Haruhi woke up, yawning a bit, then he fell out of bed when he noticed the time on his alarm clock.
What!? He screamed mentally in his head.
How could mom let me sleep in this late!? He scrambled to his feet grabbing his typical school uniform. Boys never really had unique uniforms.. Just plain black or blue. He was grateful that Sanctuary's uniforms were black. He slipped it all on, then his glasses, not even bothering to comb his hair.
I'm late, I'm so late! Touya was right, I am definitely not cut out for Sanctuary High! He ran downstairs, noticing his mother was just cooking away,
"Mom! Why didn't you wake me up?!" He asked distressed, panting a bit from his rush, brown eyes looking at her expecting an answer. His mother just turned on her heel, handing him a glass of orange juice,
"You said you wanted to be like Touya, so I chose to let you wake up on your own. Touya does every morning." She replied blinking innocently.
Haruhi drank the orange juice as he listened to her reasoning for letting her son be late, then he face palmed instantly,
"Mom! I said I'm trying to be more like him, not that I'm there yet!" and he sat the glass on the table, running for the front door,
"Bye-bye!" and he grabbed his shoes, running out the door in his socks. Well, one thing could never be said about Haruhi. He didn't lack determination. The brown haired boy sped as fast as he could down the street, ignoring the sting of his feet hitting the concrete sidewalk.
I can't be late. I can't. I just can't! I got to prove to Touya that I deserve to go to Sanctuary.. that I belong there. This definitely isn't a very good start though! He almost didn't notice it, but he ran through traffic, barely missing an oncoming car! Haruhi screamed an apology at the shouting driver, but he didn't stop running for anyone or anything. His eyes and smile lit up when he saw the building in the distance,
"I just might make it!" and.... he tripped. Right in front of the gate,
"O-ow.." Then he heard a stern voice,
"Hey, kid. Do you have a student ID card?" A man dressed in an all black suit and sunglasses asked from his side of the gate. Haruhi nodded, digging into his pocket and flashing the man his student identification from his wallet,
"Yeah.." He grinned with a slight blush, biting his bottom lip nervously. He'd seriously embarrassed himself already. The gates opened at the signal of the guard and he ushered for Haruhi to step inside. He quickly did so, not wanting to anger the guard more than he had to. That guy was at least six foot.. compared to Haruhi's scrawny 5'6''..
Haruhi looked around, mouth agape as he stared in awe. The buildings were beautiful. You'd think it was built just yesterday by the condition they were in. His eyes instantly fell on the Gold dorm. It looked like a Castle, just without towers. It was marvelous. Then he looked back at his ID card. Silver? He looked around, then noticed a Building that resembled a 2 star hotel.
Well.. it kind of figures.. He laughed aloud to himself.
How was I thinking I'd get to stay somewhere as splendid as Gold dorm? He shook his head, looking around for his bags. He was sure he'd sent them in..
Oh! They were probably in his room already! He rushed over to Silver dorm, sliding his ID card into the key slot, and opened the door,
"Security sure is tight here.." and he went upstairs after eyeballing the lounge. It looked great compared to the outside of the building. Then he noticed a hall of doors, each having a name written in silver letters on a slide bar..
"Oh.. we're bound to change then.. So I do have a chance for Gold dorm?" He saw his name was on the first door to the left, across from his was someone named Verin, then next to him was Kagura, and diagonal from his door was Taos.
Alright.. At least he knew his neighbors names. He slid into his room, a scream of shock instantly emitting from his mouth,
"EH!?" Everything was...unpacked neatly.
They went through my stuff!?
