time to plan an invasion, heโ€™d take matters into his own hands. Nero was about to push off the ground when he noticed, the 2 demons. โ€œYou two. Leave the city at once or come with me,โ€ he didnโ€™t leave any room for arguing as he ran off toward a place that many demons called the beast den.

The beast den was one of the few places that civilians were not allowed. It held some of the most gruesome monsters ever imaginable, and none of them were allowed out. The door to the den was about 6 meters tall and about 5 meters wide, but Nero knew that some of the tallest monster in it could get stuck. Fishing into his pockets for the beast key he had Nero held it up to a magic lantern, making sure it was the right one. The key was a few inches long with a lion on the end. He inserted the key into the door, and as soon as he opened it, a threating roar erupted at him. This caused the white haired demon to smile, โ€œI see yaโ€™ll are healthy. Now how about eating some Templars.โ€
