Acropolis

Ciel nodded in agreement. "I'll call you guys if anything happens, but I think everything will be fine."
Though he smiled reassuring, Ciel couldn't help but feel a little worried. He might have good skills in diplomacy and insight, but if the meeting turned to a fight, he doubted he would even be able to defend himself, let alone the girl. With her memory seemingly gone, would she still know how to fight? Watching as the others left, Ciel quietly stopped Feng for just a moment, handing him a small stack of pages from his journal, just quickly enough so no one else would notice.
"Take this," He whispered quietly, "It's all the information I've gathered on a certain topic I've been researching. I'll explain it all if I get the chance, but if something happens to me, I want you to do whatever you think is right with this information. Either way, I think this would be best in your hands."
On the first page of the stack, only three words were written; a title: "Sanctum Prime Research"
Closing the door behind Feng before he could reply, Ciel turned back to the two elves.
"If you'd both like to start, let's begin." He smiled to the woman, "We'll answer your questions to the best of our abilities, but even if we can't give you what you need, I expect no violence from either of you. Also," He turned to the white haired girl, "Anything said in this meeting is to be kept confidential. The woman said that the less people know of this, the better, and we have to respect her wishes."

Was this boy stupid or did he really think he could stop Alice if she wanted to get violent, it was unimportant, she wasn't planning on harming the girl, it would be much too detrimental to her own health... Alice grabbed another chair and set it about a foot away from the White Devil. Alice laughed then said, "The last time we were this close we were blocking each other's knives," dismissing this, she looked at the feminine boy, she hated him for his blatant optimism.
She kept her eyes on him for a moment then returned them to the White Devil, "So, let's get started then. first of all, you really don't remember me? Those other's obviously don't understand you, I'm the only person on this side of Acropolis who truly understands what you are, don't forget that. And they're not here anyway, you don't have to keep up appearances, this stupid little androgynous vixen won't say anything to the rest of the morons..." She gestured back to the feminine boy, trying to get on his nerves, she hated people like him...

Feng folded the papers he had gotten from Ciel and placed them inside his bag a few questions popping up but they had to wait, 'Ciel must be thinking that something might happen...' Feng thought, then looked at the other two "I haven't Properly introduced myself, I am Feng Soushiki," Feng said with a bow to the elven man and Shen, " I'm a traveler/wanderer please to meet you two." Feng said with a smile.

Shen looked at Feng with a blank stare then looks at the ground " my full name is Shen Cloudhaven.........im a cleric/ mage of sorts..." shen opens his bag and takes out an apple "would you like one ?" he moves his hand with the apple over to Feng " what about you elf boy ?" he says to Guilettos with a smile and takes another apple " there very good.............. they where just picked earily this mornning"

"Guilettos.. Guilettos Harmien.", he introduced himself with a slight grin and a nod of his head. He actually wasn't too sure about his occupation, but he was in search of something and that one fact remained clear.
Watching as the man rummaged through his pack, he pulled out some apples. He know knew this necromancer went by the name of Shen and the kind man who saved the people from the burning inn as 'Feng Soushiki'. 
Shen offered the pair with some freshly picked apples. He accepted the fruit with a wide smile written across his lips. "Thank you!", he said with another nod of his head.

Taking a bite out of the apple, it tasted good and juicy. Guilettos was actually enjoying his treat well when he noticed a white haired boy standing against the church. He tilted his head in curiosity. Lifting up his arm, he gave the young man a wave with a light flick of his wrist. "Hello?!", he called out to the lone figure. Somehow this youngster gave off the same feel as the 'White Devil' and not just hair color. There was just something about the two that seemed similar in comparison.

Almond was startled by the question. She obviously had a grudge against her and saw her as a monster. But Almond couldn't see herself as a blood thirsty demon. "What happened between us? I honestly don't remember. Truthfully, I would love to patch up the things that I had supposedly done. And I hope that maybe we could be allies and not enemies." The flashing behind her eyes became an ache as she soaked up every last detail of the woman's face. She closed her eyes and rubbed them.

She really didn't remember Alice, before this made Alice angry, but now, it was replaced with an emotion Alice hadn't felt in a very long time, pity. She felt bad that this girl couldn't remember what made her... her... She tried dismissing this thought, but then realized that she was similar to what Alice once was, she had a blank slate, something that can be written on with ease. I shouldn't fill this girl's head with thoughts of the past... Alice thought, Or she'll be just like me...
Alice stood up and walked behind the White Devil, she then said, "No use talking about the past..." She touched the girl's hair, then continued talking, "What do you know about Sanctum Prime?"

As soon as she heard the question, Almond's head felt like it was going to explode. She screamed cradling herself and slouched to the floor. Then she blacked out and someone else seemed to take over. Her body stopped trembling and a smile curved up her cheeks. This wasn't her anymore. It was something much more devious and powerful. The spirit that protected her for many years. The White Devil as she is known as. Wobbly, she stood and faced the woman. She looked her over, grinned, and chuckled deep and low. "You again. How many times do I have to tell you to back off? You know I won't tell you anything." She laughed like a maniac then. However, in the back of her mind, the real Almond watched as the White Devil enjoyed herself. This time she'll remember.

Alice began laughing loudly, the thing that stood before her was that same beast she fought two years before, the same monster that almost killed her, the only person to stand up to Alice in close combat in a very, very long time.
"So, you're finally with us again, White Devil..." Alice said, a large smile encompassing her face, she turned her head to the feminine boy, "You may want to leave, boy, and I will ask this only once, don't bother bringing in the others, unless you want their blood on your hands..." Alice grabbed the knife from her belt and slipped another knife from her sleeve, "You're going to tell me everything, weather you want to or not..."

"No! Stop!" Ciel dashed in-between the blond woman and the girl. Grabbing the girl's shoulder, he looked at her straight in the eyes. However, what stared back was not the girl that had just been there. There was another presence hiding behind her eyes; something both terrible and powerful. It's name was well known, whispered in the darker corners of Acropolis, and in hushed voices by the many who tried, and failed to defeat her. The girl was no longer the innocent white haired elf, she had now become white devil once again.
"You..." Ciel lowered his hand, stepping back slightly, "It's you again, isn't it?"
He made no move to reach for his staff. In her current state, the girl could probably kill him before he'd even be able to raise it in defense. He never was much of a fighter.
With no change in his expression, he began to focus. If he could heal fast enough, he would probably be able to survive being stabbed if the meeting turned violent.
Was there still a chance to prevent that?
Still looking at the white haired girl, Ciel spread his arms to show he meant no harm. "Calm down," He said softly, "Remember who you are. Remember who I am. You don't want to do this."
Would reasoning like this still work on her? Still standing firm, Ciel braced himself for her response.

Shen then thats out a book and starts to flip through the pages as if looking for something in its pages."no no no........." he then slams the book in anger "damnit all to the
void !!!!!!!!.............stupid book" Shen puts the book back in his his bag, then keeps looking through the bag. He then gets up and grabs his staff walks to the garden to blow of some steam, but he leaves his open bag where he was sitting. " clam your self Shen ...... no need to do some thing you'll regret soon after.."

White devil stared at the boy in front of her, wondering what he wants to do with Almond. Almond may be a totally different than her and she gets on her nerves, but she was essential to her survival. The only way White Devil could live was if her very existence remained resonated with another soul. If Almond dies, White Devil dies. "What do you want with that wimp of a girl? Why don't we play for a while?" she asked the boy, Ciel. Then looking at the girl, Alice, she said,"Excuse me, honey, you need to give the grown ups a little chatter time. Why don't you go put that knife back in the kitchen before you hurt yourself?"

Ignoring the demon's insult, Alice laughed, then took a step back from the boy, "I warned you, you stupid bastard... As soon as you're done playing with the stupid child, you crazy bitch, come at me, and then we can finish what we started two years ago... Trust me, this time, it will end in one of us dead," Alice smirked, then laughed again.
Of course, on the off chance that Alice might lose, she had a few contingencies in place, for example, the band of morons outside would come running in with but a single scream... how foolish...

White Devil eyed Alice with look as if to say Really? Ignoring her, she asked Ciel,"What do you want with my Almond?" This time her voice was serious and firm. A smile no longer played on her face.

Almond. So that was her name. Ciel finally understood completely. Almond hadn't merely lost her memory. It was never hers to begin with. The girl called Almond and the creature known as the white devil were two separate entities, and yet at the same time, they were one and the same, existing in the same body and mind. It was a paradox, an impossibility, to have innocence and sin existing as one, and yet here it was, standing right in front of him.
Ciel just smiled. "I want to help her," He replied simply, "but I will not help you." Ciel smiled sadly, "Don't you see? She has the potential to become your redemption; an atonement for sins that are not hers to bear. Even though mankind is entrenched in sin, she is still innocent. She has the right to live her life the way she chooses, and I will not let you corrupt her."

"Shen seems easily aggravated don't you think?" Feng said with a small chuckle, but then Feng heard the scream and sensed a change in the aura inside the church a sinister aura had appeared 'Not good someone must've snapped.' Feng said looking towards the door, "Guilettos it seems somethings has gone wrong inside the church, I sense someone sinister, lets go to help them." Feng said, then turned around and opened the doors to the church. Feng then saw the white haired woman from before looking towards Ciel with a murderous look the other just stood a few steps away from him, 'She is emitting the aura the white haired one...' Feng thought, "Need of assistance?" Feng said.

Turning his attention alertly to sounds inside the church, he nodded. Guilettos had heard the scream as well. Watching intently as Feng grasped the handles to the door and flung them open, he popped the rest of the apple into his mouth and chucked the core into a nearby trash can. The little white haired girl looked fine physically, but mentally, she was somebody else and the difference was easily resembled in her glare. It was stained with evil and sin. No longer humane. 

Unstrapping his bow from across his arm, he snatched a lone arrow from his back and readily stood by Feng in attack mode. 
In the back of his mind, he hoped that this fight wouldn't last long and end peacefully with no one hurt, but he didn't believe it to happen. He'd ears rumors before, about this... 'White Devil'. It resonated within a human being and controlled its victim as it pleased, leaving the owner of the body helpless and unable to remember nor do anything while the White Devil was in command. If they killed this girl right now, there and then. The life of the White Devil would forever disappear in existence, but the youngsters body would be sacrificed in sins she had not committed. This would leave them no choice but to keep the poor kid alive and try to contain the 'evil' within dormant.

Shen quickly returns to the church " what a strong aura.. so evil.... so much anger.....poor girl" Shen steped infront of Ciel and Guilettos " no need for that just yet you two....... this thing inside this young girl is very strong " he then walks towords the white haired girl " stop this please"

White Devil stared at the small group in front of her. How does he suppose to 'release' Almond from her? She looked at all the people who stood here for Almond. Hmmmm... "Why do you all want to protect a girl you don't even know? She's a stranger and has nothing to do with you. All you will do is make her life more complicated than it already is. She has been through too much already. I am a blessing to her. I protect her. If I leave her, she will be on her own, defenseless, and scarred. She'll die without me!"

"Why not protect her? I have vowed to protect people in need no matter the person, even if they reject me I shall help them even people like you. But you have only made that innocent girls life harder, you have people that want to kill you, how do you think that will affect her? She might not live a happy and peaceful life because of you that's why she need help. " Feng said with and expressionless face. Feng hoped that what he said might get through to her because from what he has heard it was true, also hoping that fight wont break out he does not like hurting people despite all the years he spent studying martial arts.

"YOUR A CURSE!!!!!!!!!" Shen yells at the white devil " i know of a spell that could release Almond..... but i dont not have it but.................." he closes his eyes " we would have to steel it from ....some very bad people it would put us all in harms way and the spell is dangerous to" A tear falls down his face very slowly " I told her that i would never go back there... i hope she'll understand" he says in a low voice then he whispers " sorry Zira...... where ever you are..... I apologizefor this" another tear falls

"It's odd....." Ciel said, "That a demon like you considers yourself a blessing to the girl." Stepping a little too close, he gently grasped some of her hair, as if examining it.
"You're nothing but a murderer." He said sadly, "You do not protect the girl. In fact, the only reason she's ever in danger is because of you." Letting her hair go, Ciel stared at the assassin straight in the eyes. "If protecting her is that you say your job is, I relieve you of that duty. From now on, I will protect her. Whether it happens tomorrow, or if it takes the rest of my life, I will find a way to release her from your power. I will set her free."
Standing firm, Ciel pointed straight at the girl, "Return control of the body to Almond." He commanded, "You have nothing to gain in this situation, and you have no right to deprive the girl of her freedom."

"Almond you can do this, stop fearing this demon and you can do anything " Shen looks into the eye of the white devil " I'll protect you with all my life as well" Shen smiles walks closer,then puts his hand on her sholder and smiles smiles even even bigger.

White Devil couldn't believe what she was hearing. How could this mere man know a way to separate her from Almond and she doesn't? After all, she's 287 years old. She remembered when she found Almond. Her host back then was beginning to fade away, so she had to find a new one before both of them died. The picture was still clear in her mind. A burning house that soon collapsed and people simply shrugged the incident off and pretended nothing had even happened. But she was curious and went in the rubble, searching for anything that might have survived. That was when she found this little girl, barely alive and badly burned. However, her spirit didn't dwindle away like most did. She was a fighter from the beginning. At that moment, she let go of her failing host and held on to Almond, bringing her back to life. And to protect her, she hid her memories behind a wall, knowing that one day it will fall. Now, she had to make a choice concerning her well-being. These people say they can protect her, care for her. Perhaps there is a way to test how capable they are of doing so. "Very well. I will leave Almond and myself in your hands. No longer will I interfere with her life unless it is absolutely necessary. If you can take Almond to where ever this spell is and bring her back to safety without allowing any harm to come to her, I will let you perform the spell and leave Almond to her life." She turned and looked every one of them in the eyes, wondering if she is making the right decision. And after that, she allowed Almond back in and she went to the deepest corner in her mind.

Almond watched in horror as her voice was speaking and her body moving without her telling it to. All the while, these people were saying that they would protect her, no matter what. This she never experienced before. It felt as if she had been asleep for most of her life. She didn't remember most of it, in fact. I hope you can forgive me, a voice whispered in her head. Then, the thing controlling her body said that Almond could have control again. But it seems like she was going to go somewhere dangerous. Suddenly, she could feel her body again and she fell down, feeling sick and dizzy.

Feng smiled as a peaceful solution was made, "That's good, I'd like to be there when it happens also." Feng said with a smile on his face, he looked at the others, 'Still what will the other woman do know?' Feng thought. Feng then looked back at Almond, seeing her body fail her as she fell down Feng dashed and grabbed her so she wouldn't fall on the floor, 'She doesn't look so good.' he thought, "Shen or Ciel she doesn't look to good her she seems weak." Feng said looking towards them.
