Role: Hero
Appearance: Jampa is a young man believed to be in his early 20's, with unkempt black hair that's long enough to nearly cover his dark violet eyes. He has a lean physique, seasoned over the course of ten years' training in the mountains of Tibet, and has earned a number of scars to show for it. That being said, many have told him he should feel lucky no permanent damage left its mark on his handsome face, as it may have twisted his otherwise bright and carefree smile.
His regular attire consists of loose clothes, fit for fighting, which are better described as baggy black pants and a simple white, sleeveless tunic. He carries with him a long tan colored coat with a high collar for use under the right weather conditions, while his hands are wrapped tight with white binding, as is associated with boxers. His feet are fitted with simple socks and blue slip-on shoes, made for quick movement and easy mobility while in combat. He is usually very scuffed up and rather dirty, as he is always on the move from place to place.

History: Jampa's history is a mystery even to him. Ten years prior to recent events, he was found lying in a crater, broken and unconscious outside a quiet, secluded mountain village somewhere in the Kham region of Tibet. The kind villagers there, having gone to investigate what had appeared to be the crash-landling from space, chose to nurse him back to health despite their hesitancy to help an outsider.
Upon regaining consciousness, Jampa immediately realized he had no idea who he was or where he'd come from. Nevermind where he had ended up... To make matters worse, none of the villagers could understand him, nor he them. The language barrier was harsh, but time told they would overcome. Jampa spent nearly a year to fully recover from his injuries and the damage to his very mind over whatever trama that had befallen him, but his memories seemed lost for good. The only thing that is assumed of his old life, is that he must have been some kind of samurai, based on the fact that he'd carried with him a rather unqiue blade, similar in style to that of a katana, albeit with a much longer reach, and robes with added chest armor befitting some kind of shaman-warrior.
Shortly after recovering, Jampa decided to change his overall outward look; cutting his hair, changing his clothes, etc., simply because he didn't like how his previous self appeared, which, to him, seemed rather "mean-looking". And so, altering his appearance to match his current personality was what he did.
During his recovery, he had become rather well-versed in the Tibetan language, which would certainly help him with his work there. Feeling as though he would never be able to truly repay them for their kindness, he decided it was the least he could do but to help them take care of their village. So he worked, and acquired a great many different skillsets during his time with them. Due to his kindhearted nature and overwhelming sense of love, the village took to calling him "Jampa," for which Jampa felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. He had found a home in them, from his perspective...the moment he woke up.
The once quiet village suddenly became not-so-quiet, with Jampa running around. But, they considered thoughtfully, it was as a nice change.
It didn't take long for the villagers -- and Jampa himself, for that matter -- to learn that he was special. That he wasn't an ordinary man. Finding him in a smoking crater should have been evidence to the fact alone. Occasional oddities that transpired around him eventually led to the village elder suggesting that Jampa see the master monk, who resides in the temple atop the mountain, as he, too, was no ordinary man. Because it sounded like fun, Jampa agreed to go.
Upon meeting the master monk Tenzin, Jampa was able to learn more about himself. He discovered, with Tenzin, that he come from a dark past, yet was rapidly heading for a bright future, and that to reach it, he would need to master control over the darkness within him. Tenzin felt that the best way to discipline Jampa for such a journey, would be through the practice and mastery of martial arts. Tenzin quickly noticed that the young man had an aptitude for the art, and chose to truly test the boy's limits.
One day, months into their training, Tenzin pushed Jampa a little too hard, and it resulted in the activation of Jampa's powers. For an instant, Tenzin allowed Jampa to lay witness to his true strength, and his body reacted out of instinct to protect him from the technique Tenzin was about to unleash upon him. This was something that Tenzin was not expecting, as he understood that Jampa's power hailed darkness, but when his attack, which would ordinarily have left a man unconscious for days, connected with what felt like a steele fortress, he was flabbergasted. Jampa still reeled from the blow, and a red mark was left on his bare chest, but he remained on his feet. When asked what Jampa had done to stop the strike, he had only replied with "I dunno. I just tightened my pecks and tried to take it."
The remainder of Jampa's training consisted entirely of applying focus to his newfound control over the muscles in his body. If nothing else, than to draw him away from the dark...
Before long, ten years had gone by. Cherishing the time he had spent with the friends and family of his new life, Jampa had decided that it was time for him to journey on, as he had been highly interested in exploring the rest of the world he had yet to see with fresh eyes. Saying his heartfelt goodbyes to all those he had come to love and respect, who had in turn done the same for him, he set off on a lifelong adventure full of surprises...
Personality: Jampa's personality is best described as carefree, laid back, and earnest. He is generally always in a good mood, and rarely lets anything bring him down. He has a strong sense of goodwill and is very kind towards just about anyone. While a very capable fighter, nearly an expert in his craft, he is also somewhat softhearted, which tends to be his weakness when faced with those who would take advantage of his naivety and ignorance. Most of his fellow villagers often talk about how he is pure of heart; holding no ill intentions or negative thoughts. Quick to forgive but never forget (the irony), even he can be pushed to the point of pure anger. The only things that truly seem to matter to the young fighter are: his friends and family; protecting the innocent; his worth as a martial artist; and training being his favorite thing to do, aside from a good and honest fight. His mentality allows him to forsake his own safety if it means protecting someone in danger. Despite being described as a bit of an airhead when it comes to serious topics among those of his "hometown", he actually has a fair amount of intelligence, although he never truly seems to use it outside of a fight; his ignorance of the world around him constantly gets in the way of that. Possibly the one most interesting trait that Jampa has is his love for fighting. He's always eager to test his limits and capabilities, never backing down from a challenge. In all likelihood, HE would be the one challenging YOU. He regards strong individuals with utmost respect, as well as people who have a strong sense of conviction or resolve, and although he isn't one to lose as often as day turns to night, he only ever feels the need to become that much stronger when he does, never taking a loss to heart. A truly understanding and noble human being, while at the same time holding a strong passion for fighting. Jampa appears to have quite the personality indeed.
Passive Powers: Everlasting youth. It didn't take long for Jampa and the villagers who took him in to notice that he doesn't appear to age. After ten years had passed, without even a single gray hair, wrinkle, or change in complexion, and they were really beginning to think he was an alien. Then again, it wasn't uncommon for some people to hide their age well. That was probably the case with Jampa, too...
Main Power: Limit Break - Jampa is capable of pushing past his physical limits by increasing his personal control over his body's muscle structure. Jampa is able to increase his use through different levels of control, with Level 0 being is his natural state upon which he only relies on the use of his natural energy, lungta in Tibetan (Qi in Chinese, and Ki in Japanese), whereas Level 1-2 allows him to push beyond what should be possible of the average human body's capabilities, making him faster, stronger and tougher. Level 3 is the starting point of borderline "danger zone" scale for the those around him, making him 3 times as powerful than normal. He can change this system up to 5 levels to date. With this, Jampa is able to advance past his physical capabilities and become ultimately more powerful than his natural state, meaning that, in a way, he "cheats" the system of his current level of regular training, borrowing from his future realized potential in order for him to cut loose when his current efforts aren't enough now. Strength, Speed, Endurance, Technique and Control. These 5 traits make up his power. Through proper training, he can raise the bar higher, increasing the amount of level by scaling. For example; when he first discovered this ability, he only had 2 levels to work with. He only very recently unlocked the 5th, which is extremely dangerous to his personal wellbeing. He can still only use up to 100% at best, but the amount of power within each increase between every level is naturally higher after fruitful training of the body.
Statistics of Power
Base Level: Can use the same amount of control > strength any average martial artist typically can, which is roughly around 10% > 50-60%; Jampa sits closer to 50%
Level 1: Can control 30% of his muscle structure, allowing him use of 70% of his strength
Level 2: Can control 40%, allowing for 80%
Level 3: Can control 50%, allowing for 90%
Level 4: Can control 60%, allowing for 100%
Jampa's current soft limit
Level 5: Can control 75%, allowing for 150% -- this WILL result in serious damage and require extensive recovery time, as it pushes his body to its breaking limit.
Jampa's current hard limit
Level 6: 80%, allowing for 160%
Level 7: 85%, allowing for 170%
Level 8: 90%, allowing for 180%
Level 9: 95%, allowing for 190%
Level 10: 100%, allowing for 200%
Jampa currently cannot even fathom the potential displayed above. He is nowhere near those limits yet.
Anything past that (if Jampa ever reaches it) can only grow stronger through personal growth, not by way of powers. 100% control is literally COMPLETE control. He cannot go past that. But the output can go past 200% through training.
It is possible for him to exceed the current limit of his system at will, but the theory in doing so would likely result in catastrophic repercussions for his body; his muscles would tear themselves apart. Level 5 is dangerous enough as it is, so Jampa never forces himself past that.
The method Jampa uses in order to perform this ability is understood, by him, as channeling all of his lungta and focusing it on specific areas of his body. He can make one area tougher, more malleable, or anywhere in-between, or distribute it equally throughout his body for an all-around effect. This naturally becomes more useful the further past his limits Jampa goes. Full control would be akin to Superman. Where he is at now is closer to Iron Fist when focusing a single point, or to Luke Cage when distributing.
Secondary Power: Control over shadows or dark energy. Jampa does NOT have access to this as of now. His current alignment does not allow for it, and its existence has a deep connection to his past and the kind of person he was before losing his memory.
