The first of the morning sunlight beamed through the curtains of Ciel's room, lighting up the dimly lit study. At the desk, Ciel was scribbling notes into his journal as the oil in his lamp ran low from a full night of use. It wasn't unusual for Ciel to work all night like this, but the last evening had been particularly hard on him. Stacks of books from the inn's library lay around him. Research material that, while interesting, had proven to be of little, or no use for the task at hand. Ciel was researching Sanctum Prime, a power sought after by all the kingdoms of Acropolis. Despite the sheer volume of reference material, there was very little actual information on the topic, and even less in readable languages, like Elven or Common. Most of the books were written with words and texts long since forgotten, and were only useful for the drawings and diagrams inside.
Sighing, Ciel lay back in his chair, tired from a night of such little progress. For a moment, he considered going to sleep, but quickly decided against it. There was still work to do, after all, and when it wasn't absolutely necessary, sleep seemed like a terrible waste of time. Careful not to make any noise that could wake the other guests, Ciel quietly began putting the books back in their correct spots. Just as he put in the last book, he paused for a moment, then slipped some of his notes in next to it. Perhaps it would be able to help the next person who came by.
Humming a cheerful tune as he picked up his belongings, Ciel made sure to put a small pouch of coins by the innkeeper's door before leaving the inn. As he stepped outside, a gentle breeze slightly scented with sapphire root flowed around him, almost pulsing with it's gentle, but deceptively simple smell. Taking a moment to savor the beautiful day, Ciel smiled, and began walking forward. The day had barely started.
And the search for Sanctum Prime had just begun.

But for him, there was a more important objective at hand- getting the Sactum Prime. He had heard of it before, everyone had, though all everyone knew was that it was something that could grant wishes; for all anyone knew, it could actually be a person, maybe even a place. But Tanchell didn't want it, someone from Nightfall getting to the Sactum Prime would be disastrous, so nothing good could come out of him using the Sactum Prime with his power urges. Instead, he wanted to keep away anyone from Nightfall and anyone with ill intentions away from the Sactum Prime. With him alone it sounded impossible, but perhaps if he could get some allies... for him, that was easier said than done.
He readjusted his coat as he moved on from the inn; inside was a pocket that held a book he had stolen from a library. He felt guilty about it and admittedly this was before getting another pack of cigarettes, but he had some good intentions with stealing it, the book was titled 'Ancient Artifacts', he didn't read into it much, but surely such a book would come in handy...
And there he went justifying things again.
"I am here to visit my relatives." Feng said, "Oh very well then." the guards said and let Feng pass. 'I am sorry mother and father I know you have already passed away but its the only way I can pass this gate.' Feng thought as he passed them, he looked around feeling completely familiar with the area but how couldn't he he used to run every inch of Haven. Feng placed his Robe on and put the towel in his backpack.
Feng walked until finding the graveyard, seeing a few people there, he walked until finding two gravestones "Here lies Fang Yun, Dearly beloved mother and lover. XXXX to XXXX died at 68 years...(Don't know what year it is :P)" one red and another " Here lies, Jet Soushiki, Dearly beloved father and lover, XXXX to XXXX died at 77 years..." Feng prayed for a moment then left with a single tear running down his face. Feng walked out of the graveyard cleaning his tear, then walked towards the Revanwhite Inn.....
He stumbled through the welcoming doors, managing to shove away the few herbs in his pockets. The lady at the front was smiling at first then started to giggle when he came barging in. Finally he made his way to the counter and straightened himself out.
"You're out late! What can I do for you?", she asked in the normal service-woman tone that most workers used.
"The cheapest room you have would be best!", he answered enthusiastically which was followed by a loud exhale and a crooked grin.
She flipped through some papers and found him an empty slot for low pay. "Here you go sweetheart", she handed him a little brown slip of paper,"Just head left and go straight down the hall towards the library. To your left will be the door to your room. Have great night and hope you sleep well!", then she waved him off white a smile.
Guilettos glanced down at the piece of paper and read the room number while heading the direction she had instructed him to go. He stopped at the end of the hallway and turned his body slightly to check the room number. Suddenly he turned around to the sound of rustling paper. Catching sight of a man flipping through books and scribbling stuff down on a sheet of paper, Guilettos wondered how long he'd be there. What he was writing down didn't really come to mind, but he hoped that the man wouldn't be there for too long.
*Click* The door to the room opened and swung open freely on its own. He walked in and inhaled happily, taking in the surroundings. It seemed cozy and nice enough to stay in for the night. Dragging his feet along the way, he walked over to the bed and let himself fall down without any hesitation and instantly grinned and closed his eyes as soon as he hit the warmth of the snug bed. "Ahh...." he sighed contently and felt himself dozing off into the abyss of deep slumber.
The arrow propelled into the chest of one of the men following her, he fell to the ground in a loud flop. The second man was much stealthier than the first, Alice didn’t hear him until he was 5 meters away.
She quickly dropped her bow and pulled out the knife at her belt, and another from her sleeve. The man slashed a blade downward towards her right shoulder, she quickly dodged and stabbed his arm with her knife, she then propelled her other blade into the man’s neck, when she ripped out the blade, the man fell down.
Alice wiped the blood from her blades off on the man’s clothing, then slowly walked to the first man and ripped out the arrow imbedded in his chest. She then took back her bow and removed her mask.
“You’ll have to do better than that to kill me…” she said spitting on the second man’s corpse.
She changed her clothes then quickly returned to the road, the distant sky being lit with first light, by the time the sun was fully visible, she would be in Haven.

"can you spair some coins for and old sick man" he says with a rattle in his voice
"" yes i can " Shen gives the man some coins and a potion " that this before you go to bed and you should fell fine" he says as hes leaves the man in the distance. after walking 10 miles Shen stops to rest and watches a river flow under a bridge that was neer by. He then takes out an apple and stars to eat it" this is the life" he says with much happness and a mouth full of food.
Alice turned her head to the guard, smiled, then said, in a cheery voice, “I just need a place to rest, I was walking all night and my feet are tired,” her smile turned into a bit of a pout.
“Well I’m sorry to hear that, would you like me to escort you to an Inn?” he said, a cocky grin forming on his face.
“Well aren’t you sweet, but no thanks I’ve been here before,” she smiled once again and continued walking, she heard the guards whispering about her as she left, all vulgarity of course.
This is why I hate men, she thought to herself, continuing on into the dimly lit town.
If her contact was correct, something, or someone, in this town knew where to find the Sanctum Prime, but she didn’t know who, or what, this could possibly be… but she had to find whatever it was, for it was the only way she could redeem herself, and the only way she could never repeat what happened just an hour earlier.

One of the guards stepped forward as he approached, blocking his way with a sword, "May I ask what you're business here is?" the guard asked him, raising an eyebrow in suspicion.
"Oh, just passing through, nothing more... I assure you..." Tanchell said, looking away from the guard's gaze, There's a reason why Haven is so peaceful... He thought, trying to keep paranoia at bay so that he didn't accuse the guard in an outburst.
"Then you wouldn't mind showing me what's in that coat of yours," The guard said.
"Y-yes, certainly, s-sir..." Tanchell said, opening his coat reluctantly, just wide enough so that you could barely see all the pockets.
The Guard gazed at the inside of the coat, even lifting it up gently with his sword.
As he was doing this, Tanchell gritted his teeth, keeping his arms raised, Don't screw this up for yourself. The guard has every right to suspect you, a man wearing a black coat trying to sneak by, though you did nothing wrong. Except steal that book. Could he recognize the book? Would he really-
"You're free to enter, but no funny business, alright?" The guard said, putting his sword back in his belt and stepping aside for Tranchell, but the guard kept his gaze on Tanchell.
Even when Tanchell entered the town, he couldn't help but think that the guard was still watching as he got further away. He didn't dare to look back and check if this was true. He couldn't help but feel like a criminal here, polluting such a peaceful place, he felt guilty about smoking and looked for where he could discard his cigarette without polluting the ground. As he was hurriedly searching, he accidentally bumped into a blond female, "Oops, sorry," He apologized, but then a book fell out of his jacket. The very same book, titled 'Ancient Artifacts', that he stole from a library. He froze for a moment, Relax. If you act suspicious then she will have reason to suspect, He carefully kneeled down to pick up the book.

Alice looked the man over, he had an ominous feeling about him, she couldn’t put her finger on it however. When he bent over to grab a book, Alice saw the title, ‘Ancient Artifacts’.
A small grin lit up her face, quickly replaced by a coy, and adorable, smile.
“Oh it’s okay,” she said, “You a reader? What’s it about?”
She beckoned towards the book he had just picked up.
It was only a feeling, defying all logic, but something it was those feelings that led to the most interesting things....

Deciding it couldn't hurt to follow her a little longer, Ciel continued trailing the girl. If she was simply lost, or was looking for a specific area, he would probably be able to help her. He had spent his childhood in Haven after all. Humming a cheerful tune, Ciel smiled as he walked. With luck, he thought, they might even become friends.
“Are you a treasure hunter? Or some sort of Archeologist?” she said, changing her coy smile to one of intrigue, “I’ve always been interested about Ancient society, I would love to talk about it, want to grab some breakfast?”
Damn I'm coming off as too forceful, she suddenly realized, but she thought of a quick save.
She began playing with a strand of her hair, trying to seem cute and ripe for the picking, something she rather excelled at, oddly enough.
It was then that she got her first good smell of him, something beneath the cigarette smoke, seemed very familiar, but she still couldn't place it.
"No wonder this is the cheapest room!", he muttered quite annoyed, but it's not like he could blame anyone. He did in fact ask for the cheapest room and all the check-in lady did was follow his request.
He sat there, legs folded and his eyes were staring at the door. It was almost like he was trying to use mind control on getting anyone on the other side of that door to be quiet.
There are many things that Guilettos can tolerate and his patience level is longer than the average, but becoming sleep deprived from nonstop noise is a whole new thing.
His expression was quite creepy to look at. Panda-like eyebags, shirtless, messy white haired man, jaw sagging open while drool dropped out of it. His eyes were unblinking as he continued to stare at the door.
Finally, he dragged himself out of the room, his back bent into a slouch. He pushed his arms out towards the ceiling and yawned. Manners as of now was not anywhere near his mind. Guilettos reached down and scratched his stomach, the while library lined in front of him. Various people were waking around not just upstairs inside the library, but his keen sense of hearing also picked up noise from the level below. 'Damn it!' he thought as he bared his teeth. He reached deep into his pockets and pulled out some peppermint leaves,'Maybe having a nice hot drink would be good for me'.
Making his way silently down the steps, he observed the bottom floor, but saw no one in sight, but the check-in lady. He shrugged and asked where he could get some hot water.
She blushed slightly at his shirtless figure and quickly scurried into a door behind her, returning soon after with a cup of steaming water. "Here..", she said softly, passing him the cup.
Guilettos didn't notice her shy reaction and just took the cup and sat down on a bench nearby, dropping the greens into the water. He smiled as it began to change into a yellower hue, the minty scent filling his nose. If he couldn't sleep then might as well observe people coming in to stay.

"What the-?!" Ciel lept back in surprise as red and orange flames leapt up to swallow the room. To his even greater surprise, the girl simply walked out as if nothing had happened. As he watched, he noticed something strange about the way she walked up the stairs. She stayed mostly in the darker areas when she could, and avoided the gazes of others, suggesting advanced skills in stealth. However, even a master of stealth wouldn't be able to hide in such a small area, especially when one already knew of her presence.
For a moment, Ciel considered attempting to put the fire out, but with a blaze that size, it would be nearly impossible without assistance. At the very least though, he might be able to warn the people staying at the inn, and stop the girl from using the oil she stored in her canteen. At the very least, he would be able to save a few lives, and at best, he might be able to stop her in time to save the whole inn. Shouting fire as he ran after her, Ciel found her sitting in the room closest to the library, apparently waiting for something.
"You." Ciel took a moment to catch his breath as he stepped closer. For the first time, he realized why he had felt so strange when he saw her. He had heard of this girl. Pointing his staff towards her like a sword, he frowned, slowly stepping closer.
"I know you." He said softly, "You're an assassin from Nightfall; the white devil!"
By 'ran into some money' she of course meant took off a dead corpse, but he didn't need to know that...
She giggled, "By the way my name's Alice, whats yours?"
It was then that she heard someone screaming fire from down the road. Damn, this is just what I need, she thought to herself.
Bluntly drinking his tea, he rested both elbows on his knees and haunched over.
Suddenly another figure also dashed a few minutes after her yelling, "Fire! Fire!" and then running up the steps to follow the blue vested girl he'd seen earlier.
The check-in lady began to panic and hurriedly slammed at a button which set off an oversized bell just above the hotel to start swinging side to side, creating a loud 'DING-DONG!'.
Almost every main building here had one of those to warn about things such as fires. It was a sort of alarm to tell others that something was happening.
Guilettos stood up from the bench and calmly placed the tea down. He jogged up the steps and decided to grab his belongings before various townspeople would come and start throwing buckets of water into the room just below his. After all if the fire got worse then he'd be ready to evacuate.
As he approached his room towards the library, he stepped into his dwelling and saw the two 'girls' (Guilettos thinks Ciel is a girl) from earlier.
OOC:You two (Almond and Ciel) are in the room closest to the library. That happens to be Guilettos's room xD Just wanted to pop in a little twisty there.
