Introduction

You have come from many different walks of life; some are pregnant, some are addicts, some ran away, some have been homeless their whole lives, and some are too afraid to come out. All of these things have led people down the dirt road to The Lake house. For miles around nothing of the house or the lake can be seen, and only those in need know of the house. It is nice and has everything the children need, still they may struggle if they need medical assistance, as there is no staff.

Leaning forward and tightening her skinny arms around him as she let a warm tear fall down her cheek. She tasted the saltiness as it made it's way to her lips. She started to cry softly, not making much sound. She was almost sitting in his lap, but not all the way. She was sitting on her legs, bent at the knees.

As the girl commented on her tattoo, Sammie blushed a bit. She had many more on her body, and wondered about the other girl. She bit her lip as she noticed the woods outside, and the squirrel that ran across.
"Got that one when I was 14... and a bunch more after that... You?"

Jordan chuckles a bit, "Got addicted to needles when I was sixteen, I got angel wings--" she shrugs down her jacket a bit to show Sammie; she was wearing a white tank underneath her black leather jacket -- "Then I got this wolf paw print under my belly button, and 'Float Along' on my wrist."

Jordan takes a long drag of her cigarette, flicking the ashes a bit, "I'm planning on getting a dream catcher on my ribs soon enough...If and when I have the money for it anyway." She smiles a bit, her hazel eyes flickering over to Sammie with a playful smirk.

"So, Miss Sammie, tell me about yourself?" Jordan's voice is light, playful as she asks her.

Zechariah slipped under the sheets after Ash did, resting his head on a pillow when he took his glasses off. Everything further away from him than a few feet was a blur, yet he could see Ash just fine. Looking up at the ceiling, he tried to figure out what to say. The young man decided it was best to try and lighten the mood. "The neighbors in this house seem friendly enough. Sure, there are some obstacles and difficulties here, but we can pull through. I have no doubt about that." All of a sudden, he realized he did not feel awkward laying beside her, yet could not find out why. Either way, he shook it off, at the moment, focusing on trying to cheer her up.
