Some people are born different and others, are created.

Year 2031

The world hasn't been the same since the comet came in the year 2014. But, it wasn't just a harmless comet, it revealed those who were different and those who just... normal. Most, if not all of the people who survived found out how they were different. They found out they had powers, all different than anyone else who had possessed a gift. It was revealed not long after that the government wanted to start a new society, those who were for it; known as the The Immortals, those who wanted nothing to do with it and wanted to do whatever they pleased with their powers; known as The Defiants, and the ones who refused to chose a side, they while not given a name by the government, named themselves The Centuries, created in the year 2023. All of them were seen differently in the eyes of the few 'normals' left on Earth either from pure luck or because they were immune to the effects of the asteroids.

The Immortals, are seen as the good guys. The ones that are seen on the posters all around the city of Manhattan, the saints so to speak. Which is where their name came from, to everyone else they are seen as the ones that will live forever. To always be there to save the day from whatever threatens the order. Mostly consisting of bringing down the Defiants and making sure every single one of the rebels are brought to justice. But, like with both sides, there are those who wish to keep things the way they are; all somewhat united but separate and those who wish to rebirth it once again to make it were all the super powered individuals have a place, a setting, and a title whether it be hero or villain.

The Defiants, are what you could call the 'villains' of this story or so it seems on the surface. They are ones who don't want to be told how to use their powers, they want to be able to decide that for themselves whether its for the greater good or for evil. They desire to chose it themselves, not with the help of a government filled with normals who know nothing about the powers and the mutants surrounding them.They desire to take down the system in order to start it the way they wish. And to also destroy the ones in their way. And, while at first they all seemed to be on a mission. This is the side that is falling into a division of their own between the ones who wish to change the world and the ones who wish to bring it to its knees.

-The Rebellion
The rebellion is a section of the Defiants that was formed three years ago, containing those who wish to bring the world to its knees. They, unlike the others who they once were a part of, don't want to just disband the society. But, they want to destroy every inch of its foundation from those who rule to those who agree with them (The Immortals) to even those who are a part of them who just get in their way to their goal. Around the city, they are mostly the ones seen on the wanted posters, those that make the citizens want to destroy and kill not just them but the others a part of the defiants. The Rebellion members while, intimidating are one who mostly come at night to raise hell while their 'brothers', The Defiants come out in the day to make their present known without killing whoever they please.

The Centuries
This is their second generation of 'Centuries'. They are the 'underground' superheroes, they unlike the ones like them have chosen to hide their powers, claiming to be normal people. There are only seven of them known to the world. The seven of them were thought to have been killed in the process but, somehow escaped to find themselves equipped with powers of their own. They, have not been discovered by the government but have made themselves known in secret by signing their signature gold C all over the city. They are the ones who wish to bring down both sides of the superpowers. They wish to take down those who wish to throw the society out of whack whether giving the normals all the power or giving the mutants all the powers. These seven while ruthless, will do what they see fit to make the world go back to what it was just eighteen years ago. Where everyone was equal and no one was beneath anyone. But, with the Defiants and Immortal sides growing, will they be able to stay loyal to their cause. Or will these devious seven find themselves pulled a part, joining one of the two already beloved sides.

The 'Normals'
The humans, the ones caught in the crossfire of these three sides. Right after the explosion there were only 3,000 of them all around the world but, in the last eighteen years, more and more have been born and taught what to do and what not to do in order to stay out of the way of the Defiants, Immortals, and Centuries. While most choose a side and hope for them to prevail. Others have trained themselves to help their side even without powers of their own. They fight along side their side whether its the 'heroes' or the 'villains'. Or, more recently they are hired by the society or Defiants to infiltrate enemt side and find out what they can do make that side fall to its knees. Either way, whether they are standing up for what they believe in or spying on the other side, they are much more needed than they were in beginning.
