Amber looked up when she heard sleep.
" Um . . . I have a problem with that. I have insomnia. " She said rubbing the back of her head nervously. She didn't like telling people about that because the last person she told was her best friend who later abandon her. She looked back at the Eevee. ' My pokemon?' she thought surprised. She liked the Eevee but if they were going to go back to the real world then it would be a hard break. ' But do YOU want to go back?' her conscious asked suggestively. She thought about it for a sec then looked up at the plater. She reached and grabbed one chewing on hungrily. ' Maybe I don't have to go . . . ' she thought and grinned in her thoughts.

Combat growled, one of the few times the Pokémon communicated verbally. Nobody talked to her like that. Nobody talked to the thickest, most stupid trainers or pokémon like that. The Lucario had drawn back it's fist by the time Flannery had time to reach for her ball. The Lucario's punch would break the girls ribs at least. Blaze, acting more out of concern for the tiny Eevee than the girl cleared the room, and took the blow. Combat, when she realized who she had hit, backed down straight away, Blaze letting his wrists burst into flame in case the aggressive pokémon fancied another round.
The girl began to try to explain her actions; "Yeah, I'm sorry just that Lucario-Combat, was it?-doesn't start realizing that I am not going to try to get it to be friendly to me I just want him to tolerate me."
The statement seemed to get Combat a little more agitated, before an icy glare from Blaze stopped her from doing or saying anything.
"Blaze! Combat! Cool off and back off!" Flannery snapped, recalling both pokémon, and silently cursing them for showing her up again. She rounded on the girl who had snapped at her pokémon. "How stupid was that? I'd excuse it if that was your first encounter with my Lucario, but you should know by now how hot-headed she is! You should have gotten it into your head that if you insult my pokémon any little bit, they're going to hit back hard! That goes for most pokémon you meet, wild or trained, and Blaze isn't always going to be there to take the hit for you! And Combat's a female, before you get yourself into any more scraps with her."
Knight shrunk back a little, but removed the letters he had from his bag, and handed them to Synn and Flannery respectively. Flannery put hers down on the table, clenching her fists, turning her back to others and counting slowly to five, struggling to restrain her emotions. How many times had her pokémon almost attacked the newbs already? It was really starting to wear on her patience. Oak had been right; she needed to control her own temper before she could try to teach her partners how to control theirs.
Skyler spoke about which way they should split up, and Flannery turned around to face the others again. She would prefer to stick with Synn, just in case anything went wrong, but she shook the thought off. Nothing would go wrong, and at least she didn't have to deal with anyone that would clash with Combat in particular. She also had an inkling that Benjamin would get on well with Beon. "Sounds good Skyler. I can take the sea route, it's been a while since Beon's surfed any decent distance anyway."
The Vaporeon cried happily at the mention of the chance to show off it's ability to walk on water, and then continued to watch Lydia and her Charmander curiously.
Flannery frowned at the mention of sleeping. Questions would be asked about the trainers lack of knowledge about the world around them, and that would only be if they failed to notice the trainers were not local, and didn't possess any bags or Trainer id either. She looked up over towards Synn. "Do you think Delia would take some of them for the night? The rest could stay here with us, I think we've got sleeping mats around here somewhere."

"Um...I have a problem with that. I have insomnia."
Flannery tightened her jaw, trying not to tell the girl how happy Combat would be to help her out with that problem. One hit and she'd be out like a lightbulb.
"Something tells me you won't have issues with that tonight. It's been an exhausting day, and I'm sure that even the worst insomniac would sleep after today."

Amber then realized how stupid she was being seeing the Lucario's reactions. She looked down then looked up.
" If you are going to hurt me do it now" she said and Got up holding her arms open. " I don't even care anymore. I am sorry that i insulted your pokemon but i am not going to be the one who gets away with it. So go ahead! Let Combat Attack Me! I need to realize this isn't a dream!!!" she thought of her step mother and wanted to burst into tears again. One day she would truly apologize to the Lucario but today was just not the day. As she waited for Flannery to either reject her idea or let Lucario beat her the Eevee pawed her leg and she sighed.
" I'm am sorry." she whispered and put her arms down. She looked up at Flannery and then closed her eyes sitting down again sitting relaxed, it she decided she should let Combat on her then if she was relaxed it would hurt less.

Haley had just finished exercising and decided it was time to go back inside. "I wonder if anyone has noticed I'm gone... probably not, they seemed pretty distracted." Her thought's were interrupted by Shinx, as he rubbed against her leg.
Haley picked him up "Time to go back inside little guy." She said to him as she scratched behind his ears again.

As Haley entered into the room she instantly saw that this was a bad time to come in, Blaze had just blocked an attack Combat had aimed at Amber. She wasn't sure why Combat was attacking her, but Haley guessed that Amber insulted her some how.
The rest of the people in the room were talking about the different ways they would go to get to Cerulean City.
Flannery said she would like to go the sea route, which to Haley's satisfaction was the opposite way she wanted to go, and since she was not in flannery's group she would go the other way, leading to Mt. Moon.

Haley put the Shinx down then heard someone mention sleep. She could go two or three day's with very little sleep but she was a bit exhausted after everything that had happened.
"Do you think Delia would take some of the for the night? The rest could stay here with us, I think we've got sleeping mats around here somewhere." Flannery said to Synn.
"I could go to Delia, i know all about the Pokemon world so i can answer any questions asked, and the ID is easy, isn't that in a PokeDex, which i assume we will be getting since we just got our first Pokemon. " Haley then began thinking of something else, "Where are the PokeBalls for these little guys?" She said, pointing to the Pokemon in the room.
