ImageAppearance
Bishop stands at a slightly above average height for a male freshman at 5'10". Due to his extensive practice in swimming, his body is lean and muscular however not to the effect that he seems 'wiry'. His eyes are a vibrant sky blue that seem to always hold a glimmer of kindness to them. However, catching him in the right mood and you'll see a powerful fire behind them that betrays his gentle nature. He's taken most of his looks from his father, but for now, they appear to be softened by his mother's genetics.

Dancing || Bishop is a pretty good dancer! He doesn't take himself too seriously, so just get him out on the floor and be amazed!

Nickname || Bishop has a family nickname; 'Pacman' because given the boy's active lifestyle and young metabolism he's ALWAYS hungry. If he isn't hungry, it won't take him long to be hungry again.

Parents || His parents have a very good skill of embarrassing him. Whether it's his mom showing his friends embarrassing photos, or his dad acting goofy it seems that they enjoy embarrassing him. "MOM~! Stop showing people that picture~!!!!"

Music || Bishop really loves music. He uses it as an avenue to escape into his own mind and just ponder over things. Don't be surprised if you catch him skipping about a little bit if the boy finds himself alone, or lip-syncing along to the lyrics. His signing voices isn't terrible, but there's no way he would try out for the school choir on his own. His taste in music is broad and very diverse. Him and his dad especially love J-Pop!

Strengths

Kindhearted|| Bishop's nature is that of an overly kind soul. He likes to help people, and do whatever he can to make their day better if they matter to him. Even if it's just making them smile. As well, Bishop is usually first to stick up for others before doing the same for himself.

Fitness || Blessed with a natural talent and good coaching, Bishop is in excellent shape for a young man his age. His natural abilities have earned him a scholarship to Airdalen Academy.

    STRENGTH ||

Weaknesses
Self-doubt || Through all of his experiences Bishop has had a longing for something he's been missing for much of his life. True friendship. This is has left him slightly behind the curve when it comes to being social and often finds himself outside the 'circle of friends' or simply on his own.

Language barrier || Being raised on military bases most of his life, his first language was English and his second being Japanese. This means that he will have some trouble trying to put thought into the appropriate words in Japanese. He always carries a pocket dictionary with notes in it just in case he needs some help.

Socially Ignorant || Especially with girls: With Bishop at the forefront of going through puberty there's a lot that he has to learn. All that he knows for now is that he definitely likes girls, but isn't well versed with flirting or picking up on the 'signs'.

" My dad once told me that weaknesses aren't a bad thing. Nothing is perfect. But it's your friends' strengths that make up for your weaknesses."

Personality

"Well... I honestly can't help who I am. So why not be the best 'me' that I can be!"

Bishop generally is a very kind person. He tends to try and think about other people, often to a fault and is as positive in himself as he is about other people. His mother always said that he saw the best in people, even when nobody else would or could. However, despite his positive nature, Bishop has a bit of a problem really getting close to people. Moving around so much he's never really had a 'best friend' or a large group of friends before. This leaves him somewhat ignorant to a number of social things, which he is fully aware of and holds himself back because of it... Which exacerbates the issue. All in all, though, Bishop is the kind of person to never give up on anyone no matter what they had done to him in the past. His parents raised him to always do what was 'right' and forgiveness is one of those things. He doesn't believe in holding a grudge, although he's had no reason to in his life. Deep down inside, Bishop loves a good competition. Especially in events that pit him against other individuals, but that doesn't mean he isn't a team player. His self-sacrificing nature is a boost to any team or friendship. He would do a lot for his friends, and even a surprising amount for people he barely knows or don't like him.

"You're still here?"

Image

Bishop grew up in a military family, with his father being an officer in the U.S. Navy as an EOD operator. That being said he's used to moving around a lot, and has had some trouble gaining very close friends through the years. On the plus side, he's been to numerous countries including the U.S., Guam, most recently Australia and of course Japan. He's moved in from the naval base in Okinawa when his father was reassigned to another near the capital of Tokyo. This time around his mother wanted to try and settle in the city she grew up in buying a home not too far from her old house. Bishop's greatest hobby at his young age is swimming competitively and he's actually very skilled! So much so that the young man has earned himself a swimming scholarship at the elite Airdalen High School! This is looking to be the first school he's ever gone to where he's going to stay for more than a year.

"As much as traveling is great, I wish I was able to stay in one place for more than a year or two."

Biological:

ImageName: Kimiko Trander

Relationship: Mother

Bishop is very close to his mother. They have a typical mother-son relationship doing as he's told and showing up on time for curfew. He lives at home with his mother not seeing his father as much as they all would like. But he understands and is just happy to have parents like them at all. He is quite protective of her though, she's one of the few people he would legitimately fight for. Kimiko is a lively woman, always charismatic and charming she has a contagious laugh and seems to brighten everyone's day. It's no wonder where Bishop get's many of his habits from.

ImageName: Alex Trander

Relationship: Father

About: Bishop and his dad have always bonded well. He takes in every word the man says and hopes to one day be as great as he is. Unfortunately due to his father's work in the U.S. Navy he isn't home all the time or for very long. Usually every other weekend or so. His father works as an officer in the Navy commanding a small unit of Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) operators along with a few allied nations that work with them. Alex's figure and first impression are generally impressive standing tall with a strong trained body you'd think he was an action movie star. But the American is very laid back and can surprise you with things you wouldn't expect. He's intelligent, polite and well versed on social interactions usually leading a conversation or starting one. It's no wonder why Bishop looks up to his dad so much. (Couldn't find anything in anime)

ImageName: Grandmother Seito

Relationship: Grandmother

About: Seito is an endearing woman that you would think is very traditional. But to the contrary, she's her own woman knowing full well when tradition doesn't have its place in the modern world. She's a very skilled gambler and loves to nag her grandson about finding a pretty girlfriend. Bishop will occasionally stop by their old big house to study if his mother is being too rambunctious playing Wii or being weird. He also tends to sleep over for a few days when his dad comes into town so they can have some 'alone time' which he frankly doesn't want to know about in the least.

ImageName: Aunt Musubi

Relationship: Aunt

About: His aunt is pretty nosy. Musubi is notorious for finding out information about Bishop through seemingly innocent questions then spilling the details like gossip to her sister Kimiko. Musubi is a master Judo instructor and has a very competitive nature, as well as can a bit bossy.

Godfathers:

Bishop has 3 godfathers, all military officers from different countries that have been longtime friends of his father. They were there he was born and have babysat him when his parents were away on multiple occasions. They don't come by as often as his father does, but he's close to all of them.

ImageName: Chester Landcaster

Relationship: Godfather

About: Warrant Officer 2 of the British Army, Special Air Service Explosive Ordinance Disposal officer.

ImageName: Julius Widowgast

Relationship: Godfather

About: Oberleutnant (Captain) German Kommando Spezial Kraft, Explosive Ordinance Disposal Officer

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

Bishop was dead asleep in bed. His chest rose and fell calmly as he snoozed in his bed, which would be interrupted by a blaring alarm suddenly going off. He groaned and rolled over smacking the snooze button and laid there for a second. Time would stand still until he suddenly jumped up in bed with a huge smile. "It's time for school!!" Normally he wasn't this thrilled to be at school, but this was the first day in an all new experience for the young teenager. He hopped out of bed and rushed out of his room to go get a shower. "Bishop~? It's good that you're up honey, breakfast is almost ready. Everyone is going to eat together on skype so make sure you have your uniform on. Your father wants to see it." His mother, Kimiko called up to him from the kitchen having heard her excited son bounce around upstairs. "Ok mom!" "What did we say about your Japanese?" Bishop sighed leaning out of the bathroom door now shirtless to shout down the stairs. "I can't get better if I never try." Japanese was his second language, he's been learning it since he was young but still had to fine tune some things here and there. He had a dictionary incase he ran into some words that he's never heard of before. But his reading and writing skills were proficient for a boy his age, the translations however simply slowed his progress down. He hopped in the shower liking his water extra hot as he washed himself. The young freshmen closed his eyes imagining himself swimming in a pool this warm, with the current song playing on the stereo. If he wasn't talking, Bishop was almost always listening to music of some kind.

Clean and refreshed Bishop walked from the bathroom to his room and eyed up his new uniform. "I can't beleive I'm going to a school that requires uniforms. That's kinda rare in the states." He began to get dressed pushing the button on his iPhone to change to the next song and smiled as his favorite band Coldplay began to play. He looked in the mirror as he got dressed the uniform fitting perfectly. In reality his father insisted on getting it a size bigger since they planned on him growing, fortunately his mother was skilled with a needle and didn't want her son to go to school wearing a baggy uniform. So it would appear as if he had a minor tailor job to his suit complimenting his physique in every fashionable way possible. <This is it! My first time going to a school for longer than a year. High school too! I wonder if I'll be popular.> He couldn't help but thing that as he grabbed his backpack, a very American styled backpack and headed down stairs. "Hey mom! What's for breakfast?" "Why don't you come down and see! I'm sure you can smell it." Bishop grinned from ear to ear thinking of his mom's amazing cooking. He dashed into the kitchen and dropped his backpack seeing the spread that was laid out. Without a word he moved to the dining table and sat down while his mother finished some last things. "Now don't worry about the dishes honey. You have more important things to worry about." She patted his head making the young blonde blush and nod.

"Hey there sport! Lookin snazzy! You excited for school?" Bishop had a piece of toast dangling from his mouth when he noticed the computer monitor set on the table. On it was his father, dressed in the blue, grey and black colored Navy fatigues. The man's chiseled features beamed back at his son, who took a sip of a coffee mug that read 'EOD, If I start running, try and keep up' and had a tray of food in front of him as well. Though it didn't look nearlt as appetizing as what was in front of Bishop. "Yeah! I'm stoked! But mostly hungry." He took a big bite of his eggs and reached for a few pieces of bacon then drank some orange juice. His father laughed and took a sip of his coffe and ate what looked like french toast.

"I see you're speaking in Japanese like you're suppose to as well. Good! You're never going to find a pretty, rich girlfriend if you can't woo her with your words." His father smirked happily, but Bishop couched nearly choking on his food. "D-Dad! Why do you keep saying that?" He blushed heavily feeling his ears get hot, as he lowered his fork for a moment looking at the computer screen. Ever since they got the news he was getting a scholarship to Airdalen they were talking about how they were so excited for him to meet a nice rich girl, to buy all their worries away. They were only half-joking of course. "Oh, don't you know sweetie? This is a private school you're going to. A lot of the elite apply for this academy and some even get denied. You're awful lucky." "Well I knew that! But... Why do you gotta make a big deal about it? Especially a rich girl?" "Or boy...." His mother added in quietly and sipped her milk as if nothing was said.. Alex grinned catching it, but their son was completely oblivious jsut chowing down. "We're you're parents son! we, just want what's best for you. Now go and eat your breakfast. Nobody wants you to be hungry again." Bishop nodded and continued to eat. His parents just watched in awe, with small smiles on their face seeing their young boy growing up to one day be a man.

When breakfast was over, Bishop and his mother said their goodbyes to Alex his father and went out to their small car to head to school. Coincidentally his houses wasn't very far away from Airdalen, it was a little over 7 blocks deffinitely within walking distance but biking would be preferred. "Music for the road? Bishop smiled and nodded. "Of course!" Kimiko turned on the radio and started to play some J-Pop music his mother dancing the drivers seat like a fool. <Oh no... What have I done.> This was part of the reason why he tended to study at his grandmother's house. His mom was a busy body, in the sense that she was always doing something whether it was work or something fun for herself. As they drove along, he listened to the music but tried to not make any eye contact with pedestrians and other drivers seeing the lovely purple haired woman dancing in the drivers seat and singing lyrics of songs unashamedly. It was finally time that they arrived at school, Kimiko pulling up directly in front of the gate having missed the impeccable prince's subtle entrance (Aeon)

"Alright, thanks mom!" his mother looked to him and smiled, reaching out to stroke his blonde hair. "I'm so proud of you honey! I'm so excited that you get to go to a wonderful school like this, and get to meet new friends. I'm sure you'll do great." Bishop blushed sheepishly and twiddled with his bag some. "T-Thanks mom. But I gotta go, don't want people to stare at me." She giggled to herself drawing her hand back. "Oh my, my young man is already too cool for her mother. I understand. Now go! And find a cute girl!" "MOM~!"

Bishop hopped out of his car and put both straps over his shoulders. He mentally prepared himself for the journey he was about to embark on and smiled confidently. There was a small fire in his eyes as he looked to the awaiting gate guard who had a knowing smirk of his own. He stepped forward only to freeze hearing his mom honk the car horn. "GOODBYE SWEETIE~! HAVE A GOOD FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL~ MOMMY LOVES YOU~!" His mother blew a kiss and giggled driving off seeing her son's reaction. She was very loud and was bound to grab at least someone's attention. Bishop froze in fear and turned a deep red. "S-She.... She did that on purpose!!" <Why!? Why me!? Why now!? That is NOT how you start being cool in high school! Ugh! I'm gonna kill her!> He turned around seeing the gate guard sling more and chuckling to himself. Bishop lowered his head and walked inside.

"Welcome to Airdalen. The guard politely commented and nodded knowingly. Bishop simply closed his eyes and waved politely somewhat forgetting his Japanese customs. He would turn to see the expanse of the campus and looked on int awe. "Sugoi...." He walked somewhat aimlessly around until he noticed that some people were already here. He had a wary eye seeing if people were staring at him. He looked very convincingly like a lost puppy, being a freshmen at his school and was all by himself now in the center of the courtyard. He looked around seeing a pretty blonde girl (Arietta). That struck a chord with Bishop, seeing blonde's in this country was rare and always something to talk about with his peers donning the vibrant gold locks. He would make a mental note of the girl and nodded to himself. He barely noticed a male who seemed less than conscious (Ryou) sitting next to the blonde girl which made him curious. There would be time to learn more about the people around him in the future. Turning around he noticed another boy-girl pair on a bench sitting together but not talking (Rhys and Shiori). He could get a decent idea of who was in what grade, but his ability to read people wasn't the best being somewhat socially inexperienced.

<Ok.... Don't linger too long. Don't want to look weird.> He spied the third group of people, which appeared to be a very short girl with blakc hair (Mai) talking to another boy (Akira). Not wanting to force himself into a conversation he decided to go off to the side and sat by himself in front of a tree on a bench. He never noticed that a dark haired girl (Yuuki) was behind him under the tree however. To pass the time Bishop pulled out a small speaker and synced it to his iPhone deciding to play a favorite song. He wasn't meaning to disturb anyone, he just wanted some nice relaxing music to start his day as he sat on the bench and minded his own business. As the soft harmonies of the string instruments, coupled with the sounds of a guitar played in everse and the piano Bishop bobbed his head with the music letting out a content sigh. <Music is always a good ice breaker! Maybe someone will like this band too.> He smiled to himself and leaned back against the bench looking up at the tree above him happily.

Immediately, Shiori tensed up as a tall male with fairly pretty long brown-blond hair sat down beside her. She didn't recognize him, so he was obviously a Junior. Just because she didn't socialize often, didn't mean she wasn't aware of her classmates and their names. She cared about them and made a point to remember their names, she just couldn't express any of that to them in a healthy way. She was trembling just seconds before his arrival, and she was nervous that he might have noticed.

She took a moment to look at him when he turned his gaze the opposite way, blinking in curiosity. He sat here, only to ignore her? She tilted her head a bit at him, completely baffled by this boy's sense of logic. If he was shy, he would have had trouble approaching her. If he was hyperactive she would be looking for a way to plausibly escape this seating arrangement, and if he was creepy, wouldn't he have done something strange to her by now? Did he expect her to say something? Was he sitting here because she was quiet and just wanted to be left alone? She began to really overthink his actions and it was driving her a little crazy trying to decipher through all the possibilities on her own.

She turned her head away from the long haired junior (Rhys), completely confused by his choice to sit with her in silence. Suddenly the lack of noise was beginning to feel very awkward, so she did the best she could. Socializing was always her worst subject, but there were a few topics she could discuss without going on the rude defense, "Etto... the weather's really hot today.." She stated, looking up at the sky, shielding her eyes with one hand. The shade of blue was beautiful, and despite her home-body reputation, she did love warm days like this. Something about days like this one was nostalgic and brought her a small sense of peace. Perhaps it was because she met that boy on a day somewhat like this one?

"I'm Shiori Kitogawa." She added, not looking at Rhys directly, in fact, she was now staring at the ground, letting the toes of her shoes shuffle against the concrete to keep her mind off of the fact that she was talking to a complete stranger. So far she was doing alright, but she was definitely nervous. It wouldn't be long before something spurts out of her mouth to offend him. She was just postponing the inevitable. Sometimes she wasn't even sure why she even tried. Most people at this school hated her, the others simply tolerated or didn't care about her existence in the first place. Why did she try so hard to change? Then an image of that little blond boy she met as a child came back to her. The boy hugged her once when they first met, and she completely froze in panic. She knew there was probably still a picture of it somewhere, but she didn't personally have a copy of it. Ever since that day, she decided she wanted to be more like him, to be able to warmly embrace others and make friends so easily, to smile in that warm way, just like he did.

When she thought of him, she saw the colors one typically associated with summer, because that's exactly what his kindness felt like, the embrace of a warm summer's day. Her violet eyes shifted to the tall junior, and then back down to the ground, "You don't have to reply to me, I was just trying to be polite, that's all.." Her tone was a bit distant and definitely had a defensive edge to it. Her nerves finally got the best of her, and her body was going into protective mode. This was her own form of self preservation, of keeping her feelings protected from greater forms of pain at all times. Sure, loneliness hurt, but rejection from someone considered a cherished friend hurt way worse. She found that out at a very young age from her mother, but also because a friend betrayed her trust back in elementary school. She never wanted to feel that pain again.

Why did he sit here..? I want to ask, but I'm scared of the answer.. just like with Kazuhiko.. I'm always scared to ask people the more serious and intimate questions and end up making a fool out of myself instead. She was growing depressed with herself, so she busied herself. She put her pen and notebook in her bag, looking around at the students that came in since she began talking. T-That many!? She was immediately intimidated by the number of known and unknown faces surrounding. She knew that no one was watching her, but somehow she felt as though they were all spying on her, waiting for her to slip up.. She felt like everyone in the area was waiting to find a reason to judge her, even though common sense told her that no one here cared about her or what she was doing. Half of them didn't even know who she was, and the other half..well, we discussed the seniors earlier in this post. Why do I overreact to everything? Why can't I be like all of them and just act natural..? Why do I have to be so different..? I wish I could talk freely about anything, just like everyone else.. I hate being different.. Shiori thought to herself, nervous and angry fists tightening in her lap, sort of crinkling her skirt.

Yuuki wasn't bothered by the blond boy's (Bishop) nearby presence, that is, she didn't even notice him at first. She was far to consumed by the math problems and the sound of birds, to even notice the boy sitting down. All was well, until be began playing music. The abrupt disruption of sound startled the busy girl, causing the lead of her pencil to snap. Immediately she looked up with a glare. She took no time in snapping her book closed and standing up. She dusted off her skirt, walking around the bench to face him directly. Yuuki tilted her head at him, a look of disbelief on her face. Though her expression was not playful or curious, but instead she wore somewhat of a stern expression, "Do you often make a hobby out of playing music right next to strangers when they are trying to study..?" She asked with one quirked eyebrow, and one hand on her hip. She was not pleased with this behavior. Of course she could have simply moved to another spot, but that was not the point. She was there first, she was minding her business, and this boy inexcusably disturbed what little sense of peace she found among this chaos known as high school. She wanted answers and she wanted him to atone for his actions. She found that no one made repeat offenses whenever she addressed them directly. This boy was cute, but Yuuki wasn't concerned with stuff like that, her human attractions were the last thing on her mind right now, and she wasn't going to treat him differently just because he was physically attractive. She believed in fair play, and she was going to treat him as she would if anyone else had done the same thing, very, very, harshly. He was about to be on the receiving end of Yuuki's rage.

"I take my education very seriously, and I am trying to work on my cram school assignments. I cannot do that when that, whatever that was, is playing!" Her voice was stern, but she hesitated for a moment because she didn't know who Coldplay was. Well, to anyone who knew her that wouldn't have come as a surprise. Music, movies, she was very unfamiliar with the media. She only owned a computer for school work, and she did not own a TV at all in her small apartment. There was no music on her phone aside from the typical factory tones. She became a very boring person over the years, but still held the same temper, "What do you have to say about yourself?" She was speaking a bit fast, and definitely in Japanese. Little did she know, Bishop wasn't very savvy with the language to begin with, and speaking in her irritated and fast manner would only hinder him from understanding what she was saying even more.

She knew that if anyone decided to look over, it was obvious that there was an argument taking place, but she didn't know anyone here, so she didn't really care what they thought about her. Besides, perhaps others would avoid her and let her study in peace if they saw what happened to those who disturbed her. She wasn't going to let anyone get in the way of her making top marks, she had to be able to study without distraction.. how else would her father get better? She didn't even realize that her knuckles were white, because the hand that was once dangling the workbook at her side was now tightly clenching the spine of the book in irritation and desperation. No one understood her situation. She didn't have a lot of time, she had to be better, she had to be smarter. She was running out of time. She felt so helpless and this was the only thing she could do. This was the only way that she could be useful to her parents.. Her mother made her promise, and she intended to keep that promise if it damn near killed her doing so. She was skinny because she skipped meals, she was tired because she missed out on hours of sleep quite frequently, and she was irritated with this blond boy (Bishop), because of all the pressure that laid on her shoulders made her explode.

Before her father's illness, she probably would have just complimented the song, or she would have played one of her own.. Now, it was just another obstacle. He was just an obstacle between herself and her goals, "I... I don't have time for people. Please turn that down... or put these on. You're distracting me..." and she reach in her bag at this point, digging for a second before handing out a set of earphones. Her expression was serious as she extended them toward the boy. This was her personal lavender tinted pair that she used when studying on computers, but she'd loan them out if it meant a bit of peace and quiet. She felt a familiar knot in her stomach, but she knew this was for the best. It was easier for him to learn to hate her now. It was always more difficult if she was kind to them. Kindness only drew people in, she was purposely trying to shove these people out of her way. It still hurts.. I don't like being hated. I don't think I'll ever get used to this feeling.. I feel like throwing up..

Johnny Farelli

The campus courtyard beyond the gate reminded Johnny of a similar courtyard for a hospital back home, where recovering patients and their guests- namely the teammates who got injured- bought snacks from a vendor set up near the entrance to one of the main buildings. The only difference was that the activity within the courtyard was neither slow, nor muted. It was energetic and intense as more and more kids moved in and claimed seats amongst the benches and patches of grass forming comfortable foundations to trees laden with a soft pink.

The first individual Johnny noticed was a boy who appeared the closest to the foreigner’s height, (Ryou) albeit the height was more like a length, spread out along one side of the bench. From a distance, Johnny could tell the other boy was fit- maybe along Johnny’s level. To see such a specimen sleeping meant either two things: The boy either woke up early, or was incredibly lazy. The sleeping dog’s (haha) build implied that the former was far more likely, and it was indeed a very respectable build. Johnny held respect for the guy, and he showed that respect by following the idiom about sleeping dogs.

The second individual Johnny noticed was a girl who was as polar an opposite as they could possibly be. (Mai) She was so goddamn tiny that it reminded Johnny of some old, very offensive midget jokes one of his uncles told last family reunion. Johnny was not sure how to feel about the tiny girl. Jokes were jokes and said nothing about the character of the subject, as that same uncle always said before making a shoddily constructed and racist quip about the Irish.

His eyes scanned over most everyone else until he realised that he was standing in the middle of the courtyard with no nearby seating. Johnny, as well as these students, remained out on the courtyard- awaiting… what? John knew not; His letter came with instructions to wait in the courtyard until an official came to greet him and the other students. He pulled his earbuds out to catch the sounds of a familiar European band. Johnny liked Coldplay as much as the next guy, but his heart was always for the old stuff his dad and extended family grew up with.

His eyes darted around to find the source of the music. Twenty feet away, on a bench near one of the pink trees, sat a blonde-haired boy with round eyes that appeared full of life. The boy held a very portable wireless speaker- obviously synced-up with his music player of choice. Johnny realised that he should have brought some speakers of his own… except he lacked room for it in his messenger bag due to the gym clothes and other basic supplies. Hopefully, once he got himself a locker, he can bring everything he wanted to bring at later days.

Johnny’s mind raced as he reviewed different greetings. There were three of them that his father told him about, and they all sounded entirely different. To be fair, however, phrases like “What’s up,” and “Hello,” and “Greetings,” all sounded completely different in the perspective of someone less familiar with the English language. He finally remembered what his dad said was the proper greeting for a first-time greet, and was about to approach the blonde-haired boy. However, the girl on the other end of the bench (Yuuki) just began to chew out the blonde-haired boy.

Johnny blinked, and opted to avoid getting caught in an awkward situation only compounded by his rudimentary knowledge of the language. He figured that the girl was only annoyed at the music. He assumed it was out of taste, but he wasn’t offended by it. He thought Coldplay was alright. Crossing the potentially awkward encounter out of his options of things to do, The tall, lean, and muscular boy continued scanning the vicinity for someplace to sit. There was one last empty bench near the front doors to Building A.

With a few long strides, he closed the distance to the bench and lazily took a seat on the far right side of the bench. He slipped a hand into his messenger bag to once more make sure he had everything he needed. It was then that he remembered that he did, in fact, pack an English-to-Japanese dictionary. Though Johnny was not familiar with the grammar, he figured it would be best to at least understand the words. He pulled out the fist-sized pocketbook and began studying the contents. Words, pronunciations, and definitions filled his mind for a while.

Deep-down, he wanted to wait until he had a better grasp on the language before he began talking to people, not unlike his personal interests that not even his parents know about.

"Since, it would be my last year. I'll make sure that it would be a blast. After all, we have to send off my grand self with a big kabloom and wonderful dazzling lights."
Image
|| Current Location ✦ Airdalen Academy ||
|| [ Theme ✦ [Animals ] ||

It might have been a gazillion times this had been asked by a very annoyed Kazuki. "Who made it that school should start at the rising of the sun!? Dammnit!" He muttered very loudly as he clicked his tongue in irritation, but that is not really the problem here. Anyone who would come to parking lot inside one of the vehicles parked there would see the notorious or more plainly known as the Hellion, handcuffed to the steering wheel. "Why the hell does he have handcuffs in the first place!?" This remarkable handiwork is done by no one else, but the ever lovely uncle of his who is also actually, Airdalen's Mr. Hayashi, the Math Teacher.

Now, why was he like this It's because, he decided to sleep in and not attend this stupid program. He really planned on playing hooky, but his uncle miraculously did not have one of those forgetful spells and literally kidnapped him from his house on his bed. "This is an outright violation of my human rights! I'll sue his ass when I get out of here... Tch!" Other things to add to his irritable mood are his early attendance, being in a vehicle, and also it was his uncle who dressed him all up, so right now, he looked like one of those picture models for those high school promotional movies or something with slick-back hair. This was going to be bad for his rep. "I'm really going to enjoy cutting that old man to pieces..." He grumbled further as he fought his restraints and looked inside the car for a way to free himself.

"I swear that old man is a pervert or something..." He continued tugging on his handcuffs and in irritation, he kicked the floor of the car. That was then he heard a jingling sound. His golden eyes shimmered like a cat who had found a beautiful fish to pounce on. He managed to open the glove compartment and there he saw the keys to his handcuffs. It was a good thing that his uncle is forgetful. Things were certainly looking up for him. A grin was plastered on his face as he now thinks of ways on how to get it. He managed to grab hold of it by using his teeth and dropped it to his waiting fingers. "You can't keep me locked in, buddy..." He said with a very confident smile as he began unlocking his restraints. It did the trick as he stretched his limbs. He could feel the blood beginning to flow freely once more.

All of this was done so he would participate in this program. His uncle said that he would be returning to take him inside once everything is settled. There was no way in seven levels of hell and seas would he babysit some punk still looking for his or her mommy. There are better things worthy of his time than that. Anyway, he released a big sigh and commented. "This was not how I envisioned myself getting tied up. I was thinking along the lines of a beautiful dominatrix. Anyways, time to split!" He has that Cheshire grin on his face as he whistled a bit and was about ready to leave the car. He doesn't like staying inside of these contraptions as much as possible when his stomach gurgled in rebellion. "I didn't even have breakfast yet." He finally remembered as his wake-up call had been chaotic at the very least.

"Stupid uncle, I still have that leftover subway sandwich inside the fridge. Tch!" He punched the dashboard and then left the car while slamming the door behind him as it fell. He left me in a car that's falling apart... This is why I hate these cars." After doing that, he messed up his hair, returning it to its normal style. He popped open his jacket, loosened his tie and then rolled up his sleeves. That was then, his phone vibrated. It's a good thing he managed to grab that one. There was a message from one of the girls he had hit at the club, it's very suggestive. Then, if a literal light bulb could be seen on top of his head, there will be one. He had a wide grin on his face along with those feline eyes of his. It was rather intimidating like that of a devil, but a handsome and alluring one. It's good for him to be born with such good looks. "Got my ticket then." He went towards the main grounds where he could see that there were some people around. It was passing glance and he didn't really care about them. What good students they are, how boring.

Kazuki ignored them as he went to the gates. He was about to walk passed two girls, one with blue hair (Gen) and the other with orange hair (Vika). But, he didn't have time to confirm who they are since; he has one thing in mind, leave the premises when the guard noticed him. "Oi! Miyamoto! Stop right there!" The guard came out of his booth and began to walk towards him. He stopped momentarily and clicked his tongue. That good old for-nothing uncle of his probably warned the guard. "Shit!" He began to move again as he made his way to the gates, but there was another one waiting for him. They came in prepared and his uncle made sure they did. Why does he have to be serious at the most useless moments in his life? Why!? With that, he quickly made a roundabout to escape their clutches.

"Hayashi-sensei said not to let him escape! Catch him!" One of the guards said as they began to multiply like cockroaches and they were quite good. It's to be expected; after all they have to ensure the security of a very high-end school with very important students in attendance. He made the run while using the obstacles around him like the rails much like a tightrope and then jumped down with smirk on his face. "As if I'd let you catch me! Suckers!" He was able to make his way through the benches and stopped at one where two students (Shiori and Rhys) were presently sitting. "S'cuse me! Up and over!" Kazuki literally jumped over the bench where some of the guards halted. He then landed just a few inches in distance from another pair of students (Akira and Mai). Watch where you stand!" Then, he heard the guards were hot on his heels again. Well, see you later kiddos!"

Kazuki continued as they were still in pursuit as he looked over his shoulder. "Persistent bastards..." He muttered under his breath and then looked in front of him. There he noticed a very large tree where there were another pair of students (Yuuki and Bishop) arguing or more like being told off. "Get out of the way love birds!" He said as he grabbed at one of the branches and swung himself across, much like a gymnast. "Miyamoto! Get back here!" As if, he would do that. He continued his pace as he ran across another student (Johnny) on a bench. He was now on the other side and saw three students at one bench. His smile widened even further as he went towards the group.

"Hot stuff, coming through!" He announced as he pushed his way between another pair. (Saburo and Arietta) Then, he literally stepped on Ryou's foot to wake him up that should serve as a deterrent to the remaining guards coming after him. "When you snooze, you lose!" He shouted towards Ryou and then continued forward as he finally halted in his escape, actually, he tripped on something as he fell flat on his face. That was embarrassing. "Dammit! Who did that!?" He shouted angrily as he quickly went back on his feet. His face was rather red and bit bruised. Then, his eyes landed on the one responsible for his fall. His eyes narrowed in disdain. "And here I thought, the heavens had finally taken you back." There before him was Aeon and the lovely Cassiopeia.

That was when the guards finally caught up to him and grabbed him. "Finally caught you, Miyamoto!" The guard announced with a ragged breath. Kazuki glared at Aeon for being the reason of his so-called apprehension and then shrugged his shoulders as he didn't fight anymore. "Well you know what they say, peeps and pops, there's nothing like a good exercise to jet start your day." He said with his carefree casual way as the guards glared and sighed at this. Oh yeah, tell my uncle. Does he have insurance on his car?" He ended that with his infamous mischievous smile. It was after all a normal thing to be expected from someone like Kazuki Miyamoto.

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

Bishop sat on his bench as content as could be. He had a tiny smile on his face, looking around and taking in his surroundings with a youthful awe. He felt lucky to be here, the school grounds were stunning and gave the presence of culture, sophistication and above all quality not just in the physical aspects but academic as well. He gently nodded his head from side to side as his bright golden hair shown in the early sunlight making him appear bright and cheery like the spring air. <Well.... It appears that no one noticed my mother's attempt of embarrassing me. This is an omen! If I persevere and do my best, I can over come any obstacle!> His smiled brightened and the freshmen clenched his right hand into a fist of determination that fire in his eyes coming alive again betraying his innocent appearance. He felt he could accomplish anything!

"Do you often make a hobby out of playing music right next to strangers when they are trying to study..?" Bishop visibly flinched now noticing a girl with purple hair and glasses (Yuuki) standing in front of him... And boy did she look upset. "Aahh umm... Eh-" "I take my education very seriously, and I am trying to work on my cram school assignments. I cannot do that when that, whatever that was, is playing!" Bishop was flabbergasted. Never in a million years that he thought his first 5 minutes on campus that the blonde wold be getting chewed out by a girl. To be honest she kind of reminded him of his aunt, how she lectured him. His eyes widened taking on the appearance of a puppy's looking up at her in shock, appearing to water up. "What do you have to say about yourself?" Bishop flinched again but never took his eyes off of this upset girl (Yuuki). "Uhh.. Y-You.. Don't like music?" He paused asking a question that seemed innocent and fine to him, although it was actually rhetorical. "I thought- that maybe some people would like something nice to listen to." What might be a surprise to other people, was his tone wasn't defensive or retaliatory in any manner of speaking. His words were laced with an American accent but it wasn't atrocious by any means despite how nervous he was. Bishop adjusted his posture and fixed his collar as a nervous tick diverting his eyes away from the girl (Yuuki) to spy and see if anyone else was watching them noticing a tall brown haired boy quickly turn away as if he was about to watch a train wreck- which is exactly what this was. <Oh my god! This is a disaster! How could this happen to me right when I was about to turn everything around! I'm gonna be ruined!> His mind reeled thinking of exaggerated circumstances where he was going to be made fun of for life because of this simple misunderstanding.

"I... I don't have time for people. Please turn that down... or put these on. You're distracting me..." Bishop blinked when the girl (Yuuki) spoke again and offered her a set of headphones. He looked at her hand then back up to Yuuki again and held his hands up. "Oh umm.. N-No thank you. I couldn't take something that's yours, especially something so personal. Hehe. He smiled sheepishly, yes he smiled at the girl (Yuuki). Despite being beat over the head for trying to make someone's day better. "I have my own headphoness. I'm sorry to have bothered you, I didn't know it would cause a problem." Bishop would first turn off the music then straighten up in his seat and bow in apology towards his violet haired heckler. When he came up there was a soft, gentle smile on his face as he closed his eyes. "I-I hope you won't hold this against me... I hate to make a bad first impression my first day here." He absently rubbed at the back of his head, gently ruffling the golden locks that swayed in the soft breeze. Bishop's thought process was largely anti-conflict. His mother gave him some advice as a kid when he was holding a grudge against a boy in elementary school. <Every person is having a struggle that no one else knows about. So be respectful.>

"Get out of the way love birds!" Bishop looked to see some guy (Kazuki) swinging on a bench flying past them. "Wah!" He flopped to the ground to avoid being hit. He sat up from his position to see that same person (Kazuki) sprinting around the courtyard avoiding the security guards like the plague. That was until he tripped by a a couple (Aeon & Cassiopia). He looked back up to Yuuki and rubbed the back of his head again a bit nervously. <I'm such a dork....>

The small girl had been humming the first theme song to Rangers Unite! to herself quietly. She looked pretty content with herself as she absentmindedly swung her legs back and forth. Although she knew it made her look even smaller, Mai enjoyed doing it since it gave her something to do. Mai was even swaying to the song as it played in her head but only if you paying close attention would you notice her movement. Every now and then Mai would look up to see if anyone else had arrived and by the looks of it someone did. A young man, or rather a pretty boy, had arrived. He was smaller than most of the men she has seen but he was certainly taller than she was. The fact that he wasn't that much taller than her made him seem less intimidating. I wish I was his height. Mai pouted inwardly hating the fact that she didn’t inherit her parents genes but rather her Oba-san, may she rest in peace. Had Mai watched the boy a little longer she would have seen him approaching her and could have prepared for a confrontation however those green orbs caught sight of a ladybug that was crawling on the edge of the bench to her right.

Mind if I sit with you? I'm new and fairly lost.." Mai jumped a bit as she wasn’t expecting to be spoken to. Instead of looking up right away, Mai hunched her shoulders slightly in hopes that this boy was talking to someone else. She noticed that he had an accent and the butterflies in her stomach got worse. In that little moment Mai really wished she was the ladybug right now. "I'm Akira Miyuu, and I'm a junior this year.. What is your name?" At this point Mai finally realized just how rude she was being.

Taking in a deep breathe, Mai finally looked up at the boy who had introduced himself as Akira. Green met aquamarine for a brief second before she diverted her eyes elsewhere. Placing her hands together on her lap, Mai fiddled with her thumbs as she made attempts to calm herself down to give him an answer. Why is such a pretty person talking to me? And he wants to sit next to me!? The young woman simply couldn’t wrap her mind around the idea. Mai dared to look at his face again and noticed the kind smile that was present, in a way seeing that smile put her at ease if just a little. Come on Mai! Just breathe and answer his question and you’ll be just fine. She bit the corner of her lip and fiddled with her thumbs a bit more before finally she spoke.

“H-Hell-o. U-um y-you –ma-ay, I do-don’t m-mind at a-all.” Closing her mouth she got the first half of what she wanted to say done with but her stutter was getting worse every second. “I-I’m M-Mai K-Kon a-a J-Junior, pl-pleased t-to ma-mak-e y-you-you’re a-aq-aquian-tance.” Releasing a sigh of relief, Mai visibly deflated and had stopped twiddling her thumbs. Mai looked around at her surroundings quickly and noticed a few more people had shown up. And it sounded like someone was playing music, she couldn’t quite name the band but it did sound familiar.

Straightening up, Mai looked to where the music was coming from and saw that normally sized boy (Bishop) had shown up who looked kind of nice. He had soft looking blonde hair and she could tell, even from a distance, that he might be a bit athletic. He looks happy. Watching him a little while longer resulted in her witnessing him being chewed out by a girl with glasses and short purple hair (Yuuki). A small smile appeared on her lips. Mai felt a little bad for the boy but she didn’t get much time to worry about him since there was one sitting next to him. “Oh.” came quietly as she realized she might have looked like she was ignoring him. Quickly turning her attention back on Akira she bit her lip again and somehow ended up looking like she was going to cry. Okay you got this Mai. Just ask him something, anything. As she opened her mouth, a relatively tall boy (Kazuki) landed right in front of them.

His arrival had been so sudden that Mai jumped and made a small yelping sound of surprise. Watch where you stand!" Mai was still in utter shock, then again she probably wouldn’t’ have had the nerve to give a reply to him even if she wasn’t. “Well, see you later kiddos! All she could do really was watch him in silence as the young man ran off again with the guards right behind them. “Eh?” Mai really was just confused. She seriously hoped that this wasn’t a common occurrence in her first day at a new school.

"Uhh.. Y-You.. Don't like music?"

Yuuki's eyes widened at this question. It wasn't that she didn't like music, but music was simply a distraction, just like this boy. She wasn't sure how to answer this, so she went with the simplest one, the truth. She did not care about this boy's opinion of her, nor anyone else's for that matter, "Music is just another distraction from my studies. I haven't listened to music in several years. So, I guess you could say I don't like it."

"I thought- that maybe some people would like something nice to listen to."

"I'm sure some of the others enjoy it, but I don't." She replied back, realizing that he wasn't trying to actively irritate her with his music, he just seemed to do it naturally. His accent was also foreign, so he probably didn't realize the customs here.. So she let out a sigh and rubbed the back of her neck. How did she get stuck dealing with the disrespectful foreigner?

"Oh umm.. N-No thank you. I couldn't take something that's yours, especially something so personal."

"Okay," He refused the headphones, so she put them back in her bag, not even a bit insulted by his denial. She didn't see things like that, though she knew that a lot of people did. Headphones were just a means of listening to audio without disturbing others, she didn't understand how they qualified as a personal object. Everyone had a pair, it wasn't undergarments or clothing, nor were they one of a kind. This boy was simply strange, and she wasn't getting on the right foot with him at all.

"I have my own headphones. I'm sorry to have bothered you, I didn't know it would cause a problem."

Yuuki tilted her head as the blond boy bowed, a bit surprised, but also a little impressed. Despite being a foreigner, at least he knew how to properly apologize. She let out a sigh, seeing as this was a lot more irritation than she originally planned to put up with, but decided to hear him out since he seemed to be sorry and it would be more than a little rude to walk away after chewing him out. She did have respect for manners, "Be more mindful of your surroundings next time." She stated in a calm and indifferent tone, it was so robotically neutral.

"I-I hope you won't hold this against me... I hate to make a bad first impression my first day here."

"I don't have the time to hold grudges against people, so you have nothing to worry about. Just don't do it again, at least not around me." She replied in a flat tone, not really concerned with whether or not he was genuinely apologetic or not. She just wanted results. So long as the behavior did not repeat, she didn't care if he liked her or hated her. The end result would still be the same. Though she did feel something in her stomach, a knot of sorts, but she blamed it on her breakfast. Perhaps she didn't fully cook the eggs? She didn't recognize this feeling, but how could she? It had been years since she'd experienced guilt.

"Get out of the way love birds!"

Yuuki's eyes widened, and as the tall rampaging guy (Kazuki) grew closer. She instinctively withdrew herself from his range of reach, falling backwards on the ground afterwards. It wasn't the dark haired guy's fault (Kazuki), at least not physically. He didn't even touch Yuuki, but she landed on the ground anyhow. How you might ask? Well, Yuuki, being Yuuki, did not want to get close to the stranger, so she stumbled backwards and lost her footing, all just to avoid getting close to the wild hooligan (Kazuki) physically. She really did not like being close to other people, and chose to risk getting hurt instead.

"Wah!"

Her golden eyes landed on Bishop who also fell, but he seemed to jump out of the way, landing a bit more intentionally than she had. She noticed the expression on his face, and despite doing everything she could to hold it back, she ended up laughing. This guy was just...weird. She wasn't sure why, but after seeing his expression, the laugh came out without permission. They nearly got knocked out, yet he wasn't even mad? He didn't seem phased by that animal's behavior even a bit, while inside she was fuming. She wanted to chew out that other guy more than she did Bishop, yet the blond seemed to forgive the stranger almost immediately. She didn't understand this boy at all (Bishop).

What a strange person. When her laughter died down, Yuuki realized that she'd dropped her guard, and quickly stood. She bowed in a formal manner toward the blond's (Bishop) general direction then immediately returned to her spot under the tree without another word. She opened her book again with a nervous haste, going over math problems to keep her mind off of what just occurred. It had been over three years since one of her classmates managed to make her laugh, and she'd known that girl her entire life. Five minutes and this goof of a person had her almost in tear jerking laughter? Just who was this guy, and what was with this kind and strange behavior? He didn't even try to argue with her over the music, nor did he insult her. He was the same way when the black haired boy (Kazuki) zoomed through like a monkey swinging through branches after a banana.

Her pencil moved across the paper quickly, though her thoughts were definitely distracted. She was not getting the problems done nearly as fast as she would have liked. Distraction.. see..? People are just obstacles that are meant to deter us from our goals.. After a few minutes she was able to regain composure and work on her homework in peace, but her gaze did discreetly drift back to the blond once or twice before that. She didn't even realize it, but she still had a light blush across her cheeks. The pink shade adorned her cheeks ever since her eyes met Bishop's after they evaded an incident with that wild boy (Kazuki).

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

At every attempt the blonde haired freshmen took at turning this into a positive conversation was shot down.... Terribly. If anyone was close enough to listen it would be absolutely brutal to hear the way she cut down his comments with counters of her own. The two were just far too opposite in their philosophies of thinking. However Bishop didn't fret in the least, at least on the outside. <Man... She's so cold.> "I don't have the time to hold grudges against people, so you have nothing to worry about. Just don't do it again, at least not around me."

"Ahh... R-Right." A small part of him rebelled, wanting to tell her off for demanding that he be inconvenienced because only one person out of the many around was offended. That wasn't fair at all, like the one person that gets offended by a joke so everyone has to watch what they say around the office from now on. But just like him, he relented and let her say what she wanted and accommodated. Bishop liked to make people happy, he was a people pleaser. The blonde girl was hard to read, but to be honest he wasn't very good in reading people and had been manipulated in the past. What plagued the young blonde was that people around him always thought that he was too nice. That he was trying too hard to be liked, or was trying to get people to like him for some suspicious reason. The worst was when girls thought he was trying too hard to show that he liked them, which lead him to instantly being manipulated in doing favors or going out of his way for someone. In his mind he was just doing people a favor, none the wiser even to this day.

After the commotion of that older kid (Kazuki) swinging past them, he looked to Yuuki nervously playing off his intentional flop as nothing more but an unfortunate event. He had a curious expression on his lips watching her for a moment, until the violet haired girl (Yuuki) started to laugh uncontrollably. He blinked and laughed nervously with her, having probably missed something that was so amusing. <Is she... Laughing at me?> He watched her continue until the laughter died. He was somewhat speechless unsure of what to say, so he just remained in his spot sitting still and watcher her stand up, bow then leave. Bishop blinked and slowly stood up watching her go. "She was... Definitely laughing at me." He sighed and lowered his head as a sweatdrop drooped from his head. "I'm such a dork..." Bishop moved to sit on the bench and moved to grab his earplugs and set them in, turning on some music again but only for him to listen to this time. He was oblivious to to Yuuki's glances keeping his head down, in a somewhat defeated manner. He figured it would be best to keep a low profile from here on out. Others probably saw and were sizing him up. He knew about the rumors of high school were, but that was American high school He was in a completely different pond now, and Bishop was a little fish. A little goldfish. His head flinched lower remembering that was a nickname some kids called him, when they made fun of him... Goldfish, because of his hair and that he swam. Bishop's hands slid to rest on his knees and clenched lightly while he looked down at his feet deep in thought, subconsciously biting at his lip while his eyes shimmered with doubt and memories.

BISHOP TRANDER

Bishop was lost in thought for what felt like some time. Nobody seemed to want to bother him which he was thankful for honestly. He raised his head and looked around at the mass of new students and senior class students mingling and cliqueing together like the usual high school kids. And here he was on the outside looking in, without meaning too. He tensed up again as his wide blue eyes wondered. "Tsch..." <This was suppose to be different this time around... No more standing on the side.> His mind was a whirlwind of emotions and angst. Scanning the area he saw plenty of people getting along, having a secret wish that he could be in with them. Even if he was just standing their quietly, he just wanted to be there. Not on this bench here like a loner. It made him think of that 'forever alone' meme, picturing that grotesquely drawn face sitting above his shoulders instead of his own.

A sudden wind would catch him by surprise snapping Bishop out of his funk. He looked for the side, out beyond the fence of the schoolyard and outside to the rest of the world. He looked around him to observe the serene view of his school campus. He sighed realizing how fortunate he was to be here. This was a prestigious private school that could give him the edge he needed to excel in life, both in Japan and America. Bishop clenched his hands into fists and looked up nodding to himself. <Alright. This is only the first day, heck- the first hour of the first day. I'll be fine, I've only met one person so far. Maybe she doesn't like me, but I can't let that effect how I treat everyone else. I can't.> Standing up, the young freshmen grabbed his backpack and casually flung it over his shoulder and began to walk towards the center courtyard with his head on straight again. If he wanted to make friends, he had to be active about it! However, a blonde head of hair caught his attention. He looked to see that it was an older woman vainly attempting to grab the student's attention. He tilted his head curiously thinking that she has to be a teacher. Another woman came up and pulled out a mega-horn to begin speaking.

ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ALL SENIOR AND JUNIOR STUDENTS HEAD OVER TO THE SCHOOL HALL FOR ANNOUNCEMENTS. SENIORS, PLEASE HELP GUIDE THE JUNIORS SHOULD THEY GET LOST. WE'RE RUNNING BEHIND ON SCHEDULE SO STAY SHARP."

Bishop's expression became screwed up seeing as he walked closer to try and hear, he was well within the blast radius of Ms. Araya's voice. He rubbed his ears hearing them ring and looked around with one eye shut in irritation. "Well... I guess I'll just follow the crowd." Bishop rubbed his head and looked around him seeing people slowly start to make their way to the school hall. His steps were slow as he walked in the general direction trying not to net lost, it probably wasn't that hard to find. He met and avoided glances of kids his age and older looking at the foreigner as if they could smell it on him. It put him a little out of place, but he was sure that a lot of people were just as tense as he was. Bishop looped his other arm through his back pack and held onto the shoulder straps following the crowd, but he couldn't shake the look of a lost-confused puppy from his face. Faces blended together making it somewhat harder to tell specific people out, especially those he saw earlier. He marched towards the entrance that everyone would be going to, which seemed to be the right way as far as he was concerned. <It's time for school- I guess.>

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

Bishop was in the middle of a giant heard of students funneling into the large school hall. He didn't really notice a specific face or person go by him amongst the crowd too caught up in reading the signs over each classroom door. <Ahuh.. So this is the building that the staff mainly works out of.> He sighed trying to get a feel for his new school. It was definitely different that any school he had been to in America or on a military base. From the uniforms to the layouts, he would have to see how things were when it came to assignments as well. But that was for later. The blonde shook his head reminding himself not to think too far ahead, that how you get discouraged. He took a breath and finally broke through the threshold of the school hall finding that since he walked so slow in order to not get lost, that many students had beaten him to get a seat.

"Aahh.... Ummm." He contemplated where to sit slowly walking down the left isle to find a seat. He first noticed a tall brown haired kid, sitting next to that blonde he saw earlier (Johnny & Arietta). But he didn't make a move to sit next to them, honestly not seeing the open seat. He moved further down the aisle beginning to think ins a vicious circle. <If I don’t sit now, more seats will be taken up. If the seats are taken up I’ll look weird. But what if I sit next to someone weird or mean? So I have to find a good seat! But if I don’t sit now-> On and on it went as he walked down the aisle until he reached the end and looked to the side and saw the purple haired girl from before (Yuuki) who yelled at him. He froze for a moment with wide eyes; if she looked to make eye contact he would turn awkwardly away and shuffle off <Like hell I’ll sit with her!> He didn't even take the time to notice the two other students sitting next to her (Shiori & Rhys). The American was having a bit of a hard time trying to assimilate in Japanese school, being spooked by a purple haired girl.

Bishop walked back up the aisle noticing some of the looks he was getting and decided to just take a seat anywhere. He opted for the right sight of the hall where there was a large gap between the row of seat in front of him, leaving the students sitting there with leg room. He removed his back pack and set it in his lap, looking around. To his surprise Bishop’s phone would ring, and he brought it up seeing it was a text from his dad; ’Hey son! Have a great first day at school. Always remember that me and your mother are proud of you and we love you very much.’ Bishop smiled at the message and replied back thanking his dad, but was interrupted by another male student. ’Hey, do you mind if we sit here? We’re trying to stay together.’ Bishop looked up seeing several junior class students looking down at him, their gazes curious seeing his foreignness. Bishop looked to his side seeing that the seats beside him were filling up and they didn’t have enough room for them all unless he moved. ”Ah… Sure-” ”Thanks!” Bishop spoke hesitantly wanting to be nice, but as soon as he began to speak they took his offer for an inch and made it a mile.

Slowly he stood up, once again seatless and sighed looking around clutching his backpack in his hand. It wasn’t like the others, some girls had cute charms or anime chibi characters on there’s. The same was for male students, though their bags were typically more conservative. Bishop’s backpack was an olive green, a military bag actually. He took off the American demarcations and insignias not wanting to stand out too much. However on his backpack were several pin buttons he acquired through his travels. He had 13 in all. Some were cities he’d visited or lived in, a few were companies that made products that he used for hobbies and some were music bands. All however were western, which was enough of a giveaway if one were to pay attention. Bishop now stood in near the center of the hall, looking back and forth to find an open seat. He’d take anything now…. Except if it was in front of next to that girl who scolded him (Yuuki). He spotted a seat to the rear of the hall and didn’t think twice about it. Bishop hurriedly went to take that seat just noticing a tiny girl sitting next to that seat (Mai). He looked down towards her automatically assuming she was a freshmen like him. He looked up seeing a silver haired, yet effeminate looking boy (Akira) sitting next to a super tall guy (Ryou). He gave the briefest of glances to them and went back to his phone to look over his text, and then hit ‘send’.

Bishop sighed and put his phone on silent, not expecting a text back and put his phone away. He fidgeted in his seat placing his unique backpack in his lap, only to look down to fuss with a few of the buttons lost in thought. Bishop was rather oblivious to what had happened before, keeping his head low with a troubled expression. From this point on, he figured that keeping a low profile on the first day wasn’t such a bad idea. He didn’t even think that suddenly sitting next to these people and not introducing would be rude, he was very use to the somewhat anti-social American culture. Bishop raised his head causing his blonde hair to sway gently, looking up only to see a few girls staring at him. He blinked and looked back not sure of what to do. He looked down at his uniform to see if it was something on him, then touched his face thinking maybe there was dirt or worse- a booger! When he found nothing, the freshmen heard laughing and just went back to looking down. Whatever it was, he had missed it like always. <This first day is not going to plan... I wish I was swimming.> He just hoped that the announcements would start soon so he could move on.

For whatever reason Mai felt a little bad about listening to the conversation. Sure she was sitting right beside Akira but to the small girl it seemed more like a conversation between the two of them. I shouldn't eavesdrop of their conversation. While she did feel bad for eavesdropping, she felt even worse for the fellow. To have to deal with all those girls must be difficult. Mai couldn't even imagine what it'd be like and she was sure she'd just end up fainting or something as a result.

"Your name?" Mai looked at him and bit her lip before giving her name. "K-Kon, M-Mai." Doing her best to stop the stutter, Mai gave him a weak smile. It was the second time she had introduced herself and she was rather proud. Most people overlook her due to her being mistaken for a middle schooler, and at its worst a grade schooler. When she thought about this very morning a few people thought Ren and her were father and daughter. In realizing the implications of that her face turned red again and she brought her hands up to cover her cheeks.

In that moment a small group of girls had approached Ryou. They began to ask him questions and her and Akira and she felt guilty for having brought this on him. Had they not sat next to Ryou maybe those girls would leave him alone. On second thought they probably wouldn't. She could imagine them trying to figure out who got to sit next to him which would cause more problems for Ryou. Maybe it was a good idea to sit here. It seemed Ryou took care of their presence with his next words. It certainly was true, he could talk with whoever he wanted to and it wasn't their business either. Letting out a sad sigh, Mai glanced at the girls as they apologized and left. They sent glares that could kill a person at Akira and her, sending shivers down her spine in the process.

There was very little going the way she had expected and Mai wasn't sure if she'd make any more friends. It wasn't like she had many friends at her old school. Most people teased her about her short stature which of course she took on the best she could. However the guys thought she was cute that way, along with her stutter, but they never told her in person. Mai didn't find out about this until a group of girls had confronted her about it. They had asked that she stop faking the stutter and actually act her age. That was when she came to realize just how annoying she could be because of her flaws. Once summer had started Mai cut her bangs so she could no longer hide behind them and her parents sent her to stay with her cousin.

Mai didn't hate them for it but she was a little sad that they sent her away. After staying at the shrine for a few days Ren had confronted her about her timidness and told her to try and overcome it. Almost every day he forced her into talking with not only him but the rest of the shrine. It was a good experience for Mai and she was thankful towards her cousin. Of course talking with people she grew to know and talking to complete strangers were two different things.

Coming back from her worrisome thoughts, Mai caught on the ending of their conversation. Like Akira she wondered what they would do to him. It wasn't like they could just beat him up or something, he was a guy after all. When it came to her, well that was a different story. Mai was a girl and girls could be extremely nasty. She only had to deal with it once and she was in no hurry to go through it again. There were stories of girls messing with other girls, and Mai had seen it on occasion. At the time she never thought much about it until those girls had confronted her.

Hurried movement brought her attention to the area on her right. Quickly looking up Mai saw that a blonde boy had sat down besides her, or rather plopped down. Their gazes just barely crossed but it was enough for Mai to look away. She knew she wasn't his focus of attention as he held a phone in his hand. Placing her hands on her lap, Mai couldn't help but notice the fidgety boy next to her which in turn made her fidgety. Maybe he's nervous too. Oh! I should say good morning right? Yeah come on Mai just say it. She repeated this in her head multiple times, practicing saying Ohayō aloud. Maybe just maybe there wouldn't be a tutter but she'd have to do it soon before the announcements came on. Come on! Say it! Just say it. Then it came out "Ohayō." Instead of actually be happy that she had managed to say it out loud, Mai was just happy that she didn't stutter.

Hopefully she wasn't too late in saying good morning to him. When Mai looked back at him she realized he was the kid from before. The one who had been playing music and later got chewed out by the purple haired girl. It was obvious that he wasn't from around here. The bookbag that he had was covered with various buttons that presented a western theme. Is he American? In noticiting this her curiosity rose but she couldn't bring herself to say any more.

Yuuki nearly fell asleep waiting for the program to begin. The loud and rowdy boy (Kazuki) from earlier seemed to be giving a teacher a lot of trouble, from what she could see. He was up front and somewhat appeared to be arguing with the adult. Perhaps that was why the program hadn't begun? Either way, she was a bit tired of seeing that guy around here. He seemed to cause trouble for everyone he met, and she wasn't looking forward to having a run-in with him, she'd surely tell him off way worse than she had the blond guy that had carelessly interrupted her studying with his wretched excuse for music. Suddenly she noticed that the seats around her began to fill in. There was a very cute and feminine blonde girl (Arietta) that chose to sit not too far off in the row behind her, along with a brunet male who chose to sit down a little while before the blond. He was sitting a bit closer to Yuuki, but was in the same row as the blonde female.

“Hajimemashite,”

The boy (Johnny) seemed to be attempting to converse with the girl (Arietta) and the male definitely seemed to be struggling with the language. He was doing rather well, but as a native of the language, Yuuki noticed the slight errors in his pronounciation. He was trying, so she couldn't fault him on that. Not to mention he wasn't very loud. That was something she definitely could applaud. The conversation wasn't very annoying, or perhaps it was because the entire room was buzzing with noise, either way, this wasn't a place she could study. She didn't mind the noise when it was suited for the situation, and this was a situation where others were expected to at least greet one another..

“My name is Johnny Farelli. My Japanese is not that good. It's nice to meet you.”

Even Yuuki almost laughed as she overheard that. Was he reading from a Japanese 101 handbook? She didn't turn around to look, or she probably would have laughed noticing the conversion book he held. She only caught glimpses of the two out of the corner of her eye. He was definitely foreign judging by his name, but was he American or Italian? She wasn't sure, but it was definitely food for thought.

Suddenly Yuuki froze. She got her own seat mate. She looked over and noticed a very 'classic' Japanese beauty (Shiori), well, aside from the girl's stunning gemstone eyes. Yuuki had never seen eyes that color, but she was fairly certain that not many were accustomed to purple hair. It was Yuuki's natural color, which even she found to be a bit odd, but she couldn't argue with the fact.

The girl didn't seem very social, but Yuuki decided to at least say hello and introduce herself if they were going to sit together, "Ohayo.. I am Fujioka, Yuuki." Her tone was formal, very serious and didn't seem to be very energetic like the blonde girl (Arietta) in the row behind them. The dark haired girl (Shiori) seemed to be waiting on someone to join them, because her head was turned away. Yuuki sighed a bit at this and adjusted her glasses. Perhaps she just wasn't suited for this kind of thing? It might have been a sign that she shouldn't try with others.. even when the timing permitted it. The two seats in front of her remained empty still, and Yuuki wondered when the program would begin. Perhaps the girl sitting beside her wouldn't notice her failed attempt to make idle chitchat? She noticed that blond guy from earlier and rolled her eyes as he fled the scene. Running away because he got scolded once? Wow. Pathetic.

"I have wondered
what they see in me
whether they imposed
their dreams on me or
do they make me their illusions
because, I can only be me."
================================

This Miyuu guy is quite talkative. It reminded him of his Aunt and his cousins. He was not bothered by it as everyone would initially think. Useless chatter or not, anyone was free to speak whatever is on their mind. It would be in his own decision whether he would react to any of it, but he would listen as much as he could. Just like how Miyuu was saying that girls like the small girl beside them is preferable.

It's not like he dislike girls like that in general. Ryou has high tolerance whether he knows it or not. It's just he didn't like the thought of them being overbearing to other people who simply wanted to talk or ask something. Jealousy... That was a normal feeling which he had felt on some occasions. If people like someone or something, the sense of monopoly is a normal thing. It's just that he knew how to portray it without making himself appear like some jacka**. It also seemed that Miyuu apologized about his one-sided argument towards the girls which was done out of his temper.

"It's okay. Just remember to always to take a step back. When you cross the line, there's no going back."

His voice held no resentment or superiority. He was simply speaking something that he has an idea about and sharing a thought, a word of caution to prevent certain bad things from happening. His eyes of silver looked on ahead, but it held a brief moment of sadness, then it was gone. He then gazed at the smaller girl who finally introduced herself as Kon Mai. The little girl was either having a speech defect or was timid.

He was betting on the latter one based on the encounters he had with her at the store. That's why it's nice to hear her voice from this perspective. He gave a nod to acknowledge that. "Kon-san, nice to meet you." He noted before his attention shifted back to Akira who spoke about being quiet to prevent trouble and something about coffee. "It's fine. Talk as much as you want..."

His eyes were now directed at Akira, those eyes which reminded one of the moon's mysterious light. "I like coffee." He added as a fact because the beverage was mentioned. There was no other reasoning behind it. Akira then stated that he was not worried about the possibility of the girls causing annoyance or trouble to him. Ryou wasn't sure if that was the wisest decision, but that was a nice thing to hear. His features softened ever so slightly. "Okay... thanks..." He then returned his attention to the front. He got lucky on having Akira and Mai as his seatmates. They were not troubling and annoying as well which was much welcome.

That was then he noticed some of the girls at front looking at their row. Most were looking at him in awe and in admiration, but when he caught them, they quickly looked away. He released a sigh at that and then found they were also looking at someone else. From the corner of his eyes, he noticed another new occupant who has blonde hair. At first, he thought it to be Aeon, but there were many differences on that part, so that was his bad. Then, he heard laughter which made the blonde boy lower his head head. In his judgement, it was due to embarrassment. It was then that Mai managed to greet the boy. That was a good start.

Ryou then noticed the boy's backpack with familiar pins. It has a western theme which he would relate to the states. Other than that, he noticed what the girls might have seen as peculiar. "Hey." He spoke that in his natural dialect which was English. His eyes gazed at the blonde boy. "There's a cherry blossom petal on your hair." He continued speaking in English. The way he spoke it was fluent and one could note that his tone remarked that he has been living in America for a very long time. The pink petal was sticking out against the yellow of the boy's hair. If the blonde-haired boy doesn't understand him and wasn't American, it was his bad then. "Don't take them seriously." He ended it at that and if the boy has no idea of what he was saying then, he would deal with it. Anyway for now, he looked to his front again, returning to his own solemn peace. until to the point it will last.

"It's okay. Just remember to always to take a step back. When you cross the line, there's no going back."

Akira nodded her head, "I know.. Arigato.." She responded, her eyes not meeting Ryou's as her thoughts began to flash back to the boy she'd hurt back in Britain, and her fists gripped at the dark school uniform trousers that she wore. She didn't want to think about that, even though it was an accident. He could have died because of their fight, and she still blamed herself, even though he started it. Luckily he didn't die though, that was a silver lining..

"Kon-san, nice to meet you."

Akira smiled a bit at this, glad that her new friend Mai seemed to be doing well in the conversation, well, as decent as a shy girl could accomplish. Akira wasn't even sure as why Mai's progress made her so happy, but it did anyhow. She was beginning to understand something that her therapist once said. It was becoming more apparent to her that emotions didn't always have to make sense, which only confused her even more in the end.

"It's fine. Talk as much as you want..."

"Hontou ni? (Translation: Really?)" Akira asked in a surprised tone. She never expected that, especially since she typically annoyed others with her hyperactive personality, especially back home in Britain. She wasn't used to others accepting her eccentric and sometimes overbearing behavior. She felt very blessed that Mai and Ryou were the first two people that she met, because she was aware that this could have gone a completely different way. Thank God.. they're both so nice and understanding

"I like coffee."

The eye contact was a bit intense, especially since there was something about Ryou's that she didn't quite understand, but she grinned at the mention of this. She really liked coffee, especially lattes and iced coffee, it was nice to know that they had something in common, especially since they'd be sitting here for a little while. It was definitely something to talk about later, and then she got an idea. She was about to speak up about it, but Ryou began to speak and Akira shut her mouth respectfully until he was done.

"Okay... thanks..."

"No problem. No one should stop someone else from making friends. Even if it's a horde of women." Akira chimed, laughing a bit as she mentally compared the girls that stalked Ryou to a horde of rhinoceros. They are definitely angry and mean enough.. Akira thought as she wiped her eyes, pushing the thought out of her mind before she made herself look like a fool. She didn't want to laugh too much, because she didn't want Mai or Ryou to think that she was weird or something.

"How about we all go get coffee sometime? My treat." Akira offered to her two seatmates. She wasn't sure if they'd want to go now, considering they'd all just recently met, so she chimed in again nervously, "It doesn't have to be today." After covering all her bases, Akira let her eyes to Mai, then to Ryou, looking for a reaction, trying to figure out how they'd respond. Sure, Akira didn't have a lot of money, but thankfully coffee was cheap, and she was scoring overtime on certain days... so a small splurge wouldn't hurt. Also, Akira wanted to make friends, and the easiest way was to hang out and treat them sometimes, right? If they made good memories together it would happen naturally without a lot of effort.. and they'd have the memories as a great added bonus.

"Ohayō."

It was right after she mentioned coffee that she noticed that a blond haired boy (Bishop) joined them, though she only realized it because Mai spoke up. Akira shot the blond a friendly smile, "Ohayo~" she rang, running a hand through her short ivory locks. It was so different posing as a boy... She wasn't sure if she'd ever get used to it.

"Hey."

Immediately Akira's eyes widened as Ryou spoke in English to the light haired male (Bishop). She didn't realize that Ryou knew English, which was her primary language, "You speak English too..?" Akira stated, also speaking English. It was then that her British accent came to life, and she blushed immediately upon realizing it. She still hadn't banished her accent entirely, apparently. She didn't realize it by the way he spoke at all, but perhaps it was because she was relatively new to Japan? She'd only been here about a year or two..

"There's a cherry blossom petal on your hair."

Akira chuckled at this and nodded at the blond (Bishop) to reassure him that Ryou was telling the truth. She hadn't noticed it until now, but there definitely was a blossom in his hair. This reminded her of the one she'd plucked from Mai's hair earlier, and she simply grinned to the small girl next to her, "You weren't the only one. He has one in his hair too." She stated, hoping to reassure the girl. She seemed really bothered by it earlier, so Akira hoped it would put Mai's mind at ease. She didn't even realize Mai was uneasy about it because Akira (who was dressed like a boy) touched her hair so casually. She was used to British life, where touching someone that you'd just met was relatively normal.

“For juniors, I encourage you with the school motto Keizoku wa chikara nari. High school while a time for fun and meeting new friends is not always easy or as bright as expected. It is a challenging time, debatably the most challenging phase of your life as you go through stages that test you as an individual in a society that thrives on conformity. At Airdalen, we are not all about conformity. We believe in exploring new possibilities, new experiences and that those tough times that can come with being different can serve to strengthen the being. Continuing after setback is strength in itself. Airdalen Academy is all about continuing, your decision to continue and seek higher studies. One day, you will also be in the same position of our seniors so don't feel as if you will never get there.”

“I will now be handing out folders to the seniors with your activities inside. Juniors please remain seated and await your assigned senior. Compared to previous years, we will also be assigning team names due to the feedback we received from our graduated seniors. You are free to discuss your team name with your partner and change it to another animal provided it isn’t taken already. We will be proceeding with activities once everything has settled, thank you.”

She definitely didn't feel that she would get along with that female teacher.. (Ms. Araya) She would avoid speaking to the teachers at all cost, seeing as if they ever found out she wasn't really a boy, she'd be in big trouble. She'd possibly be expelled, and being expelled by Airdalen Academy would do her no favors in the future. Akira sat still, just as instructed seeing as she didn't have to move, one of the few perks of being a Junior. Though, she was getting a bit restless. Sitting still definitely was becoming a bit boring. She wanted to run around and get active. Her legs were aching to move. She thought they'd at least be in classes or something by now.. Though she wasn't very familiar with the Japanese school year. She was still getting the hang of it. Akira looked over to Mai, smiling weakly. She was a bit nervous about this program. What if she didn't get along with her Senior? Would she be able to keep them from finding out that she's a girl?

BISHOP TRANDER

Image

"Ohayō." Bishop blinked hearing a tiny voice speaking to him and looked over to see the black haired girl looking up to him. Their eyes locked for a moment, he was sure that she was talking to him. "Ohayo~" his eyes followed that voice to find a silver haired boy, although an effeminate looking one greet him as well. He assumed that they were both together, seeing as they appeared to be the same age as him. "O-Ohayo?" He had honestly never heard of that greeting before. He looked confused for a moment, letting his accented words hang in the air for a moment. He blinked realizing that he was being rude and turned to give them both his full attention. "Uhh-" Bishop bowed slightly and closed his eyes, only to come back up with a warm smile on his face. "Good morning. It's a pleasure to meet you, and thank you for letting me take this seat next to you." His Japanese wasn't perfect, but he had a practiced accent. He was far past the phase of mispronouncing the words so that another word came out by mistake. In the back of his mind, he heard his mother scold him about how gentlemen always introduce themselves first. "I'm Bishop." His smiled broadened again showing his teeth, however his cultural and social awareness was somewhat lagging. He had never been properly trained in introducing himself on a 'last name, first name' basis. In American culture, you usually just said your first name and that was that. So he simply said his first name, an honest mistake.

"Hey." Bishop's eyes snapped immediately to the person that spoke his native tongue finding a tall older male (Ryou) talking to him. "There's a cherry blossom petal in your hair. Don't take them seriously." He blinked and slowly reached up to pluck the pedal in his hair out and looked at it. He glanced to the girls in front of them that were still casting glances their direction, relieved that he finally got the peddle out. "Ahh... Thank you!" He called out back in American English. A small smile on his face grew back, with the realization that not everything was going to go bad on this day. Bishop tossed the peddle away. Bishop opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted by an amplified voice coming from the front of the room.

“Gooood Morning!” "Woah." He looked at the man on the screen finding someone with blonde hair like him. Were foreigners somewhat common at this school? He understood that this school was usually for the higher echelon of society, but the fact that it meant more people that were like him were here was a warming thought. He would pause his conversation for now and listen, reading the subtitles not because he needed to but he was on the look out for any words he didn't recognize in Japanese so he could try and get an idea.

“Allow me to introduce myself; I am Airdalen Academy’s principal Dr. Gorou Endo. For seniors, I encourage you to make the most of your final year before the college entrance exams and before leaving Airdalen in general. The time you spend partying compared to the time you spend studying makes all the difference to what career options are available to you in the future. Not one to brag, Airdalen’s reputation and connections that I have spent years building up to has led to this moment, your final year. I have done my part but it is up to you to seize this opportunity as a student here under this high school’s name, to put in the extra mile that will determine the rest of your life from this point onward."

Bishop smiled more, being at a minimum a little motivated by the principles speech. He adjusted in his seat and listened on.

This part was really speaking to the young freshmen. He nodded silently to himself, thinking of all the things that possibly laid before him in his future. He had swimming to look forward to, making and meeting new friends and experiencing the culture that was the other side of his family whole-heartedly. A small fire began to burn in his eyes and that smile turned into a confident grin. Sure the first few hours seemed like disaster, but this was the pick me up the young blonde needed. With the people sitting to his right, it seemed that not everyone here was going to hate him. That was a success in itself, at least in the teenage mind.

“To all students— Oh, that’s my cue to leave then…
In short, everyone, I do wish you all wholeheartedly the very best with your studies. Keep in mind I do not mean to alert you, just prepare you for the future as I am confident the Airdalen staff members are trying to do for you as well so please respect them too in my absence. Enjoy your first day back!”

Bishop was half tempted to wave goodbye, but decided not too. He perked his head up hearing someone clear their throat.

Bishop nodded and sat down as he was suppose to do, there wasn't much else he could do anyways. He looked around as the seniors began to get up and shuffle to pick their folders up, his mind thinking about who he might be paired with. He turned to the trio beside him with his constant soft smile and blue eyes. "So... Umm, you excited to meet your seniors?" He smiled sheepishly, feeling a little lame for having small talk on an obvious topic but it was all his mind could think up to say at the moment.

“For seniors, I encourage you to make the most of your final year before the college entrance exams and before leaving Airdalen in general. Arietta turned her head to listen as the principal mentioned the Seniors, not that she was being motivated by the speech. He was talking about grades and academic reputation. No one cared about that stuff, and the people who did typically were at the bottom of the social food chain. Her grades were not in jeopardy, she knew she would get into a good college. She wasn't worried about improving her grades, too much. Sure, she would put forth effort, but she was more interested in making her final year count socially, to rank up a lot of popularity points. She wanted to be someone that her classmates would never forget, but for a good reason. She wanted to make friends, she wanted it so desperately that she sometimes would lie to make others like her better. She doesn't consciously choose to lie, it just sort of happens, and she later regrets doing it. It's a habit she wishes she could nip in the bud.

One day, you will also be in the same position of our seniors so don't feel as if you will never get there.”

Oh, so we mention making friends for the Junior students? They're not the only ones having a hard time with that.. Sure, she had a few friends, but nothing close. She was mostly just in acquaintance to everyone. She didn't have a specific friend circle. She would hang out and talk to just about anyone, but she didn't really 'belong' to one group. She didn't have anyone she could go shopping or have lunch with.

“To all students—“

Why didn't they edit this out of the video? Embarrassing much? Arietta thought, brushing her hair back as she criticized the film production. In her mind, this was almost like being forced to watch your ten year old brother's first home movie. Had no one heard of cutting out unsightly interruptions? She didn't really care, but it was irritating her inner perfectionist.

“Oh, that’s my cue to leave then…
In short, everyone, I do wish you all wholeheartedly the very best with your studies. Keep in mind I do not mean to alert you, just prepare you for the future as I am confident the Airdalen staff members are trying to do for you as well so please respect them too in my absence. Enjoy your first day back!”

The principal returned on topic, and Arietta was getting tired of the speech. She wanted the staff to get a move on with this program and get it over with. She had better things to do than babysit a snot nosed freshmen all day. Well, that's how she saw it at least. She often neglected to remember that she was once a freshmen as well.

"Sayonara." Arietta stated in a casual tone towards Johnny. She couldn't stick around and lag behind on this. She didn't want to be that senior. If she was the last one to receive their folder, she'd end up keeping her Junior waiting. She didn't want to cause a delay, that would be uncool, the complete opposite of what she was trying to achieve for herself. She approached Ms. Araya without a single word of recognition. She waited to be handed her folder, and blinked at the word written on it. Wolves, huh? That's not so bad. She thought to herself with a smile. Then her eyes shifted to the picture of a male student (Bishop), whom she deducted to be her freshman partner. He was blond, much like herself and he had blue eyes as well. This was definitely going to lead to a lot of misunderstandings, she just knew it. There were just too many physical similarities between them. Natural blonde hair wasn't exceedingly common among the Japanese. Great.. She thought to herself with a strong sense of dread.

Arietta began looking through the room, her eyes scanning the room carefully as she mentally went through the process of elimination. She located all of the blonde students, then narrowed it down to the males, and with just a little bit of effort, she managed to locate her freshman. (Bishop) He happened to be in the back of the room, sitting near the spot she'd noticed Ryou when she walked in with Saburo. She made her way from the front towards where her partner sat. Her approach was a confident strut, and once she was in close enough of a proximity to hold decent conversation, she introduced herself, "Ohayo, I'm Hakushiro Arietta, your Senior partner." She spoke first in Japanese, but decided to show off a little bit, and repeated herself in English, just in case. He was blond after all, so he likely wasn't from around here. She knew there was a chance she was wrong, considering she was raised in Japan her entire life, but still it was worth it. She didn't want to intimidate him with a foreign language if he wasn't Japanese. The presentation was subtitled in English, so she felt it was necessary to equally accommodate as well. There were two other students present that Arietta didn't recognize (Akira and Mai), but they weren't her concern, so she ignored them entirely.

"I have wondered
what they see in me
whether they imposed
their dreams on me or
do they make me their illusions
because, I can only be me."
================================

The conversation if that's how it could be described between the three of them led to Akira's invitation. He got no reason to reject it and it's free. "Sure, but not today." He said in his ever casual tone. He has other arrangements after school. "Another time." That was when the blonde-haired boy (Bishop) sat on their row and he unequivocally used the language he's most familiar with, English.

It caught Akira's attention who threw a question about him knowing how to speak English. "Yeah." That was Ryou's simple answer and he didn't expound on that while he noticed Akira having a British accent, as the guy spoke in English. He was familiar with it because of his British Aunt, but he didn't point that out and simply kept it to himself. His attention then shifted to the other boy (Bishop) who aired his gratitude. "It's nothing." He answered back still in English as he returned his attention to the front.

It was rightly on time too as the program began with the Principal delivering the welcome speech. He was not that entirely startled with the foreign looks of the man. He grew up in a country with diverse ethnicity, but this is the first time he had ever seen the Principal, so it's a bit surprising to see the man is not pristine looking as the reputation of this school. The guy isa mystery, a traveler, seeing the guy is not here at Airdalen and most of the days too. That's not a bad thing really, the school is still functioning.

Then, it was done. Ms. Araya asked the seniors to get their folders. It's now official that he's a senior. He would be as said in the Principal's speech should be thinking about his future and all.

That's easier said than done, because right now, everything is just a distraction, until he could finally... Ryou stopped his thoughts at that and simply stood from his seat. He's required to get his folder and to know the freshman who's assigned to him. He pushed back his chair, but not before returning it in place and to make his exit. It's easier. He didn't want to bother the others and they were at the last row so, there's nothing wrong with what he did. "See you around. Miyuu-san, Kon-san." He reverted to Japanese and then, he paused a while to look at the blonde boy (Bishop). There was no question that he's really a giant among the students here and those silver eyes that seemed to envelope everyone in its gaze. No wonder others couldn't help but attached their eyes on him. "Enjoy Airdalen." This one spoken in English. He then gave them a polite nod of the head before he went to the front to get his folder.

When, he got his folder. The freshmen especially the girls all wondered who he got, they wanted it to be them, seeing this as a great opportunity to get close to such a hunk in their personal description. They tried to get a peek and waited for Ryou to approach them and so, but their hopes were crushed. Ryou got a guy with the name Johnny Farelli, from the name alone, he could guess that this new guy is a foreigner. Anyways, the school year was starting out to be good. This would save him from another round of hounding girls. He looked at the ID picture and recalled that he had seen this guy somewhere. He mused on that before his eyes widened a fraction at his realization. "That guy..." He finally remember the guy he saw at the grounds earlier who was almost as tall as him.

In that case, it won't be hard to spot this junior (Johnny) in the hall. His eyes searched the hall and found the guy on the opposite side of his seat earlier. It seemed the freshman (Johnny) also considered other people due to the towering build they both possessed. He walked towards his junior and then stopped with enough distance between them and in a spot he won't blocked the others. "Johnny Farelli?" He spoke in his perfect English using his hunch that the guy was not a Japanese native. If wrong, then, he'll just go with the flow. He was no translator, but English is the universal language, right? When he got Johnny's attention, he showed the front of his folder where Johnny's picture is clipped. "I'll be your senior, Ryou Giou." He then extended his other hand for a handshake while his silver eyes landed on the younger guy, it was really peculiar shade and rare. The handshake whether it was done or not, his grip was firm and strong, but it wasn't overbearing or hurtful. When it's done, he returned his free hand to his side and spoke again. "We'll be..." He glanced at the folder's cover to read the word written there in black. "Cheetahs..."

Animals were fine as long as they stay in the imagination and away from him especially the ones who have fur. "If you want another name, tell me." He was actually fine with whatever team name. It wasn't a big deal for him. His voice never raised a notch and was calm with the ambiance of gravity delivering his words to always have weight, significance. He then opened the folder to see its contents. There were pens, papers, a school map, class schedules for both of them, balloons, and gums. Is there something else to be done here? Anyway, he handed the ones, he believed are to be for Johnny. "Your schedule and map." The map was not needed by Ryou, since he knew well-enough the school grounds. For the rest, he kept it in the folder unless instructed.

"If you have questions, ask away." Ryou told Johnny and never once did he speak in Japanese. All of his words were in English. It also wasn't spoken with a Japanese accent, but an American one which was odd as Ryou appeared to be Asian including his coloring except for the height. Anyways, some of the girls were sneaking glances at them, blushing mostly at Ryou even the other female seniors were gossiping among themselves about the two being partners. They will be hard to ignore as they are giants and seemingly athletic because of their built at the same time. They are already being labeled as the Powerhouse team. Well, they would just have to wait and see if these two would synchronize or not.

Cassiopeia is completely oblivious from the looks she was receiving from the other students whether it came from the boys or the girls. She entered the hall and all eyes were immediately on them or on her. The seniors knew her very well while the freshmen were in awe of her appearance. She was like the very model of what a princess from a fantasy world should look like which earned her nickname, Pink Princess, but popularity, reputation and things like that didn't matter to her at all. This is would be odd, since she's one of the popular girls or even daresay the most popular in the academy. She's very social which at times can be overbearing which she doesn't mean to. That's why Aeon is very helpful in those areas just like earlier, reminding her to take a step back, but she's still well-liked for she's a very genuine person which makes it very hard not to like her.

The seats were mostly occupied and the ones where they could all sit together was at front. "It's a good thing we made even if it's barely..." She said with a bright smile, since they're not late. There's no questions about where to sit from her point of view. She followed Gen's lead and sat beside her with such elegance for very little effort. Clio finally reached its mistress and landed on her lap with it's ears flapping. "There you are Clio!" She greeted it which happily replied. "Clio made it!" That's when she noticed that Kazuki was on the same row as them. He was actually Gen's seatmate. "Hi Kazuki-kun!" She greeted him with a smile and then looked at his nose in delight not minding that the band-aid she placed was gone. "It seemed to be better now. Does it still hurt?" There's concern on her eyes, but her attention shifted when the program finally began.

She looked at the projector screen and had that wide-eyed look on her face. It was priceless in a very adorable way. She had never met the principal before. He looks to be a very nice and cheerful man. She would like to someday meet the principal in person, because this is a wonderful school where she has so many fond memories and will continue to make more for this year. The speech was wonderful and when it ended she clapped her hands not only for politeness but because, she liked what she heard from the principal. It was then Ms. Araya's turn who told them that the seniors are to come up at the front to pick their folders which contained their freshman partner or for the other word junior.

She was very excited about this and can't wait. "I'm so excited to know who will be my junior! Are you excited too, Gen-chan? Kazuki-kun?" She asked the two and then looked at Vika. "I wonder who's your senior partner going to be, Vika!" Cassiopeia was in full glow of excitement as she then looked at Aeon. "This is so much fun! Isn't it?" Clio supported her as always. "Fun! Fun! Clio agrees!" She then smiled happily as she stood up from her seat while Clio bounces at her side again and went to Ms. Araya. "Good morning, Araya-sensei!" She greeted the teacher and then took her folder. "Thank you!" She looked at the ID attached at the front. "Wow... So pretty... Look Clio, don't you think so?" Clio bounced higher to see the picture and spoke in agreement. "Clio agrees! Clio agrees!"

She happily returned to her seat to show her the others her junior partner. "Look everyone! Look Aeon! She's very pretty! She's my junior!" She showed the junior's picture proudly to Gen, Kazuki, Vika, and Aeon. That's when Clio interjected with a very well-timed fact about her junior partner. "Clio! Clio agrees pretty boy! Pretty boy!" She had a startled expression as she looked at Clio in question. "Eh? Boy? Isn't she a girl? Akira... Blake?" Clio answers. "Boy! Boy! Clio reads boy!" She looked at the ID again and there's the gender which stated male. "Oh... you're right... A boy..." She nodded and the burst into a smile. "Well, he's very pretty for a boy! So cute!"

That's when she hugged the folder closed to her chest. "I'll be looking for him then! Wish me luck okay? I'll see you all later." She happily waved at them and then went on her way as she looked around the hall. "Hmm... Clio, do you see him anywhere?" Clio continued to bounce happily and then its eyes began to blink red in affirmation. "Clio sees! Clio sees!" Cassiopeia brightened at this info. "Where!? Clio show me the way!" Clio did so as it bounces towards Akira while some of the students moved out of the way and looked at the bouncing pink ball in surprise and curiosity while Cassiopeia followed behind. Clio soon was in front of the junior partner (Akira), bouncing with zest. "Clio found pretty boy! Clio found pretty boy!"

"There you are Clio! Oh! You found him!" Cassiopeia was now behind Clio which bounced towards its mistress in pride. "Clio good! Clio good!" She lightly giggled at this. "Yes, you did good Clio." That was then she noticed another presence, this was familiar to her. "Arietta-chan, good morning!"She greeted her fellow senior with a bright smile. She didn't expect to see Arietta and was happy that she did. "How was your vacation? I wish you had lots of fun." She asked with a sincere smile, then she looked at her junior partner (Akira) and the others present there (Bishop and Mai). "Are one of them your junior partner, Arietta-chan?" She asked and then introduced herself to the freshmen. That should be common courtesy. "Hello and good morning, everyone, I hope you're enjoying Airdalen. My name is Cassiopeia Elegy Argryis." She introduced herself with such a natural sophistication similar to that of princesses without any effort while Clio bounces happily at her side in which she gestured for it to come which it did.

She was now holding Clio as she presented it to them. "This is my friend Clio." Clio happily introduced itself. "Clio! Clio's name is Clio! Nice to meet ya!" She then looked at her junior partner with such kindness. "You must be Akira Blake, right? I will be your senior." She showed the ID picture on the folder. "See? It's a pleasure meeting you and everyone as well." She smiled at them kindly and without a hint of anything except for sincere friendliness.

"See you around. Miyuu-san, Kon-san."

Oops... I said Miyuu instead of Blake to Ryou, didn't I? That's my grandmother's last name, not my actual surname.. C-crap! She immediately began to panic. She would have to straighten that out and be more careful next time, because she'd create a lot of misunderstandings. She was so used to telling others she was Miyuu-san's grandson that she'd accidentally used it as her own last name when introducing herself to Ryou.

"So... Umm, you excited to meet your seniors?"

Bishop's question got her to stop fretting over her mistake, and Akira nodded her head, speaking in a British accent again, "Yeah, kind of... I just hope I don't accidentally say the wrong last name again.. I told Giou-san that my last name was Miyuu.. that's my maternal grandmother's last name... I was given my step-father's.." She explained, all in English. She wasn't sure if Mai knew how to speak English, so she repeated herself in Japanese as well. This was definitely going to be an interesting day. She had a feeling she was going to be speaking broken Japanese or English before the day was over. Switching between the two would eventually get confusing.

"Clio found pretty boy! Clio found pretty boy!"

Akira couldn't help but stare at the pink little ball, completely baffled. She'd never seen anything like it, and for some reason it was calling her 'pretty boy'. Well, she was dressed as a guy, and pretending to be one, but she didn't really feel like she qualified as pretty, as a boy or a girl. W-What is that...? A bomb? Akira asked herself mentally, looking to Bishop and Mai, hoping they would know.

"There you are Clio! Oh! You found him!"

Her blue eyes landed on the owner of the contraption, and the girl appeared to be a bit older than Akira, but the folder that the beautiful blossom haired woman held definitely confirmed it. It was only then that it registered to Akira whom the pink haired girl was, and why the girl's little orb had been searching for her. Akira stood and bowed immediately in respect.

"Clio good! Clio good!"

Artificial intelligence? Wow.. This school is full of rich people. She didn't realize just how elite of a school this was until just now. Akira could never afford something like that pink ball. It seemed a bit childlike, but it was still smarter than anything Akira could ever afford, so she couldn't hide that she was genuinely impressed by it.

"Yes, you did good Clio."

Clio? The name was easy to say, especially since Akira grew up speaking English, so she was a bit relieved by that. At least she knew the little robot's name. Though she still wasn't sure what her Senior's name was. She tried to sneak a peek at the folder that the Senior held, but she began talking to the girl that introduced herself to Bishop as Arietta Hakushiro. Akira was well aware that the Japanese addressed themselves by last name, first name... but she was born in Britain so she was mentally wired to say it the other way, every time she introduced herself she had to force it out backwards and it felt generic. Akira kind of toned out of Arietta's and the pink haired girl's conversation, because it was none of her business. She ended up shrugging her shoulders in confusion to Mai and Bishop in confusion, because this was pretty awkward, at least she thought so.

"Hello and good morning, everyone, I hope you're enjoying Airdalen. My name is Cassiopeia Elegy Argryis."

The girl was so charismatic and feminine. Akira couldn't help but kind of idolize her. She wanted to be more like that, but no matter how hard she tried, she was never like that. She always turned to sports or her fists whenever she got angry, and Akira couldn't apply her own makeup to save her own life. The only time she ever tried her mother took a photo, because Akira had a 'clown' face after the attempt. Needless to say, the photo was so traumatizing that she never bothered to do it again, so she never got any better at it.

"This is my friend Clio."

Akira now got a better look at the little pink orb, and she tilted her head in curiosity, scratching at her hair. Did she have to charge this thing before she brought it to school, if so, where was the charge port? Akira didn't see a single slot for that. Maybe it was in the back or underneath? She wasn't going to ask, but it was definitely an interesting thought, but also a bit too complicated for the less than studious Akira.

"Clio! Clio's name is Clio! Nice to meet ya!"

"Kawaii. I'm Akira-kun, Clio-san." Akira stated in a casual tone, examining Clio. She wondered how it worked, and how it could respond to others so accurately. How many phrases did it know? Could it help her cheat on tests? She kind of hoped it wouldn't get swiped in class, it'd be sad if her Senior lost the cute little pink ball.

"You must be Akira Blake, right? I will be your senior."

"H-Hai. I'm Blake, Akira. It's very nice to meet you. I hope we get along very well, Senpai." Akira stated, hoping that she wasn't wrong about this. This girl is my Senior? Akira thought looking her over for a second, but not in a strange or inappropriate way. She focused primarily on the girl's face, because well, Akira wasn't actually a boy.. so she didn't share their perversions. She wasn't interested in anywhere else. She could tell that the stranger was attractive just by looking at her face, neck, and shoulders. She didn't have to see anymore to verify that. The ball even bounced back to the senior girl, which caused Akira to look down at it once more.

"See? It's a pleasure meeting you and everyone as well."

Akira barely remembered taking that picture, but it definitely made things official. She was a bit curious about their team name, so she kind of blurted it out, "If you don't mind me asking, what's our team name, Argryis-san?" She was a bit excited, especially if they'd be doing any physical activities today. She was sporty, and she definitely wanted to be moving. She'd had her fill of sitting down. She was ready to run, jump, and have fun.
